I was really excited to have knafe here. Iβm visiting from from Florida. I even ordered frozen to take with 4 large traysUnfortunately I ended up throwing them out because I found a dead roach in the one piece we decided to take with us . I am beyond disgusted. Really disappointed that people donβt take of their businessThe bathrooms are a dead give away of their cleanlinessNasty π€’
I visited the place a couple of days ago and ordered Konafa Fingers and asked the lady to warm them up. She declined and said that I can eat them cold. After insisting she agreed to warm them up by the microwave. The attitude was not that friendly. The taste was not good as it was still cold and needed some sweet water.
I bought a box full of assorted cookies, and let me tell you the worst texture, taste, and smell. Its probably the butter or oil they use but the cookies smelled old, texture was hard for the type of cookies I bought (petit fours), such a low quality cookies. wasted my time and money.
A delightful experience with the most amazing variety of fresh sweet bakes. Such a lovely welcome by our server, Khalil and for introducing us to new treats. It would be nice, however, to have the cake names with the tray of bakes. I was pleasantly surprised at how the sweet treats were packaged! A treat in itselfπ
Been shopping here for over 20 years. This bakery hands down beats all. I get pastries and send them to California for my father who used to live here. Very clean friendly and helpful. Always fresh food. Thank you for your great service over the years.
I ordered cakes and came to pick them up. I was told they would be ready by noon, since I told the chef I was coming from out of town. I ask for the cakes and the employee brings them out and places them on counter without a box. For the next 15 minutes the cakes were sitting there. I tried to pay and she said not now. I kept asking whats the hold up. She said they are out of boxes and he has to go up and get them.I asked to speak to the manager. She said hes not her and when I asked when hes coming in she said there is no manager and they havent had one in a long time. Im like what kinda store doesnt have a manager. He came back and put the half box on it and asked if I wanted it like that even though I said driving 4 hours home. My husband told him to put the other half of the box.I havent tasted the cakes but they are always the best. Om just disappointed with the poor service.
I lived in Dearborn for about 15 years and have been to many of the number of the Lebanese bakeries. The general consensus appears to be that Masri Sweets is the best and has the best selection. I would agree. There are a couple of places that are almost as good but none are better. Kunafa is excellent and worth trying. They are friendly and offer samples. I drive in from Ann Arbor a couple times a year because it is worth it....
So disappointed. I ordered a two-tier cake for my daughterβs baptism. I arrived to pick the cake up and was told it was never made because the power went out. When I inquired why no one called us before we took the time to drive over, I was obnoxiously told that itβs because they had no power. The employee was very rude and not even a little apologetic even though our event was starting in a couple hours. I wasnβt aware that people donβt have cellphones and canβt call their customers to tell them their order canβt be fulfilled. The order wasnβt even taken on a computer, it was on a slip of paper. They caused a lot of stress for me on a day that was supposed to be special. I had to drive around to grocery stores to find enough cake for my event and it looked terrible. I will never order from here again. Do not count on them if you have an occasion.
The best thing they have there is the Knafeh Nabulsea, the place is decent, could be cleaner and the service is somewhat slow. Most of the girls behind the counter have no knowledge of the items they sell! I asked for a brand of coffee that they are advertising on the digital screen inside the store and she didnt know what it was and she stated that they do NOT look at the screens (which are placed above the registers). No product training by management is a general trend in the community. Otherwise the Knafeh is to die for.
Great items and service. Youβll find a variety of sweets, from cakes and ice cream to plenty of Arab desserts. Theyβre not overly sweet either with just the right amount of everything. Only downside is that this place can get very very busy on a regular day, and for any special holidays, itβs unbelievably busy. They move quickly and provide numbers for waiting in line so it is more organized. My advice would be to call the night before and place in a phone order when you know a holiday is taking place. This way, you can walk in, pick up your order and save a lot of time.
I have been frequenting this place for 20 years, since they had their old location, and they never fail to leave me satisfied with their authentic Nablus style knafeh.. their cakes are also very moist and delicious !! π΅πΈ
Allow me to preface this review by saying the women who work here have always been friendly and offer exemplary customer service. With that being said, I had my first encounter with the male employee (40ish, short stature, Salt & Pepper hair) today. Im unsure of whether the way he treated me was because Im obviously American, my tattoos were showing, or simply because he wanted to serve his friends (who came in long after my arrival) first. In any case, I wouldnt recommend going here unless youre fine with being treated as though your money doesnt spend the same. And NO, this is not typical treatment in this area. I have lived here for a year, visited the area for the past 22 years. I have never been treated the way this man decided to treat me today. Im highly disappointed and quite frankly disgusted.
Good Kunafa with nice serve but make sure you order the ΩΨ§ΨΉΩ Ψ© fine Kunafa. Its good, I would stay away from Ψ΄ΨΩΩ kunfa. Make sure you eat it hot π₯Enjoy π π
Worse kunafa! You guys should know that every piece of sweets should represent your name! Dont serve the most authentic sweets like kunafa in such bad shape and taste even at the end of day!
STAY AWAY PEOPLE. I was getting sweet from them but completely changed not clean worst konafeh and sweets i ever tasted i dont know what kind of oil or ghee they used .ashta tasted sour and weird there is noooo normal tast in there sweet some of the sweets so old they reheated it . workers attitude miserable
I used to go almost every other day for their kunafah back in 2012/2013s but not any more..The current bald young man I think he is the owner or owner son is arrogant and lack good customer skills.. I would go to Shatila for wide varaity of pastries and their cakes/kunafah taste better.
We were disappointed in the quality of the knifes. It was not as we expected. It was so thin, the order small tray, put together will made one regular slice.
The place is great and the quality is good. But the staff is very rude. Not friendly at all.
I was visiting the area hoping for good quality Kunafa but instead I had bad Kunafa and the worst customer service ever. Rude staff who rush customers out of their way.
I am having a great day today I just received my order of mixed Mahmoud and Namora they are delicious thanks to all of you at Masri Sweet God bless
The best place to have sweets in America. Very friendly staff.
Their Kunafa is awesome, especially when its fresh out of the oven. But Im surprised not many people talk about their mini cakes. They have these assortment of mini cakes that are pretty great. My favorite is this spherical chocolate cake. Its awesome.
I had a terrible experience with them. I had ordered 12 days before eid and they had created a label for my package and never shipped. I called them on Eid day and they said oh it never shipped. I needed all party trays over the weekend and I had nothing. Then when they shipped and I did receive all of it was so stale!!! If you cannot handle the order shutdown the site so people donβt put any. Donβt cheat people by taking the order and the. Not fulfilling the order.
The best Arabic sweets in USA, the Best cake π°π ever, love it, everyone should go to Dearborn Michigan. And try it.
I have been a customer of Masri sweets for yearsI have had a lot of birthday, graduation even wedding cakes ordered from themBut this time, when i saw a cake i burst into a tears of happiness. The cake was soooo huge, decoration was so done perfectly and professionally and taste was amazingggMy all guests were asking where i got it from and they were all in love with itOther sweets were packed so nice that it took my breath awayAnd price, honestly, the best prive ever anywhereI am very satisfied with Masri Sweets and will definitely recomend it to anyone
Good place for cake & Sweets, but doesnt have coffee or tea
I donβt know what happened to this place, Iβm originally from Nablus and I like thier kunaffa, but last two times I had it there wasnβt good at all. Service was ok, the place is clean except the trash can was full.
Very busy for a good reason! The sweets are so delicious and are very reasonably priced. I will definitely return.
The atmosphere is really beautiful and the staff very helpful and nice but I have tried the kanafeh and the burma I was extremely disappointed especially that I am coming from Texas and heard so much good things about this location, anyways heres my opinion in regards to the Kanafah something was wrong with the cheese it smells really bad also the kanafah crust was way too thin and the burma was burnt and have no taste ( NOT EVEN CLOSE TO WHAT KANAFAH SHOULD TASTE LIKE ) for sure Im not coming back here again also I dont know if Im going to get sick from the couple of bites that I ate I will find out tomorrow.Extremely disappointed Masri you should pay attention to the quality and most importantly to your customers health.
I was Provided with terrible customer service by this young lady and I still showed her every form of respect. I felt like I was being targeted and I also told her that I was going to leave a bad review and she stated βI donβt care, leave us a bad reviewβ. Instead of being solution focused, she bursted out in rage and made me feel very un welcomed. Is this how you treat a loyal customer of 16 years?
I have shopped at this establishment in the recent past, and have always had good and prompt service. Their sweets are really second to none. If you want some of the best mid eastern sweets around, then this is the place to go to.
Very clean store! Theu have all the yummy desserts. If you are diabetic they offer sugar free desserts as well
I love their Sweets they were friendly best customer service ππ»
Worst customer service experience Ive seen from any business, hands down. My husband made an online order, well within the time frame for Eid delivery. We never received them. After several calls, they kept sending us around in circles, saying that the label was made but somehow the order was stolen and it was UPSs fault. The owner Khalil even admitted that it has happened before- the label was printed but was never actually sent by them. When my husband was on the phone with him, he was obviously not interested in fixing the problem and rushing to get off the phone. He actually said Its very busy in the store right now, call me back tomorrow with whatever you decide. Id give customer service an F-.DO NOT ORDER FROM MASRI SWEETS, save your time and money.
On their website they say they open at 8 am i drove down there based on that from novi area i was there at nine and that place was not even open.
Great service, friendly staff, but the kinfa was barely warm and burned on one side
Masri sweets is so welcoming. The staff always greets you with a smile and look forward to serve you. They will always answer your questions and introduce you to sweets that you donβt know. They are generous to give you samples to try out when you walk in. My favorite sweets spot.
Cheap cheap and very cheap. They used be good not anymore even the kanafi is not like before.cutomer serivice zero.
Really good pastries!!!! Fresh, and clean place to eat. Everything is good, soo much to choose from, youll have a hard time choosing. I wish I can tell you what we order, I cant pronounce anything there, I can only point out to what looks good and hope for the best... I HAVE NOT BEEN DISSAPOINTED YET!Everytime I try something new, I like it!
The sweet was nice, the people are so helpful
Ever since I found about Masri Sweets, they have been my go to for Baklava around Christmas. The wife loves their cheesecake. Service is always good and staff is very polite and helpful. They always send you off with a free sample of a pastry you didnt order.
BEST PLACE AND SERVICE SHOUTOUT TO FATMA BEST WORKER THERE!!!!
Ordered a cake in a few days in advance for my dads birthday. It was reasonably priced, looked and tasted excellent! It was exactly what I ordered, and ready on time. It was a hit with the whole family, who are already asking for their own birthday cakes to be ordered from here. Will definitely be ordering again!
Rose and Lydia were Fabulous they provide us with good service.
Is really a good place with a great service
My favorite place for Middle eastern sweets. Friendly staff, good selection of sweets, clean environment, spacious and well organized
Love the atmosphere as soon as you walk in. Desserts are not only yummy but beautiful. You almost dont want to eat them. Staff is super nice. Prices are fair.
This place used to be the best in Kunafa but they changed alot and they start making old and cold Kunafa sometimes. Specially before Ramadan they make alot of Kunafa and they freeze them so they dont run behind in Ramadan.
Food was good. They used to be better though.
I go I wait for a new batch of sweets and boom somebody they know (the manager) walks in 2 workers attend him and disregarded me like I wasnβt somebody thatβs coming there as a customer never will I walk in this place again get some better customer service.
Drove up from Cincinnati just for the Knafeh...best you can find ANYWHWRE! Such a warm and welcoming atmosphere, excellent customer service, very clean professional. Wonderful people! And of course, the food was DELICIOUS!!
The best sweets shop i have ever tried. I have been getting the baklava from them for a while, but last week i tried the hareesa/ namora.. its out of this world.. a must try for anyone who likes Mediterranean sweets
Very delicious sweets. Best in the area and great customer service. Thank you
Very good and satisfying
I am from Los Angeles but live in Lansing now and stopped at this place on my way back home. I tried a taste then had to pull over eat more of the pastries I got and write a review. The pastries are light and refreshing (a hard combo for sweets) the woman was so nice. If youre in Dearborn stop here its incredible you wont regret it!!
One of the best Middle eastern sweet place in the US.Masri sweets is very welcoming and their staff always greets you and look forward to serve you.
Best Kunafa in Dearborn.
Always delicious. Great customer service.
I dont know why should the workers have their face mask under their chin in the mid of the COVID19 PANDEMIC especially that there are signs saying that face mask are required. Guys, believe me, we are not interested in seeing your faces.
I love their kenafeh and this is *the spot* I recommend my friends to for it. They have do many other sweets as well, the staff has always been kind and generous. Thank you all!
Delicious knefΓ©h and very friendly staff
Iβve been here over 10 minutes no asked if I needed help! Never coming back again
Ive had sweets from here before, this was my first time actually visiting. Very clean place, everything is displayed nicely and most of all the sweets were very good. Would recommend.
Best place for sweets. Number 1 place for sure.
No one was properly wearing a mask. Funny the main employee refused to serve a customer without a mask and then that same employee took off his mask 2 minutes after because he was busy talking to customers and helping them. That s total ignorance. Also, it would help if you teach the employees what the desserts are. Asking what is this dessert and getting an i dont know answer is just unbelievable and tell me how careless the owners or managers are
After Iβve been helped, one of the staff started yelling at me with an attitude saying( SIR EXCUSE ME SIR SIR EXCUSE ME SIR SIRRRR EXCUSE ME SIRRRR) chill Iβm just looking for some cake, why are you yelling?
I just called to order a tray. βFor those kind of orders you have to come inβ. This is during the peak of COVID and theyβd rather you make your order in person and stay in the store around 20 other people for a half hour. They need to be reported to the state. I will never go there again. Never. The last time I went I made an order for Kanafa and the lady wanted to give me the burnt kanafa sitting around for hours. I asked for a new batch and she insisted the burned one is fine. βItβs just well doneβ. I insisted no. She said okay we canβt guarantee you a new batch until other people finish the current, burned one. I swear they run their business like theyβre overseas lol
If there is less than one star, Ill give it to them they are the worst.
We were visiting from Ohio. One of my friends called me to bring sweets from Marsi Sweets. Very nice place and good service. We went back again and picked up more baklava boxes for friends.
