I do my best to support small business more than most Im sure especially ones like this and almost 100% of the time paying well over what I would have paid going to a big box store or going online which is fine I do that to support small business. This is why small business is dying small retail especially if you dont want to be a thing of the past or maybe just a museum one day then youre going to have to swallow some of that ego and pretentious attitude and just help someone you dont know someone you dont rub elbows with at the church luncheon or whatever...

Big store with lots of stuff for any type of music enthusiast. Bought a guitar with some extras and will go back for other stuff. Staff extremely helpful. If youre into band or getting into music, pay this place a visit. Good inventory for guitar and other instruments included.

My brother came down from Tennessee to visit and took me in here and suprised me by purchasing me an electric guitar, amplifier, and everything I needed to get started learning how to play guitar. The store has just about everything you need and the staff are very friendly and seem to know a lot about music supplies and accessories. Overall, was a great experience for the first time being in there and we came in close to their closing time but they werent trying to rush customers out of their store. Would recommend and come back again for anything else I need.

Great store friendly staff. I took my Telecaster (homemade) in for fine tuning, they didnt blink an eye will get it back Wed.Meanwhile they let me play everything in the rack, some very expensive guitars at that. I feral in love with a Guild acoustic

Owner was very helpful and I am waiting to see if he can get a used instrument in for me but if not he offers a heavy discount for school band purchases that make the price very reasonable for brand new

There use to be a guy named Jason who pretty much ran this store a couple of years ago. He was great, always kept new guitar models coming in and kept up their facebook status as far as their new gear. Now....well its a shell of what it use to be. They have a very poor selection, and pretty much only fender electrics, amps and acoustics. They have old models that have been hanging on the racks for years. They never have sales or markdowns and even though they claim to carry Guild guitars...they have 1. The older lady here is very nice but the older gentleman isnt very eager to help and does not particularly know much. Its just a shame that the selection and knowledge went away with Jason. Decatur desperately needs a new music store

Theres one guy there (Chet ? Chester?) who is really nice. The older gentleman comes across like hed rather be in his office or something rather than dealing with the public. Seems he cant keep young and talented help either, which may also be a result of his extremely unapproachable personality. I agree with the other reviewer ... Decatur needs another music store.Its music for crying out loud ... the atmosphere does not lend itself to the encouragement of instrument try out. It always seems so cold and uninviting. Not to mention that the selection is poor. No used instruments either.
