Cool stuff, I really like the local and quirky brands they carry. Bought a nice heavy store moniker hoody for what I thought was a very reasonable price for a surf shop. Staff was courteous and helpful; answered all our questions. Great little local flavor surf shop.

I arrived in Daytona only to find that I had left my suitcase full of my clothes and bathing suits back at my sisters house in South Carolina when we decided to make a weekend trip to Daytona Beach. Salty Dog Surf Shop had everything that I needed for the 3 days that I was there. I purchased pants, tops, and a swim suit. Incredible deals and a very helpful staff. Thank you for my making my weekend better than it would have been!

Awesome staff here. See them almost daily before paddling out. They do there best to find what I am looking for. I am glad this place is run by awesome people. Facility is clean and lined with historic boards here. The prices are competitive with other surf oriented shops around the area.

Rented wetsuits and board returned it at seven said they’re open till eight and they were closed!!

Best surf shop hands down!! The family that owns and runs the business is working in the store side by side with their employees daily. They are very kind people. Every time I’ve shopped here I always get a warm welcome and notice the employees work hard to make sure all of the customers are happy. One of their employees is a labradoodle named Salty! He’s the “Salty Dog” mascot!.. Oh and I almost forgot to mention the atmosphere is AWESOME with all the vintage surf boards hanging all about the store. It’s like no other store I’ve been to, totally original!! Thanks so much Salty Dog family for such a fun experience!!!

Typical Tourist Trap!! :(This place is such a ripoff..If you spend a minute or so on amazon or another website you will agree that they are overcharging for every single item in their store... Charging over $20 for a $5 T-shirt just because of the stupid logo they came up with?! I dont think so..save your money and go to a real store if you want quality clothes. I found items they have for over 50% less when I looked online. Its highway robbery!! They smile while emptying your wallet. Tourists are paying to keep this junky place in the armpit of town open because they dont know any better. Maui Nix is much better as far as knowledgeable staff, and cleanliness. And Mad Dog surf Shop up the road is smaller, but run by people who at least know the surfing industry. Nice try, but Im going to take my business elsewhere and I think readers of this review should as well. Just an opinion of someone who cares..and doesnt enjoy being ripped off!{>

Staff has always been friendly. Great variety of shirts ranging from adult to kids. Wish they had larger sizes in dresses but other thank that I love it. We always stop here when we come to visit.

I recently bought a surf board for my son. We went to salty dog for a leash and info. The lady behind the counter went out of her way to answer questions and to show us options. The owner of the store walked in and personally helped me and my son with answering all questions and in the whole conversation didnt try to sell one thing from his store and actually try to get us out of the store without spending any money. what a great owner. what a great store. I would recommend it to everybody and I cant wait to go back!

I first visited this surf shop in July of 2014 when I noticed that it had a cool-looking mascot character on the building and their sign. I also realized that this store mainly specializes in products for the surfing clientele, and their merchandise is better quality than a lot of the other souvenir shops in Daytona Beach, which seem more like tourist traps and have more of the tacky souvenirs that can be found anywhere else in Florida. On my first visit, I bought one of their T-shirts and an insulated drink mug, both of which had the Salty Dog mascot printed on them. I also visited this store again when I was in Daytona Beach last weekend (Nov. 8, 2015) and bought a couple more of their Salty Dog T-shirts, along with a can koozie and a keychain. During both of my visits to this store, the employees were very friendly.

Welcoming, clean and laid back atmosphere. Super overpriced tourist shop. Basic surfer boys working in the store with boards, gear, suits, sunglasses etc. Even the stickers/magnets were expensive.

Love Saltys! been shopping there since the early 80s. Great customer service, always has quality tshirts and surf stuff you may need. My family always looks forward to stopping in and getting their Salty shirt for the summer and I get my stickers. Making a collage of them.

I come to this Salty Dog shop every year to buy a pair of SPY sunglasses and I found out today that they no longer are selling them. If you take a look around the store you can see that SPY is still advertised everywhere, even on the outside. Im very disappointed they got rid of SPY sunglasses. I will not be shopping here anymore.

The workers there were VERY enthuastic and offered help once or twice while I was there. He helped me find the accessories I needed for my GoPro, as I was on vacation there and was looking for GoPro supplies.
