Stopped in for coffee and tried their biscotti. The anise biscotti was large and thick. It went very well with my coffee. Not strong on the anice though. The service was friendly and speedy for my takeout order. I will be back.

I ordered the reuben for lunch today. I asked them to use one of their biscuits for the bread. Ive never eaten a reuben with a biscuit before but it was great.

I heard recently that Fresh Start has new biscuit sandwiches. In my mind I was picturing the type of biscuit breakfast sandwiches you can get at fast food joints. However, these are totally different and much better! The sandwiches are very large and they have interesting flavor combinations, although there are not a ton to choose from I think there is a decent variety. Two of the sandwiches are vegetarian. I like that they use some local products like cheeses and sausage from other area businesses. The biscuits are homemade and the sandwiches are made to order. I also appreciate the customer service. I recently purchased a couple sandwiches that were missing one of the toppings. I called and spoke to one of the owners and she definitely tried to make it right.

An absolutely phenomenal little place in downtown Delaware. The coffee is excellent, and the cooked-to-order biscuit sandwiches they offer on weekdays are WONDERFUL. If you are in the Delaware area, stop in here for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or just a coffee break. You wont be disappointed!

I was so happy to find out they made vegan birthday cakes. I was hoping for the best, since I had never had one before...It was FABULOUS! Highly recommend.

The cinnamon rolls get 5/5. We ordered a cookie dough cake that was 5/5. We ordered a lemon cake that was terrible. It was obviously a pre-made/ordered cake and so dense and dry and the flavor was off. I used to be a fairly regular customer, but the snark from one of the early morning employees really upset me. I havent been back since. Better for my waist line. Maybe I should thank her?

My fav local spot to grab coffee, lattes, espresso, tasty treats, and now breakfast sandwiches!!Cant pass this lovely place up. The staff goes above & beyond to ALWAYS make you feel welcome. They passed out individually wrapped samples on our last visit & they were so YUM!I love,love,love the cheesy biscuit sandwich! The biscuit was a bit overpowering compared to the sandwich filling, either needs more sauce (honey dijon) to help it not be so dry OR more ham! Next time I order Ill ask for more onions & ham & mustard but man...it was great! Ill be ordering that & the Fresh Start Latte again very soon :) love the parking in the back too. Makes it much easier to run in quickly during a busy day!I did wish they offered online ordering or delivery from Grub Hub or Door Dash. The world today uses services like that a lot & it would be awesome but also nice not having to wait for them to be overwhelmed by orders when you stop in.

I recently had Fresh Start cater a bridal shower that I was throwing, and I could not have had a better experience. Leigh was quick to respond and very helpful in planning our Covid friendly baked potato bar. She was able to individually package everything and wrap each box in coordinating ribbons - it really looked special! The food was hot and tasted great! I highly recommend Leigh and Fresh Start for any catering needs.

The pastries and other food is always really good and extremely fresh. Standard coffee drinks but they use Crimson Cup coffee, local from Columbus, and I love that. The earl grey tea they have is also really good. Has a nice sweetness to it.Oh and to top it off every time I go in the staff is extremely nice and patient with me.

We stopped here in a cold day to get something warm to drink.I got a slice of peanut butter pie and a chai tea latte with caramel walnut. The peanut butter pie was delicious! The chai tea latte was ok, but I probably should have just gotten a normal one because it was easy too sweet.I would come back again if I were in the area.

Great little bakery spot w/ a cute sitting area in the back & in the front to enjoy your pastry & drink also has local photographers art hanging on the wall. Which is also for sale. They have an open viewing area of the bakery where 3 lovely looking ladies do the baking. I enjoyed my time there. The French toast bake & the chilled hot chocolate was delicious along w/ the strawberry smoothie which was probably the best I have ever had! It was so berry filled. After eating & getting the smoothie to go I walked around since it was a nice day & had the most lovely time w/ my date just walking around enjoying the neighborhood. There were a few antique shops that I popped into that were also as nice. Once again a nice thing to do & enjoy on a lovely day w/ someone or just yourself

Excellent, tasty coffee plus always gluten free options!! The gf muffin flavor changes daily and all are delicious. Once in a while I am delighted by a tarter flavor!! Attentive service. Also good meeting space in the back.

This is a great local bakery, I cant believe I havent visit sooner! I appreciate that they open early so I can run in a grab treats before work. My team love the cupcakes (red velvet, banana and vanilla) and my supervisor loved the sour cherry pastry. The staff was very friendly and laid back. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend them! Plus-- they sell reusable glass straws that are locally made.

Nice to be open late. Had a gluten free peanut butter bar and it was ok, but not as good as I had hoped. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Come I almost every Sunday, coffee and other drinks are always great. Tried at least a dozen different bakery items from sweets to breads and enjoyed every bite. Some of the best pastries I have had since spending a week in France. On top of the great food is the excellent friendly service. Im ways greater with a friendly smile.

Very nice little Bakery with outstanding pastries. However, we walked past the place the first time and thought the store was vacant. It turned out to be the place next door to them. They really should have better signage to light up their window. Neon would be nice.

Love this little bakery! Their spinach bread on Saturdays is fantastic. I like to get a loaf and then walk a few stores down to the Greater Gouda and get some cheese to go with it. The spinach feta roll is also scrumptious. They also have a space in the back with tables, chairs, and a skylight that is great to get some work done (they have wifi).

We enjoyed a delicious tiramisu cruffin. it was light and fluffy with a perfectly paired cream! we also had their crimson cup coffee which was great! staff was very kind as well especially for us walking in close to close. cant wait to try more pastries!

Its not often that you find a place that takes suggestions into account and immediately accommodates you. I suggested they offer almond milk as an option and within the week it was available. Incredible service, great coffee and tea and amazing food-- try the pull apart scones!

Its been a long time since Ive had an actual real cappuccino! You know the kind with ACTUAL MILK FROTH! Wow was it good. And the sweets wow again. I was just in the mood to support a downtown business and glad I did. Love living near downtown delaware because of businesses like this.

I love the house made pastries and breads from here. The coffee is Crimson Cup which is a very good local roaster. They recently started making donuts and the peanut butter donut was to die for.

Very nice people. Frozen Mocha was actually frozen, unlike Frappuccinos that are usually a watery mess. Unique food finds, too! Bacon, Onion and Swiss Scones, Pepperoni Rolls, Blueberry Danish with whole blueberries on top! First time here, and Im in love! Oh... And the best part...Clean restroom!

Great coffee. They have a coffee club which gives you a new flavor coffee every month. Pastries change day to day and atmosphere is very calm.

I didnt order here as it was very busy and very disorganized. It looked like a good variety of drink choices, but the donuts were mostly just cinnamon buns with various toppings.

The buckeye bars and shortbread cookies are delicious. Also, they bake wonderful gluten free garlic, asiago and spinach bread and gluten free white bread. They are so friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant..

This is my first visit to Fresh Start, but definetly not my last. I wanted to try something savory and sweet, so I started with a spinach feta muffin. Light and very flavorful!! Melt in your mouth tender. The cream cheese cinnamon roll was my sweet choice. Yummy cinnamon goodness. I would surely order one (if not both) of these again, if only there werent so many other delicious looking options for next time. I finished with a peppermint latte....flavorful and frothy. All of the staff seems really friendly and knowledgable about the products. Fresh Start is well worth the visit, you will not be disappointed!

I work from home full-time, and happened to visit fresh start while visiting a co-worker who lives in Delaware, OH. Short Review: I love this place and will definitely visit again!Detailed Review: Fresh Start had a great combination of comfortable and office-type seating. My favorite part of the seating is that they have a front area and a back area that is away from the sounds of a coffee shop. I was able to sit in the back and participate in business calls without too much noise. The wi-fi was very reliable with no disconnection, and although the music was a bit loud for my taste, it was not disruptive.The customer service was great. The young woman who waited on me at the front gave great information about the place and what they had to offer. She greeted me with a smile every time I walked past, and was always willing to help.The food options were great. I am gluten-free, and they had several gluten friendly options. In addition, they had plenty of regular pastry options. It was nice to see that they recognize gluten-free needs in our culture, and had several pastry options. Coffee was great - and had a good, robust taste.Overall a great experience, and I would recommend highly. I will definitely visit again when I am in town.

I dont live by this place anymore, but I stop in Everytime I come to Delaware. I used to be a regular and am VERY upset I can only find Starbucks near my current apartment. If I could convince them to open up a location near Polaris then I would cry actual tears of joy.The baked goods are to die for. I have celiac and have LOVED every single gluten free thing they make. Its not often I can get a muffin with my morning coffee! Even my S.O. and family (who can have Gluten) love all the different things they have tried. On top of that, I do find the coffee to taste better than Starbucks. Less of a artificial taste.Often times you can see the owner there in the back doing paperwork and he is always friendly and a bright spot for my afternoon. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I came in to get some cupcakes! I got two red velvet, a chocolate, and then a buckeye bar! When I got home I was very disappointed, the cupcakes were rock hard. They were so hard I question whether they were 2-3 days old... the icing was good on the red velvet cupcakes. The chocolate cupcakes icing was dry and rock hard, as well as the cake portion. Very dissapointed and will not be going back, not worth the 8$.

Despite what some reviewers and the owner say, this bakery does not offer doughnuts. Everything I saw looked fresh and delicious, however, and the staff were friendly.

The drinks are okay, nothing special, but where this place really shines is the baked goods. Nothing is frozen or pre-made, its all baked in-house and it is all AMAZING. Seriously, I am usually a person who cant stand baked goods and rarely even eat bread, but everything I have gotten from the Fresh Start has been delicious. Light, flaky pastries, moist and delicious cupcakes, cinnamon rolls... oh my god, the cinnamon rolls...My moms a big fan of their quiches. My favorites are the danishes and the poptarts (which are to normal poptarts like filet mignon is to a fast food burger patty). This place is perfect for a quick and delicious breakfast, and the staff have always been friendly too!
