Quaint little store with a great variety. Full service meat counter was amazing! The grocery bags are super thick/heavy duty. I felt bad throwing them away.

Accident or idiocy? Purched prime rib that someone had cut along the bone and then hid with string to reattach. Will not purchase meat here again.

While the prices could be better, its the best option on the island. The front retains a distinct modern look dating back to the 1960s but the interior is just like any new Vons across Southern California. Because its a Vons you can use coupons and rewards here as well as Pavilions, Albertsons, and Safeway stores across the country. So thats nice. Parking is also limited so walk or bike when possible.

Ok. Ok ok! Ok! Ok! Cons in Coronado? You hand made sandwiches? Near restaurant Quality! Very good job. Try making your own mayonnaise next time. It’s easy. And you add your own style to it. Workers? Professional! Great work!!

Fairly small for a vons and some items are somewhat limited.

This location is inside the North Island Naval Base and it caters for the family and defendants of the US Navy, Armed forces, And other’s. Basically it’s almost the same as Vons outside base but here they don’t charge sales tax these are just one of the privileges in joining the Military services. Of course some products you find in other Vons stores don’t have and some products they do have’s here. Keep in mind it defends on stores managers in choosing products that are not common and some are common. So if you want to join the service this is your opportunities and one of the privileges that you can get in joining the service and on top of that your family is of course will enjoy too. Job wise you have a secured job and at the same time you can go to continue your studies through government services offered. If you are young with some expertise that you want to pursue your course this is a great opportunity of a lifetime and retired young that you won’t regret, you are building your own future.

These guys never could make a better sandwich than Ralphs... But todays was a real doozy. The bread was too soft, bordering on soggy, the temperature was over-chilled... This is actually my 3rd disappointing experience in a San Diego area supermarket in a row. 1st was the G Street Ralphs (stale blueberry pop tarts...? Frosted?? In what universe but here!?), 2nd was the University Avenue Trader Joes (stale plain bagels), and today... Vons. Im gonna try Whole Foods. Ill let you know.

Our Coronado Vons is on the small side but they still have a decent selection. Its our friendly, neighborhood store.

It was a grocery store! Also if theyre out of something ask because they might have some in the back. Shout out to the guy who grabbed me some fresh rosemary when there wasnt any out on display.

Great store. Parking is in the back. Its an nostalgic vintage feel but once inside the square footage is used well.They have a great wine selection.

Clean and very well organized. Customer service was great. Specially at the deli. The guy that helped me was great. I do recommend.

Manager named Raquel, very rude, cant void items, also cant understand when I say the deli counter rang an item up wrong that Id like it fixed not a lecture. Self check out machines dont function right. Avoid this location at all costs.

Being a visitor I was here for the first time. The design of the store and where things are located is unintuitive. I asked an employee for two basic items he tried to show me where they would be if they had them, said they did not. After I spend another 10 minutes looking I actually found them. Employees do not seem to know whether they have something or not or not looking closely enough to find out that they do. Its the only supermarket on the island so I think they rest on that.

Small, cramped but an essential resource for island dwellers. There’s long been the promise of expanding into the space next door. If it happens then it’ll be the best grocer in Coronado. Till then, the quality of Boney’s gives it top prize.

A nice enough store. No customer service issues. I always find what Im looking for.

This Vons location exercises no Covid precautions . They do not limit the number of people in their stores at any given time. They do not sanitize carts. Typically have a shortage of cashiers on duty. It is not unusual for only two cashiers to be operating causing long checkout lines crowding the aisles where people are shopping. The morning cashiers like to chat with everyone which makes checking out take even longer. Other than arrows on the floor indicating the direction of an aisle (which everyone ignores) they have not made modifications to their store operation to ensure the safety of their customers and employees.

Nice little Vons!

The cashier was so friendly! She also saved me $27 by offering me a Vons card. I was in the store 2 days ago and no one offered me a Vons card. I sure would have loved to have started saving money my first trip there!

First time in one of these stores. Great selection of deli foods and craft beer. Prices seemed pretty cheap for sandwiches and deli counter.

Over priced and bad service

I only came in for Ben and Jerrys Cherry Garcia ice cream and they didnt have any pints st all. One star off! They only had these dinky containers of Cherry Garcia so I had to buy those instead of what I really wanted.

Great vons very clean I’m giving 3 stars though because I street parked and your employees who make sure people aren’t parking there are harassing people on the sidewalk telling them they can’t park here in a very rude tone I understand it’s a private parking lot and you only want shoppers there but maybe train the employees to be a bit nicer

Place is veey clean and has a great selection

It’s a typical grocery store, but it works really well for the beach. You can come in Sandy from the shore and know that you’re not going to ruin their floors and no one‘s gonna look at you funny because you’re in your swimsuit. I found everything I needed here even though it’s a little bit smaller than my local Vons. Big selection of ready to go drinks and sandwiches.

If youre staying in Coronado and your going to eat out every meal then this review wont mean much to you. However, if youre trying to enjoy Coronado on a tighter budget then shopping at Vons makes great sense. Park behind the store. Plenty of great selections and very friendly folks inside. Very nice place and glad we found it.

Theyre pretty good I like their Bakery but I dont steal anything from the store and theyre always making this announcement saying lyrics please monitor your store every time Im walking in there and I go to the bakery which is weird because I dont steal their donuts here I always pay for them and then their worker who is usually pretty nice pic of Ron Herre hes telling me how I dont need this in my hand I dont need to scan it Ill just enter the code and Im like why is to be a cashier to so I know that you dont have to scan fruits and vegetables that you enter in codes and I know what things you have to weigh and what things you dont say I didnt need him telling you that Im having an attitude with me because Im a customer or maybe I forgot just needs to like put it on the counter away from his register and thats good he doesnt even to say anything to me.

Clean and good options

I like this Vons location in Coronado because it is very convenient to come to. It is easy to save money buying prepared foods and groceries. It is about 3 blocks from the Hotel Del Coronado and beach. I would go back to this store anytime when I go to Coronado.

Very small, which if you are looking for a good variety of things this is not the place to go. If you need a couple of things then it might work for your needs. Dont waste time trying to park in the front of the building, there is a small parking lot in the back.

Always a pleasure coming to get my greens here, bread as fresh as I like it, and only place I have been able to find jalapeno cheddar bread..

Very nice and convenient grocery store in the heart of Coronado.

Old Vons on the 900 block of Orange Ave in the middle of town. Been open forever it seems like. Older style layout but has everything that you would expect in a modern Vons or Safeway. Modest selections of everything that you need and its only a few blocks to the beach. Ample parking in the back lot with street parking available. Store Manager Alexis is great as well. I used to work with him in Point Loma.

Yikes. I have been here twice in the last week as it is the closest grocery shop on the island and both times they were middle-aged gentleman who were extremely rude bagging the groceries. One today throwing my eggs in the cart and cracking one. Saying nothing and walking off. Passive aggressive people like this make me extremely uncomfortable and I don’t know what to say in person so i just walked out. Please dont shop here.

Overpriced grocery store. I live on Coronado and every time i come to this store i am blown away by the insane prices for every day items. The checkout total is always astronomical relative to what i buy, and i always feel i am being taken advantage of and overcharged for the privilege of shopping on island. Go to smart n final if you can.

Its a smaller Vons than what Im used to but its well stocked in all departments. The store is clean and well managed. It doesnt have a public restroom, which is the only negative thing. The store has a small town feel, which I found to be very appealing.

I live in Imperial Beach but the store there is dirty and unorganized. They are not customer oriented so after 23 years of shopping there I recently started shopping Vons Coronado. The store is small but very clean. The staff are customer oriented. Much better experience then shopping in the store (Saturn) closest to Imperial Beach

Decent selection of grass fed beef and organic foods

Great group of people, that work there. Really busy the day I went in but that was because of the holiday. They had a decent selection of items, but not a large brand selection. Its not a problem for me, but for brand loyalists, it is something to consider.

Did some quick shopping for 4th of July and coffee. Customer service was excellent. Although there was a line at each register check out went quick. Cashier was very engaging with each customer.

Large grocery store carrying all major name brand products, prices vary week to week so consult the Vons website or weekly advertisement. Store is well stocked.
