Go outdoors is a useful supplier of sports and outdoor activities equipment. Helpful and polite staff are on-hand to sort out customers queries.

Lovely store and staff always have a great variety of stock and everyone there is willing to help. Never had an issue with purchasing goods or talking to staff whilst there and they offer an incredible price match guarantee provided it’s a U.K. company offering the exact same product. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone who needs anything outdoors related or clothing.

Great place for fishing tackle and bargains as its my go to place. Plus its great now theyve finally sorted out the fishing tackle and bait area and a lot more stock. If your into fishing or camping etc it trumps many places. Massive thumbs up!

The actual shop itself is quite cool. And the things they sell seem to be reasonable quality, but the way they pretend items cost less than they do is really sneaky and makes me want to go somewhere more transparent.There were some walking boots I wanted to buy. The label said they were £89, down from £135. I got to the till and she asked if I had Go Outdoors card. I said no. She asked if I wanted one. I said no. She said it cost £135. I said it was in the sale and cost £89. She said it only cost £89 if I had a card. It didnt say this anywhere on the item or on any signs. I said okay to the card and she revealed the card cost £5 itself. So the actual price I had to pay was £94. Unnecessary complications and little backhanded tricks to get my money will not make me go back again.

Waste of time and fuel, website says that they have stock, so we ring to check 3 times but no one answers. We decide to go anyway as we wanted the item quickly. YOU GUESSED IT, THEY DIDNT HAVE ANY. The assistant, trying to be helpful advised us to try other stores, but ring first! When we told her that was what we had done with them, but no one answered, the look on her face said everything.By the way, the item is being delivered tomorrow for the de price by Amazon.

It is a good place with wide range of products. Very reasonable prices. The staff aren’t always as well knowledgeable as they should be though.

Absolutely horrendous! Online order and confirmed. Arrived the next day. No stock. Manager refused to call another store to check stock. Suggested online which clearly does not work! Now an ex customer. Pathetic!

Been here twice now & have come away with exactly what Ive needed both times! Staff are very helpful & knowledgeable. Store is well equipped & nicely spaced out making it easy to find exactly what youre looking for.

Staff couldnt find my order despite it being right there on shelf and I was pointing it out to them. However, more than happy to charge me £5 to renew the card (not sure what the purpose or benefit of this is at all). Shame as there is a fantastic selection of stock and prices are generally quite good.

I ordered a tent and almost 2 weeks later they cancelled my order saying it was out of stock and itll take another week to refund. What a waste of my time!I had already bought a ground sheet to fit that particular tent, so I now have to find it elsewhere.If you havent got something in stock, it should not take you almost two weeks to find out. I do not recommend Go Outdoors, they are not reliable.

Lots of stock, seemingly currently having a closing down sale with at least 30% off everything BUT if you read the small print on some of the small closing down signs around the store it says but only temporarily. Feels a lot like its just a ploy to get people in the store. I found many of the products cheaper elsewhere online and others were saying the same. Not really the closing down sale it makes out. Always check prices.

New walking shoes and socks purchased. Very reasonable price. Store was nearly empty, cannot try on clothes but you can shoes. Prices at the till dont match the shelf price, so had to wait for price checks.

Theres a closing down sale on today (Bank Holiday Monday) and it was packed, but the staff were extremely helpful and theres lots of bargains to be had!

The store itself has loads of choice. The crazy pricing structure and pointless discount card are frustrating but not as much as the staff. We needed loads of camping kit and were in the shop for nearly 2hrs but a good 45mins of it was waiting for staff. 20 mins to cut a 2m piece of gas hose, I had to ask staff 3 times to get someone to come over. Took 5 staff to tell me the price of something. Generally disappointing and seems to suggest a lack of training and product awareness.

About to close for refurbishment. Odd selection of things left. Potentially some bargains in clothes, shoes few of the popular sizes left.

Well what can I say about Go Outdoors. It sells everything to do with camping and more. Really good layout of the store. Staff are very polite and friendly also very efficient. All in all good job. I will be definitely going back very soon.

Wife got lucky with I think Katie, with third pair of shoes which is hard with size three. Knew the stock inside out.Its a great dog friendly retailer. Some say they are expensive but the staff seem happy, so they must pay reasonably and if you dont support the slightly more expensive physical retailers. Guess what folks - they disappear, then youll have something to really grumble out then.

Lies the store is advertising 30% as its closing down for refurbishment... When i asked for the price of a tent it was the same as all other stores. No more discount more than any of there other stores. But still 10 pounds more than there on line store. On ebay. Its callled ultimate outdoors. When i asked where the 30% discount was. I was told its already been taken off the top retail price. So its no cheaper than any other store.. Makes no sense its misleading to entice people to store under false pretence of a store closing and a 30% discount to all stock. This discounts swallowed up by the high retail prices shown on the tag. And is as said the same as other go outdoors stores. Ive reported this to trading standards and a case has been raised. The snotty attitude of some older lady was frankly quite insulting. when i pointed out there on line store was still cheaper. She said we will match the price but remove your 10% member discount.. I walked out.. The tent price should of been 30% cheaper than there other stores not the same. There was no reason to drive

Massive delivery issues. Ordered a number of items online, 1 item arrived a few days later, other items not even dispatched after over a week & no one can even tell me when they will be, despite full payment being taken.

Theyre having a closing down sale, (temporarily, apparently). So, if you need cupboards, tables etc for camping, dont bother. Half the shelves are empty. If you need fishing stuff, clothing or shoes, crack on. Theres loads of that stuff.

Girlfriend ordered a bike, we collected it to build it ourselves, the pedal/pedal arm was faulty, took it to the store the next day, bike technician staff were very defensive and rude telling us it was all our fault and patronising us the whole time rather than trying to help us resolve the problem. They tried to put the full cost of the replacement part on ourselves. This would be a 0* review if not for a conversation with the store manager who helped come to an agreement to partially cover the cost, although not satisfied we did not want to continue fighting. Bike quality on the compass bikes is on the low side

Be careful when buying bikes from here. Unless you’re confident in bike mechanics double check everything before you leave! I spent over £1400 on one of their bikes and the gears were set up totally wrong and half of them were unusable. I’ve been cycling over 10 years and couldn’t figure out the issue. I’m now having to spend even more money taking it to my local independent shop to fix simply because I don’t trust the mechanics here to have another go at botching it. My advice would be to shop local at a recommended bike store and avoid big chains such as go outdoors and Evans cycles. Big stores like this don’t employ proper bike mechanics, just teenagers with a days training how to build a bike out of the box

Prices online are often ££ significantly cheaper than if you buy in store. EG Berghaus Gortex coat with discount card reduced to £220.00 However online at their sister store it was only £120 a saving of £100. But it is helpful to see the goods you like here and try on for size or compare it with alternatives. NB they do offer a price match inc an extra 10% allegedly, but they declined the 10% to me whilst matching the online price. Open even in 2nd lockdown as they sell bikes. Pay them a visit. The shop is almost empty of customers. And Im sure they would love to see someone. Ps Try to live here in their wonderful tents and see how many weeks before they discover you.

Strange they are allowed to open, apparently because they sell calor gas and bikes.But so lovely to shop there because its so quiet and a joy to walk around.

Wouldnt use this store again (Coventry) Although they have a large selection of items they dont have some stuff in store even though online it is available to collect that day (dont know where it would have appeared from) A wasted 50 mile round trip. Picked an alternative item which really isnt what I wanted or needed in the hope it would work. The carry bag it comes in was very damaged and ripped and highly unlikely the carpet will ever go back in it again. No one seemed bothered about the condition of the bag or willing to find anything alternative. Wont use again.

Placed 3 different orders online for goods showing as in stock, hours after each order placed, get an e-mail to say that they have been cancelled as none of the items are in stock. Tried to ring to speak to someone and the phone just rings and rings with nobody answering - useless!

Went to the Coventry store on Saturday to purchase camping chairs. Got to the chair section to find that they had almost zero stock. Spoke with a member of staff who informed me that there has been a rush on people going camping due to Corona so they have no stock. Drove 5 miles up the road to Jacksons of Arley who had loads of stock. So Go Outdoors using Covid as an excuse for your poor stock control isnt really on!
