Did a great job installing an Alpine head unit on my 2007 Mustang with the Shaker sound system. Sounds great and looks as if it’s factory.

The radio and speakers were installed in good time but the the salesman said that i would have better sound and could hear the music better. We took a trip to Arkansas, could hardly hear the radio unless it was on level 22-26 for volume and then it was fuzzy. Very disappointing...

I had a Compustar alarm installed in my Excursion by these guys. They were professional with their service and installation. I recommend these guys for you car audio, video, and alarm needs.

Went in one morning to ask about radio for my vehicle and was told they would call me back in the afternoon when they found out details. No call back so I called next day and they told me they hadnt forgotten about me but hadnt got in touch with supplier yet. Never again heard from them!

Very disappointed! When I bought and had a stereo installed the staff was amazing.4 months later,I started having problems.As of now I have had it back 4 times,the first 2 times I was told it is my USB cord,after buying 4 new ones that wasnt it! I am hoping that contacting the BBB will help. The last they told me It works perfectly!but when the guy got in the car to show me it worked,it didnt so he just shrugged his shoulders,I said so I just have to live with it? He had no answer.Each time they fix it I have more problems. Now the stereo doesnt work at all while my phone is charging.

I was having issues pairing my phone to my radio and Kenny had it done in no time.

I dont live in the area. Walked in to test out speakers before heading home. They showed me some great speakers they were offering free install on did install same day ended up staying late to finish the job. The corrected several issues from another shop. System sounds much better. I couldnt thank them enough. The general manager is a great guy to talk to and is very knowledgeable.

First of all, I would like to apologize to California Customs for not writing this review sooner. I honestly thought I had praised them years ago on here.Ive done both the buy everything from them & scour the internet for best prices route. I have had 4 vehicles worked on here. Nothing extravagant, just basic head unit replacement, back-up camera install, and remote starters. No matter what the request, they are eager to please, professional, polite, and just people that you want to trust. The communication they provide is extremely welcome too. I told them I was never in any rush, take your time and get it done when you can. All that I ask is that you call me far enough in advance to make sure my wife can give me a ride.Oh, and the most recent install they did for me, I bought an amp physically too big for my truck and the location I wanted it installed. They called and explained the situation and gave me options to either do a custom install or a different amp. When I decided on the new amp, they made sure that I only bought one that met my needs; they didnt try to up-sell me or go overboard. And they were able to install it inside the dashboard so that it was completely hidden. Total win-win for me.It really is true what they tell you, you will save money buying everything from them because of the discount in labor they provide. Literally hundreds of dollars in savings. I know I am not going to waste my time searching online for low prices anymore. If they dont have the head unit you want in stock, they will order it.I honestly cannot say enough good things about this place. Their integrity impressed me and the ease at which it is to do business with them amazes me. I cant imagine getting better service elsewhere. If I ever need another install of anything in their repertoire, I am not even going to bother considering anyone else.

Great service ! We had a navigation and radio installed in our sons 1998 Nissan Maxima. It is perfect and looks like it was factory installed by Nissan. Works great and was installed perfect.

When I came to pick my car up they gave me a very in depth tutorial on the system and took theyre time do a really great job. They custom tune your system to your liking. Highly recommend! Tuesday 1/16/18 will be my second time taking my mustang GT (manual) in to figure out why the remote start is killing my battery. Never had an issue before i got the remote start. I hope they figure it out so i can leave a better review!

As president of Alcazar Innovations, I am always looking for top quality and innovative shops to work with us on innovative projects. I have visited the West Carlton and the Beavercreek shops and had the techs look at my project, write down my contact information and tell me that the owner will give me a call back.A week later, I havent heard back from the owner nor the shops. I suggest to others who are looking for innovative solutions and not just your basic sub/amp installs to look else where.

Knowledgeable staff. Owner was cool. They didnt give me everything I needed to I stall my sub though.

This is the laziest service I have ever received.I went in for a simple car radio install. I made an appointment and dropped my car (and the new radio) off when the store opened, as instructed, and after waiting for almost 7 hours, I was finally able to pick up my vehicle. Everything worked fine for the first day after the install. By the second day, the radio simply stopped turning on. I tried troubleshooting first before calling the store back and immediately noticed that the kit was loose and I could easily wiggle the kit and the radio around within the alotted space. I then called the store and explained the problem. Instead of immediately inquiring about when I could bring it in to fix the problem, they began criticizing the quality of my radio and saying that “it wouldn’t be the first time they had seen one stop working within a day or two”. They then said they would try to fix it in a few days but that it was probably just a bad radio.I decided to take everything apart myself because I was no longer interested in doing business with them. Once I could fully view the radio compartment, I noticed that only three out of the four screws were actually in place to secure the kit and no screws were in place to secure the radio itself into the kit. After removing the screws and looking at the back of the radio, the cables had simply fallen out of the power inlet, probably because it was moving around freely while I had been driving. After securing the cables, the radio turned on and was working fine. The shotty mechanic was nice enough to put the screws he was supposed to use for the installation back in the radio’s box. I reinstalled the radio correctly myself and it is now working fine. I paid $160 for bad service and unnecessary judgment from the store’s employees. Regardless of the quality of my radio, I am a paying customer and expect quality work. I paid to have only 3 out of the 6 necessary screws put in place for a proper installation and to have the inevitable problems following blamed on me. It’s safe to say that I will NEVER be doing business there again.

Great Service, Clean Install:Recently purchased a 2016 Honda Accord Sport and was more than a little unpleasantly surprised with the stock audio quality. Definitely need an upgrade.I tend to be more DIY, on most things. But, I wanted a professional to handle this one, because the car was only a week old, at the time.A rep I was speaking with at Best Buy actually recommded me to California Custom Sounds.Stopped in early morning, met Conner, kinda discussed what I was looking for: more than anything more clarity, and cleaner low end...but not a “crazy booming system” or anything. Just clean, clear, and punchy.Conner was knowledgeable and super easy to work with. We went through a couple speaker setups, rough budgets, and how far to go with a sub and amp. I wasn’t super into the idea of filling up my trunk with a big sub box... but I knew I needed something. We ended up going with an under-seat sub... and it was perfect, to my taste. More than enough clean low end, punchy, and best of all, takes up zero trunk space. We switched out all of the muddy stock speakers for Kenwood Excelons, which sound amazingly warm and clear, without destroying the budget.The install side went great also. They scheduled me in quickly, within the same week. Quick turnaround time. Also, the install looked great. We added component speakers up front, so those had to be custom cut in, as well as a knob to easily control the under-seat sub. The idea of someone cutting a hole for speakers in your brand new car door is slightly unsettling, lol... But, everything came out flawless. Looked like it has always been there.Knowledgeable, easy to work with, clean install. Good experience from start to finish... and the stereo sound amazing. Highly recommend.

I recently purchased a Toyota Sequoia to pull a boat. The Sequoia is a very large SUV. I needed a V-8 and four-wheel-drive. This thing will pass anything but a gas station. The stereo in the Sequoia was only OK, very dated. Toyota used nice JBL speakers, so I just needed a new powerhead. I went to California Customs purchased a very nice Kenwood with all the bells and whistles it sounds fantastic, they installed it while I waited in about one hour... I love it !!! This is the third stereo they have installed for me each time they did an excellent and professional job

I do all my own installations and they have always been very helpful. When I need parts or get stuck on somthing they take the time and explain what I need to do. Thanks alot guys
