I stopped by today to buy beer and scotch. I have spent $100 in the last 3 days. The cashier, an older gentleman, who could have been an owner, did not offer me a receipt. I simply asked him what the total was and he told me. As I was leaving, I let him know I worked close by and they were so convenient on my way home as I historically had to drive home and go to Publix and get my beer. I guess he thought I was some crazy person as his reply was “keep moving and pointed to the front door. I will never do business there again.

The best customer service in Decatur--and a rich inventory of products that the big box stores cant match--even though they have more shelf space. Register for an Ace account, download the app, and you will get frequent $5 and $10 off coupons for your purchases. Good covid protocols in place. I bought a suet cage and suet cakes here, both at good prices, and have been attracting woodpeckers and nuthatches ever since!

DPS has a decent-sized and high quality selection of liquors. The beer selection is small compared to mega liquor stores, and even some grocery stores; but, what they offer at DPS is solid, nonetheless. The staff is very knowledgeable about their products. I like shopping here more than the mega stores, even if they dont have all of the selection that those big stores offer.

I always feel welcomed and the staff is so helpful. If they know your tastes, they will stick it and if they dont have it, give you good alternatives. Though they maybe a few cents more expensive, I say its worth it. Good people, good selection, good location.

Ive been a customer of DPS for many years, and they have always had excellent service, decent prices and a knowledgeable, friendly staff. What really blew me away recently is how theyre handling safety for customers and employees during the COVID-19 Pandemic. I had a hankering for a Pimms Cup so I made a stop on my supply run and was happy to see the precautions theyve taken. Employees were wearing masks properly and had gloves on. Customers are asked to wait outside the store and tell a clerk what theyd like to buy. Payment is handled very well, as they have signs up asking customers not to touch the card reader and to only touch our cards. The clerk holds the card reader on a table at the door and you just insert your card and its done! Then the clerk sanitizes the table and the card reader for the next customer. Very well done! Its phenomenal to see a business taking these extra precautions to protect their employees and customers.

The best selection and the most helpful employees around! They have helped me locate rare bottles, provided kegs for events, and always take their time to answer any and all questions I might have. At my house, we keep a nicely stocked bar and beer fridge, all of it comes from Decatur Package. Their customer service is simply exemplary.

The building itself deserves exterior and interior upgrades, as it feels like a converted pizza hut or something. This place knows their product and customers well.

In a time when premium bourbons are reserved by owners for loyal customers, you cant get a single bottle out of these guys. They are all donated to a charity dinner that costs $200/person then you might have the chance to acquire one at secondary pricing. For years I have been a loyal customer and spent thousands of dollars here, I will now be going to other local shops.

One of the best stores in metro Atlanta, Herb has curated an incredible selection that ranges from hard to find Amaro and every bitter imaginable to major brands at great prices. He always has a few single barrel items available too, I’ve seen multiple bourbons, tequila and even a rum! If you can’t find what you’re looking for here it probably doesn’t or shouldn’t exist.

When I think of liquor stores this is the place that I think of: neon sale signs with hand written sale prices, boxes of liquor stacked up and used as shelves for the liquor, beer, mixers, cigarettes. That being said, they have very competitive pricing and a great selection of liquor. The only think I wished was that they start carrying 12 pack cokes so that I dont have to go to Publix to make Jack & Cokes. But overall cool place, this will be my liquor store from now on.

I went to this location for the first time today, and I can say that from here on Decatur Package Store will be my one and only stop. When I walked in and looked around, someone approached me and asked if I needed any help finding something. Not only did I find what I was looking for, a good stout beer, but I was sold on a few other things too. Their store might seem small on the outside at first, but their shelves are full of all sorts of stuff. Whether its the usual liquor, or local brewed beers, or microbrews and other beers you wont find anywhere else... this is the place to be. Management and staff are kind without being badgering, and that alone makes me want to come back. Glad its not too far from home!
