Took my car into Oxford Automotive in Delaware today for $35 oil change, and tire rotation. I guess the windshield washer fluid doesn’t get topped off for that price!Before leaving they tired to talk me into another $600 worth of service that my car didn’t even need. They said my car needed a transmission fluid change, brake fluid change, radiator flush, and cabin / air filters changed at the next oil change. My car has around 76k miles on it. I got home and immediately called Toyota and they informed me those items don’t need replaced until 100k miles, not 60k like I was told.I was then quoted $181 to replace the cabin and air filter on my car during my next service. I can buy these filters for $30 and replace them in 10 minutes tops. It’s cheaper to have them replaced at Toyota dealership. I realize you are in business to make money but there’s making money and gouging folks. My current air filter looks pretty dang clean if you ask me.I was hoping to support a local business but was sorely disappointed.EDIT: Spoke to James at Oxford and he said that he would take my feedback and use it to improve their processes. Moving this from two stars to four. Will be back for additional service.

I went to Oxford Automotive for an oil change, tire rotation and new wiper blades. When they checked my oil they found it to be full and looked good. They informed me I did not need an oil change at this time. They did put the new wipers blades on and the cost for that was great! Being a female a lot of automotive shops like to try to take advantage of me. But Oxford Automotive did not do this! They were honest and respectful. They are now my new automotive service!!!!

Service was very professional and best price in town! I had an oil change but they went above and beyond! They checked my car from bumper to bumper and told me what repairs are needed, explaining everything to me! Atmosphere is wonderful! I felt welcomed and at ease during the entire process. They were also very efficient and I was finished in record time! I would highly recommend Oxford Automotive for all service!

I took my Jeep in for a sunroof repair and blower motor bearings repair at the end of May. It took them over a week to fix because the dealership that had the parts I needed kept delaying the delivery date of those parts. Issues were fixed but they accidentally tore off the felt cover where they were working and it was just dangling there. I called them about a month later because I didnt notice the felt was ripped until I hit a bump and it just popped out. I asked if they could look at another water leak that I thought had something to do with the sunroof (it didnt) and I wanted them to fix the torn felt. At the time they didnt have a rental car available so I had to wait. 2 1)2-3 weeks later,I havent heard a word back from them. I actually had to call them after not hearing from them for a week. Apparently they are too busy to call their customers or email them about whatever issues they are having. I finally did the work myself! Im not going to sit here and wait a month until my car can get looked at again especially if the repairs that needed done were caused by them. I only gave them 3 stars because of how nice everyone was. Work done in a timely manner is definitely not one of their strong characteristics.

Everyone from the office, front desk, to the technicians are professional, kind and take time to explain things. Things are done in a timely manner. I had to leave my car there and they had a loaner for me. I thought I would not get a call till afternoon and got it around 12-12:30. I HIGHLY recommend Oxford Automotive!!!

This was my first time using Oxford Automotive, and I am so glad we chose them. I bought my daughter her first car two weeks ago from a dealership in Galloway, and less than 3 days later it started having multiple issues. After spending more than a week trying to contact the dealership with no response, we contacted Oxford Automotive at the Delaware location. I spoke to Christian, who was extremely pleasant and took the time to explain the process of what would happen when I brought the car in. As soon as they had a loaner vehicle available for me to use while ours was being repaired, they had their employee Gordon come pick me up with it at my house, so my husband did not have to go out of his way. Gordon was so friendly, and the bright spot of my day. After they had completed the initial diagnostics, they sent a full report thru both email and text messages, along with photos. Christian called and walked me thru everything, and let me know exactly what was happening and how much each repair would be. When I picked up the vehicle today, they even stopped me before I used my credit card to tell me the had a $100/off coupon! If I hadnt already felt that they were trustworthy, honest, and really looking out for their customers- I had no doubt after that. It would have been something I would never have known about, and an extra $100 in their pocket. I really cannot express how grateful I am to have had such a nice experience with Oxford, and how appreciated I feel as a customer. I would absolutely recommend them, and will be a loyal customer. Thank you guys so much- my daughter is over the moon to have her car back!

It’s always hard to know who to trust when it comes to my vehicle. And one of my pet peeves is when mechanics treat us laypeople condescendingly. But the professionals at Oxford are fantastic. Not only were they easy to communicate with, they helped get our car back to perfect working order. Couldn’t be happier and we now have a place to take all our cars and can leave them with confidence that they will be well cared for at a good price.

Beware of the pitfalls of installing a used engine!Before I get started with my review, know 4 things1) Im leaving this review because I find reviews to be useful2) I think Oxford Automotive is an honest shop and tries to provide quality service3) I learned that putting a used engine in your car is risky. Unfortunately a rebuilt or remanufactured engine was not available.4) The job would have gone a lot smoother if not for a young inexperienced service tech that is no longer with Oxford. He was a nice guy but IMHO incompetent and misleading. The job took Oxford 7 weeks after the used engine he procured for the job turned out to be junk. To Oxfords credit, they fired the service tech and purchased a second engine. (Maybe he quit, but I think more likely he was let go.)My review of the used engine installation in my 1997 Volvo 9601) Hood release - Initially had a problem getting the hood to open on the engine compartment. The release would not work and it took me a half hour to get it open. After another hour, I was able to figure out how to adjust things so the hood would open like it did before.2) Vacuum line - The vacuum line to the air pump is routed over top the engine and exhaust manifold. I plan to replace it with a longer line that goes around the engine as done originally.3) The most worrisome issue is the used engine itself. There is ticking noise in the top end of the engine. ****listen to attached video.****Probably a valve lifter. Unable to determine how serious an issue without tearing the engine down. The engine supposedly had only 60k miles on it although there is no documentation on this. Luckily the passenger cabin is well insulated and the engine noise is not that noticeable except occasionally at traffic lights. I use the old humorous advice of Tom and Ray Magliozzi (Car Talk) and turn up the radio volume.4) There is significant exhaust noise in the engine compartment due to the exhaust manifold being cracked and not well seated on the engine. The manifold was probably cracked prior to Oxfords work.5) Cost, quality of work, expected life, warranty - Im fairly satisfied with the cost of the job and Oxfords installation with the couple of exceptions mentioned. Just wish Oxford had been able to find a better used engine. Understand a used engine is a used engine and its quality was not entirely under Oxfords control. Hoping the engine will be good for 100k miles but not terribly optimistic. Oxford does provided a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty which is a good thing.

They go beyond and above to make you happy more than any other repair shop I have been to...they are really nice people!

Great customer service, great prices, great people! I like everything about Oxford. They are honest and transparent about what needs done to your car and dont try to upsell you on needless repairs. My car feels like a different car after the repairs!

My car was having problems with the coolant system and was under warranty with Carmax and they could not get it in for a couple of weeks, so they suggested Oxford Automotive because they used the same warranty as Carmax. I called and they had an opening with a few days and they discovered more maintenance problems with the car than just the coolant system. I have had the car over 4 years and have been very lax in have general maintenance done on this vehicle so it was no surprise that the brakes, shocks, spark plugs, and air filter needed replaced. Had I kept up on the general maintenance over the years I would not have had to do all of this at once but Oxford did not make me feel bad about being a horrible car owner. They just fixed the car for me and charged as much as they possibly could to the warranty on the car so my out of pocket was not that much. They are the best. I would definitely go to them again.

I took my car to Oxford for an ongoing problem. Over the course of 2 years I took it to 4 other places and nobody could diagnose the problem. It kept getting worse and after the last round of costly repairs that did not fix the problem I took it to Oxford. They were able to find the problem and fix it. The last place to look at my car determined that although they didn’t know what was wrong it was safe to drive. The team at Oxford found one safety issue as well. I am so grateful for the team at Oxford. They provided an estimate that included photos. I could log in to view it and authorize services directly from phone. It was very convenient and the customer service was too notch. I don’t leave reviews often but I can’t say enough good things about Oxford.

While camping nearby, my window regulator failed. With a rainstorm coming, I Googled nearby repair and was fortunate to find Oxford. They were quick and courteous, even finding and performing preventive maintenance that saved me from future problems. With the loaner car I was able to get back to camp without missing a roasted marshmallow! Thank you Oxford!

Oxford’s been my “go-to” shop for maintenance and repair for a long time and I am inclined to go nowhere else with my car. They are dependable, honest to a fault, and just plain pleasant to know and trust. Their advice hasalways been spot-on with my old Jeep as well as our newer SUV. Never have I had a problem with their service. That’s why I drive nearly into Morrow County from Galena to their shop!

I would absolutely use their service again. I knew some things were wrong but I drove up from Florida and had no coolant left by the time I got to Ohio. There was a plastic tea with metal lines coming off of it by the firewall that was cracked and caused a big leak, they also replaced a battery because it had the wrong size battery in it, the front right cv shaft was leaking grease, the brake fluid was dark and needed to be flushed and an oil change. They were wonderful and I got my car back the next day. Very polite and respectful and called me often with updates. Thank you so much guys. I really appreciate it!

As the new owners of a Leisure Travel Van RV on the Mercedes-Benz Diesel Sprinter 3500 chassis - it is important to us to have a high quality, reputable auto repair shop to provide service when it is necessary. We appreciate the honest and accurate assessment of the issues, followed up by timely repairs. We immediately felt comfortable with Christian and their certified MB Sprinter Tech working on our vehicle. Owning a vehicle with limited qualified technicians is no longer a concern of ours. These folks always knock it out of the park with their kindness, service, courteousness, honesty, personal care, and expertise. They’re always patient, attentive, and caring, and get the job done right. Replaced my Honda Civic’s radiator a few years back, and now replaced by daughter’s Toyota Matrix’s serpentine belt and one of the brake calipers. My daughter was nervous about getting taken advantage of, because she knows little about cars. She had no sense of that, and was very happy with her interactions here. She felt very well taken care of. I know lots about cars, know they treated her right, and that they just did the work that needed to be done. They made sure her tire pressure was right, and evaluated the overall health of her (older model) car, too, telling us it was in fantastic shape. They were fast, too—done in a day. Happy to have these guys around!

I was looking for an alternative to the expensive dealership for my newer Mercedes just for regular maintenance. I found Oxford and it was much more reasonably priced for excellent work and even more friendly service. They used OEM parts where I requested. I will be taking my car here from now on.

Im not sure that there is enough room here to tell how great they are at this shop. I live in Cleveland and was traveling to Columbus when the fuel pump went out in my Tahoe. Stranded on the side of 71s I googled repair shops in the area. Thankfully Oxford was the very first to pop up. I called In and began to speak with Christian who immediately pointed me in the right direction for a tow. After arriving at the shop with the towed car I began to speak to Christian a little more about my situation and how I would not be able to be contacted directly being as I was going into the hospital. He sensed the worry in my voice being thanksgiving was only days away and that it wasnt a problem for me to just check in with him when I was able to. I called in to speak with him and not only did they pin point the problem that needed fixed but went over the vehicle letting me know of what may need work in the near future. Thought everything was set to be repaired and when I got out of the hospital Id be smooth sailing on the way home just in time to eat some turkey. Well as luck would have it and the vehicle being a NE Ohio car the fuel tank needed replacement as well because it was rotted where the pump bolted to. This was something that couldnt be relayed by phone because there was no way to reach me. Absolutely no fault of theirs and I never thought to call them back. Since my Uber left that brought me to the shop from Columbus and now Wednesday afternoon the day before thanksgiving Christian immediately helped me get set up in a rental to make it home to family. He called me first thing Monday morning to let me know my vehicle was ready to be picked up the following morning. 5 stars isnt enough for the customer service and workmanship of this shop.

I have mostly been my own mechanic for my whole life, but I do use Oxford when I can’t or don’t want to deal with something, or fail at something like multiple attempts to put a freeze plug in my Dodge Cummins. I have found them to be very professional and have dealt with whatever I have brought them. They are bit expensive, but they are my first choice for taking a vehicle to someone.

Everyone was very curteous the pickup service is invaluable. They picked up my car left a loaner car and returned my car when it was done. I babysit grandkids and am the after school bus its very difficult to find time to leave car for repairs. They also work with the warranty company to get all covered services done. Recommend them highly truly customer service driven company.

Ive gone to the Oxford shop in Powell before, and they also have excellent service, but but they were booked up and directed me to the Delaware shop for my latest issue. I was able to get my car in same day, they gave me a rental free of charge for while they worked on my car, and they had me fixed up and ready to go in about a day and a half total. I cannot recommend them enough, every time Ive dealt with Oxford has been been the best experience Ive had with a mechanic, and my first trip to the Delaware location was no exception!

These guys go above and beyond. My financial situation was not great when my car needed repairs a few weeks ago, but they worked with me to make sure my car was fixed and the repair costs would be minimal. Really, they bent over backwards to make sure I could drive off their lot without breaking the bank.They are honest, hardworking, and always work in your best interest. Hard to go anywhere else when you know that.

Took my car here after it flooded from heavy rain and they did a fantastic job with everything. Both the shop and I were having issues getting in contact with my insurance company and my car ended up being here a lot longer than expected BUT this shop went ABOVE AND BEYOND helping me after my rental coverage ran out and allowed me to drive one of their loaner cars until my car was finished. I was always kept up to date on my car and what was getting worked on. Christian always answered any questions I had and explained everything to me perfectly. I would highly recommend this shop and they will definitely be getting my business again if I ever need it.

After servicing our van for years at roush honda, Oxford Automotive was such a breath of fresh air!! It was easy to talk to someone and schedule an appointment (for the next day no less!). Repairs we completed in record time. I think after the diagnostics, repairs were completed within 12-15 hours! Communication about the repairs was very detailed and done through in person calls and through text messages. Throughout the process I never felt I had to call in for status updates, they just texted me everything!! Wonderful! Also, our family really appreciated their loaner vehicle service. While our van was being worked on, we utilized their loaner van and we were still able tote our children to their appointments without insane amounts of juggling and Ubers. Thank you thank you for all the little things-- they went a long way. We so appreciate your efforts!

I was having repeated electrical problems with my lights on my 2002 GMC Christian worked very closely with me keeping me updated on the repairs. They also helped me with a car purchase by taking my call and answering questions I had about certain things with that car. My father was a mechanic for about 45 years so I learned a lot about vehicles, how to fix them myself (which Ive been doing for several years) and how much it should cost. Now, Ive found someone I can trust to do those for me right, at a good price and I dont have to worry about it. If u need service on your vehicle, call them. Dont hesitate. Would leave 10 stars if I could!

Ben at the Powell location promptly connected me to the Delaware location to speak with someone. The whole process was such an easy and positive experience. I didn’t need to drive my car all the way home or even to drop it off, Oxford came to my work location and dropped of the rental car and picked up my car.It was so nice to have peace of mind! I received a phone call within 48 hours to find out the issue and the cost was so reasonable! From the time of the incident to my car repairs was less than 2 days and I had no headaches, excess fees, or charges for towing. Since I work closest to the Delaware location, that is who fixed my car. My problem with my car (2008 Chevy Impala 140k miles) happen to be a sensor on the gas pedal that regulates the throttle. This was replaced and my car is running better than before!I appreciate the kindness and help to get back on the road safely! I definitely recommend Oxford Automotive for your car repair needs!

I found Oxford a few months ago while looking for a quality place to get my sons car fixed. From that first phone call to make an appointment, until I picked up my car, everyone I worked with was super courteous and professional. I have since taken all my vehicles to them to be serviced. They only fixed what needed fixing. They never pressured me into trying to fix something else. They also do an excellent job inspecting the car to make sure everything is working properly. I took one of my cars in for an oil change and they found a leak in the power steering line. I realized I have had to add fluid once or twice in the last 2 years. But since it wasnt a huge leak it didnt leave any of the other usual signs. During that time 4 different places preformed oil changes. Not one person found that leak. It was a really small leak but they still found it! They perform the work in a timely manner. They kept me updated constantly through phone calls and texts. I wont be taking my cars anywhere else.

Oxford Automotive is nestled between railroad tracks and cornfields just outside Delaware, and is the nicest automotive repair shop I have ever patronized. The customer waiting area is clean as a doctors office and it has a little library to keep you entertained while you wait. You can also choose to read the newspaper on the rocking chairs just outside the front entrance. I had an oil change and brake fluid flush on my class c diesel RV. The appointment was handle in a timely and professional manner and at a competitive price by Christian and John the mechanic. I enthusiastically recommend checking Oxford Automotive out for your automotive repair needs.

I’ve been going to Oxford Automotive for about three years now. I never feel like I’m being pressured to buy something I don’t need for my SUV. Every person there is beyond friendly and truly gets to know all of their customers. I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else and I always recommend them to anyone who needs car repairs or routine work.

Have used Oxford for timing belt replacement and power steering repair. Both repairs were done well, on time and lower cost than using the dealer.

Great Service! 😃On my way into work, while driving on the highway at about 70 miles per hour, my check engine light came on and then my car suddenly slowed down to about 50 miles per hour. This was a little scary, because at the time, I was in the fast lane and had to make a quick lane change to the slow lane. I was unable to go any faster than 55 to 60 miles per hour. The dash message said, Engine Power is Reduced! The accelerator would not allow me to drive over 60, so I took my time to arrive to work safely. I have a bit of a commute; I drive approximately 70 miles a day to and from work.I call around to find out who may be able to help me with the problem and I was referred to Oxford Automotive. Oxford has done a great job for me everytime i have used them. Good honest people who are also very personable and fun to talk to! Certainly will continue to be my go-to for auto service.

After driving down this two lane road in the middle of farm country I was expecting to find some overall dressed good ole boys to do the work behind the silo. Instead I found a clean, well decorated, office where I was welcomed with courtesy and told that they would get right on my car. Christian, in the office, was dressed in a clean uniform and very friendly. The work was done quickly and I was even given the cost for some follow-up work that I knew I needed. Yes I will recommend them and I will return for the follow up work.

The check engine light was on in my BMW 528 Xi and my wife took the car to several major repair facilities. The code showed a lean air from intake system. We were told to pay a big number to replace the parts but they still could not guarantee to fixed it in the first try. I called Oxford Automotive Delaware Office and had my car fixed next day with only paid one third of the big ones asked.Frontal desk Dennis is super friendly and manager Christian is very nice. He communicated with me in each step they did. I was also touched that Christian even called me back to take off the test fee since I was not informed in the first time.They are very honest and trustable. It was such a good experience with them and I will certainly recommend to my friends.

This was my first time using Oxford Automotive in Delaware and I was extremely pleased. From the time I dropped my Ford F-150 off to have work done on a power steering leak, I was kept fully abreast of everything thanks to the great customer service of Christian! They ran a full diagnostic report on my truck, complete with photos of areas that needed immediate attention. I appreciate the transparency! I had 4 new tires installed while I waited. They took a little longer than I expected, but the wheels are perfectly balanced, and they checked over the whole car while they had it on the rack. Ill be back!

This was my first visit here. I am usually pretty picky when it comes to who services my Tacoma. My initial impression with Oxford was how clean this place was. It smelled good which isn’t a huge deal for me, but since I have never seen an automotive service center as clean as this, it left a nice imprint for sure. Christian, the service advisor was very polite and professional. My oil change took less than 30 minutes and I couldn’t have been happier with the result. I will definitely go back here for any future repairs.

This was our second visit to Oxford Automotive and, once again, the service was excellent, the wait very short and pleasant. Both the service manager and the technician were friendly and professional. And the price was so much better than when we had this same service done at the dealership! Even with the long drive we definitely saved money. We will be sure to come back again!

My husband insisted bringing his Lexus here and I normally go to a Lexus Dealership for quality and convenience. I must say though Oxford Automotive seemed to have both quality and convenience. No I didn’t take home a loaner for an oil change and come back the next day for my car but they made sure they were very quick about my husband’s oil change and tire rotation. They were also very informative as to how the car was doing. I certainly plan on bringing in my Lexus as well, they were very kind and the service is really just as great but much cheaper.

This was my first time. I was impressed by their work and review of service. I also liked the value and the fact they got me into the schedule. Only a short wait in a nice clean waiting room.

The employees were very kind. They promised to have vehicle ready within a certain timeframe and they met their goal. The location is in the middle of the country and has a very quaint setting. I even got to see a beautiful horse on the property!

Best auto mehbanic experience ever! They correctly diagnosed a problem that another mechanic had gotten wrong. When an additional part was required to resolve the problem, beyond what they had originally told us, they paid to replace that part without charging us! I have never had a mechanic do that. Too many times I have had the opposite happen at other mechanics and been frustrated. Thank you, Oxford Automotive!

Great place! Very polite, pleasant and helpful. I got a loaner car from them to use while mine was mended. It was something that never happens in the automotive shops any more. I received multiple text messages with the updates about the progress they were making with the car. Not to mention the Oxford Automotive repaired my car on the same day I dropped it off. Their service was just wonderful. Loved them!
