Extremely hard, to understand these 5-star reviews.My experience was anything but 5-Star. While it started out ok, a salesperson came out to the house, took some measurements for hardwood flooring. Said, he/she would get us a quote, in a few days. Well, a week went bye, nothing. We called, to find out he/she had an emergency. Ok, we understand that.The Owner said “he/she should be back in a week. So, A week goes bye we call again. Nothing, then we get busy, and another week goes by. Then we call again. The salesperson is back. He/she apologizes, we accept and agree to get a quote in another day or two. Well, another week goes by. we call again, “Talk to the owner” this time, we get the bid the next day.Well, the quote is 33% more than everyone else, we talk to the owner. Well Lumber prices have gone up, which they had in the 5 weeks of dealing with them they had gone up by some 40%. Ok, we get that. We wait another 2 months, lumber prices fall, back down. We call the salesperson and ask to review the quote. He/she says that they will talk with the owner. My wife stops by to speak w/ the salesperson the next day. She states that she told me that there would be no review of the adjustment and that prices have gone back up.AKA, do not waste your time.

So far Im not impressed. Ive never gotten follow thru on 2 different occasions. They will be given one more chace tomorrow, only by my husbands persistence. Lets see what happens. I dont have much faith.

I recently dealt with Paige and the owner directly with a situation, they were both very personal, caring and understanding. All through the process they were kind and were in constant contact. I am very pleased with my experience with them and would recommend them to anyone!

This company is top notch. Ive worked with a lot of home services companies, both personally and professionally, and this is one company I feel totally comfortable recommending. I recently had a huge time crunch while moving homes, and Exceed did everything possible to meet my needs. We needed to sand out stains in our hardwood floors (multiple rooms) and refinish (on a very tight timeline). Exceed carefully planned out the entire project for us, ensuring it was done by our move out date, and working around our move. It was like science....everything was planned and executed to perfection. We also had to have carpet installed, and floors refinished at our new residence, in a two-day, very specific window of time. Once again, Exceed carefully planned out every last detail to ensure it was completed on time, on budget, and to your satisfaction. Our new floors, both carpet, and hardwood, look amazing. I am from out of town and have worked for design based flooring stores so I went in out of curiosity instead of business. The store was very clean and staff was all very friendly. The owner was very nice and made conversation instead of trying to drive me out with fear of competition. The products they carry are all high quality and well displayed without giving you a cramped feeling. This is the type of store I’d love to work for if it were local.

Great store with many tile samples, flooring, cabinets, countertops, faucets. Much more than flooring! Quite large. They have designers, can do large custom jobs if needed. Been in business a long time.

Weve done a number of projects with Haig and his team at Exceed - from kitchen counter tops, to bathroom remodeling, new shower and counter tops to now hardwood flooring on the fist floor. Everything has been great - communication, look/feel, workmanship, etc. If there is a question or concern, they are on it immediately. Thats the best part - working with people youve come to know and trust. You can find a great price anywhere if you shop around but is it all that great if you dont like the quality/results? If they dont back what they do and address your needs/concerns? These guys know what theyre doing and do it well - stand behind their work. Quality ideas, designs. Quality workmanship. There for you to make sure youre happy/satisfied after the sale - I cant ask for any more.

Exceed Flooring helped us obtain the bathroom of our dreams. Haig and the team were fantastic to work with, from design to communication to installation. Professional, top-notch service all the way! Haig was extremely easy to work with and we were thrilled with Exceed all throughout the process. Tile choices are vast, fitting a wide arrange of tastes. We will work with Exceed again in the future and highly recommend them.

Do not use this company! We had to have our ENTIRE brand new bamboo floor ripped out and reinstalled because of Exceed flooring. We had many boards in the middle of the room with splintered corners, a board with a gigantic chip in the end, cleat nails spaced at 2 inches each, and 4 cleats within 10 inches. We had a staple popping up through one of the seams and they had to tear back a couple rows of boards which required them to glue down replacement boards instead of nail down tongue and groove in the middle of the floor. Several boards have no tongues because they botched the install and had to glue down instead. One board wasnt even secured to the floor. In addition to all of the damages they basically completely messed up the design aspect with a couple of unsightly boards installed right in the middle of the floor, unsightly H joints, a section with no joints at all that looks like a pier. Installers started laying the floor immediately without even inspecting the subfloor for any irregularities and never took moisture/ humidity readings of the subfloor, flooring, or environment. Im sure this company does quality installations but, for whatever reason, they sent a crew of kids with no supervisor and they had no experience installing Cali fossilized wide tongue and groove. They tried using regular nails, then staples, and finally switched to cleats. They ruined so many boards with nails and staples that they ran out of boards and couldnt complete the job. They hammered the ends of the boards in with a mallet which we believe damaged the ends and prevented the boards from seating properly. Ultimately, the did end up taking the floor out and set the lead installer to properly instal the floor.

Do not work with Paige Howard. She doesn’t listen and she does not explain A to Z about the job. She even lied to her manager She does not give you the paperwork’s nor finalized it with you before ordering the materials etc. very poor designer and lousy job!!!

Very knowledgeable and helpful. Went to four places to ask questions and all gave different answers based on what they were selling. Thats not the answer I wanted. Exceed gave me the truth on all products and let me make the decision. Very courteous professional and quick installation. Cant say enough good about Exceed. Thank you Paige

I just finished a complete kitchen remodel with Exceed and could not be happier! Haig and Hawley were a huge help as I made decisions, pulling samples and putting them together for me numerous times so that they were ready for viewing when I walked in the store, always offering very helpful guidelines and design advice. Since they have such a huge selection, having them make some initial suggestions kept me from being overwhelmed. They also came to my house, both before and after the installation—first, to help me make choices and, then, to see the completed project.I have also carpeted four bedrooms and the basement with them and am about to carpet the rest of the house. They will always be my first choice!

We’ve done a number of projects (kitchen backsplash, full renovation of master bath, new flooring throughout our home) with Haig and Kim and we’ve loved how they’ve all turned out! Haig’s communication and attention to detail was second to none! I highly recommend them!

I am more than disappointed and angry about our experience with Exceed flooring. I will never recommend them, and I will caution those I learn want to use them. We bid/purchased a certificate they donated to a charity event we attended. We were set up for measure & inspection of flooring. I took off work and she never came and no one called. Later I was told due to weather she was unable to come. After reschedule, I said I understood, & moved past that. Going to the show room I was unable to find any tile in their “in stock” that offered enough for my room. They offered to honor 1/2 of the certificate for “ordered” tile and materials. I didn’t use other parts of the certificate as it was not offered “CAM” drawings for example. Once I ordered tile I went in and paid the difference. I was then told by Kim (front desk sales) that they would let me know that week the date for install. Never heard anything, so I called several times to follow up and confirm a date finally. A time was never given to me, even up to the actual day installer was to arrive. I had to call again to make sure he was even coming. Installer took up my old tile and removed all my trim and 1/4 round? When I spoke to the store about this they stated he could not put it back until cabinets were installed. Long conversation, but I was confused, but trusted them to know what they were talking about. Installer then told me my trim was bad and I needed new trim. I argued and said that should not be the case and it was expensive oversized trim that matches the rest of the house. Move to couple days later and he tells me he needs to level floor and he can not lay my tile in the direction it is meant to be laid due to my floor being unlevel. Talked to owner he came out told me he would figure it out. Called to tell me they would do it for an additional $1500. We said no. We already paid over $3000. This is a laundry room! He said I need to pick out different tile. I told him I was concerned now that I only have subfloor in the room w/staples or something sticking up which could injure my children or pets, & they left my washer & dryer in my kitchen. He said to come to store. I did. We picked out new tile and he said it was a rush. He could have it the next week and would have installer come before it arrived and would start the under layment & other stuff so it was ready & would be done by end of week. Then said not to worry about anything they would take care of it Even apply more of certificate to cover any overage of new tile and would not charge restocking fee for other tile. I was standing at the counter. He told me to go ahead & go they would take care of everything. So I did (this was Friday). I get call over the weekend from Kim telling me I owe more money & I have to sign off on it. I state how wrong and ridiculous this is, and I would talk to owner again on Monday. She then let’s me know either on Monday or Tuesday she has not even ordered the tile because I might get a different installer, and that I have to pay and sign before she will order it. Unbelievable! Emails back and forth we say just get our floors in do what they ask and have to wait until the following week to have the floor finished. We have had to push cabinet install and painter back because of floor. (Booked another month out now!) Kim sends email asking for $400 final payment. I state they still needs to finish the job. He never put the trim back up. She states that I told him to take it off and it was not something he should do according to the bid. Only to take off 1/4 round, and he won’t put it back tells me I can hire a carpenter to put it back up! They will credit me $72.00. I NEVER told anyone to take our trim off. Why would I tell him to take my trim off. So here we go again. I tell her & the owner in an email response I never said that. I had a conversation with them about this in the beginning. The installer also cut tile on our epoxy garage floor and ruined it. I sent them those pictures as well. Consumer fraud.

We were building a custom home, which looking back on it now, having lost years off my life, I maybe should have rethunk (entirely aware that that word lacks existence in the Oxford English Dictionary) the fact that I may not have as many years as Id like with my grandchildren. But, I digress.First, we had an amazing builder (Youre an idiot of you dont hire him--Keith DuShane/V2 Construction) who was more than willing to honor our request of staying local. I walked into Exceed, met by a very professional staff, who by the end of the project, I now consider friends. I feel sorry for them on that account. Bonnie Cosman is truly awesome to work with, along with Katelyn, and of course Haig and Hawley, the owners.Exceed was there for us every step of the way. They did our, tile, counter tops, hardwood flooring, carpeting, cabinetry and the coolest master bath sink ever. Their tile guy is, in the ever-lasting timeless catch phrase that defines my youth and resonates with me on a daily basis, Too Legit to Quit. Hes ballsout crazy talented. And their wood flooring guy--holy hells bells that guy was sent to Earth to perform for us mere mortals, having been blessed by the Gods of Woodworking. His name is Toby. Did I call him Toby Keith behind his back because I have no idea what his last name is? Definitely. Yet, he holds no likeness physically nor social/emotionally to a redneck country singer who may have coined the term merica. But, I digress.I have very specific tastes and ANY idea I came in with regardless if how unhinged it was, Haigs response was. Well see if we can make it work. Let me do some research. Some of my ideas didnt pan out because, well, they were ridiculous and Im sure the staff thought I should have been sent up river to live a lonely life with a pack of wolves, however, they held their tongues on that one. The staff always gave me alternatives and I ended up with a kick ass house and I got to work with kick ass people. Thank God they never actually kicked my ass, although, Im sure it may have been on their to-do in my head list.I appreciated their honesty about their products, as well. The original selection I had for kitchen flooring was batshit expensive, unbeknownst to us, and when the pricing came back...holy balls! (Ya know, if balls were holy). However, they were honest (not the balls...Exceed. Mind out of gutter, folks!) and didnt gloss it over. Haig was equally floored (no pun intended. Im not great with puns.)at the price and advised me in a different direction...a way to get the same look but with a different product.Each time I came in, they had ALL samples ready in organized piles on their design table, split up by rooms, so I knew exactly what everything looked like. I stayed past closing on many nights, no complaint on their end.There was one snafu about our kids bathroom, which, honestly, was a communication issue on both of our ends. They tried to meet me half way and we came to a reasonable conclusion.My father is a small business owner as well, so I know how important these reviews are, and it is very easy for people to only post negatively because they are in dire need of coffee or alcohol or anger management or Taco Bell.) I dont mince words and I would have no problem leaving a negative review if I had something negative to say. So, Im not going to mince words here--If you have problems working with these people, you need to do some self-reflection, couch time, a one-way ticket to Shrinksville, whatever floats your proverbial boat. Your family is silently thanking me right now...if you have family...otherwise, just people are thanking me.One additional comment...(maybe...well see how off course Ill get)--Your not shopping at Home Depot here people! These are knowledgeable design experts and because you get the benefit of that knowledge inserted in your brain matter, you may just have to pay for it. Gasp!Now go in peace. God is good. Or Yahweh. Or Buddha. Or one of the myriad of Hindu Gods. Not Satan...cant get on board with that one.
