Visited two times to buy a refrigerator. The first time I walked around trying to find help for a while and when I found help, it was very close to closing time. The gentleman did not want to help me. He was very busy and in a hurry to leave. Second visit was next day, many hours before closing, still no one to help me. Several other workers said they would get someone but no one came. In contrast 2 different Lowes stores, Fort O and Dalton were super helpful. I’m going to purchase it at Lowes since Home Depot is too busy to take my money.

The staff here are hit and miss. Sometimes you go and the people are so helpful and friendly. Sometime the person “helping” you has no clue how to do their job and is obviously annoyed by your presence. But the place is always clean and well stocked when I go.

Someone in marketing corners my wife and I in the store about a water survey. They say they are trying to help make local change in the Dalton water utilities. Sounds good to me, so I took the survey. A day later I get an email asking if someone can come test my water. Since they are trying to help push for change in the community, and said I’d get a $20 gift card, I agreed.This all turned out to be a lie. They got someone into our house under the guise of chivalry, but really wanted to sell us a RainSoft full house water filter for $7k, an outrageous price for that type of equipment. Homedepot gets a percent of the sale, which is why they are more than happy to lie to their customers to make a profit. To top it off, they never gave me the gift card. These guys are Corporate Commander total villains.EDIT:After complaining, I got the gift card. So Ive bumped up my review to 2 stars.

Theyve definitely showed up Lowes always having what I need and having more employees to help got to love the Big Orange home Depot if I ever need anything theres always an employee to help me to get what I need Im very appreciative that they care about us as individuals and that they love us were not just a number.

Love shopping here. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We take our little one to the Home Depot Childrens Work Shop the first Saturday in each month. She loves the wood working projects, and getting to meet new friends. We just love the entire workshop staff, they are really sweet to the kids, and their families. Thanks for offering this free workshop to the kids. We are so thankful, for an outing for the little one that does not base the fun on your ability to pay. Thanks for making our little one feel like she belongs.Always something new at the workshop. Not long before 🎅 comes to Home Depot, little one can hardly wait. During the Christmas Holidays they had 2 workshops. The first workshop we made a gingerbread house candy bowl, the second workshop we made a reindeer and sleigh candy bowl; they were both so cute and we used them thru the holiday season, and will use them every Christmas. Why not start a new tradition.

Love the garden center!!Got what was needed however due to the petroleum cyber crisis... prices are tripling!!! 😥Bought wood and some hingesOver $300...Lumber size are supposed to be 2×10 are actually 1&3/4 by 10 & half... aggravating to do extra work (hand saw) if the measurements needed are 10 pieces of 2x5sThe store shelves was full and alot of options to choose from.Again...LOVE the garden center!!Posted May 21.2021

Generally I have had good experiences with this location. Usually have what I need and do not run into the problem of not being to able to find an employee to help find something. I have talked to some truly knowledgeable people there.

I usually LOVE Home Depot, but I am disappointed today!I was scheduled to have my house measured for carpet. The only day available for my area is Tuesday, so I paid $35, arranged my schedule, and got on the list. I received a call on Tuesday morning confirming that contractor would arrive at 1pm to measure. The guy was a no show! No call. No answer when I tried to call him back.....super flakey and disrespectful of my time.At 2:15pm I phoned the store to cancel the measurement and request a refund. I was told that the (missed) appointment would be cancelled but that I would have to return to the store to receive my refund. I do not feel like I should have to drive back to the store for my refund since I am not returning a product.*The whole reason I had decided to go with Home Depot for the (more expensive) carpet install was because I thought the process would be more convenient than buying carpet locally and selecting an installer. Wrong!

Met someone who was waiting for over an hour for his piece of wood to be cut.

I came into the Dalton Georgia stores Shugart Rd. to purchase new exterior doors as well as storm doors, when I got to the department I seen a individual wearing a Home Depot uniform sitting at the computer in front of the door section as I started to ask them a question they seen me making eye contact and hurried off. I walked around trying to find anyone to help me for about a half hour before I eventually gave up and decided that I would give my business to someone else who wanted my money. I sincerely hope the next person that comes in doesn’t have issues like this or they will not have much follow up business.

Service in there Project Department at the Home Depot in Dalton is faster and better they come out quick to measure and install.. I live in Calhoun.

Sales people could be more be more knowledgeable with the products they sell. Cashier was more helpful than the guys working in the lumber department and knew she exactly what I was looking for.

Have visited home depot often lately doing some chores around the house and the service was extremely exceptional . The associated was quick to help me locate what I need and was able to get help..

I had an issue with obtaining our military discount. The customer service was very rude, rolling her eyes and sighing multiple times before pinching in roughly 5 keystrokes to correct the error. It was a $40+ savings. I was disappointed in this exchange however home depot will continue to get my patronage just hope they do better.

Customer service was practically non-existent. Finally found someone to ask for a certain product but, after walking all over the store, they didnt know where it was. After he left, a another customer showed me where it was. When I went to pay, the guy at customer service (there was no one there but me), he wouldnt take my money. Said I had to go back to the other registers - only one was open and there was a line for self check out. Will go to lowes or Ace if at all possible.

I asked for help from 3 different people.. first 2 would only tell me the number of the row.. the 3rd person was very aggravated that I asked him for help.. he did not know the information that I needed tried to get on his phone by that time they cut the lights off in the back and were telling me to get out. The only help I received was when they unlocked the door for me to get out of the building

I love it when I go in here and someone asks me if they can help me find something. The staff is polite and helpful and seems to know where everything is without having to hunt it themselves. Today I was looking for a particular type of light and the associate told me both areas (battery operated and electrical) to look in for what I needed. Store is also clean and well stocked.

I went in the store to find an item that I use on a daily basis, & was told that the only 2 that were listed as in stock were actually stolen, so a better product was picked out for me & the price was dropped by -$15.00. I am very satisfied & give great thanks to the employee!!

Try to buy a dryer and washing machine Saturday. I couldnt get any floor help. I would not recommend this home depot, to anyone!!!!

Found exactly what I wanted. And their saw was working and Lowes said theirs was torn up. Home Depot was able to make my cuts for.

Will never attempt to buy anything from here again. I came for fireplace maintenance materials and left highly disappointed. The customer service people that I ask for help was rude and sent me to an Ilse that had nothing to do with what ask about. They were having a conversation when I approached them and when I ask for help they acted like they got mad. They didnt have a clue of what they sell in the store or where it is. With service like this I can see why online retailers are knocking the box stores out of business. I went and found another employee and he didnt know either but at least he wasnt rude. Avoid this store if youre not sure where it is and if they stock it in store.

Great place friendly people

Staff are easy to find and are helpful. Theres some room for improvement in layout and merchandising. For the large products that require assembly, Id like to see either the boxes stored nearby or package measurements to determine if I can transport myself or if I need to arrange delivery. A minor inconvenience and not even worth a star on my review but certainly worth mentioning as an improvement requiring very little effort. Staff seem to be handling the pandemic well enough in spite of unruly customers.

I went to Home Depot this morning to get a weed eater. I waited patiently for help, while looking at the weed eater in front of me a sales clerk walked up. right in front of me with another customer, he never said excuse me or Ill be with you in a moment. I moved out of his way and continued to wait. He then walked over to the other customer and was discussing the weed eater so I started back over to look at the weed eater again .and by George he did it again. So I went to customer service and again I was ignored. I was just about ready to leave the store but I decided to see if I couldnt find somebody else to help me and I did he was a nice pleasant gentleman.I thought all my appliances there for years and Im really having thoughts about never coming back

Not a bad experience, but it’s says if your not told how to save up to $100 today then you would receive a free coke. I was not told and when I asked I was told it’s not offered for phone sales/contractors. I thought contractors made up a lot of sales for this company but what do I know. The sign was on the counter right in front of me at the pro desk so when I asked how do I not get my free coke. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!!!! When I asked the lady she seemed surprised that I asked. It seems as if they pick n choose who they give it to. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Customer service is very rude and unprofessional. I tried to get help ordering some outdoor cushions. The boy behind the counter got upset because I didnt know the SKU number of the cushion called the manager said he was uncomfortable speaking with me. Customer service is helping customers if that is not what your good at work somewhere else

It has been difficult to get anyone to help you at Home Depot for some time. However, I think theyre reaching a new low now. At least, it used to be when you finally found someone they would try to help you. Today I went there to get a key made. An employee was walking down the isle towards me. I asked him if he could make a key for me. Without even slowing down, he just said No and pointed back over his shoulder and added, Maybe he can help you. The only he I saw was all the way across the store. So, I walked down to that employee and asked him if he could make a key. Basically, the same thing happened again. He just said, No and kept walking and then almost as if and after thought he said, Go to register three they can probably find someone for you. Home Depot your customer service stinks!

Disappointed in the service from pro services. Being a contractor and new to the area they dont seem to know products. Specifically special order materials. Every time we purchase a large order problems arise quality of materials delivered. Things missing on deliveries. Just in general a poor experience. Attempted to purchase a window package for a home we are building. Went to see a millwork specialist and he sent us to the pro services. Pro was busy as can be and we waited an hour then went back to millwork and the specialist helped but didnt know his own products. Had to basically build and order on my own. Training is lacking in this store compared to other locations.

The garden center needs to stay open later... You have to walk too far to get your flowers out from the garden center to your car.

If you are military or ex military go to Lowes. I was told, if we have to order it you do not get your discount. This was told to me by the lady in charge of the appliance department. Lowes does not have this distinction.

I always get great customer service at Home Depot. The representatives are always very helpful and quite knowledgeable. Also, they know enough to answer my unintelligent questions about my home repairs. I highly recommend this location.

Terrible. Came to this store to buy a Cub cadet zero turn large purchase that shows online they have in stock for in-store pickup today went to lawn and garden to pay for it to find out they didnt have any ready for pickup they had 12 in the back on crates not assembled they called a guy in the back to ask if he could get one down and have it ready and the guy said yes I can have it ready in just a few minutes. Then I wasent to customer service to pay for it only to be told by the guy that said he is manager I would have to come back in 2 to 3 days to pick it up. Then the manager said well I might could have it ready in a hour but Im not sure if the guys back there are capable of assembling it. Now let me add this Im a contractor and I shop this Home Depot every day. So needless to say they lost a large sale today and I will not be back to this store to buy anything. I bought the mower I needed at Tractor supply I was in and out in 30 minutes with no problems and great customer service. Will not be back to this Home Depot store. I will take my business somewhere else. I will also pay off my home Depot credit card and shred it. Thanks!

Actually I didnt have a great experience, couldnt find associates hardly anywhere. Seen two associates in which were attending to other customers.. Went to a service desk to inquire about mosquito netting for canopies, and the young guy actually gave me directions through two double doors, all the way back to a corner that had absolutely nothing to do with mosquito netting or canopies for that matter.. My trip to home depot was actually pointless so I left and took my business elsewhere . Thanks home depot for absolutely nothing... I will be sure to not recommend your business and share this poor experience with others! BY THE WAY, THIS SPECIFIC LOCATION NEEDS TO BE CLEANED ALL THE WAY THROUGH IT.
