Great team to work with and got the work done so quickly and it was seamless not as dreadful as in the past with other instances.
I took my I iPhone 11 in after my screen had shattered and the top half was unresponsive to touch. I didn’t think that it was going to be able to be fixed. Happily, they were able to fix my screen quickly and give me advice on a great new screen protector and super durable iPhone case that is not just durable but also attractive. I couldn’t be more pleased with their work, but it was fast as well. I won’t go anywhere else for service after this, and no one else should go anywhere else either. If I could give them 10 stars, I would!
Even with appointments this store is always running behind schedule at least 20 minutes. I understand the staffing issues but then you should spread out appointments for more time to service customers. I wouldn’t complain but this is not the first second or third time this is happened at the store
These guys are terrible. Dont waste your time, go to the apple store.Ive never had a good experience here. A few years ago the screen went out on my macbook pro. I took it to them to figure out what was going on and they said they could fix it for $900. As it wasnt even worth that, I took my chances and opened it up. Somehow a wire was loose. I popped in back in the computer has been working perfect ever since. I am so glad I didnt let them take $900 for something I was able to do in 10 minutes. Now, I chose to use them for an apple care service and its been a joke. I work longer hours than they are open so I wont be able to pick up my replacement phone till the weekend. But they now say that they can not hold on to it so they are going to send it back and I will have to go to the apple store anyway.
Rob was so helpful in replacing my water-damaged Mac! He answered all my questions with knowledge & understanding, helping me find a computer that met my needs. I’ll work with him again!
It was so easy to make an appointment online- great customer service and they were very knowledgeable. Came in with a cracked iPhone screen and they were able to repair it in less than two hours! Worth every penny.
Went in to replace my iPhone battery. Appointment scheduling was easy, only one other customer in the store, and the staff were very helpful. Thanks for the great service!
The guys at Simply Mac in Sandy/Cottonwood Heights are great! I dont consider myself tech savvy; however, I know enough to know when I am getting what I need from tech professionals, and I can tell you that these guys are there to help and reassure you that things are going to be okay when you are having issues with your Mac. I will definitely be returning soon with my other MacBook to have them work on it.
Dreading getting a problem fixed on a mac (I dont usually do macs) But my sisters was having a charging problem. So after stopping at a couple of places that said they fix apple stuff where it turns out a Mac-Pro is out of their league they both suggested Simply Mac. After a short wait while they helped another couple of customers they got right to me. I explained the problem and the tech looked at it saw a tiny piece of wire or metal across the charging point pulled it out and fixed it. No new battery needed. I picked up a new charger for my sisters computer and was out the door. I would say its a good day when I dont complain about customer service lately... Simply Mac in Foothill Village gave me no reason to complain and made my day brighter. Thanks!
These guys were great, and I was able to get in much quicker than the Apple store. They also got in to check whether I was covered under Apple Care because I didnt think I was still. Surprise, my batter replacement was free. Cant recommend enough.
I brought my 2017 Mac book pro in for testing as the laptop said service required with a red battery that would not hold a charge.. Simply Mac discovered the battery was hardly used but said Apple would not cover it and wanted to charge me over 300.00.. I called Apple and they showed me the Apple website where the battery was only $120.00. They suggested I take it into an apple Store.. I DID and they replaced my battery for free.. Be very carful with Simply Mac !!
My MacBook Air started shutting down at 60% battery . followed instructions from apple went to the store, greated by the door guard ! they said I would have to come back 24 to 36 hours later to talk to someone . I thought not.walk into Simply Mac talked to sales person one hour later my MacBook Air was being worked on and completed and picked up 5 hours later repaired and ready to go .*************** Great service and Fast.I could not be more impressed with the service I got!
Do you yourself a favor and go to the Apple store. SimplyMac is NOT good! The staff was cold, service was very slow, I had to go to multiple locations to get my phone fixed. While we ultimately encountered a friendly staff person, he was unhelpful, and incompetent. There is no excuse for bad manners, poor service, and lack of communication. On the positive side, the repair was ultimately done correctly, and my phone is now working, but I would not put myself through this ordeal again.
WOW!!!! I have never had a better experience during a technology purchase. Michelle is amazing! I really needed to upgrade my work laptop, I called her and told her exactly what I needed a new laptop to do. She was very knowledgeable about the different products and knew how to explain the benefits to me. She was able to exceed my expectations on how fast she was able switch all my old data onto my new Macbook Pro. I highly recommend this store!
Excellent experience. First time in an Apple dealer store. Very friendly, understanding and efficient
You would be hard pressed to get your computer back sooner or better going to the Apple store for a repair. They repaired my laptop as fast as of it went to Apple, and the repair was just as good. They are authorized, so the repair will be guaranteed the same. Same price, too. You just wont have to wait nearly as long as at the Apple store where its always crowded. Theyll get my business again if I need a repair (hopefully never again, though).
Awesome service, checked my computers quickly, helped fix the issues fast and had me back to work in a couple of hours. Knowledgeable & Friendly staff, convenient location.
I came in for a scheduled appointment so they could look at my sisters iphone X that suffered water damage. Justin assisted me and he took his time explaining how the process worked. I wasnt pleased with the fact that Id have to pay $550 to get a certified refurbished phone to replace the damaged one, but the people at simply mac had nothing to do with that. They were following company protocol and I was treated with upmost respect. They have a variety of items for sale and they offer a variety of services. I personally own a galaxy s9+ and Ill never own another apple device (I had the original iphone) because the company isnt what it used to be.Id like to address some of the negative reviews because I feel like most people dont understand how a franchise works:1) If someone else walked into the store after you did and they were helped first, instead of claiming profiling or something similar, maybe consider that the other person had an appointment or they were regular customers in that store. Car dealerships do the same thing. I walked in looking like a homeless person and they still were very courteous to me though.2) If it takes you a while to get help, maybe consider making an appointment or avoid going in during rush hours. I didnt have to wait for assistance but Justin had to leave for a few minutes to assist other customers.Dont get me wrong, I completely dislike apple because of their greed but my family still uses their devices. Dont take your hate against simply mac because theyre just following company orders.
Excellent customer service, friendly staff, great product support & repair, and reasonable pricing. I would go back again for any servicing needs on my Apple products!
They quickly, accurately, and timely replaced the battery in my iPhone. The technician was extremely friendly and helpful in explaining my repair options.
Don’t waste your time. There’s plenty of better places.Complete waste of time. I walked in with a broken MacBook knowing it was one of two things, they said they could diagnose it, charged me to diagnose it, and then told me it was one of two things I came in knowing.
I’ve been directed to Simply Mac twice as the fasted place to get a repair done (one on a phone and one for a laptop). Both repairs were unable to be completed in house and required mailing out and an estimated 3 week turnaround around. In both cases, I went to the Apple Store instead and had my problem solved within a few days. While I have never experienced poor customer service here or technically received a service (only a quote) my experiences lead me to believe it is easier, faster, and similarly priced to just go to the Apple Store.
Literally the worst place anyone can take there phone to get fixed, took it in for them to check up on it to see if there was any liquid damages the phone was working and in perfect condition, but I wanted to go to apple instead to fix it so when I went back to pick it up one of the works informed me that the flex part of my iPhone was broken and wouldn’t turn on which doesn’t make sense because I turned in my phone in a perfect state. When I told the worker that my phone was not like that he told me he couldn’t do anything instead charge me to fix the screen which is absolutely insane. I would not recommend this place to anyone worse customer service and then progressed to break my phone then charge me to fix it as if they didn’t break it, lucky apple fix my phone without any more problems.
They were able to get me in on short notice and without an appointment. They took care of the warranty service on my AirPods quickly, and had them paired up and charged when I came to pick them up, all at no cost to me. Employees were knowledgeable and friendly. I definitely recommend them as a great alternative to the Apple Store.
The worst service possible!!Zero communication with the customer service reps, even with my attempts to call them for follow up with my order with them. I had to order a new laptop- just time for an upgrade with my current one. It has taken a month to even get a step closer for the new laptop to come in or even get a call regarding the status of the product. It wasnt until I contacted them 2-3 times within 2-3 weeks to get my order in motion because they had to listen and do their job. Im still waiting to even get the new laptop I ordered- no communication still.I paid up front for everything expecting the highest standard of customer service, and feel lied too and stolen from. Do not come here for help!! Go somewhere else. My time has been wasted. Do not waste yours, if you are looking to come here. They lack communication, and any good customer service skills, and take consumers money like scammers.Definitely go somewhere else for your mac needs!
They were very prompt and helpful and found a way to help me even when i accidentally went to the wrong location. Explained everything very clearly and got me what I needed quickly.
Customer service was great. The problem lies strictly with management. If you are WEEKS behind on even looking at my Mac then you should probably stop scheduling appointments. I don’t spend $3k on a computer to have to wait potentially a month to have it back.
Here’s the situation, I ordered an Apple iPad for my daughter’s Christmas on 11/23 directly from Apple thinking I had PLENTY of time for it to arrive. As the Christmas drew closer I started to get nervous that it hadn’t shipped yet. I started calling and chatting with the team at Apple and was assured that it would arrive by 12/23 as promised. Well today is 12/23 and to my surprise, not really surprised, the order status was updated to 1/6. Since this was the big gift I was giving her I was more than livid. Apple support was useless and brought no resolution. All the big names were sold out, Target, Wal-Mart, Costco, Best Buy, but i did have the option to be extorted from the Facebook Marketplace by paying 200% mark up.Fast forward to 10:00AM on the 23rd when I called Simply Mac just as they opened, they had 3! Michelle was super kind and understanding, putting one on hold for me for 2 hours until I could get there. I drove straight down and Michelle, true to her word, had one waiting for me. I told her that she had saved Christmas and didn’t know how awesome she was. She said if I wanted to show her how awesome she was I would buy the warranty. I don’t care if the warranty only covers damage done by a chewing gum wrapper, because of her awesome service I was buying any up sell she had. I couldn’t be more grateful for the care and service that was offered by Simply Mac and they will for ever be in my good graces. Christmas has been saved!
They refuse to let you make a purchase without a phone number to track you with. Are you kidding me? I don’t need or want your warranty on an accessory. I’ll just walk over to target and buy a cable and still be out faster than you his place.
Very nice store. Clean and organized well. The associate was very knowledgeable and helped me find a charger for my iPhone.I was notified through an email about a sale at this location. I got 2 chargers at 60% off each one. When I was there the store wasn’t busy and I was in and out of there in no time
I brought my MacBook Pro here two weeks ago to get my battery replaced. I kept the laptop so that I could use it until the new battery (which comes with half the case and costs $$$ to replace) arrived. Today, 2 weeks later, I get a call that a) somehow my repair order got misplaced, so the part never got ordered, so it will take another 2 weeks or so, and b) they forgot to do a diagnostic test on it as required when I first brought it in. The tech was nice enough to do the testing remotely with me, but Ive lost confidence that theyll do the repair properly.
Andrew Weens (the manager) was not only rude to me but also employees at the store that were trying to assist me. I ended up going to FixIT where they assisted me without issue. We will not be going to Simply Mac again.
I brought my MacBook Pro here on Wednesday 10/21 because I had spilled Diet Coke on it. This location could get me in quicker than the Apple Store, so I decided to come here for a repair/replacement with my AppleCare. I was told it would be 5-7 business days until I had my computer back. Fair enough, especially with shipping. I called on Monday 10/26 for an update on my computer and I was told by Chris that it had been shipped out and a note talking about delays from Apple was on my account and that I should be updated again on Tuesday 10/27. I was understanding because I know COVID has slowed down a lot of operations from repairs to shipping, so that was fine. I did not get an update after I called on Monday. I called again today, Friday 10/30, to ask about an update since it had been about 7 business days and my computer might have been done already. While waiting for them to answer, I was reading recent Google reviews of people who had dropped off their devices to be shipped out and their devices were still sitting on the shelf weeks later. I remember thinking “I hope this isn’t the case for me”. They are almost impossible to get a hold of and I spent over an hour on hold with them to talk to them twice. Somebody finally answered the phone and told me that my computer had not even been shipped out. This was unacceptable, as it had been sitting on the shelf almost two weeks and I have been without a computer this whole time. I understand that things happen, but I was lied to from the very start by the employees. If I didn’t call, when would my computer have been shipped out? Obviously, this isn’t a one time incident and happens pretty frequently at this business as you can see from other Google reviews. There is no accountability for these mistakes and that is why they are allowed to happen repeatedly, while customers are the ones hurt by their inaction. It might be a longer wait to get an appointment with Apple, but it’s well worth it in terms of customer service, follow through, and repair times.
This is outrageous!I went to the store to pick up a phone. There was 2 technician and one customer. I was the second one. Then a third customer came in and was helped first. I waited for 15 minutes, no one asked me if i need help with anything then another white dude walked in and was helped. Then the technician asked me to go outside and wait since they have the new policy of maximum 3 customers. I was the second one in the store, got ignored 2 times and was asked to go back outside! What kind of service is this?
After a really, really tragic accident with my brand new MacBook Pro, the folks at Simply Mac took great care of me, and helped me get the repair covered under an existing Apple Warranty for a great price (not always possible with repairs, but I appreciate that they took the time to explore that option since it did qualify in my case!!). Really appreciate their knowledge, their service, and the time they took to call me with updates and explain the repair process. They saved my sanity, truly! Thank you!
Made an appointment a week earlier where the diagnostic had been performed. Came in for my appointment and the nice man at the counter started checking me in. The service guy came out and very rudely and without any care for customer service told me in a loud and short manner that my repair couldn’t be done today. I explained that I had made the appointment a week earlier and he just repeated his statement and then promptly ignored me. No apology. I suggest you take your apple products elsewhere for service.
I took my Macbook air in for warranty work. All Simply Mac had to do, was mail it to Apple. The turnaround time seemed extreme (14 working days) but they explained Apple was affected by the Covid slowdown. I left my computer and counted the days. 3 weeks later I received a call to ask me about what I would like to do with my computer. I discovered it had just been sitting on the shelf. In frustration, I picked up my computer and contacted Apple to ask if I could directly mail it. YES!! Apple sent the packaging and instructions. From phone call, to completely repaired and returned to my home, it was only 6 days. Why on earth would anyone go to Simply Mac????
This was a terrible experience. I had scheduled an appointment a week earlier and when I arrived at the location there was a line of two people in front of me, so I figured it would move fast and I’d be on time for my appointment. No one even looked up when I walked in let alone ask me what I needed or said they would be with me in a moment. I waited for 30 minutes with no communication from either of the 2 employees. In addition once the man in front of me had finished with his service the employee that was helping him disappeared into the back without a word and never came back. The precautions towards Covid-19 were nonexistent. There were 7 people standing in line in the store, trying our best to keep 6 feet apart because there were no signs or floor decals. Also. the employees were not sanitizing anything in between customers. Anyways, finally when the man who was getting his iPhone serviced was done, I walked up to the desk. The servicer did not even look up. I told him my name and time of the appointment but he just continued what he was doing and walked into the back room. He came back about a minute later and asked me what I needed. I had come to get my watch screen replaced and without any questions or even looking closely at the watch all he said to me was it was too expensive to fix and I should buy a new watch. The rest of the interaction was very rude. The man was extremely short with me and acted like I was only wasting his time even though I had scheduled this appointment a week before. Overall I was extremely dissatisfied with my experience and I will not recommend anyone come to this location. From now on I plan on going directly through Apple because their customer service is 100 times better than this cranky old man’s was. I believe he was also the manager because he was using the computer labeled “Manager.” I don’t know his name because he never introduced himself let alone give me the time of day to help me through my problem. Do not go to this store unless you‘re looking for rude and disrespectful interactions with employees.
I’m amazed and thrilled about the knowledge and service from the people in this store!!Particularly Chris and James who helped me were so kind and knowledgeable. The went above and beyond and we’re so smart that they every time thought one step further in order to make my 9 year old laptop run as new. Kudos to this amazing team!
Appreciated the policies in place for social distancing/masks. Staff helpful, efficient, knowledgeable. Thanks
These guys are top notch! I will definitely go there for any Apple products.
Although it took two visits, my frozen OS problem was fixed and in a very timely matter. The staff was courteous and professional. I do not hesitate to recommend this store.
In this crazy Covid time Simply Mac did a very good job of helping each customer with limited people in the store, asking to wear masks and having folks wait outside if they could while they helped people in the order of appt. It really helps if you make an appt before you head to the store!!! Thanks Simply Mac
If I could give them a negative rating I absolutely would!! This is not the first time we have had problems with this location. I purchased a set of wireless ear buds for my teens bday present. Mind you they are $170.00 (not cheap) so of course I asked about warranty and replacement plan when purchased. The store manager told me that for up to one year or if they’re lost stolen water damage broken etc., that I just have to pay $70 to get them replaced as far as the whole set. I asked server all times if that was all that had to be paid for them to be replaced. Well low and behold my teen lost them. We went back to this store, spoke with the same person who sold them to me, and he them says “oh no they are $70.00 per unit” (per ear bud)!!! That’s $140.00! When you can tGet them new for $170.00! I continue to advise him that that was absolutely not explained to me at the time of purchase and I asked server all times about the “warranty replacement” plan. He then shrugged his shoulders told me he didn’t know what to tell me and death glares at me for a good 30 seconds and saying nothing! Basically told me m out of luck. I asked who his manager was he said he was him. I asked who is above him and he proceeded to chicken scratch an email address on a piece of Post-it paper I couldn’t even read his handwriting. I asked that he rewrite it and advised that for future he may not want to mislead his customers and he may not want to death glare them!! Totally rude, misleading just to get a sale, and 0 customer service to make his mistake right. If you know what’s good for you you will NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!!! I will be contacting his corporate manager with a complaint and the better business bureau. This is not the way you do business or treat your customers!
Spencer was amazing super big help for me!The guys that were in the store did everything they could to help me out.Definitely check out their store
I set up and appointment on 4/30 to have my phone screen repaired on 5/6. I called the store on 5/1 to confirm the appointment, and figure out what their restrictions were due to a Covid, if any. This store is about 45 minutes from my house which is another reason why I called to confirm. When I arrived for my appointment they told me that they don’t have a screen in stock so it has to be ordered and then they’ll do the repair, but that won’t be for another 2 days. Then I get an email while in the store saying my appointment has been cancelled by the provider. It’s now been 4 days since my “appointment” and I still haven’t received a call regarding the repair. There was no apology for wasting my time, no explanation as to why I even made an appointment for there to be no repair, and no explanation as to why they need Find My iPhone off for days without doing a repair. I’ve decided just to turn Find My iPhone back on and take my business elsewhere. Such a waste of time. I would give this place zero stars if I could. It was an awful experience.
I am insanely irritated with Simply Mac right now. I dropped my Macbook Pro off on August 5 because of an issue I am having with my keyboard, and the inability to take it directly to Apple right now because of COVID. I start an internship next Tuesday, and I need my laptop. I told the agent who helped me on August 5 that I need my laptop back by August 25, and he told me it should take no longer than a week. Ive been keeping an eye on any updates on Simply Macs check status page. As of 8/16, there were no updates. You cannot call the number listed for Simply Mac to reach anyone, so I figured I would go in and speak with someone.Upon arriving, the place was jampacked with people who were visibly frustrated who had been waiting a long time. We stood there for about 10-15 minutes waiting to be acknowledged, and it was clear that the man who was helping the woman at the front desk was flustered. Eventually, he came up to us and said hed go check on my laptop. He said that it had been shipped, but that communication with Apple regarding a laptop once it had been sent was hard to do, and that hed give me a call. Its 8/20 and I still have not received that call. His name was Chris.I also have been following diligently my status updates through their website. Coincidentally, on 8/17, 12 days after I initially dropped off the laptop and the day that I went in, my status updates to show that another Simply Mac rep has verified my issue and will be sending the laptop in. So, this leads me to believe that my laptop has been sitting in the back at Simply Mac since 8/5. I am beyond frustrated, and am usually not the type to leave reviews like this. But I am a graduate student, school starts Monday, my internship starts Tuesday, and I am without a laptop 15 days after being told it should take no longer than 5-7 days to be fixed. Pretty outrageous. Also - if anyone happens to actually see this review and the laptop is still sitting in your back room, Id gladly take it back without it being repaired. Im pretty over my experience with yall.
I’ve visited this location a few times with multiple, damaged devices. Every time I’ve been there, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I am always satisfied with the repair or ability to replace my product. I don’t hesitate to send all my friends and family here for help with their Apple devices.
I had an issue with my older iMac and was worried the hard drive was compromised from a virus, but the staff who helped me were awesome and fixed the issue for me. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!
Chris did a great job. He diagnosed (confirmed) the problem and quickly got my repair underway. The phone had to be replaced. He went the extra mile to restore my phone service. Super, super, super!
They will take care of you anyway they can. I purchased a new MacBook Pro for my wife for her birthday I was able to receive it the same day with all the accessories needed thank you simply Mac. And I love my wife’s computer so much I will be back to buy mine
Not sure why my review was previously deleted. But I had the same problem as previous poster who said their laptop was never mailed in. I’m approaching 3 weeks without my laptop, and am crossing my fingers mine is still sitting on the shelf so I can get it back from Simply Mac tomorrow since I need my laptop for my internship. Never have I ever received such poor service from a company.
I am very disappointed with this location. I had to replace my space bar on my mac and I made an appointment. During this time my Mac was taken to the back to run diagnostics or so I thought and I was waiting in the front. They didn’t have the part and had to order it which was understandable. They called another location to see if they had the part. They did not. The man who attended me said he put in the order and it should arrive the following week. Great. A week passed by then two. I was getting frustrated since I use this for work.I called since I hadn’t heard back only to have the Cottonwood location tell me that the part was sent to Foothill and that they would call me back. Okay. I waited for the call back that never came. Since it was after hours I called the store again but accidentally dialed the Foothill location only to find out it was news to them about my part or my Mac. They never received anything or had a call. He put me on hold and called Cottonwood. After a long wait the patient man at Foothill told me that they just ordered the part last night and there was a misunderstanding when it was placed when I arrived but it should be in the following day. I explained how frustrated I was and how it is affecting my work and he apologized but assured me that I would have fixed soon.Later that same day I had a call from the Cottonwood location asking me if I was home and had internet access. I was confused and asked why. They claim that they couldńt do the order for the part since they had to run a diagnostic. I understand got upset because it seems like the were covering for each other on the mistakes being made. When I made it clear that their stories didn’t match up and that both locations lied to me the man just apologized. We ran the diagnostic and he then told me he couldn’t put in the order until the following day since it was too late. Ugh!Okay whatever my Mac was finally going to be fixed within a two days. That´s fine. Cottonwood calls me to tell me my part came in and that I needed to drop off my Mac. I did and I was told that they would call me as soon as it was done. Two days pasted and no call. I called and the technician told me that they ordered my part. I was like what do you mean you ordered my part I was told it was already there. Then he put me on hold and had me wait for a while.. Telling me my Mac was ready for pick up. I told the that I was heading to the store to pick it up. When I go there I was waiting for the only person on the floor to assist everyone as bes as he could. He asked me if I was called to pick up my Mac. I was like no I had to call them. He looked confused. Obviously there is zero communication in the store. he looked up my repair order and then was even more confused. went to the back came back and told me that they couldn’t find my mac. After about a 25 to 30 minute wait they finally found my mac and I left immediately. When ordering a repair please make sure that it was ordered and don’t let them send you home without proof of them ordering it.
Customer service is something the employees at this store have never heard of. I went in to ask about some computer repair. i was told to go to the apple store. I purchased my computer and iPad from this store, but i will not be back. I told the employee that, and received a shoulder shrug in response. I am now shopping elsewhere.
The staff is always helpful. They know their products and how to help the customer out. Speedy service.
Great experience. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Brian was especially great to work with.
The service, the knowledge and the kindness of the staff there was awesome. They gave me ZERO BS and helped me make a good decision. This place rocks, will definitely be going there for all my apple needs from now on
Justin was terrific in assisting me in transitioning to a new Mac Book Pro He was patient and informational. Resurring and supportive. My experience at this Simply Mac has always been wonderfulWay to go team! Keep it UP!
Sage helped me quickly and very efficiently. Great agent, give him a raise!
Chris was incredibly helpful to my wife and I two days before Christmas. We found the adaption cord we needed for the monitor we purchased with no wait time and immediate assistance. Highly recommend for most service issues outside of the Apple Store.
My husband and I came to find a case for my iPhone. The staff was busy so we quietly went to the phone cases. We understood that they were occupied, but there was no greeting nor acknowledgement of our presence. Twenty minutes later, two well dressed older gentleman walked through the door and they were greeted immediately and attended to. I am upset because I was ignored and profiled. We may not looked like we have riches, but the only thing that was poor was their customer service.
In the past I have had problems at Simply Mac; Im a coupon shopper and I get email coupons from the company. Store employees usually dont know about the promotions or coupons and sometimes the coupons just dont work even though there is nothing in the fine print excluding items. In terms of customer service at this Simply Mac, though, I have no complaints. They really do seem to be doing their best to provide a good experience for the customer.
Kind & friendly service.
Last week I brought my mac into the store to get an estimate. I walked in andthere were many sales people standing around together talking!!Very unfriendly, but yet one broke away and asked me if I needed help! I showedhim my mac, I have a crack on my screen. He took my mac to the back to talk to his tech. Within minutes he returned to adviseme it would cost $768.00. I hated not being able to speak to the technician for myquestions and what did that price include! The price was outrageous!I finally decided to go where I should of, the APPLE STORE, where I purchased it. The staff is always so friendly, helpful and go out of their way! And yes, it will cost me $321.00 to repair my mac, and that includes LABOR!!! I LOVE THE APPLE STORE, and I will only do business there going forward!
Simply Mac went above and beyond to make sure my experience here was positive. Dealing with phone issues and having to transfer important info can be very nerve-racking and stressful, but the service manager and his associates worked really hard to make things as convenient for me as possible. You dont always get this kind of customer service anymore these days, so I really appreciated the level of personal care they put into my experience. Definitely would recommend this location!
Great experience, awesome technicians. Way more chill than going to the Apple store - I would highly recommend this route.
They charge $79 to run a diagnostic test, that is free at the Apple store. Really? What a joke.
I brought my unbootable mid 2011 27 imac to Simply Mac in Cottonwood on a Friday expecting to have to buy a replacement. I was the only one in the store at the time, and on the spot, a tech ran diagnostics which showed the hard drive had failed. Replacement parts were available and the cost would be about a fifth of what a new machine would be. Awesome! It was scheduled for repair on Monday. Perfect! Its my business machine and 1 day off from printing invoices and shipping labels wasnt too bad, all things considered. Saturday I dropped off my external drive with the Time Machine backup so they could transfer the data. Excellent! They didnt get to it on Monday. Kinda bummed, but kinda expected it... Still happy with the prospect of Tuesday. Short story long- I got it back on Friday morning due to repairs in front of mine taking longer than expected, techs being sick, etc. I stopped by to speak with Chris, the repair mgr., at some point during the week to basically beg. While there, a number of people came in to drop off repairs, all sporting a helpless look on their face that comes with suddenly being without their computers. I get it- were dependent on our devices and crazed when they break and cant get them fixed yesterday. Just like me and way too many others. Anyway... Chris was personal, polite and professional, aka a straight shooter. My mac would be done by Thursday night barring any unforeseen weirdness. He called me a couple of times Thursday day to ask a question about software or just to let me know that things were progressing. The last call was long after business hours to say it was done and could be picked up in the morning. Bottom line: My mac is flying like it hasnt since I bought it years ago, there were zero restart glitches, and the price was super reasonable. The only reason for 4 stars is because I expected it sooner than it actually happened. Knowing it would be Friday morning rather than Monday evening would have allowed me to plan my week better and avoid a little brain damage, but Im still happy with the way it turned out. Yes, Ill do biz with Simply Mac again.
I phone not holding charge. Diagnostics showed battery fine - phone examined and a visible check of battery for “swelling” Stated that Apple does not allow battery change if diagnostics show no corruption / and visual inspection was negative for swelling.Took it to Batteries Plus - new battery installed and phone works great!Battery that was removed was swollen and crunchy -Apple has policies to force you to purchase new phones - sales reps were pleasant but lied about the condition of the battery!Try Batteries Plus before purchasing a new phone!!!
Great customer service. Got my MacBook up and running in a hurry. Highly recommended.
I love this store. The staff is always very helpful. The hard drive crashed in my MacBook Pro last week and they had it diagnosed and repaired in less than 24 hours. Everything about the repair/diagnosis process was explained upfront along with options for a new hard drive. The new solid state drive is great and performs fantastically.
Very kind and efficient. They fixed my MacBook Pro’s battery and got it back to me within the hour!
Don’t waste your time. The window on the store advertises same day screen replacement. They refused to help me because I didn’t have an appointment even though I was the only customer in the store and there were four employees standing around me.
We had an older iPad that Verizon wasn’t able to help us reactivate. But Simply Mac helped us get it up and running again. Thank you!
I had them replace the battery in my MacBook Air.The price was right. And they turned it around in just 30 minutes.(Happy Dance)
My son had an issue with his MacBook Pro Screen. With the warranty he purchased he was told it was not covered by multiple Apple locations in CA where he attends college. I went back where he purchased the computer Simply Mac Cottonwood Heights and the Store Manager (Travis) went above and beyond to research out the warranty that the other stores would not. He found out it was covered with the products they offered at the time we purchased the computer and warranty. What great service!
Came in to the store and got assistance for my lap top. Thanks so much! Everything is okay.
Very sad I wasnt told up front of an IOS charge (of $30.00) that I would incur to reset my iPad code. It came as quite a surprise. Not the service it used to be.
I went into store undecided of Whig mac laptop I was going to buy. People started coming in and it was getting busy. I suggested he help the other people till I decided. He said I am here to help you. Was an awesome help and ends up getting the rose colored MacBook. I love it! Thank you for a great experience!
I got a used MacBook Pro from these guys with a $200 “warranty” which turns out doesn’t cover anything . My charger wasn’t working (faulty) and I brought my stuff in assuming they could just get me a new charger . They said I would have to leave my computer there all week, even though they had chargers in stock. I had to buy a new one even though it should’ve been covered and now it’s not working again just in time for school to start. Who has time to leave their computer somewhere for a whole week ? Don’t buy stuff from these guys, if you do don’t expect good customer service when you have issues.
My MBP started having major issues and eventually I figured out it was a defect with the logic board. Thankfully it was covered under a recall. I took my laptop into Simply Mac (the Ft. Union Store) yesterday (a Thursday) at 4pm, they tested it and said it was indeed the logic board. They told me itd be back by next Tuesday, which was a shorter time than I expected itd be, so I was just glad it wouldnt be a majorly long time. Well today before noon, I had a call that my Mac was fixed and ready to be picked up. They had it back to me in less than 24 hours. Fantastic! It works again and I couldnt be happier! I highly recommend Simply Mac.
Great service and people is very kind! The store have everything you are looking for MAC,
I dont know whats up with the negative reviews. I really enjoy buying and getting service from Simply Mac. This location is always fast and friendly and Ive never been pressured. If you feel pressured by an employee coming up to you and asking if they can help or answer any questions then you may want to continue shopping online because THATS THEIR JOB! I like being asked if I need anything, it makes me feel like they care.Thank you Simply Mac Crew for doing a great job and selling the best computers and tablets on Earth. Ill always choose you over the Apple Store.
My phone wasnt charging. I only got the red battery icon for hours but it never charged. I looked up apple care to schedule an appointment and simply mac had the next available date for a repair. I took it in Saturday. They told me they would contact me by 7:00pm that day to update me ( when I was in the store they said it would be a simple fix and done by then or they would have to send it off for a complete replacement ($299). No message that night, I called several times on Sunday, no one answered the phone all day and I left 2 messages. I stopped by another location monday evening and asked if they could look up the service request. In there system it said nothing had been done on the phone. They called the other store and someone immediately picked up and told me it wasnt charging ( which was the reason i brought it in). I gave up, went to the store, picked it up ( at which time they told me it would have to be shipped to apple for 10 days and $299 to be fixed) and walked into the apple store. They had the port fixed, battery replaced, and out the door for $32. Simply Mac was unprofessional, and board-line criminal in attempting to charge me a couple hundred for a repair on a device they never attempted to service in the first place. Definitely a BBB report coming their way.
Appointments are a week out and when you show up for them you will wait for along time. Go to another store.
2 for 2 on a good experience so far. Immediate help when I walked in the door with a computer issue, and a very thorough explanation of my options, the expenses, and no pressure at all.In comparison, I had stopped by the iQue repair 10 minutes earlier because they are closer to my house, and ended up walking out of there and driving straight over to Simply Mac instead. I wont go into detail, but I will say they were quite unprofessional over there, and I KNEW I would have a much better experience at Simply Mac.
I went in to ask about getting a repair done on my iPhone - they said it wasnt a repair they could do, but they were able to replace the whole phone immediately for free, even though its a few models behind the most recent version. It did take a long time, but that seemed to be mostly related to paperwork and software updates all from Apple. They were nice about it and never made us feel rushed.
We had a fantastic experience at the Fort Union store. We had a crashed obsolete 2008 desk top computer and Benjamin helped us with repairing the computer. He listened to us with our situation and then advised us on the best lap top computer to purchase for our needs. He was very patient with us explaining everything to us and even took extra time to install a program and make sure our computer worked for us. Our desk top computer works great now and we are so happy to also have a lap top computer. We know if we have any questions or problems that we can go into the store for help. We thank everyone in the store.
AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COSTS!! Had to schedule an appointment 2 weeks out (no idea why, I was the only person in the store) and when I got there they informed me that Apple no longer let them do same day whole unit replacements due to losing their license but would have to ship out my phone, offer no option for loaner phone, and would take up to 2 weeks to receive a replacement... oh, and before we started, even though I paid $199 for AppleCare+, they informed me it would cost $20 to just run diagnostics on the phone, even though they are built in and Apple will help you run them over the phone for free... in the end I went to the closest Apple Store and then bent over backwards to get me into their extremely busy schedule and replaced my whole phone, got me a new sync cable, and created an amazing experience!! Seriously: DO NOT GO INTO ANY SIMPLY MAC FOR ANY REASON!! Walmart would have worked harder to help me...
Great first time experience. Was able to be helped with my iMac issue and the unit was taken back for service quickly.
I rarely take time off to input reviews, but had to.. Simply.Mac and the Fort Union Store, is the very best! Ive enjoyed dealing with best manager, Zane, along with his employees. Ive loving the new MBP, along with many other purchases made through this store. THANK YOU!!!David Arnovitz
This is about the store on Fort Union Boulevard. We got great friendly, and competent service for an issue with my MacBook even though it was just a few minutes before closing time. Thanks for the help while we were on a trip here to the Salt Lake City area.As a side note, the Apple Store was completely unhelpful a few minutes before that, only offering to make an appointment for the middle of the next day or otherwise two days later.
Have made a half calls and messages, never have been called back. When in store, waited a least one before being helped, all waste of time.
I called in about an OS upgrade question, and Tanner was able to help me over the phone in about 5 minutes with a problem I had been struggling to find an answer to online for about 3 hours. I always get great service at Simply Mac!
Most amazing service I have ever Had! I will never go back to the apple store.
Worst experience ever. I was charged for a diagnosis without being told it would cost money and I already knew what the issue was. I dropped off my computer 4/19/18, called in the first week of May to check the status and was told it was still being repaired, called in today 5/12/18 and was told they were waiting for me to give them approval to send off for repair but I never received a call, text or email. My computer has been collecting dust in their backroom for no reason. Most un-professional place and the staff knows nothing about macs. DO NOT BRING YOUR COMPUTER HERE!
My kids spilled a drink on the keyboard of my MacBook, so we took it to this location, to see what the damage was, they say its bad and that it needs more money to fix than its worth......so they say!!!BUT THEY ARE NOW HOLDING IT HOSTAGE!!! apparently it costs $70 to review the computer, NOT SOMETHING THAT WAS MENTIONED BEFORE.!! I WOULDNT HAVE TAKEN IT HERE, SO BUYER BEWARE!!!!! this is very unfair!i understand charging for your services, but you need to be upfront that there is a charge, dont just take my property and hold it hostage.give me back my computer and ill take this review down, so if yo still see this review they did not do this!!
They had what I needed and were very helpful I will be back again.
The full story:Friday 9/7/18I spoke with Matt at the Kimball Junction store. I had bought a new screen, screen protector, and phone case less than a month prior at this location and I was eager to revisit this store as my replacement screen had shattered. Matt said that based on my prior purchase I was eligible for a free replacement. He informed me that I needed to go to the Fort Union Location as they were the only existing store that could replace my screen.Saturday 9/8/18My visit to the Fort Union store was filled with confusion, delays, and miscommunication between store employees. One of the employees was a hero and truly did everything he could to help me out. Ultimately I walked out with a new screen (for free) but at the expense of my time (3 hours). No more than 4 hours after leaving the Fort Union store, I had to visit the Kimball Junction store (this store was closest to my work in park city) because my iPhone 7 lost all connectivity with my network. There, at the Kimball Junction store, they told me I would have to wait till Monday or Tuesday for a technician to run diagnostics (an additional $20) service. Why a technician was not in the store during open hours is beyond me, as is any intention of using SimplyMacs services or products again. I am severely disappointed not in the store employees whom I encountered today, but the lack of a SINGLE manager at three different SimplyMac locations on a Saturday and the overall disjointedness of their business practices.
