My parents referred us to Custom Eyes Optometry and I am so happy I listened to them. Both doctors are professional, kind, and personable. The staff is very nice, helpful and make you feel special. It is so hard to find excellent doctors these days and I am so happy to have found them.

It was easy to make my first appointment. The front staff were very friendly & the office is so clean. I love Dr. Yoo’s energy, too! She was very helpful & I found the perfect contacts for me that don’t hurt my eyes. I had a great experience & am glad to have found an optometrist I want to keep returning to.

My prior optometrist retired. So, it was time to find a new one. I have now seen Dr Bourgoin twice and I very much enjoy our conversations. He is well versed in optometry. I was fitted with new contacts and glasses. My second visit was for floaters that turned out to be nothing. Their business operation is smooth. I dont wait long for getting into the chair. They seem to keep appointments spaced far enough apart to avoid long waits. Overall, happy.

I have a genetic joint condition and have been to several optometrists up and down Orange County and it’s been a challenge getting heard for very specific issues I’m having with me eyes. Going to the optometrist used to always be terribly expensive and exhausting and would not even have the right prescription afterward. Immediately walking in there I felt welcome. The office was clean and the staff are incredibly nice. I had several contact fittings and Dr. Yoo listened to every issue I was having with my eyes. They made sure I could see exactly how I should before ordering the right contacts. They really made sure I was comfortable and able to see. They also found issues with my eyes I knew were there but no one ever fully took the time to look for until now. They are an amazing team and I highly recommend it. I wish I could rate them higher because dealing with this chronic illness no one can see can be VERY frustrating and for them to take the time and really work with me made the world of difference. Having never visited an eye doctor, my visit was very nice. The doctor was kind and attentiveMy 2 stars is because I did not get what I requestedas to the type and style of glasses I required.I felt like I was Sold something I didn’t want.I said something right away and was told “ don’t worry you will get used to it”When I called, I was told “we will get back to you”Nobody ever did.I feel like I wasted $300 when I could have had better results with a $5 pair of readers off the rack

Ive been seeing Dr. Bourgoin for close to 10 years. Ive had nothing but great experiences with his practice. The staff are all incredibly friendly. Its easy to book, waits are short, the service is stellar. Its rare these days to find medical professionals who take the time to get to know their patients as people and remember them from visit to visit, yet Dr. Bourgoin does remember and asks me about work and my hobbies even though I only see him once or twice a year. 3 years ago he guided me through the Lasik process and I couldnt be happier with the guidance and communication I received from him every step of the way.

I highly recommended these doctors. I have an unusually high prescription and for years I struggled with other doctors. They got it right and I can finally see well both close up and far away.

Dr Bourgoin was so good with my 3 year old son. He was very thorough and explained to me everything he was checking for. Meanwhile my son ended up enjoying his first eye examination. I recently went to Michael Bourgoin, OD after several years of not seeing an eye doctor. I wasnt a fan of my previous one, but Bourgoin was great. He and the staff were very friendly and helpful. He took the time to chat with me and ask me questions about myself, which was a nice, personal touch. I was recommended to him by a co-worker and now I would not hesitate to recommend him to others!

Poor experience. After the visit I was so excited to get my glasses with the new prescription. I thought it was odd that when I wore them my vision wasnt much better. I later realized that was because one eye was still blurry. I should have gone back as soon as I realized that, but I just thought my vision was getting worse with all the reading I was having to do and/or they wouldnt do anything that wouldnt be costly to fix it. I waited a year for a new visit at a different optometrist so that my insurance would cover the visit and found out the prescription I had gotten from Custom Eyes was completely wrong for me. One of my eyes is near sighted and the other is farsighted but both lenses were the same so Id been wearing 50% wrong lenses for a year. It may be because the optometrist was talking/distracted throughout the visit. As a student, it wasnt financially possible to have a 2nd visit and another pair of glasses within a year, so that was unfortunate.

Ive been going here for years. Everyone is very friendly and they keep to their mission. If I ever move to another city, I might have to make a special trip for my annjual eye exams!
