Nice clean well stocked store with great varieties and buys Friendly associates !

Up and down with these guys. I like to shop clearance, and there were 3 of the same item, no price tag, I grabbed 1, explained there were no prices avail. Cashier went and looked, then paged someone else to do the same. I couldnt get the small item til they could get a price, so I left w/out. Why couldnt the manager come up with a price for me. It wasnt worth more than $2

Big Lots has stepped their game up. Nice new items. The Manager working during my last visit was helpful. He actually seemed to care about the customer unlike the previous woman whom was the Manager, she says.

I went there to buy two separate beds. And the employee helping me acted like it was an inconvenience for him. When Im spending $1,000, or close to I expect to be treated like a valued customer

I seem to forget how great this place is. Legit everything in there. Furniture, food, clothing and everything else! Its pretty much like an Aldi but for everything else. I have purchased things from there that are exactly what i needed, and for a price that doesnt break the wallet. Granted it might be discounted items, but the quality and quantity are really good.

Was looking to purchase a extra large chair. They were out of stock so my husband asked to speak with the manager and she was the nastiest person we have ever met and will no longer shop at Big lots

We called to hold a sofa the day before we went up to get it, they told us they put our name down for it. When we drove 45 minutes to get it, they never put our name down for it and had no more available.

Found an office chair to use while working from home during the covid shutdown. Needed it quickly and chair is very comfortable and not super expensive.

Advertise but does not support the ads. Advertised products not in stock. Does have a fair amount of food that can be interesting. Sales staff not educated in products or sales.

I usually love Big Lots and have always gotten great deals on closeouts there but now theyre becoming too mainstream and pulling typical marketing gimmics like slowly raising prices, not placing price stickers on items or shelving. Theyve also cut way back on Covid safety practices

The customer service here is top notch! Our family came in to get one item. We all came in together, my toddler, infant, husband and I. We didnt bring a carrier or the car seat because we were just getting one thing. We of course ended up seeing others we could not pass up and a customer service representative saw us with our hands full and offered to get us a cart. Then he asked if we needed help finding anything else, gave us his name and said if we think I anything else to let him know. He asked how old our son was since he was so small. It was really heart warming to feel welcome and supported when buying home items. We will come again for our next purchases. Thank you, Big Lots! You made us feel like valued customers.

Whilst I have no issue with the purchases Ive made over the years at Big Lots in Cortland, todays visit was unsettling.Three of the five employees we encountered in the store - all male, and one the manager- were not wearing masks. To clarify the manager had one on, but it was only over his mouth... the other two had they wrapped under their chin!The lack of leadership shows...

As soon as I walked in the door, a young lady was more than kind and immediately greeted me and asked if she could help direct me to anything. More than pleasant, the prices are always very good here. Even the man cleaning the floors with a machine was very cautious not to disturb you while looking at products. Even checking out the cashier was still extremely positive and well knowledgeable in all aspects here. My only issue was that she was unable to receive a cash tip for her excellent service, which I understand. I was very happy with my experience here and wont be the last thats for sure.

Not a great store but surprisingly has more than you would expect. Unfortunately they were out of stock on the table we wanted. Maybe next time.

Their prices have steadily climbed in the past 2 years. Always a wait to check out.

The best big lots I have been to. The store is clean, uncluttered, and full of interesting things. Also the employees were authenticly friendly.

Ive been having issues finding a decent place to rent furniture and I heard that Big Lots has rent to own options. So I hopped on my bike and went to check it out. I got to the store and asked for information about this rent to own option and the cashier called the manager down. His name was Dallas (hard to forget because thats also my brothers name lol) and he was really nice and super professional! He walked with me to the back of the store and got me set up to fill out the rental application online. He was very helpful and asked me if I had any questions. I said no and that I was all set. So I started filling out the application and he stold me he would be back to check o me in a few minutes. The application process was pretty easy and I got approved instantly! So I took a picture of the approval incase the computer went wonky because thats my luck with computers lol. And just as I finished the application, the manager came back to check on me. I told him that I got approved but I dont get paid til Friday. He said thats fine, just show the cashier the proof of approval (it has a special alphanumeric code) when Im ready to start renting. Dallas was very professional with me and very knowledgeable. Big lots knew what they were doing when they made this man a manager!

A lot of things in a block of dimensions in your life at a very good price typical of this style of store so give it a shot if theres something you really need and youre not finding there anywhere else!

Nice clean store and well priced merchandise

This store sells a junk Chinese propane fire pit, it breaks within 2 months and 3 uses. They wont do anything but have us call the manufacturer who after 4 months still said that the parts see not available and to call Big Lots because they should replace the whole unit. Big Lots then is very rude and basically tells us to go jump off a cliff, that its not their problem.No one should ever buy anything from this store.

A good alternative to the supercenters. Nice, inexpensive furniture, too.

Tend to forget about it. When you do remember Big Lots exists, they have great finds for great prices. My dad purchased a living room furniture set here and the quality is upstanding.
