I love academy prices, and their store brand stuff is pretty good. However, this particular one has a lot of stock missing (covid?) And the clerk in the fishing section was not very knowledgeable. Bass pro has more knowledgeable staff.

Went in to grab some new fishing lures and had a great experience. I didnt have any brand or type that I was looking for in particular. The sales associate asked what I was looking for and then told me what he found to be working good lately. He was very polite and had great tips about local fishing spots! The store was also clean and well maintained. I highly recommend this Academy Sports. Ill be back for sure!

A great alternative to the typical sports stores I go to. I have never been to an Academy Sport before, and I was pleasantly surprised at the selection and prices. The offer to beat any local price by 5% and have plenty of stock. I went to browse and ended up leaving with several things. This may become my go-to for outdoor equipment!

Great sale today and was greeted at the front door by a team member who asked if I needed to be directed to a section of the store. This was just what I needed, where are the outside folding Chairs! Found just what I was looking for. If you are looking for ammo, they have a limit of 2 boxes per person per day and they seem to enforce this. The store was very clean!

One of my favorites. My grandson plays baseball so I buy some much needed merchandise there. Also love their Simply Southern t-shirts for me!!

Went in and bought a pair of sneakers less than Amazons price for the same pair.They are all white so I bought two pair.So nice to walk into a store where the people who work there are well trained to help you in any way..This store is really a pleasure with a staff that smiles and even check out at the register is pleasure and will be back again soon with my wife.

I purchased a firearm from this location. After the transaction at the front of the store I was escorted outside of the store like some kind of criminal. After that I was finally allowed to take physical control of the product I just bought. I recommend that Academy Sports not sell firearms. Especially if their policy dictates they must treat law abiding customers like second class citizens after the sale of a firearm. Will not buy anything from here again. Go to a local gun store or FL Gun Exchange instead.

We actually found leotards that fit my 1 year old and that was exciting to say the least. They had an amazing selection of everything. The staff was friendly and helpful!

Went to look for shoes. Ended up buying shoes and fishing gear. Had a great sale for fathers day. A new fishing pole is better than a tie or socks. I appreciate them as much as a new pole but I got a new pole for fathers day.

Excellent customer service! I was at the Daytona Beach store on 4/2/21 in search of a bat for my year six year old grandson. My son and daughter-in-law had been in the night before and couldnt find this particular bat, yet when they checked on the website it said they had one in stock. Floor associates, Tyler and Aaron, went out of their way to help me in search of the bat on the sales floor and even in the stock room, and eventually we asked for help from Dan, their team leader. I was so happy and surprised when they brought the bat to me, having found it on the clearance rack! So a big shout out and thank you to Tyler, Aaron and Dan! If it werent for them and their efforts I would have given up and Im so appreciative of their kindness and willingness to help! Wish they could have seen the smile on my grandsons face when he saw the bat! Priceless! :)

Purchased Gas caddy online and in store pickup was easy. Went in with wife to look at handguns and the staff was knowledgeable and helpful.

Average Academy Sports. Nothing stand out about this one really. Not bad. Not good.

Polite friendly helpful consistently great customer service unlike bass pro shops. Academy realizes in this age of economic issues every dollar counts and customer service is KEY. After shopping at Academy i will never ever go to bass pro shops again. Thank you Academy for raising the bar and keeping your staff customer friendly.

There is hope folks. I found a small selection of ammo on their shelves. Not what I needed though. I was in the area from Jacksonville and wanted to check here. Our stores are empty in Jacksonville. No ammo in over a year.

Masks are no longer required. Shopping was fast and easy. It should be noted that Academy did not price gouge in items that were in short supply during the pandemic.

I was looking for ammo and came across a handgun I wanted to take a look at, waited for 30 min while Troy was helping a customer. When that customer left, I asked to look at the handgun and he said “ can’t you see I’m doing a sale”. Then I left, can you say customer service!!! Don’t be a Troy and someone needs to talk to him about helping customers that are actually in the store at the time!

This safe has been nothing but a headache. Academy tried to ship FedEx; however, FedEx wouldn’t deliver, because it’s over their 150 pound limit. Academy then reordered for me and shipped via Este. I received the item in an ok cardboard box and signed for the delivery. Upon opening the box, I found hidden damage. I contacted Academy and advised that I wanted to keep the safe, but be reimbursed for the damage. I’ve had a hard time emailing pics. They are returned with a statement saying delivery timed out. Finally, I was able to upload via chat. Academy offered $25, but that doesn’t cover all the times I contacted them. This safe is not worth all the trouble. Everyone is nice, but no one is solving the problem in a easy and timely fashion.

Very disappointed in ammo selection. They sell multiple firearms and accessories, but only have about 4 different types of ammo to choose from. 3 types of shotgun shells, 1 type of 9mm, 1 type of 308 and there was only 1 other caliber without options. I use the term type loosely to mean manufacturer, and bullet type/weight. Virtually nothing for hunting, and next to nothing for target.

Stood at the gun counter 15 min never acknowledged. 3 people were behind the counter.

Picked up an item I ordered on line, the salesman was very helpful however there were 3 or 4 what appeared to be supervisors just standing around talking when there were several customers waiting to be taken care of it was as though they were above helping anyone. One lady wanted to purchase a purse for concealed carry of a firearm and since I am a retired Federal LEO and a firearms instructor I tried to help her as much as possible. She didnt like any of their items so I asked her if she had a notebook case and she said she did so I suggested she use that until she found what she was looking for she thanked me and left the department without purchasing anything.

The positive reviews must be fake. Staff is rude. Can’t get any help. Prices on the shelves NEVER match the item once you get up to the register. Last time there an employee in the isle scanned an item and told me $45. At the register it rung up $70! The store manager confirmed the story but would not honor the price. In short they’re so desperate for business that they violate florida law governing unfair and deceptive trade practices. I’m sure they’ll soon be chapter 13 anyway!

I personally love Academy Sports. It is my favorite place to go for camping clothing and supplies. The staff are friendly and mostly helpful. My experience during this time of Covid, however made me nervous. There were more people in the store without masks or with them hanging on their chin. I think if I need camping gear Ill stick to online ordering.

My daughter and I were just here. Everyone was wearing masks ( that’s the only reason they got 2 stars). We were at the pickup station where 3 people went in and out while we just stood there. No one said we will be with you in one minute. We just stood there for the longest time. The manager finally comes and yells at us for standing in the wrong place. ( we stood right on the line that said line forms here!)He was extremely rude and didn’t even wait on us. The girl who waited on us was also rude! I won’t be ordering from this store again! It’s called customer service for a reason !!

They didnt have the merchandise we were looking for. Did find an item marked as on sale, but when we got to the register, the price wasnt what the sale tag said. They had a lame excuse for the difference. Bottom line is, the shelf was mismarked and we didnt buy anything.

They get ammo on different days than they do back home so no pistol ammo today glad I went to cabelas yesterday they had bulk! Rm
