Needed some simple plumbing parts and didnt feel like braving one of the giant stores and waiting in line for a 1/2 hour for a $2 part. Store was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Its a great store if you are good at navigating it to find what you want, otherwise go somewhere with better customer service . Employees are scarce and hard to find to get help. And when you get them they do exactly what you can do yourself, look and look and look, hey they may find it first, you never know lol.

The store was busy but it a Saturday afternoon. Thats is to be expected. Had great service with picking up my online order. Still a personal touch from the staff.

I went in looking for specific size screws. And they had everything I needed. And the hardware section was extremely organized and everything was in its place. I tried Home Depot first but they only had a minimal inventory and they had the wrong screws mixed in the wrong spots. Ace is definitely the place for specific hardware. Theyre a bit pricey but I was very pleased with my visit.

Usually get help when you need. May be young but theyre knowledgeable. Never up sell me, I like that. Close staff who work well together. If u want a large item, buy online & then just pull around to pick-up w/ I.D. & theyll load up for you. Great selection. Wish outdoor area had a greenhouse setup. Always ask if u think its not in store. May leave w/o seeing your item.

I love this place. I go here anytime I need something from the hardware. They are friendly, and know what they are talking about. Sometimes there is a long line to checkout, but it goes by quickly. Will go here any day over a big box store.

Came in 15 minutes before close, in a rush for some oak and apple wood for my smoker. I expected to annoy the employees with my late entrance, like you tend to get from any other store close to closing. The employees were all facing the store and making the store look nice for the next day, but still took the time to smile, say hello and ask me if i needed help.Super clean store with polite employees. Will definitely be doing more shopping here!

As I stood at the services counter today waiting for an associate to get something for me, I saw at least six people come up to the counter to have keys made. When the manager came over, she told each of the that the machine was down, no keys today. After the fifth or sixth person, I suggested that she should put a sign on the door. She said, Oh, we wouldnt want to do anything like that. Apparently, she would rather have customers come all the way into the store, wait at the counter to be helped, and then turn them away, unhappy with the experience.

The store has gone to great lengths to protect their customers from COVID-19 including:1. No more than 11 customers allowed in at a time2. No one allowed in without a mask3. All employees wear a mask4. Observe social distancingThere is one glaring exception—-an employee name of VAL who wears a bandana around her neck but will not cover her mouth or face. She does not practice social distancing and gets perturbed when her inappropriate behavior is brought up to her.Why is this allowed? She violating public health/CDC/State of Michigan/Dearborn guidelines.

One of the better hardware stores out there.Always friendly.They answer stupid questions politely. And since a good portion of their staff are women I have yet to encounter the male condescension that I have found at other hardware stores.The staff asks what you are trying to do in order to guide you to what you really need rather than just what you think you need. I always seem to buy more than I intended, but I have yet to buy something that I really didnt need in the long run. That is good salesmanship.Also, be on the lookout for their specials especially for stuff like SANDERS, pop and toilet paper which one does not normally associate with ACE.By the way, I drive past two other hardware stores in order to shop here.

Chase over at this location was extremely helpful with an online order I placed. He went above and beyond to help make the transaction as easy as possible. He even pulled the order as I was placing the order so that when my laborer arrived it would be ready with as little down time as possible (I cant tell you how many times the big box stores have failed in this area of customer service). Will definitely use this location again.

Great Lakes Ace Hardware in Dearborn, MI is similar to larger chain hardware stores, yet this store consistently provides friendly, courteous, and honest customer service. The Dearborn location has quality tools and products at good prices. Walking around you might be surprised at what is on sale and the very good prices one might find. Its quite amazing how well organized and clean the store is. Great Lakes Ace Hardware in Dearborn MI is in a class of its own. 10 stars but can only give 5.

Not like the Ad I that was there before this store came in! This use be the place to go for all ur Holiday decorations through out the year! Now Its boring to go in there..Everything was good people..manager..but just a boring store!Need to make it exciting again to come in and shop! Couldnt find anything for Christmas to by! Lights are minimal! Very boring!

What a great experience at this store!I came into the store to purchase a wheelbarrow. They had one left in the size I wanted but it was up on a display outside. An employee got it down for me, no problem. I paid and wheeled my new purchase out to my car where I proceeded to struggle to fit the wheelbarrow into my backseat. The employee who had helped me out earlier walked out to try to help. He couldnt get it to fit either so we walked back inside so I could exchange it. Instead the manager walked me and the Wheelbarrow back outside, took out some tools and took some of the parts off and was able to get it into my car. He explained how to get it back together since it can be a little tricky.Such fantastic customer service here! Ill come back time and time again.

Everything in the store was going good. The employees were great, they have a sign that says now hiring smiley faces yet the manager had no idea what smiley faces means nor did he know what good customer service is. I was purchasing something that was in the clearance section and it was listed for $2.65 however when they rang me up it rang up for $39.99 I told the guy I did not want the product. He said its okay we will correct the price. I said okay great, so the manager came and said no problem we will correct it for you, I said okay great. He then said actually NO I wont sell you that item, (with attitude)I asked why he changed his mind so quick? He said because I dont want to sell you that item for that price and then he walked away with the item. (I honestly think he wanted to purchase it for himself) but he didnt have to be so rude about it. It was so weird the way he ticked like a bipolar person. I mean Im still wondering why he did that. I dont care for the item it was a flashlight I have a million of them (was just buying it because the price)but its just bothering me why he acted like that. I guess Ill never know lol. Due to that reason I will not return to that store again. I almost walked out without buying anything I was gonna say I dont want anything anymore. But I didnt want the cashier to have to deal with calling the manager again to void everything out and most likely snapping at the cashier for no reason at all lol.
