I went this coffee shop almost 30 times so far. It takes too long to have a cup of coffee... about 20 minutes. Restroom is too dirty and only one available. Tables and chairs are way short of number of customers always... They need invest to provide better customer services.
Iced mint mojito 5/5Barista/staff 5/5Location/ParkingLocated pretty much in the center of Main Street Cupertino plaza. I came here around 11:30am on a Wednesday. It took a little while (~5-10 minutes) to find parking due to many other restaurants and shops in the area. But parking is free, just keep circling if you cant find a spot the first time around haha.Ordering experienceThere was no line when I arrived at Philz. Now during COVID, they just have you pay and inform a barista/staff member your drink up at the cashier at the same time rather than (before COVID) order your drink first with a barista and then walk over to the cashier then pay. I actually like this system better because its not confusing and you dont have to say your order twice. Not that saying your order twice is a big deal, but it can get confusing where the line to order is, where you pay for your drink, etc.The drinkThe iced mint mojito was made perfectly--sweet and creamy with almond milk---just how I love it! I have been going to Philz for 5+ years now and just never got around to reviewing them. I highly recommend giving this drink a try if you are unsure of what to get or dont really even like coffee... their iced mint mojito is sweet, delicious, and keeps you awake!Overall 5/5 - lovely location and nice staff!
Very nice personnel, great service. I was there for the first time, they gave an advice and explained different coffee choices in details. Pleasant atmosphere, good for working with a tasty cup of coffee.
Took 25 minutes to get my coffee⦠vibe was good though.
Got the βGod of Coffee β flavor! It was very nice and the ambience and staff were super nice! The barista actually asked for the spelling for my name when most ppl just assume and they always get it wrong!
This is a great coffee shop if you like pour over style coffee. If they served espresso and macchiato as well I would give them five stars.Quality and service are outstanding.
Love the unique coffee creations here. Tried the mint mojito coffee and it was so delicious!! Coming back here soon
Love Philz Coffee. This location is in a pretty square located amongst restaurants, shopping and hotels. Theres both indoor and outdoor seating. Seems like parking might be difficult in peak hours. Staff at this location were friendly and quick to get my order out. If you didnt already know, if you bring your own cup they take $1 off the price of your coffee. Breakfast options available
My favorite Philz in South Bay. Very consistent in the coffee and the service. Also they almost always have it ready within 10-15 minutes when ordering via the app. Others (looking at you Sunnyvale!) struggle to have it ready on time.
The ambiance was wonderful. It gave off a relaxed hipster vibe and was filled with sunlight. The coffee is very customized to order; however, our drinks were much too acidic, so we couldnt enjoy the fruity or nutty flavors in our coffee. My latte also wasnt made correctly. It tasted more like an americano with a splash of milk.
Really enjoyed their mint mojito iced coffee made by Irina. They are doing a great job by taking mobile orders and maximizing social distancing. Be aware that during this covid19 in May they tend to be busy and have ran out of ingredients way before closing. Nonetheless I liked the drink a lot and thankful they are staying open and being safe.
This a a very nice place to hang out with colleagues/friends. I like the philz rose coffee β€οΈ flowery and sweet, its the best.
Very friendly and cheerful staff.Great place to get some brewed coffees or specialty coffee. Most favorite is Iced mint mojito coffee. Itβs fresh and refreshing. You can pair it with the delicious and fresh blueberry muffin.Indoor seating is closed and maintaining the required protocols.
If your a rush, this is probably not a place you wanna go to get your morning cup of Joe. On two occasions I have gone in early in the morning when thereβs nobody around and no other customers and the staff are just sitting around talking and drinking coffee and I my order is not ready. Once I walk up then they proceed with making the order. So then I have to wait an additional 5 to 10 minutes than the estimated time when the order shouldβve been ready already. Iβll give a pass to anybody once but when it happens twice itβs a systems failure. Not coming here anymore.
I dont know how the off menu oatmeal cookie was a recommendation after I said I liked silken splendor and asked for something like that but was willing to try something different.Love the bustling environment. The outdoor lounge chairs are poorly designed and uncomfortable. Youd have to be pretty tall to sit in them comfortably.
Very busy with students and obviously very popular.Great choices of specialty blends of coffee and staff exceptionally personable.
First time at Philz; Iβve never met a barista as friendly as the one that helped me at this location π didnβt catch his name but he was very accommodating when I wanted to make a change to my beverage and he made me feel welcome even during a busy rush. Couldnβt find seating indoors so sat outside which was even better. Coffee is nutty and delicious!
Great coffee and muffins but as a first time customer it was a stressful experience. Make sure you read up on the menu ahead of time because it will frustrate your cashier. Personally I wouldnβt try it again due to lack of cordiality.
Great spot to go and visit with friends, fam or even yourself. Staff was very polite and helpful! Only thing is parking is not the easiest to find as the plaza is quite busy.
Cold Mint Mojito is perfect match with hot Summet time.
My first visit to a Philz Coffee location. It was a nice Sunday afternoon and the place was buzzing. Indoor sitting was closed due to covid-19 and there was a long queue to order and even longer to pick up. The staff was very polite and friendly. The coffee itself was really good. I got a medium roost and it was smooth and rich. Would highly recommend this place.
Always the best coffee. Service is always great; so friendly.
Great coffee and easy to customize drinks. A little pricey, but worth it.
So hard to order online! Why do I have to create an account and why I have to update app all the time?
Great cold brew on the menu!
We had philharmonic. Nice flavor.
The atmosphere is beautiful staff is not helpful. They dont accept cash. The online app closes early. Staff claims no responsibility for app, or corporate rules.I have had much better and different experiences at other philz for several years.... :(
I ordered a drink, the staff pretended she didnβt understand me and asked me again and again, while another staff understood me and finished the infinite loop. Given the limited choices on the menu and the fact that other people could understand, it looks like the staff was just giving me a hard time.
Philz has great quality of coffee and so many blends to choose from of all dark, medium and light varieties. But even more amazing to me is how inviting and friendly the baristas are. I have been a customer for many years and through interactions behind the bar have met so many supportive and kind people.
Tasty coffee and friendly staff
Loved the open store front for ordering and contactless pick-up! Another design perk is the outdoor seating around the building. People picking up orders and the employees did not need to come near the people eating/drinking with masks off.Coffee service was quick and the barista was helpful!Great place to get your pour over coffee!
I love Philz coffee and would usually give it 5 stars, but our encounter with a specific staff member here was terrible. Very condecending and rude to not only us, but other patrons as well. Perhaps he was having a bad day? Sure, we all have that, but i dont project my bad days on people around me.
Best coffee in the Bay Area.
Nice fancy coffeeI prefer more hard core coffee
Too many times getting half a cup of ice after asking very light ice.
I recommend Hot Chocolate βSweet and Creamyβ, and maybe with extra chocolate :) Mmmm so good! Using the Philz app is a way better way to order, than standing in line. It can get a little stressful finding seating, but there is a big area outside you can sit.
First time trying and I loved the whole thing. I had no idea Philz was a bar type coffee place. I really liked the design. I dont remember what I ordered but it was like iced hot chocolate, soooo good ! Will definetely go again. I guess its good for when the weather isnt too cold because then I rather have something hot.
Exceptional hot chocolate and wonderful friendly staff
I came here to grab a quick snack with coffee. This shop is prepared for social distancing and had two lines for pre-orders and walk-in. They do not allow people completely inside the shop so they only have one small entrance at the front doors to come order and grab drinks. Every employee is wearing a mask and practices hand washing and social distancing. They even have a small menu next to the register for you to view the drinks. If your looking for a bite to eat, they set up a visual display behind the register to show you what they have in stock. The lady at the register today was very kind and helped me pick a drink when I wanted to try something new. Will definitely come back again to try another new drink.
Great Coffee, as always. Large open area outside to sit down. Very safe.
Mint mojito as always, used to drive to SJSU for this craving, and it is nearby now. Ordered ahead using their apps before picking up. You can purchase on site, just gotta wait for longer time.
First time here. Loved their yummy coffee and reasonable price. Lots of people come here. Great customer service as well!
Very nice staff, nice coffee..
The gingersnap was soooo good here. Im hooked. I didnt expect it to be so delicious. Better than the mint mojito :)
Cashier gave me huge attitude for saying Regular size instead of Medium. He refused to ring me up until I corrected my mistake which he didnt even tell me was a mistake, I was extremely confused until my friend told me he wanted me to say medium. What a joke. Many places have small regular large others have small medium large its pretty much given that regular means medium.
I only put 4 stars because as a foreigner I did not understand the line and the drink. I was confused that in line you order you drink, go down to pay and then come back to grab your drink. Its fine but was a little confused. And then the drinks were really hand to understand. I ended up getting something I didnt like but that how it is in trying new thing. Overall live the shop very comfortable and the staff are helpful when you need it. Like were its located too. Great place to have coffee but if your new its will take you few time to find a coffee you like.
One of the best coffee shops Ive been to. They care about what they are doing and great respectable staff. Thanks for the great customer service
Absolutely love Philz coffee, great environment for getting work done and enjoying coffee. They have really great vegan options when it comes to food and non-dairy milk options as well.
Yum yum and yum! Good iced mint mojitos with friendly service.
I love the coffee but hate the ambience. My favorite for coffee to go, but I tried sitting there a few times and it is terrible... In this location and another. Too noisy, with both very loud music and people trying to talk over it.. definitely no noise dampers there. The seating is also cramped, and uncomfortable. Will stick to Starbucks from now on.
You cant beat Philz! Its top quality coffee served at its best, in for over form. I love the layout and as a mother of two toddlers I especially love the mobile order feature and parking spots 4 people running into grab something quickly. This allows me to actually get good coffee without having to totally unload my kids and wrangle them for 10 or 15 minutes in the cafe.
This is a great spot with a lot of seats for folks to study. Great Philz quality on the coffee too - yum!
No espresso and cappuccinos! Coffee is good for pour over standards though. Location is nice too.
The coffee is great.I love the creation in it, they really make the craft. The place was so so nice as well.. I love to be back here again.. Well done guys.
The barista who served me was so rude! she slammed the door at my face, did not even say sorry then she made my order wrong (did not follow instructions). Overall, horrible experience.
Brewed a cup at a time, the best coffee and experience you will have!
This Philz Coffee is in a Wonderful location at Cupertino Square. The outdoor seating lends a courtyard effect, so you can sit under a parasol and enjoy your coffee, chatting with a friend and feeling the cool breeze on a warm day. The service was a bit slow but its worth waiting for quality Philz Coffee. I enjoyed the silky smooth brew while playing a game of chess with my buddy.
Probably the best coffee Ive ever had.The Tesora blend is what I always get.It is a strong, bold blend so best not to drink it after 3pm or it will keep you awake till 3am!They label it as a medium blend but it is strong enough such that I only drink 1/2 of the cup per day.
Great coffee and service. My favorite is the ecstatic sweetened with cream. This blend is more concentrated than others because of its prep.
Good coffee, a touch overpriced
Came here for a decaf on a Friday evening. It was not busy but after placing my order the barista started jaw jacking with some friends and made their order even though they arrived after I had placed my order. Not cool.
This particular location can have a long line and slow service on weekends, which I suppose is not surprising. Still, keep in mind that you will have to wait to order and then pay for a period of time longer than other Philz locations.
In A Nutshell:-Wanted to check out the newest Philz in the SoBay.-Walked out disappointed. Please stop opening more Philz, especially when theres one 1 mile down the road.-If you do open one, please mimic the decor/atmosphere as the one in downtown San Jose. Good, warm vibes and rustic feel vs. these cookie cutter type of shops opening up nowadays.-The Greater Alarm did not taste up-to-standard. Im guessing since this place is still fairly new, the employees need to work on their skills.Overall, this location feels like youre in a greenhouse. I love natural light, but this building doesnt match the original feel of Philz. Too Hollywood, go back to your roots.
Very good coffee. Always order the mocha tesora. Its smooth and creamy. Parking early in the morning, not bad at all, but in the afternoon Its really bad, too many people, and some of them like to buy their stuff and consume it in their cars, so be ready to wait for a while.
Ive been to other Philz Coffee but this is the best one by far. Staff is friendly and service is fast
