Good prices, great staff, vast selection. They tend to have hard-to-find products that the big box stores lack. Ideal place to shop if you prefer to support local mom-and-pop stores.

Store is great, service is great. The convenience is super-great. And they have a rewards program. You really need to check out this great hardware store if you havent yet.

I used to love this store as they seemed to have everything that I needed including hard to find items. It was my first over the big box stores. Today that changed. I called the store looking for a 2 wheel large wheel barrow . and was told that they had both plastic and steel tub models in stock and they were open until 4 PM. I immediately drove to the store and as the clerk at the counter where the wheel barrows as I just called. He told me they they dont have any. I inquired how can that be as I called 10 minutes ago he responded I dont know I asked him who answers the phone and he claimed he didnt know, but the voice sounded familiar. He then called next in line and left me standing there. I asked to speak to the person in charge, and someone came forward from the back of the store. I explained what transpired and he said ok. I said thats it? He said that he would speak to his employee and walked away. I would have thought an apology is in order and some token to come back coupon etc. For me its back to the big box store as at least they are courteous, polite, own up to errors and offer to make things right. It is really sad as I used to like this store but with multiple employees providing substandard customer service it demonstrates a lack of leadership and accountability.

We bought a new snow shovel and I couldn’t be happier. Today’s storm will prove a challenge, already effortlessly cleared the driveway and walkway. The ergonomic design proved to be a pleasure to use.The staff was helpful in highlighting the benefits of this shovel. We use Sholes frequently because of the staff and well stocked store.

As a new homeowner in the neighborhood, I’ve been going out of my way to go to this store even though I pass Home Depot on my way! I’ve purchased multiple things from here (including a really nice grill) to try and give less to big box stores. Unfortunately I haven’t felt that “neighborhood friendly” feeling when I go to this store although I feel I’ve given it many chances. My last time there I didn’t realize they close at 4pm on Sundays and went in at 3:50 for a sample of paint to touch up what I’d already painted in my home (having purchased all of my paint at this store recently). I asked at the register if someone could make me a quick sample. They looked at the clock and said “unfortunately no.” I was only one of two customers in the store and they did not seem busy. I grabbed the sample card of paint I needed and took it to Home Depot on my way home. Sorry guys, you’ve lost my business.Update: The Home Depot employees were extremely friendly and I was able to get what I needed with a pleasant experience.

Always a great experience. Everything is always neat and clean, easy to find. Staff is always pleasant. Will continue to shop here.

If I remember correctly? They didnt have what I was looking for. Or the price was a little high. But Im not sure? But I ended up going to Home Depot, I do remember that. Any type of convenience store, isnt going to have the lowest prices or the largest choices, including a hardware convenience store. I dont go there often. I guess they would be a good place, for some small project. If they have it. But if Im doing a decent size project, and Home Depot or Lowes is on the way. I always go to one of those. Its a matter of, pay for the extra gas, or pay higher prices for the product, and take the chance, they dont sell it. Or just, spend money on the gas, and go where I know, they have what Im looking for. LOL

What a wonderful experience! The store is clean, bright, organized, and stocked with a large variety of products. The staff greeted me upon entering, offered assistances, and was quite knowledgeable. They had everything I needed and more. I’ll definitely be back!

They sell craftsman hand tools but wont exchange a broken craftsman wratchet without a reciept. Craftsman hand tools are lifetime guarantee and can be exchanged at any craftsman retailer for even exchange. This store makes their own warranty rules i guess. Lol what a joke

It’s pretty well stocked for an Ace Hardware. And the people know where everything is and are helpful so, way faster than the homeless death spot (Home Depot).

It amazes me how much of an awesome selection the store has. They seem to have everything you need and it is so much more convenient than going to the big box store. The people in the store are super helpful and knowledgeable and care about their job in what they do. Theres always tons of parking and its an easy in and out.

I would give 5 stars if they would stay open later than 5pm on a Friday & Saturday!! But 6pm Monday thru Thursday. Wow an hour later! My only problem is the store times and Im sure that this is an inconvenience to everyone & myself!

I love it here. I’ve gone here before, they are usually quite helpful. Today, one of the employees told me exactly what parts I needed for my project, it was great. However, I do agree with another reviewer that it can be quite pricey. I needed a drill charger but the one at Ace was $13 more than one online.

I was walking here to buy a wheelbarrow and all their wheelbarrows were loose and put on the wrong way once I adjust it to the owner I was nothing but yelled at. This isnt the only time I faced this type of poor service from this place. The owner will follow you and havent stuff follow you around. All you have to do is go and talk to the owner youll be able to see the kind of place that is

Exchange policy is horrible. I returned a bird feeder. It was a gift. The feeder disassembled while on the shepards hook. It just fell apart. The elder salesman was just horrible and rude about me returning it. It was humiliating. So I grabbed the feeder told him to f off . ill never go back there again. Coventry RI store.
