Visited the Daytona Beach Store on South Atlantic Avenue, store was closed with employees inside talking at 8:21 p.m. the store wasnt supposed to be closed until 9 p.m. and the kids working just laughed and said they were closed. Sad that kids ruin peoples businesses, Im sure the owner doesnt know of this customer treatment.Reply to Owners response. ***There was no sign on the door that stated different hours, and the employees inside didnt have to laugh instead of letting us know the situation, since there were no other signs saying anything about different hours. We ended up going to I Love Sugar, much bigger store with a better variety anyways!! No worries!

I went here last week with my younger siblings to have something to do on a hot day. We had so much fun here, because the candy selection was perfect! My favorite thing there was the gummy penguins and my brothers loved the salt water taffy. The lady behind the desk was really kind, and we WILL be coming back. :)

SUPER COOL place! Delicious salt water taffy with tons of flavors, reasonably priced. Our favorite, however, are all the exotic flavor sodas!

If youre feeling adventurous definitely go here, hundreds of sodas and candy to choose from.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Unbelievably over priced, and only open when they feel like it. The staff person will literally be standing there at the counter with the door open and unlocked, and yell Were closed as you try to come in. What store is closed at 11:30am? Save your money and time and shop elsewhere.

Wow! Just the drink selection alone was unbelievable. They have any odd and peculiar drink anyone could imagine. I didnt buy anything, so I had no experience with an employee, but they seemed nice.

Went here with my husband and kids. Of course the kids were stoked about the large candy selection. Especially the sour candy. My husband and I are orange cream soda fans and try any new brands we come across. This place has a good selection as well as many other flavors. They were all organized by type of soda, so that made finding the orange cream convenient. Were just big kids at heart and this was a fun place to stop. The guy working there was really friendly and helpful as well!

Daytona Beach, Florida Rocket Fizz: If I could give it a zero (0) I would. We carried our grandchildren and some of their friends into the Daytona Beach store Thursday, July 23, 2020. The female clerk that was there was extremely rude and hateful to the children and adults. She also appeared to be either messed up on drugs or drunk. Every place we went told us how well behaved our children were and respectful. This female clerk told another employee that our kids were messing things up in the store. Whenever one of the children picked something up, they would put it back in the same place. We will be contacting management or corporate about this situation. We will NEVER go back there or recommend that particular store to anyone.

My daughter and I went today. The dreadful country music was BLARING and it was a real turn off. I couldnt concentrate and it ruined my experience. The prices are almost double of a regular candy store or grocery store. You pay for the atmosphere

This place has all the old timey and weird things you couldnt find in a regular store today. From the original Jones Soda to weird things like Mustard Soda and Bacon Soda. The staff is friendly and this is a great place for tourists, children and everyone in between.

Very interesting. It was fun seeing some of the candy you ate as a child that most convenient stores dont sell any more. Organized and clean. Four stars because customer service could have been better. There wasnt any one to greet you when you walked in. No one at the counter or to be seen in the store for at least 10-15 minutes after walking around the store. Finally two employees came out together to ring us up.

This was a pleasant surprise to find. All kinds of candy you havent seen in a long time or ever before. Plus a really large selection of sodas that are not just your big name brands but unique flavors. If youre from the north east and havent been able to find it, this is the place to get Birch Beer for example.

The guy Andy who works there is a gem !!!He gave me so much party inspiration... based on the products here . I’ll be back to pick up some of the sodas. Just was an authentically great customer service experience. He’s a great company rep.

Everytime we go to Daytona we have to come here... Its great for the whole family, my girls love the candy and especially the staff ( Lori is the absolute best) And for myself its like a time capsule to the 90s... We will be back... This was one of my favorite stores during my recent vacation to Daytona Beach. The guy working (I believe to be the owner/manager) was extremely helpful and answered numerous questions I had, which included giving me his recommendations. He was friendly and seemed to really enjoy working at this store. The store itself was full of excitement. There were numerous soda pops and candy throughout the entire store. Everything was neatly organized with close attention to detail.

First Rocket Fizz I ever went to was in Colorado, and I thought it was awesome. Saw this one and had to visit it too. Was not disappointed! So many cool candies and drinks to choose from. Some REALLY off the wall stuff in there. Just one of those places you have to visit to really appreciate.

Cute little store! Vast selection of weird soft drinks. A great candy selection & some other gag gift type items. They have some souvenir/decor items. Overall, we like going in here when in the area.

Now this place is for hold school and new school when it’s comes to candy, you don’t have to believe me just stop by when you are in the area

My family and I stopped in on our very short visit to the beach. We were passing through on our way home to New York. The selection of sodas was amazing! There were so many different candies, ranging from European, Asian, to our everyday standard candy. The music was throwback and I danced my way through. My mother in law found an Elvis photo for my father in law, who loves all things Elvis. Clean store, friendly staff. If we get back to Daytona, will visit again! Thank you ☺

Really cool and interesting place. Very vintage style soda shop; they sell all kinds of soda, candies, and fun little toys, as well as vintage style concert posters and fun wall signs. Fun place to visit if youre visiting Daytona Beach and walking around.

This is such a fun place for unique soda and candy! The person working at the cash register was very friendly and gave me some great recommendations for fun and unique sodas to try! I will definitely be back here again the next time Im in town.

Theres all kinds of crazy soda flavors and all of them are cheaper than a bottle of water by the shore. Theres a ton of candy and the prices arent inflated because of tourism, its really nice.

Fun and interesting place to visit. I think they have every different kind of pop there is. So many flavors to choose from, cotton candy, ginger beer, to cucumber!

This place had a great selection, lots of things you cant find at your typical store.

They offer one free piece of taffy, and my 17 year old son grabbed one and the old man from next door came over and said ONLY ONE PIECE very rudely, so my son put his back and we left. The rest of the staff was friendly.

Awesome shop really enjoy the theme of the place, also the selection is awesome you can walk around the store three times and still see something you didnt see before. Little pricy for some items but none the less you can get unique candy here and definitely worth a visit.

Rocket fizz is such a neat candy store! They have all sorts of candy and sodas that you cant get at one daytona. So while you are visiting beachside stop on in!

The owner apparently didnt like my 1 star rating with no written review so here is my horrible experience in this establishment.I am 100% sure it was not Johnny Rockets Hamburgers but in fact Rocket Fizz Candy Store. No confusion.I went in with my 8 year old as we explored all the shops at Oceanwalk on our last day in Daytona. She has a peanut allergy so we need to be extra careful with food especially candy. Ingredients, shared equipment, manufactured in same plant as peanuts. If she cant have something or we arent sure she doesnt eat it. No big deal to her as she understands her allergy can kill her.I inquired about the saltwater taffy before noticing the little signs above each bin. Unfortunately peanuts are in all the taffy which surprised me but oh well. I was humiliated by the response of the employee in which I asked. She told me if my child cant eat peanuts keep her out of candy stores and she wasnt going to stand there to look at every piece of candy to say its safe or not. I didnt ask her to do that!Needless to say we left, very overpriced as well. We went to the boardwalk after and had a great experience in a different store. Other than not being able to eat their fudge we found candy she could eat. The staff there were incredible as well.

The amount and kinds of sodas thet have is mind boggling bought a prank ranch flavored soda they have everything you could think of and more.

I went to Rocket Fizz 10 minutes before they closed. The doors were locked, and the worker would NOT let me and the kids in. The guy working was VERY rude about it too. I had some pretty upset kids. I dont recommend them. If you do decide to go, I would call first to see if they are actually letting people in, because they dont follow the posted hours.
