The Ulta employees were so helpful. They were knowledgeable about their products and made thoughtful recommendations for my skincare needs.

Merritt was an amazing help to me. She did not stop until she found exactly what I was looking for ( which i had no idea what the facial cleanser was even called) but she found it in less than 10 minutes and made me feel comfortable as she searched. The other ladies in there were an amazing help as well and Im so glad that I went in there, this is the best customer service experience I have had in way too long. Definitely telling everyone to go into the Corvallis Ulta! Thank you ladies so much!!! ❤❤

Leading me to the brand of foundation I was seeking, I was overwhelmed with the color choices. Offering her assistance she took a couple of minutes to make her suggestion. Her confidence allowed me to ask additional questions for other products that I purchased based on her advice. The foundation..PERFECT Match. I will be returning.

I went into the corvallis location on 9th st I was helped by a gal named Jordan, I just want to say how amazing she was. She helped me find the products I was looking for and didnt give up to find something similarly until we found it. This girl deserves a raise she was so helpful especially for a first time ulta shopper

I feel the staff were having an off day because after 20 minutes of walking around the same 5 rows I had to ask someone for help. Usually theres always someone asking you for help every 5 minutes. There were 5 customers and 8 employees 🤷‍♀️ there was a couple of times I was asking my friend questions about a product location right in front of an employee and they didnt bother to even look up and make eye contact with me. it seemed like they just didnt want to be bothered. The 20 minutes I was there I spent $80 and Its too bad for them because I think I would have spent more money if I was engaged a little.

My go to place to girl out with my friends. They have a salon, a brow bar and so much more. Nationwide and online. They are outstanding.

Good variety, a bit congested store. The staff can be pushy sometimes, which makes me uncomfortable to shop at this specific location.

When I went back in to speak with the rep I was previously talking to while I was talking to them a manager sent them to the back.

Lyvia did my eyebrows today and she is the best!! My eyebrows are looking soooo good, she did them very fast, painless and I had a great time while she was working on them! She’s very nice and personable! 10000/10 experience! If you need your eyebrows done both the girls that work here are great! I’ve had Meritt do my eyebrows in the past and she is exceptional as well! Both eyebrow specialists are AMAZING!!! Again, I cannot stress how awesome these gals are! Thank you Lyvia and Merrit!!!!

I go to Ulta Beauty quite often. Because of that I have quite of points built up. It is through my moms account, email, number etc, which makes it convenient. Never in the last few years have I needed my mother’s ID or her to be there to redeem my points or to use a coupon. I was refused the ability to use points, even if I had my mom call the store or send me pictures of her ID. Yes, I NOW understand that it apparently is store policy to need the account “owner” to use points..? However, this was not relayed to me before hand. What made it even worse was the rudeness coming from the employees. I work customer service and I couldn’t imagine treating a customer like that. Makes me not want to come back.

One of my favorite places for skin and hair care. Anytime ive had something go wrong with my hair or skin they have given me excellent recommendations. Store is kept up nicely and everything is easy to find.

COMPLICATED Salon Review- Please read!I have always had a great experience at Ulta until recently. I liked their brow bar services and wanted to get a balayage done at their salon for my upcoming birthday/wedding/graduation. I scheduled an appointment with Ulta salon staff, and they were incredibly professional; they took a sample of my hair to test bleach, assured they could do a balayage per my reference pictures, and everything was set to go.I left my appointment the next day completely devastated. I was given tiger stripes all the way up to the root; NOT a balayage. My curls were shot. I resolved a day later to call for a refund on the color. However, as my (white) stripes started to fall out at the root in clumps; I decided I wanted a full cut and color refund. I payed $210 for this; I likely will need more to fix it.Ulta held up on their end...although the manager did remark that the hair damage was my fault because Ive dyed it myself in the past with salon grade dye (I thought that comment was very inappropriate considering they DID test bleach it, but I didnt say anything), I still got a full refund. So for Ultas great return policy, I give them 5 stars. Truly, their iron-clad return policy is what secures their customer loyalty.So dont go here for hair stuff... At least for bleach treatments. Probably a haircut or dark color is fine. The staff is kind overall, and the return policy is spotless.EDIT: I had to give this 1 star because I heard another story from a girl who went here a week before me and asked for pink/blue hair and left with orange hair. I think there is a clear verdict that coloring should not be done here.

This place is my favorite store! They are very welcoming, helpful, and the atmosphere is amazing. They carry high end and low end makeup, hair products, skincare products, shower products, teeth products, bath products, and much more. They also, have a neat clearance section and a salon. The salon offers manicures, pedicures, facial treatments, brow waxing/ tinting, and hair experiences for a good price. Everyone there is always there to help and the store is organized so its easy to find every thing. Wonderful customer service.

Had an amazing experience in the salon here. Walked in without an appointment expecting to be scheduled later. Was able to get in within 5 minutes of walking through the door for a haircut. While sitting in the chair Marty asked me if I just wanted a cut or color and cut. I gave her an idea of what I wanted, she ran with it sending me home with the exact cut and color I wanted with just a small amount of information that I gave her. And to top it all off it was $30 cheaper then what she quoted me... thank you Marty

One word, balayage! They have a super sweet and adorable hair colorist named Daryn. They only charge $120 to do your whole head, I was very happy with the detail and quality of work for this great price. I highly recommend Darin because she is so kind and will do just what you want and make you feel at ease and comfortable while making a potentially dramatic change to your hair.

I love this place! There are so many makeup brands here and at reasonable prices as well. The staff is all very kind and helpful, however as many makeup brands as they do have, they dont have as many as I would like... Like one of my favorite Brands is colour-pop and they dont have that there. But other than that its an amazing store and I love going whenever I can!

Came here looking for makeup for a ballroom dance competition. The woman who helped me so much and was really sweet and enthusiastic. This Ulta is a smaller store than others so they didnt have the eyelash brand that I was looking for, but there were other brands that would work the same. Also had a little trouble finding stick on nails, but it wasnt too big of a deal. Spent about an hour in the store just because I was looking at a lot of products and I just love ulta!!

Have visited here many times for assorted items, everything from simple soaps and fash washes to hair products and make up related items. The place is clean and organized by brand, so if you are looking for a new product and dont care about brand, you have to walk back and forth from section to section to look at different brands of the same item, which is a little inconvenient but I understand its done to encourage brand loyalty.The staff here are extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and understanding of financial restrictions while still helping you find what will work best for you. It can be a little confusing finding someone who works there though, since they dont have uniforms that stand out in any way, but thats very minor.Overall, very clean, organized, and knowledgeable/helpful staff.

People there are super helpful. The makeup quality and quantity is excellent. You can find everything beauty related there. I like how they carry brands that arent animal tested. Makes me happy when I use those products on my face knowing they werent animal tested.

I went in the other day, and an employee (I never caught her name), worked with me for an hour! I needed multiple products and she helped me find the best one for me, I have really oily skin and red patches that are hard to cover and I am getting married so I want the best look possible, and she worked with me on everything and she got me products I would have never found on my own! These products worked fabulously and I was quite sad I had never used them before! She took the time to explain everything to me and find the absolute best fit, I had 3 or 4 different foundations on at once! That was probably the best service I had ever had from someone at ulta and she was seriously a lifesaver!

I had a good experience and Crystal was very kind and helpful. When telling her that I was on a budget and wasnt looking to spend a fortune on an eyebrow product or powder she was understanding and showed me cheaper options and didnt push the most popular or expensive products onto me. I do agree with some other people that it can be hard to find someone to help you but I have found that if I ask someone for help they are always happy to take the time to walk around the store with me and test different products.

Usually have had decent service at other Ulta locations. Gal that asked me if I needed help didnt seem too thrilled when I asked her a question and seemed a little snotty with her assistance. I was in and out quickly instead of browsing as I usually would.

Used to be a 5 but my favorite hair stylist (Freddie) left and I always get bad makeup recommendations. It seems like when it comes to makeup, theyll recommend $200 worth of random items when really I just want some foundation or liner or something.

Smaller store, so they do not carry everything. Staff is friendly. Courtney and Merit are great at the BrowBar. If there is a big sale, or you have a free sample/item coupon (Platinum Members) you have to get there pretty early to redeem the sale or coupon. The staff mentioned that every Oregon Ulta gets the same number of free items to give away, and its not as impressive of a number as youd hope. College kids tend to deplete the inventory of sale items fast.

Always a find here, and always lots of smiles, good service.

I received a gift card from a family member to shop here and when I tried the checkout the cashier was extremely pushy with me about getting my personal information. I had to tell her several times that I did not want to sign up for whatever club membership they have and she looked visibly upset. Sorry I dont care if I get a couple dollars off my next visit because Im never going back there again!

Sephora is better. Ulta has the products I want, but go so far to trick you into thinking you have points and rewards that you have to jump through hoops to get. The customer service isnt great.

Been in there many times for services by Chelsea (by far the best hairdresser Ive had) and for products and the service there is absolutely outstanding, last time I was in I believe it was Sara*? That helped me but she was extremely knowledgeable about all the products I was looking for and made sure I found something even better in the same price range! Definitely recommend them over Sephora or elsewhere!

Staff member was incredibly rude and short tempered with me. I wasn’t understanding her description of the product and I felt very belittled by her responses. It was almost as if because I wasn’t dressed to the 9 she felt I knew nothing at all about makeup or my appearance. I believe her name was Sarah or.. something with an S. She had purple and pink and blue hair. Nonetheless I do not think she is someone who should be interacting with customers.

The staff are nice but there is no ADA entrance, which restricts access to people with limited mobility. The other stores in this strip mall have automatic doors but unfortunately this one does not

Love the selection but I can never get anyone to help me. Have to hunt someone down. Employees are usually clumped together talking not helping customers. Had one employee ask me if I was still doing OK, never said I was to being with. Poor customer service in the location.

Ulta will NOT allow you to return products if you do not join their loyalty program. Even with a receipt you will be required to join. Forcing consumers to give up extraneous personal information or declare loyalty to purchase or return products is wrong.Over the years, I have spent an embarrassing amount of money on higher-end brand products at Ulta. My decision to shop here came down to two key factors: convenience (I can try/buy in person the same day) and trust (I know the products are not counterfeit). However, increasingly I have found myself dreading the check-out process, especially at this location. The pressure to provide a personal phone number and join the brand loyalty program is relentless and unreasonable. Most stores accept my polite decline, but not Ulta. Its not just about points, its also about your ability to return products. Ive had to confirm that I can still return a defective product if I do not join the loyalty program. (I am usually a pretty accommodating person, and it is supremely weird to find myself raising my voice in a check-out line over this.) Tonight I learned that you cannot *complete* a return unless you join the loyalty program. I did not have a return, but I was about to purchase an expensive item and we asked for more clarification. Im not sure if this policy has evolved, or if it has been there for a long time. It is a bad policy.We can get all of these products elsewhere. I will not shop at Ulta online or in person while this policy continues to exist.

Be wary when you shop here or at ANY Ulta, because the employees are trained to promote certain store brands above others regardless of overall quality. These brands include but are not limited to (#1) REDKEN-- Ulta is a “Redken” salon and they will try to recommend this brand first, over any others, because they make more money in sales, regardless of quality or customer preference. (#2) DERMALOGICA -- This is a very expensive skin-care brand that is an Ulta exclusive, and they will always promote this brand over any other skin care brand. I have witnessed employees sell people suffering with eczema and other very severe, medical skin conditions Dermalogica products, for the sake of sales, even though the products sold will have no effect on the skin condition mentioned. It’s completely inappropriate. (#3) BENEFIT -- If you have any interest in eyebrow products or maintenance, this is the first brand they will recommend to you, because they want you interested in their Benefit brow bar services. None of these products are particularly bad, in fact many of them are quite good, but what you need to know is that selling these items is more important to them than your individual needs as a customer, and there are many cheaper alternatives that are just as good if not better. They literally train and discuss this with their employees, to the point that if a worker does not recommend a “store brand” over another, more appropriate brand, they may be reprimanded.Also, you need to DOUBLE CHECK every single item that you purchase and make sure it wasn’t used, returned by someone, and then put back on the floor. It’s illegal and against store policy to “clean up” items and put them back on the shelf for sale, but they will do this anyway to falsify the store loss report, so always check for product seals being broken or missing when you purchase something. If you get an infection from this store illegally selling “used” products back to you, they are liable and you may press charges.Also, they will lie to you about their return policy to keep their loss prevention numbers looking good. Most people don’t know better and won’t argue. If you get pushback, always call Ulta customer service INSIDE THE STORE and let them handle the employees that are refusing your refunds.I heard all of this directly from an employee there.Hope this helps. I couldnt walk 5 feet without a new cs person asking me if i needed help....I ended up going out without purchasing as they offer the help but are not knowledgable in skin care for more than the younger crowd. Too bad really....we middle age spend alot on our products ...maybe ulta should hire a few more knowledgable mature women to service customers looking for anti aging products! On a positive note the store carries a tremendous amount of products and you are able to try the testers....so you are not buying blindly.

Went shopping for a few things, it was busy but okay until the end. At checkout was given a used bag from a customer, maybe a return or something. It was all wrinkled which is fine, but it looked used already and on the inside there was multiple hair strands and ripped up pieces of paper! It was so disgusting!!! How can a store reuse bags without even looking inside that is just wrong!

Love being by an ULTA and having such a large selection of products right next door! The only issues I’ve had so far is that either you get no help from the staff and you are left to aimlessly wonder around. Or you get help but it doesn’t seem they’re very knowledgeable. I’ve gone to a Macy’s before and had someone match my make up and help me find the right product. Here I said I wanted full coverage was shown one urban decay foundation (which I don’t even like) and then that was the end of their help. I would recommend this ULTA to people who already know what they’re after, other wise go to a store that will help put product on you to decide. Also had an got my brows done here (I’m really picky and moved to Corvallis and was referred) they looked horrible. Avoid waxing your eyebrows here.

Friendly staff and when we needed help, they were helpful and patient with us. I wish all Ultas carried MAC, but Im hoping that is something they get in the future.

I went to ULTA yesterday to buy new makeup prior to a photoshoot. I was extremely disappointed and wish that I drove to Sephora instead. A friend recommended ULTA to me, perhaps the ULTA near her house is better. The girls working there were practically useless and straight up rude. I asked the girl for help selecting foundation and concealer, she quickly caked on the closest foundation she could find. She gave me no useful advice, did not really answer my questions, and she was rude and in a hurry the entire time. She then had an appointment, it sounded to me like a friend going over for a free makeover. I heard them giggling and laughing while I took my time to remove the foundation she so sloppily put on my face and look for the items I went there to look for. I found the items, but at expensive cost. Most of the items I wanted to try were empty or near empty and the girl had refused to open a new tester (I was looking for BB line). Do not waste your time or money there, unless you are in Albany and in the area. Ive had better luck asking questions at Walgreens when I went there following after. Oh, I did end up buying a makeup box there (for $18 box said it was a good deal) and the portions were dry and tiny. Be careful about the things that say sale, I dont even know if I can return them.
