Can I just say WOW!!! We visit St. Louis frequently and this is by far the tastiest pastry shoppe we’ve ever had! Prices are on point and food is AMAZING!! I’ll just say you won’t regret trying it. It is now a permanent part of our visits to St. Louis. We just ate there and I already want to go back. 😍😍🤤
I was really excited to go to this place. And I mean it was cool and the vibe felt nice, but the items I got weren’t as good as I was expecting them to be. Everything was too sweet. And of course, like pastries right? they’re suppose to be, but it was overly sweet where I didn’t wanna eat it anymore. I had their apricot danish and their raspberry macaroons which tasted like they were thawed out. You know that slight freezer taste when you thaw something out? Also it crumbled like a cookie when I bit into it which macaroons aren’t supposed to do if you’ve had a real or close a real one. That’s what it tasted like and it was kinda gross. I also had their blondie coffee and there was a ton of syrup at the bottom and it was just too sweet. I want to try their lunch and breakfast though I have high hopes for that. And I hope the rest of their items are amazing, I just didn’t like the items I got. Hope everyone else had a good experience with them they do seem like a good place
Visited this place a few nights ago around 7pm with my wife and it was super good! The food was prepared fast and the sandwiches we’re huge! The girl working was super helpful and was quick to know the answer to everything I asked. Definitely will come back !!
Staff friendly, food is always exceptional.My go-to is the chicken salad and bacon croissant.
We ordered a blueberry muffin, a cinnamon roll, and five macaroons today. The blueberry muffin and cinnamon roll we ate immediately and they were good. Later in the day, we were very unhappy when we tried the macaroons. Three of our five macaroons were dried out and tasted strongly of freezer burn, to the point where we couldn’t taste the flavors they were supposed to be and we had to throw them out. They were highly priced at $2.50 per macaroon so needless to say we are very unhappy with that purchase.
Had been looking forward to trying this place for two weeks. Thought maybe it could be a place I would draw while I sip my coffee and eat breakfast. One worker was ranting and arguing with the other worker the whole time from 7:30-8 am on the floor where everyone has to get their coffee. Im not a morning person so listening to all of that without my coffee was too much for me. It did not help that they did not have what I had my eye on from the website. So, I picked a cheese Danish, which turned out not to be cheese, but custard. I am very allergic to custard but everyone was arguing so I did not ask for a replacement or refund. I just left.

What a fantastic experience!!! My friend and I were greeted immediately despite the employees being really busy with other customers. When it was our turn to order, the cashier went above and beyond to explain the menu items and answered any questions that we had. She also took the time to make some small talk as we were deciding what to eat. Did not make us feel rushed at all. The food was made quickly and efficiently and served to us with passion.VERY nice staff. SUPER friendly! I HIGHLY recommend stopping in for lunch and treats!!

We got 4 different cakes to go -- taste was good I guess but packaging was very unprofessional. I should have returned it. The staff didnt seem knowledgeable about their menu either. Not cool..
I went there last night and it was the most horrific service I had ever encountered. If you’re going to hire children at least make sure these children are well mannered. She was walking around cussing and slamming things for no reason at all. I will not be returning to this place of business. If I could post with no stars I would.
A new favorite spot! Love the chicken teriyaki on French, and the pastry selection is top notch
This place has great food for breakfast and lunch. I am sure the pastries are delicious, but I can not eat gluten so I have not tried them.

I really wanted to like this place more than I did. The staff was very friendly but unfortunately, also pretty clueless as to the answers of my questions and the ingredients on their own sandwiches. For being a “Danish” bakery, they have very few, if any, authentic Danish elements. The Macarons were, by far, the best part, but with a plethora of menu items, it feels as if the place hasn’t decided what it actually is. With ice cream, cupcakes, pastries, cheesecakes, cakes, pies, brûlée’s, dessert truffles, sandwiches, pizza, pita pockets, breakfast items, and countless more, it’s really a convoluted place. Our French Dip sandwich and accompaniment jus were relatively bland, especially with a side of a small bag of plain Lays potato chips. The included truffle was unfortunately not at all appetizing, and our cannoli was stale. My wife enjoyed her iced coffee though admittedly, she is not a coffee connoisseur and I don’t drink the stuff. I see potential here, but I hoped for more.
Great selections of pastries but employees were not welcoming. They either ignored us or showing the ignorant face. It’s our first visit and we’ve done nothing wrong to deserve this kind of treatment. Not going back for sure.

First time here. The good. Its clean. The rest... got here before 7pm (they supposedly close at 8) The 15 year old behind the counter could probably hear me better if he took both earbuds out. He literally said Say what? twice. I wanted a hot sandwich but I was told nothing hot and no soup. So I ordered a Turkey sandwich for $10 seen below. Wow...its maybe a $5 sandwich? Then I asked about the coffees. I was told they dont have that either. So it appears they just want to close and get out early as they close down most the food choices and even at 7:20 put all the chairs upside down which is always pleasant. Seriously? How does this place stay in business...read the other reviews. There is a pattern. Wont go back---ever. I would rather do Subway even.
Food was good however the prices are high. $9-10 for a sandwich. Got 3 sandwiches, 1 omlette and a few desserts the bill was $70.Bread was fresh, veggies were fresh. Plenty of parking and lots of room inside to sit.
Went there yesterday with my boyfriend for the first time, they have a decent selection of pastries, macaroons, etc. but definitely lacking on everything else. To be fair, I was there around 6pm, so I need to go back in the morning next time. Pastries were delicious, but they dont have the names or prices written/advertised anywhere for the sweets, which I found highly annoying. Service was great.

Ive only tried the cupcakes and would like to come back and try their actual food, but I wasnt a big fan of the cupcake.If you like a lot of icing, then you will probably love these as you get plenty and it is super sweet. However, the cake was dry and not very flavorful. I also wasnt a fan of the fondit decorations on top. They look pretty but taste awful.

First time visiting this place. Really great food and wonderful service from the girl with the red hair. Definitely will recommend. I enjoyed the cheese cake and California tuna salad.

I visited Pastries of Denmark for breakfast with my mom. There was an extensive menu of coffee beverages to choose from. We ordered a latte and an iced coffee with hazelnut. Both were decadent and had rich flavor. My iced coffee wasn’t watered down, something I’ve had happen other places. I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese croissant sandwich. I planned to take half home. That didn’t happen; it was so good! This sandwich, which is a pretty basic idea, stood out for the flaky, buttery croissant. Well worth the $15 I spent for both items, which is comparable to similar establishments’ prices. I finished the visit by purchasing a peanut butter pastry and a strawberry stuffed eclair to go. As always, both pastries were beautiful and delicious. I L❤️VE this bakery!
RECENT REVIEW: So UNDERWHELMING, food was not even warm. $4+ hot chocolate was like convenience stand quality, with water as base. Lower quality ingredients than the product descriptions and images online. NOT freshly made which you would expect for price. Really disappointing.

Excellent vegetable soup! The bbq chicken sandwich was large and very tasty on homemade bread. The stars of the show though, are the goodies. From cupcakes to macarons, these are simply outstanding. Well worth the visit each time we go to St. louis.
The owner and employee were so very nice and helpful. They patiently described literally every dessert they had and even gave us a little extra treat since it was our first time! We tried various cheesecakes which were all delicious and a variety of macarons which were good, if a little sweet for our taste. The creme brulee was fantastic as was the coffee. We will be back for sure to try more yummy things!!
Went here Sat morning. No other customers there. The two girls behind the counter stood there and stared at me as I walked in and said hello. after I asked about coffee one of them barely mumbled an answer . Another young woman walked in after me and they were both very friendly and talkative, even wished her a nice day. The coffee was good, but if your business doesn’t welcome customers of diverse backgrounds equally, then good job, you just lost one forever.
I was very disappointed to see people in line with no masks and the wait staff with their noses out. My family and I left without ordering. My daughter and I were there on April 17th around 12:30 pm.
The selection is amazing. I love to look into the case and see all the gorgeous Pastries. But even their sandwiches are amazing.

Had a pecan banana muffin, a cupcake and some chocolate pastry (dont remember the name),i have never had such aweful baking soda after taste in my mouth and the pastry was not just a tad bit but extremely sweet...I so wanted to love this place as its nearby and I generally run a bit to far for my sweet tooth, but I would rather run those extra miles than have this! Staff indeed is helping and friendly.

THE go-to place for cupcakes. If you want overwhelming and indulgent cupcakes, this is where you get them. The flavors go well together without being too out there. Each has some sort of filling and are well-decorated.The coffee bar up front looks inviting but is nothing you write home about. Serves your caffeine needs.The food menu is fine. My family really likes the chicken salad. Everything is moderately healthy.The wedding and birthday cakes are probably their bigger money maker. Beautiful and fancy. Based on the cupcakes, I am sure they are delicious.
Best place to go for breakfast or lunch, sandwiches are big definitely worth it. If you want something sweet definitely the place to go, they have over 32 flavors of macarons. Plus some many how tips of sweet, cakes cannolis, pies, petit four. Everything you could ever think of eating. Definitely need to try if you havent. The people are extremely welcoming to every individual person. Love them.

My dad had cataract surgery nearby. I was just going to grab a quick sandwich to eat in the car. Homemade breads, large selection of sandwiches made it hard to choose. I was so focused on grab and go that i hadnt noticed the pastries in the case in front of me. Tiramisu, peanut butter pie, cannoli and several other decadent looking items, as well as, ice cream and cookies . I passed since we both need to lose weight. The sandwich was hearty with meat and fresh lettuce and tomato. To my delight there was a bite size cake ball also in the bag.
The red head gave great service and pastries were Delicious.

We have ordered chocolate pastry and carrots cake. Both of them were too much sweet.
Today is 7/30/20. I went to this bakery for the FIRST TIME about 2wks ago. I bought a piece of chocolate cake and it was delicious. So, I went back a week later and asked one of the sales people to help me with the name of the cake that I had bought because they had different kinds of chocolate cakes. I wanted to buy a whole cake of the same kind that I had bought previously for a get together that I was having. The lady that was helping me was loud and I guess kind of sassy. As I was trying to explain to her the slice of cake that I had, she kept saying that it was the chocolate mousse cake. She was very loud and there were other customers in the store. And she kept saying, Ive been doing this for 20 years and I know what Im talking about. I was a little embarrassed but I bought the whole cake based on her word. I served the cake at my get together and I had a slice too. It didnt taste anything like the slice that I had. The slice had more cake in it where the whole cake had very little cake (thinner layers of cake) and a lot of icing. It was like eating nothing but icing but I had served the cake to several people and it wasnt enough to take back. Most of them didnt eat it. That cake was kind of expensive and, I felt like it was a total waste of money. I went back to this bakery today and I was explaining to one of the sales people that the two cakes seem different and they dont taste the same. I told her that the whole cake in question taste like nothing but icing. She seemed like she didnt want to hear what I had to say about my experience with the slice and the whole cake, she just wanted to know what I wanted to buy today. It seems to me that theyre more concerned with making sales than having satisfied customers. I didnt even get an apology for the misinformation, if the first Lady has been doing this for 20 yrs then she should understand that one cake is very thin layers of cake vs. the other cake with thicker layers and the thin layers of cake has more icing between the thin layers. If you can imagine this huge ruffle top of chocolate icing (more like candy) and the cake wrapped in the same and a lot of icing between thin layers of cake then you can imagine that this cake was nothing but icing. I didnt feel like they really cared there at that bakery, so I wont be going back there again. There are several other bakeries fairly close that I would like to try.
Fresh and wonderful food and desserts.
We went for the first time today and it was wonderful. We ordered the BBQ chicken pizza, the BLT pizza, the gyro, and the teriyaki sandwich. All 4 items were great. We got there right before 11am and Im glad we did. It got very busy right at 11. The staff was accommodating. The only thing that would make the place better would be some background music. Will definitely go back!

Awesome place. Really a comfy cafe/bakery/sandwich place. I was a little confused when I saw a sign with Coffee Bar on it and a bunch of flavors assuming it was different coffee flavors but ended up ordering a cupcake and coffee on top. Great chocolate raspberry cupcake and coffee too I just was a little confused.
