My wax specialist Liz is amazing. I’ve never had a bad wax with her. So as far as my wax goes it’s done well and Liz is very professional.

So I went today to this location as I just moved in the area. I was kind of nervous as I have had the same wax lady for 2 years and going to someone new is always a wonder but omg amazing. I read the reviews about what everyone was saying about who they go to at this location and I decided to go with Liz. She’s amazing!! My wax was painless. I’m so impressed. I recommend her over and over again! If anyone is looking to try a wax for the first time or even to make it a regular monthly thing definitely go see Liz!

I went today to get my eyebrows done since my usual place wasn’t open that early. I regret skipping out because the technician who did my eyebrows literally ripped my skin off. I was wondering why it hurt more than usual or why she was putting so much aloe Vera on it. I didn’t notice how bad it was until I got out to my car and it left me in tears. I was supposed to take graduation photos today as well and I’m not sure how I can even cover up how bad this is. I personally will not be returning to this establishment.

Elizabeth is the best!

Im a regular customer of EWC but this is my third time coming to this location and I had a horrible experience. I went for a Brazilian and I am a pretty hairy person. Usually if the hair is too long the stylist is suppose to trim the hair before the wax. However the stylist put the wax on without trimming then proceed to trim the hair while the wax was on because it was too hard to pull off. Not only that, she insisted that part of my bikini line was inner thigh instead. It is not and every single time I’ve been to EWC they take all of the bikini line. This never happened to me and the hair left over clearly is bikini line hair. I’m extremely upset because now I have to finish the service i paid for. It looks ridiculous and everyone I showed agreed.

I have been going to April for years now and have had a fabulous experience. She’s incredibly professional, skilled and caring. I feel the relationship you have with your wax professional is really important. April is someone I really trust and an awesome person as well!

I have been going to EWC for over a year now. I began getting bikini waxes and I highly recommend doing the wax pass. It is a lot of money but in the long run totally worth it. I go to April as a regular, and I absolutely love her! She does and amazing job and is super sweet. She walks you through everything she’s doing and makes sure that you walk out happy. Went to this place because April actually came into my job and I complimented her makeup. We got to talking and she told me she worked here and if I came in my first wax would be free! I decided to try it, and I was so pleased with how clean and professional the environment was. They never double dip the wax stick, and April made me feel relaxed all the way through my first bikini wax (doesn’t hurt that bad!!) I referred a friend as well who also loved it and got $10 added to my points account there! Will 100% be back for touch ups.

I love everyone at this location but I especially love Bianca. Bianca is not only a professional, talented and a wonderful artist at work but a real caring and compassionate heart. I started using Bianca about a year ago. Before Bianca I would go to anyone who was available. Now I only book with Bianca. And I always book a yearly package. Its not because the other girls are incompetent or bad. Its just that Bianca goes above and beyond to do the best possible job she can. My first experience with waxing wasnt a good one however when the European Wax center opened up, I decided to try them. The front staff was awesome. Very welcoming. April is my specialist and she made the whole experience as enjoyable as it could be. Her knowledge and positive, laid back attitude about skin care made her a pleasure to talk to. I love Kayla ( and the other ) but Kayla is my favorite. I unfortunately started going to a new waxing place in Brookfield CT on Federal Rd because not only are they cheaper but these women are trained a different way . They do smaller sections of hair so the pain is 0 to nothing for me . I’m so happy I decided to give them a try . Also, if you pay cash you’re not taxed . They don’t ask how much were gonna leave for a tip either . Anyone who is a human being will tip . I personally just think it’s rude to ask your customers if they are gonna tip and how much they wanna leave . This is the first business I have ever seen do that in my life . Months before I started going to this new waxing place a few friends of mine stopped going to this place because of the tip situation smh . You should really think about things like that because it could turn people off fast . Next You know you’re loosing customers due to that one thing .

First time here, appreciate that they offer the first time half off because if I paid the $50 I would be pretty upset. I received a full Brazilian wax today. The store was clean but the waxing rooms were very bright and they had loud music playing. I like more of a relaxing setting. They only use the hard wax, no strips. A lot of hair was missed, and I still had wax on me when I went to shower a few hours later. The miss that did my wax was professional and very nice. I did ask how long she has been waxing for she replied with three years so I was more disappointed at the job done. Dont think Ill be returning but worth a shot.Update: after the salon reaching out I decided to go back. the customer service I received was amazing. they got me in that afternoon because I was leaving for vacation. after the appointment I left very pleased. give this place a try.

I see April every time I go to EWC. I love girl talking with her while getting waxed, takes my mind off of it. April does a great job at shaping my uneven eyebrows. She has me take my glasses on and off to make sure they are perfect before I leave. I love going to see April! I always go to Elizabeth J. for all my waxing needs at EWC Danbury. Shes very friendly and always makes me feel welcome. I was looking for a new eyebrow esthetician and she gained my trust immediately by walking me through the process and making sure its what I wanted. Overall I always have a great experience when I see her!

Normally I go to Elizabeth and she is amazing! She is so informative and just all around wonderful. I highly recommend going to her! Unfortunately, I made the mistake to go to someone else since she wasn’t available. I can’t base this review off of one bad experience compared to my countless good ones. My waxer was extremely rough with me and I felt as if she was in some kind of bad mood and was taking it out on my skin. It was extremely painful and my skin was irritated more than it ever has been here. Once I got into my car that’s when I took the time to see that she basically didn’t do one of my eyebrows and missed a lot of stray hairs. So here’s what sums up my story; I should have waited for Elizabeth to do it right instead of taking someone else. And yes, I could have went back in and asked her to fix it but honestly? I didn’t want to go back to her and I will not ever go back to her. I’m writing this as warning to be careful of going to just anyone who is available. If you are comfortable with someone then don’t risk it like I did by going to a random one. If anyone hurts you or your experience is extremely painful then please say something or make them stop. It wasn’t until she was done (and after getting yelled at by my friends bc I paid $50 for pretty much nothing) that I realized I shouldn’t have to pay for a service like that. You’re paying for a service and you should be happy with it. I won’t name drop her because it’s my own fault for not standing up for myself. But on a positive note, I did fix my left eyebrow! Overall, this place is amazing and I love coming here. I won’t let one bad experience ruin my judgement :)

Anasia Guzman reassured me that I was in a safe place and that everything was going to be alright. Well, she was right. The staff is great!!!! I dont normally do reviews but I really had to do it for this place. The tech I saw name is Denise, she is so kind and gentle. I was so nervous and sweaty because of the other experiences Ive had at other wax centers and was anticipating a similar experience here but it was completely the opposite, the wax that is used is different and produce less pain, theres a treatment serum for ingrown hair that they put on right after they finish waxing, and exfoliating products to help prevent ingrown hair. Take my word for it, this is absolutely the best place to get wax done whether you are experienced or a beginner. Denise you are wonderful!! Laicey

This place has literally changed my life!!! I used to get regular wax...It was extremely painful and took forever. Once I found EWC in Danbury I will never go anywhere elseI’m in and out of here in now time and the waxing is barley a sting... hardly any pain!! I have been to a few different stores and this one was so lack luster as far as the front desk is concerned. The waxed I had was a joy and she really made my visit here a lot better than the other girls. The lady who answered my phone call seemed annoyed that I even called to come in! I figured maybe she was just having a bad day but when I went in for my appointment she was talking that way to another person on the phone too. And even the same checking another person out. She was so unenthusiastic it seemingly sucked the energy out of the room for myself and another woman waiting for her appointment. Im happy my waxer was so bubbly to make up for it.

So much turn over at these places. Every time I turn around there looking for new employees. Dislike the manager at this location

Ive been an absolutely loyal customer of EWC for quite a few years and THIS particular center by far has been one of the most clean and pleasant experiences I have ever had with this company, so much so I had to write my first review EVER!!! The star ratings arent kidding!!!! Ive only been lucky enough to visit this center a few times, each time a different waxer yet each experience nearly the same gentle treatment to my sensitive skin. Booking is so easy with my mobile app since I am on the move all the time, and to my dismay a glitch did happen my last visit but the receptionist was super kind about it, was still able to get me in in a timely fashion, made me laugh and passed the extra few waiting minutes much faster that way!! She even gave me some samples to take on my flight home to try! (I also have to note I fell in love with the product for the scent alone and went to visit my usual center at home to get the real deal!!) My waxer this last visit was not only very personable and sweet but extremely fast too!!! I assure you not one hair was left behind, she made sure of THAT!!Whether youre a returning customer or a new one, I have to highly recommend this particular center, I promise it will be a fantastic part of your waxing journey! One last note I must mention is the flexibility of the wax passes offered by this company, for those gals like me that are always looking to save a buck this is the company to do that with and maintaining your regimen is so easy and convenient with these passes!!!! And they can be used at every center, UM HELLO GORGEOUS ME!!!!!! 💋💋💋💋💋

I started going to EWC in January 2017. I was new to waxing at the time. I started seeing Anasia and have seen her ever since! She does an amazing job and makes you feel comfortable. Salon is clean, great with appointments, and exceptional customer service. The manager Samantha is always very helpful! Alexandra at the front desk is so sweet as well! :) I highly recommend this EWC!!

I’ve been coming to this EWC for about a year now and absolutely love it. Today my regular specialist was running late with her appointments so I was scheduled with April. No offense to my regular specialist.. but April was AMAZING. She was so sweet and laid back, I felt like I was chatting with a friend than getting a Brazilian wax. She was so gentle and very percise. This was the first time I didn’t have ANY sort of pain or sting during a visit. I definitely reccomend her and will schedule with her again!

This was my third time using EWC. The first two visits were great! Unfortunately this third visit was not like the previous. Due to time, I couldnt book with Krisztina, which meant I was open to anyone that was available. Leaving my appointment, I felt like I had been rushed. I had hair still visibly there, unlike my previous experience when I had an appointment with Krisztina. My advice, book with those that are being recommended. Have a waxer preference.

Ive had such an amazing experience! I went in to get my eyebrows done, and at first I was truly hesitant because, come on, its your BROWS! But when the waxer came out she was so nice and amazing! She has such a unique style and aura about her that I loved! This waxers name is ANASIA! She was so precise and helped me understand the importance of taking care of my skin! Not only did we talk brows and the all the steps she took to ensure they looked phenomenal, but she also educated me on my bikini area since I had an awful experience the first time with that, Ill be seeing her for my second time and I know for a fact it will be amazing! The atmosphere is great! The people who work here truly are amazing except for this waxer named Heidi. She was awful, she did not explain anything to me at all. I asked for another service to be done and she did it but I never paid for it so I figured it was on the house. When I saw another waxer I explained to her that I want the same things done again and she expressed to me that she will do it and just informing me it will be an additional charge. I explained to her that Heidi did not charge me. The waxer at the time apologized and informed me about the policy. Not onlyDid she inform me about the policy but she told me what I needed to do to exfoliate my skin, showing me these huge muscles that were attached to my follicles!!! I was so amused and I felt appreciated! This waxers name is Anasia! SHE IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST! So kind hearted and educated me on how I need to keep my skin feeling and looking better than ever! Anaisa gets 5 stars because thats all google will let me give her! But Heidi gets a negative ZERO!

I cant say enough good things about European Wax Center in Danbury. Although I did not have a great first time experience, Im glad I gave it a second shot. I was told that the waxer I previously had, Kathrine, was no longer with the company. So after my second time around, I had Bianca. She was amazing and I was still hairless after a week. She taught me why I was getting ingrowns, and taught me how to prevent them. I started the regimen with their products and saw a reduction of ingrowns and also hair growth. Im so happy I gave them a second chance. I have had other waxers too and they have all been amazing!Great place and staff. I recommend it and look for Bianca.

My beautician was far too rough with me. I got a Brazilian wax and was left with dark purple bruises along my bikini line, red bumps everywhere, and the entire area was painful to the touch for days. I have gotten a bikini wax before and did not have that experience. I emailed the location that day (Friday) and still (Tuesday night) have heard nothing back.

Im giving a low star rating for a day of service I was given a few weeks ago by Heidi. I normally was given Katherine whom I love but when she switched her hours, I was told last minute that Id be going to someone else. I was given Jessica which when I arrived just a few minutes before he appointment I was told was running 10 min late. I waited about 15 to find out that the other customer waiting was also waiting for Jessica. So I was given who was free which was Heidi because of not Id be waiting until only God knows when. I walked in with my cousin who was just running errands with me and she sat in the corner immediately Heidi tells me she has a trainee which was going to be watching. I thought ok if she has a trainee that means she must be great..... I was sadly mistaken. She asked me what I wanted and I told her what areas which included eyebrows.... She then tells me I dont have that many hairs so she wont do it.... I am paying for it so why not?!? I asked her well can you just do it and whats leftover you can tweeze.... She very rudely responds tweezing is not a service we offer..... How do you do eyebrows and not use a tweezer to clean up?!? So she proceeded to do the other areas. And I kid you not she chucks the mirror in my hand and says see if thats good enough? with attitude. I was so mad I said fine and walked out. As I leave she grabs a product from their display and goes to cashier she needs this. And walked to the back. I was so upset and angry that I waited all this time to get my services and I walked out the same way I walked it because she defiantly did not make any effort to remove any hair at all. She made the comment that it was too soon since my last appointment. I understand that a normal person can go every 4 weeks but I suffer from PCOS and unfortunately have to go every 2 weeks. Im glad I didnt start with Heidi or I would have never done a package. Thanks to Katherine who should be the one training your trainees because if they become like Heidi I can guarantee youll be losing a lot of customers. Either management needs to step in and fix her customer service or she needs to go. She was a waste of my time and money. I can guarantee you that of Katherine moved to another location shed be taking my business with her since I had such a horrible experience with who I was told was one of their top waxers. I didnt enjoy the service or the fact that she throws products on without asking first. I worked retail for almost 10 years thats not how you service customers or sell products.

Okay for a free wax. the woman at the front desk was so pushy with packages i did not want i may not return to avoid that situation again
