Most over priced oil change. I was charged $95 for a standard oil change and that was with a $10 off coupon. They also never put my washer reservoir cap back on so another $10 replacement cost for that. It only cost $56 at the dealership. Verify the cost before getting the service done.

I came here because I received great service in the past. During my last visit I was helped by Tom, he tried to over sell my $300 repair to $2,100, no worries he said as he tried to pictch me the fire stone credit card so he could get commission.Thankfully I had an inspection at the same Firestone before my inspection that quoted me $300.Last but not least, when I dropped off the car he said and I quote “We will call you about the price before we begin work on the car” ok. “Then you can give us permission to move foward or you can give me the middle finger and come pick it up.” Very uncalled for.

I am from Missouri and was in this area and my alternator went out at 7:30 in the morning. We called ahead and spoke with the manager and he told us to bring the truck on in and they would get to it this morning. Had the truck towed to their shop and the manager was good to his word and got the truck right in. Had us up and running by 11:00 this morning. These guys are great and thank you from your Missouri visitors.

Very disappointed they call them self tire repair company. I brought my car there due to a leaking tire. I made an appointment they never told me that they have a new rule that if your tire is more than 8 years old they will not fix it. So after I dropped it off they called me an said they would not fix it. I have been bringing my car there for 10 years and have never heard of that . the only reason they new the year of the tire is they put them on. My friend went in the next day tires were 7 years old and had a leak and they fixed it with no problem. Confused never gave me a good reason other then we were not going to fix it maybe I needed new tires but nothing. Done with them. Manger was very rude.

Will never go there again . Two managers telling me 2 completely opposite opinions on what was wrong with my car. One manager quoted me a high price to fix my car that I only payed a fraction of price at Good Year tires in Crystal lake!!!!

Rude manager must have caught him in a mood swing. Made an appointment online. Show up early for manager to tell me they have no one qualified to do more than oil changes. They did not service or help me. Terrible business. Head to CarX down a lil further on Rt 14. . Or Discount Muffler and Brake around the corner off of Berkshire in Crystal Lake. Much more responsive and respectful. 👍

Patrick at Crystal Lake Firestone was the best. He is so honest and nice. I came in to get my tires checked because of a shake. I had just come from the Dodge Dealership to get an oil change to comply with my warranty and they stated I needed a new radiator and that is was leaking. The dealership also stated that my license plate light was out. I declined to get the bulb replaced there for $30 and made an appointment for them to replace my radiator for Monday. I told Patrick of the radiator and bulb needing replacement. He said he could change the bulb for me for $16. To make a long story short, I needed new tires, and left with a new set of 4. He also showed me that my license plate light did not need to be replaced because it was not out and that nothing was wrong with my radiator. He is an honest man who went out of his way to physically show me that it is not leaking. Needless to say, I am happy with my purchase, Im canceling my appointment with the dealership on Monday, and never going back to the Dodge dealership. I will 100% sing the praises of Patrick at the Crystal Lake Firestone.

I had an 8am appt for tires. The manager(?) was pleasant, took care of me right away.I was in and out in about an hour. Place was clean, well laid out for Covid-19. Only minor complaint: since nobody is using water fountains now, please get a little fridge and put water bottles in it.Lots of service/ waiting area have them now for free.

A True model in inefficiently. Made an appointment for an oil change for 10:00 Am. They pulled my car in at 10:10. Forty five minutes later all they had done was pop the hood. Then the mechanic walks out to test a cars battery that had been sitting there the whole time. Really lift my car drain the oil then test the battery.I requested at that point they just pull my car out and thanked for wasting an hour of my day. The oil change before me the guy was complaining it took one hour and twenty minutes. Avoid this place. It’s literally a 20-30 minute job anywhere.

Customer service is great. Oil changes not up to par! First car in gets over filled. Drive less than a mile and have to return due to smell of oil and smoke from engine. Second car in, pulls in with no errors and gets a mile away with an oil sensor light on. Going back for the fourth time today to see why NOW there is a problem.

If you have a newer car i wouldnt take it here. They didnt know how to reset the tire pressure sensor after replacing a tire. Youre either going to have to end up bringing it back in there for them to try and figure out, or just look it up in your manual and do it yourself like i had to. Otherwise the service has been relatively good.

Carlos, Carrie and Matt are all Amazing people. Carlos (Store Manager) and Carrie (Asst. Store Manager) ALWAYS go above and beyond to make sure my needs are met in a timely and affordable manor. They are always honest and upfront with me, they tell me which services I need right away and which can wait. Matt (ASE CERTIFIED MASTER TECH) takes great care of my car. This is the only place I let work on my car (1998 Sebring Convertible, which I baby!).

Went here a year ago to get my brakes checked (just started squeaking) was told I needed new 2 calipers,2 rotors and pads all around 2 new tires and a timing belt got quoted around $1400 or so. I was planning on selling the car anyway and wanted to know if it had any problems before I sold it to someone. I was the only owner of this car and had a full service history. The timing belt was replaced 2 before and all brake work had been done 15 months before . I took the quote with a smile on my face knowing never to go back to that dump. What they are doing is stealing in my eyes. I sold the car to a friend that works on cars he changed 2 brake pads and has never had a problem with the car

The guy working on my car damaged the bumper, the manager saw it and just pushed it in just enough to be held until I drove away I saw when it happened and I confronted him but he said nothing and ran inside the shop. Also they treat your vehicle without respect, slamming the doors both directions, when they test drive the vehicle they like to redline it. I dont recommend it stay away at least from the one from Crystal lake il

They attempt to force you into buying outrageously marked up parts through them from the same location youd buy yourself anyway. They cant answer any questions and are super rude over the phone. Thanks Victor!

AMAZING SERVICE!!!!I called in on 9/2/2018 and talked to a nice gentleman named Martine. He was very helpful and I told him my power steering pump went out on our Toyota Camry. The estimate price would have been over $550.00 and then with a oil change over $600. I dropped off the car and was satisfied with quote and the time to fix the vehicle. Martine called me and told me that power steering pump was not broken but he has to clean it up and replace a bad line that caused the issue. This saved us $300! He could have said he replaced it and just changed the line and charged me, he did not.Honesty is something you dont find every day and if youre thinking of getting your car fixed and dealing with honest people who charge you a fair price, GO HERE!!! Dont look anywhere else, so IMPRESSED!I mean who does this anymore and is this HONEST? I have lived in Lake in the Hills for 23 years and very happy to find a great place for my car now.Thank you Firestone and Martine in Crystal Lake.

I had a flat tire and needed a replacement fast, I searched everywhere, I went to Firestones website and saw they had my tire size, so I made an appointment for later that day. When I arrived at Firestone they told me that they didnt have my tire in stock, but that theyre two other locations an hour away had one tire each. I immediately assumed I would have to reschedule for tomorrow, nope they said if I wanted the tires I would have to drive out to theyre other stores and pick them up. Never once did they offer to get them. When I questioned why I was able to make an appointment online that said my tires were in stock they were silent, thats just how we work the sales clerk said. Pathetic.

Terrible! The manage John told me his AC tech was gone for the day so I came back the next day when I was told he would be there, mind you its a 35 minute drive from Harvard. Needless to say his tech wasnt there, and made no attempt to apologize ANYTHING for wasting my gas and time! I will never come back here again.

Never taking my car here again. TOTAL RIPOFF!!! My 16-year-old son took his car there for a.c. service. Manager John called him back to say aside from a.c., tech said clutch was slipping as he drove the car into the shop and quoted him $1700 (!!!) to replace. When my son told him that clutch is fine and was replaced just a few months ago, John said Oh and dropped the subject. Also, I found out (NOT up front) that they mark up all parts from dealerships another 10% OVER list price, or what I could have walked into my dealership and bought it for myself. When I asked about this, manager John said this was company policy. Cancelled repairs before they started, took the car, and will not be going back. I would have given no stars, but needed to rate at least 1 to post.

Save yourself time and money by NOT going there! Had my brakes done and there was a problem from the start. They kept saying nothing wrong but yet they kept squeaking and braking hard. After 8 months of complaining they finally fixed the problem! Also had a battery installed at the same time. 2 different mechanics told me it was a bad battery! But NOT FIRESTONE!! According to them its just fine! Bottom line, theyll take your money but not honor warranties!!

I had a great experience at Firestone, Carlos got in me in quickly. I was there for my wifes tires and an oil change, was out in an hour!! I am actually going to have my tires in the next few weeks.

My last two visits have been very unsuccessful. Two trips ago they changed the oil in my minivan - pretty standard procedure, I would think. But somehow they forgot to put the air filter cover back on and I noticed something was off as soon as I pulled out of their driveway. Luckily, my husband was able to figure out what was wrong, but they should have the basic knowledge to put everything back where it belongs when they are done working on your car. My trip today was to have a wheel aligned and one tire replaced. I made note of both things I wanted done when I requested an appointment online (through a check-box AND written instructions), as well as when I spoke to someone on the phone. I got home and my husband checked out the new tire - turns out they didnt actually replace it! Im disappointed with their service and lack of attention to detail (although the detail seems pretty obvious to me on this one). I will not be returning, even though they are one of the few places I know of that has online scheduling - but if thats your ONLY draw for customers, you better work harder!

This place is run by scammers! I brought my car in Monday because it died out on me Sunday night. I told them I believed there was an electrical issue going on. They charged me for a diagnosis and said it was having a fuel issue so charged me $1,200 to fix the gaskets. I told them I dont have alot of money to invest in my car, are you sure this is the problem? They answered yes and did the work they diagnosed as the problem.. I go to pick it up Tuesday and drive on my way. My car dies again when Im a half hour away from my house.. when this was the original issue I brought my car in for. I also noticed that the blower motor for my heater wasnt working when it was working when I originally dropped my car off to get it fixed. I call them and say You better make this right! They worked on my car another day or two and gave me a courtesy rental car. Told me the work would be complementary and they would make sure they fixed the original issue I brought it in for but that they wouldnt fix the blower motor for free that it wasnt working when I brought it into their shop. Note: I got my blower motor replaced at another Firestone location in Carpentersvile a little over 2 years ago. It had a warranty on it.. But their warranty only covers 1 year. Charged me another 200 dollars on top of the original 1200. So 1400 total. Now for the original work I brought it in for.. Turned out the car was dieing due to a Engine Sensor Idle air control valve and needed new spark plugs.. So they overcharged me for the original work which wasnt diagnosed properly and not the reason my car was dieing; and should have only been around 500 tops, and then charged me 200 more for a blower motor that got fixed at one of their stores; and then they broke it in their shop to get even more money out of me! Worst customer service ever! Liars and Thieves! We have been customers of Firestone for years! I guess this is how they keep you coming back! Poor or false diagnosises (which they charge you $100 a pop for), and crappy parts apperantly! Do yourself a favor and avoid Firestone at all costs! Will be the worst decision you ever made for a mechanic! I will make sure everyone knows how horrible this place is unless corporate or management makes this situation right!

Had an appointment set up and when arrived on time, was told would have to wait 30 minutes because they were backed up. A few minutes later, they said they wont be able to see me because they are busy. I understand business is business, but when you have my phone number I expect you to call me when something changes.
