I had a return and the whole process went nice and fast.

Found my husband an amazing cranking rod and me a spinner bait rod combo and lots of lures and accessories that we needed at AMAZING prices. Also every employee I encountered had amazing Customer service!!!

None of the employees were wearing masks. Right up in your face when you ask questions. Ask for help and they just point. Service is way under par. The selection is minimal. Only a few styles of shorts and unless are a medium or small you are out of luck on many of their items

Employees in the shoe department were carrying on a conversation with someone making no attempt to cover up the language they were using, never made any attempt or offer to help the entire time we were there or to even move out of the way when we were trying to get past them. We were eventually able to find most of what we needed for the kids soccer, but over all very disappointing.

Always great, the team members are very nice. From greeting you at the door with hello and how is your day. Always checking throughout the store and on the way out. I always get what I want and leave with a smile. Great job! Overall great shopping experience.

Been many times, normally well stocked except of course for ammo but I have found that here when I couldnt find it reasonably priced anywhere else. The employees have always been helpful and knew what theyre talking about.

I love Academy. Store is neat and clean. Its very easy to find what you are looking for. My most recent visit I was looking for golf shirts for work. I found a ladies one and a whole table of mens in many different colors. Both were on sale. 🌝

This place is huge, has everything you need for outdoors activities. There was several aisles of just camping stuff which is what I came in here for and found everything I needed, and some items were cheaper than online which is rare these days! Also their employees rock they are super helpful and friendly and take the stress out of planning your trip or whatever you are there for. My only complaint was that the bathroom could use some TLC, and it appears somebody had shoplifted as well. Otherwise great store!

10/10 recommend they have really good stuff... They have all types of equipment, cloths, shoes, fishing/hunting stuff, outdoor stuff, and all types of sporting things.. This is a really good place to shop...

My experience was stellar! I’ve been looking for sit on top kayaks for a month - Low inventory and messed up deliveries everywhere. I finally found some at this store and drove an hour and a half to pick them up. Thanks to Sanan for helping me find and buy them! She is high energy and a pleasure to work with. Brent and Blake helped us load them. I felt like their customer service was top-notch. Now it’s time to go kayaking! Thank you!!

First, customer service is non-existent in this store. Cant get help at the gun counter, footwear associates are too busy playing on their phones, and the restroom.....😳. Not a single manager on the floor to be found. The store was a complete disaster!!! Theres a reason why people have quit shopping there. Academy, you used to have such high standards, what happened??

Perfect curbside pickup. Had everything I wanted. Except. A hoodie in a certain color got a phone call from the store and she explained they was out. Asked if I would prefer a different color and got it took care of for me.

I have not been to Academy since last spring because of poor service. I just went online ordered a pair of shoes stated I could pick up at the store within the hour. I received a call from the store that they didn’t have my item and that it would be best if I canceled my order. That my money hadn’t been taken out of my account. I tried to cancel online but it kept freezing up. I called the corporate customer service waited on hold for over 30 minutes and then they cut my call off. I then called the Decatur store back and ask for a manager. The girl that answered said “ I’m a manager” she was short and rude with me . Said they would cancel my order and I would get a email or text when it was taken care of. I did receive it and it stated my money would not be back in my bank account until 7 business days. So isn’t that great!! Academy ruins a Christmas present for my daughter. And has not a second thought or concern for me . I tried to do the right thing order from home social distance for everyone’s safety and this is the thanks I get. I paid for an item last spring $ 700 and basically the same thing happened only difference is they didn’t have my purchased item so I had to buy a $100 higher item of the same kind. I guess you make so much money that I make no difference. So I am sure I won’t be missed. But very poor service and no compassion for taking someone’s money at Christmas.. Shoe selection seemed to be fair but selection (or rather the lack thereof) wide shoes for women is disappointing.

They have a great selection on some things. Theyve got to get their ammo stocked back up. They also gotta get their optics stocked back up. Nothing bad, great store.

They usually only have three or four registers open at a time but they are still very good at getting people through there as fast as possible and if they have to theyll open up more lanes unlike other places that do not care if you have to sit there for 45 minutes in line

My experience was fairly poor. they had marked shotgun shells wrong and swapped the case/box prices. they didn’t honor their mistake

OMG clean is onething but wow, when the smell of alcohol/cleaner is so strong a person cant breath you need to back off a bit. When someone has an asthma attack because they walk in your store, its a bit much.
