I got the olive and capers schmeer on a locally grown benne seed bagel and it was delicious. The area has a lot of great shops and views around as well. Ill definitely stop here anytime I come back to Decatur.

What a lovely spot for breakfast and coffee. Delicious bagels and smears. We also got a tomato galette which was amazing ($9 price wasnt obvious still very good).I went back for a pimento cheese and fried green tomatoes sandwich which was also good. The bacon is amazing.

Love love love these wood-fired bagels. Never had anything quite like it before and it’s refreshing to try a unique spin on a traditional bagel. The vegan cashew-based cream cheese is really good as well.

Subpar. The music was damaging and way too loud. I had a breakfast sandwich with egg and cheese. The roll was toasted but freezing cold. Don’t know how they accomplished that. Ordered an iced coffee and asked if they were refillable. The answer was yes but when I went to redeem, I was told there is a cost. The cashier got upset at me and walked away. There are other coffee shops on the area. The vibe here was off

UPDATED: We loved b-side since it opened! Went here either to eat in or pick up bagels every Sunday. However, we’ve noticed a decrease in the quality, presentation and service over the past few months. Lately, the service is slow even when no one is in there, the bagels will be falling apart or semi burnt but we chalked it up to them probably just being busier during the pandemic. Today, our pickup order consisted of literally charred bagels. We tried to call the shop for hours to notify them but to no avail... Not sure if it’s the new staff making the bagels or just laziness since it’s been a repeat thing. You clearly would’ve seen the charred bagels before just slapping on cream cheese and wrapping them up. They were inedible. Won’t be returning. Photos for reference.————————Love B-side bagels! So glad they opened up in Decatur as there’s no really good bagel spot nearby. We’ve been coming here every week since they opened. Remind us of NY bagels, soft, fluffy, light. They don’t feel heavy and dense like some of the other bagel places. Their sandwiches, bagels, veggie cream cheese and coffee is all on point. Jalapeño is my favorite. The inside is small but cute, casual, and quiet. The staff is friendly and quick with orders. Good place to meet up for a light Bfast or get some work done. Recommend!

I had one of the best breakfast sandwiches ever! The mayo added the right amount of tang and moisture. The dough on the roll and bagel were perfect. They have unique shmears such as goat cheese and peaches. Will definitely go here for breakfast again!

Visited this morning and we highly recommend it! My daughter and cousin had everything bagels, one toasted with butter and the other toasted with cream cheese - both said it was the BEST everything bagel they have ever had! I had the golden raisin toasted with butter - it melted in my mouth! We will definitely be back!

Nice little addition to the Deer & the Dove... coffee, wine and sandwiches. Their specialty is wood-fired bagels with your choice of a “schmear”.This morning I chose the “Morning Combo”- fried egg, cheese & sausage on a Kaiser roll with coffee. They serve Counter Culture coffee which, in my opinion, is one of the best coffees in Atlanta.Cool vibe in the heart of Decatur.

I went to b-side and got a sesame seed bagel with cream cheese and a cold brew coffee with almond milk. Both were great and i was happy to see that they are taking adequate covid precautions and not allowing dine in at this time. I was disappointed that their only vegan food option was hummus (who wants hummus on a bagel? And first thing in the morning?!) their pictures online show that they used to have a tofu thing but i guess they got rid of that. I thought they maybe they would have peanut butter, they didnt. I thought maybe their seasonal jam was vegan, it wasnt. Maybe they have avocado? No avocado either. So I had to go to dancing goats to get a vegan breakfast option for my sister. It was disappointing.

A bit pricey for the quality, benchmarking against bagels I’ve had in Brooklyn. The coffee is ok, the bagels are ok, but need a lot of work to get them to 4 stars or beyond. Cool place overall if you’re looking for a quick cup of coffee.

We got 2 sandwiches, hot coco and 2 drinks and paid $42, sandwiches was small did not come with any sides. Food was good but would not go back could had a whole meal for whole family for this price. I got fried bologna sandwich but it was not fried at all, not even sure what kind of meat it was didnt look like any bologna it was

Fabulous bagels and fantastic customer service!! They helped us organize a family bagel brunch. Everything was delicious! We had bagels, multiple schmears, smoked salmon, and apple butter. Amazing smoked salmon. Highly recommended.

Best bagels outside of Brooklyn.A bit smaller and less crispy shells than NYC bagels and I would appreciate a bit more variety in cream cheese. But, all things considered, these bagels are up with the best bagels I’ve had in Atlanta.

Wife and friend wanted to try this place for awhile since we all go to Agnes Scott. We were told that you could get two sizes for a hot chocolate. The 12 oz and a 16 oz. Wife and I chose 16. When we got our coffee it was in an 8 oz cup. The barista said they were simply told to give us a smaller cup and portion than what we thought we’d get and chalked it up to the managers rules. But didn’t feel the need to explain how I got HALF my hot chocolate. Then asked me what I wanted them to do. I found all of this very rude and confusing.The energy wasn’t even friendly if I’m being honest. Upon sitting down we were told that we’d have to leave in an hour, due to Covid. I rolled my eyes to this but okie. You see, our power went out due to the storm and a power line and tree fell on our house. We’re in college, we just wanted to charge our devices. The barista didn’t even ask if we were for here or to go and made everything to go. It was just a lot and I don’t see myself going back really. Just felt really out of place and unwanted. It was super awkward.Overpriced when other coffee shops and cafes can give you a better vibe, food, and less confusion.Having an employee ask me what I want them to do about something really had me thrown. I didn’t even know what to say. “ Find a solution maybe ?”.

My daughter just waited more than 30 minutes for a $7.00 bagel, and when she got it, it was burnt to a crisp. This is the first poor experience there, but I will hesitate to go back.

This is my second time here. My love for their breakfast sandwich is like Harley Quinn for hers in Birds of Prey. The sea salt bagel is no joke the best bagel I’ve had in my entire life! The staff are friendly and efficient and the whole vibe is so great. 10/10 would recommend. Probably going to become a regular spot on my mornings off!

FINALLY a bagel place to compete with dancing goats who always run out of bagels by around 10 am. The food and drinks are amazing!!! The problem... that the city will have to address now because a store like this (as a genuine great bagel place) highlights with outside seating... is how are we going to address the panhandlers and the overwhelming smell of urine at the MARTA entrance?

This is by far my favorite coffee shop in Decatur!I came in to pick up some coffee for a friend recovering from surgery, and the staff was super attentive and friendly. They helped me pick up a growler of coffee for my friend, and it brightened her day. I also appreciate the measures theyre doing to combat covid; No more than three people are allowed inside at once, and they provide options of call-ahead pickup ordering. I will definitely be back!

One of my favorite bagel places! Love the caramelized onion, jalapeño, and cheddar bagel with egg and cheese. Also love the benne seed with garlic and chive cream cheese. Good coffee and espresso drinks too.

I cant say enough about B-Side. The bagels and coffee are top notch. I personally love a fried egg on an everything bagel with an iced coffee. Ive also had some of the homemade sausage and it is hog quality.The staff is great. Its the BEST bagel in Georgia guaranteed. You can trust me, Im from New Jersey originally.

Coffee and bagels took 15 min to receive. Coffee was excellent, they brew Counter Culture and the barista knows how to make a cappuccino well. Bagels were fresh but the smears could be more generous.

Good coffee. Friendly staff. Nice amount of small bites to pick from. The space is attached to a restaurant so sometimes if they run out of space in the main restaurant, theyll start sitting folks in the coffee shop, which kinda kills the vibe, but that only happens after 6:30 pm on Friday and Saturday.

Full disclosure - I havent been here but called ahead to ask if they had any vegan baked goods which they said they do not. Please consider adding some to your offerings! (And not gluten free ones.) They have oat milk and almond milk non dairy options.

Between the rudeness and indifferece of the staff, our order being messed up twice, and then their audacity to ask us to pay them more even though they messed up our order I’d give them zero stars if I could. Additionally, I witnessed the staff be exceptionally rude to this very nice old couple. I will never return to this place and frankly if asked about it I will relay my experience to others.

Best bagels in the city. Ive been having breakfast here at least once a week for several months now and it never disappoints.

Good coffee, but the bagels were a bit tasteless, small and surprisingly expensive for what you got.By no means a bad bagel, but nothing special.Coffee however was on point. Well brewed, no acidity.

Friendly staff and quality beverages BUT they dont move the line with any efficiency. Not worth the wait. Particularly when they get your order wrong.

Coffee is great, location is fun, and the staff are friendly. The bagels seem more like rolls than bagels, though--I dont think theyre boiled before being wood-fired--and as a rough estimate, are about 30% smaller than a traditional bagel from spots like Gen Muir and Goldbergs (meaning your $7 breakfast sandwich will also be smaller).

Finally! A new bagel spot! Ive been wanting to try this place for a while and finally got a chance to go w/ the boyfriend on an early Saturday morning (they close at 3pm so be sure to catch it as early as you can).Located in downtown Decatur in the square, right across from the Marta station, B-side offers a nice charm and decor to it. I love dark green and it was def nicely color coordinated w/ a large black chalkboard that showed off their menu. I went for their everything bagel w/ smoked trout shmear, tomatoes and arugula (I wanted cucumbers initially but they were out) and the boyfriend also go an everything bagel with onion and chive shmear w/ bacon. Not going to lie, those bagels were pretty on point and that shmear was delicious. Although mine was a bit chewy (we always request for our bagels to be extra toasty to avoid that), the flavor of it was great. (They make all their bagels in house) Also, I think either they mistakenly gave me regular cream cheese or the trout shmear I had asked for tastes nothing like trout.I will say that they were busy enough to put the staff in the weeds. We had sat at the bar to enjoy our bagels and I can see the one girl by herself with prob 10 tickets in front of her. And of course, during the midst of all that, the fire alarm goes off. Kinda had to laugh it off at that point.I def plan on coming by again to try their other options and also to request for my bagel to be open faced (personal preference).
