Such a great place. The owners are so incredibly nice and polite. We walk our family down almost every weekend for coffee and a doughnut. Everything thing we have had has been delicious. Love this place!

Such a cute little place with so many yummy options! I had vanilla iced coffee and the spicy sandwich pressed and they were both SO good! I will definitely be back for 1 (or ALL) of those delicious looking pastries in the display....

I wish Id gotten the name of the woman who served us. She was a pretty lady with silvery hair shoulder length hair and tattoos. I say that because I didnt get her name and I expected poor service because I have a very basic palette and wind up explaining myself anytime I go in a place like this; they tend to be impatient and not very helpful. This lady was kind and she made my coffee perfectly. I am not a Starbucks/foofy drink kinda person. So, I asked for just a regular cup of coffee; no dark roast, Americano, Frappuccino mess. Just coffee with cream and sweetener. They have a lot of choices and asked me a couple of questions and chose the right one for me and got the creamer perfect! Better and cheaper than Tim Hortons; better service too.

Ordered a whole pan of Baklava....did NOT disappoint!!!The flavor was amazing! Ive had Baklava from all over the world. I typically go for the Turkish Pistachio type but...if I am in the mood for Walnut/Greek style..I will ALWAYS come to Ciao Cafe!The flavors are so authentic. I dont taste just straight sugar as some Baklava comes. I love the thin,crispy phylo dough,and the lovely syrup. Its not dry which makes it so lovely.I froze some for the future. The owner was great to work with. I would recommend anyone going here for their baked goods.The price is a little higher than some other local places but, your supporting small business & its made locally.

My family and I stopped in Delaware to get hot chocolate before we went to look at Christmas lights & decided on Ciao Cafe. The gentleman came out and threw trash away and we followed him back into the store. Well.. he was closing the store down. We weren’t aware that they were closed. We apologized and started to leave and he reassured us that is was okay and he served us anyway. He made our son a hot chocolate happily. He conversed with us while he prepared the drink and saw us out the door. He went above and beyond. He didnt have to let us in, or take our order, and he didn’t have to be so polite and personable. Our experience was wonderful and our son said the hot chocolate was the best! We will definitely be back!

Authentic! You really feel the small town - family owned vide. Its very cozy and the service is amazing. I always get the Espresso gelato and and always blown away by how rich it is. You can really tell each item was made with love! Know several townies who go here regularly and the people know their orders. Would recommend to anyone.

Good gelato! Tastes a lot like the gelato they have over in Spain. This place has changed ownership a lot in the past few years so hopefully this business will be the one that can stay long term. Kinda miss the coffee shop though.

OMG!!!! This cafe is soooo good! Even though I’m not an adult it’s so good. My sister, grandma, and dad’s girlfriend went to this cafe after we had ate dinner! We all loved the food they had! THERE MACAROONS ARE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! So is there gelato!!! The flavors I recommend are raspberry, vanilla, Carmel, and lemon! If you don’t like lemon I would get the chocolate or pistachio. recommendation for the Gelato is going to be the coffee bean or the cookies in cream! There all really good and I loved the texture. You know kids can be really picky of the foods that anyone makes but, trust me ok this one. The workers/ owners are very nice and friendly to talk to. Everything is homemade as well.

The gelato is amazing. It’s the most authentic, little small town cafe. The women who works there is originally from Italy, she makes her treats in-house and it’s homemade. It’s delicious. I will be visiting again. I recommend the macarons, the cookies n cream, espresso, dark chocolate and pistachio gelato! You won’t be disappointed! Please support smaller business owners this holiday season!!

Had Ciao Cafe make a gelato cake for my mothers birthday and it was excellent. Very good distribution of cake and two different flavors of gelato with fresh fruit on top. Very well done and my mom loved it!

If you want real Italian Gelato in central Ohio then this is the place. They actually bought a machine from Italy! The flavors are fantastic and ever changing so there is always something new to try. The owners are great people, friendly and let you sample before you purchase; which really lets you know they are serious about providing an exceptional experience. Some dairy free flavors are available for those who need/prefer it.

I just picked up a Carmel Frappe from here and my morning is instantly better. Best Cafe in Delaware!

Some great Gelato!! I unfortunately cant have dairy anymore, but they keep dairy free choices on hand. I highly recommend them, their flavors are better than some other local choices (I wont mention names). Swing by and try a sample.

Simply delicious!! We drove 30 min to try out this place and Ill tell you what...it was worth it!! The only problem is that you cant decide what flavor to go for😀I end up getting the Vanilla flavor and it was so Yummy!! Definitely going back!! And Owners were extremely friendly!! 👍👍👍

This place was fantastic! I bought a chocolate latte which was the perfect late morning pick me up. It was just the right amount of sweet chocolate with some espresso in it to get me through the rest of the day. I also sampled a couple of flavors of their homemade gelato and they were delicious! So smooth and creamy and the flavors were perfect! Service is also excellent, the girl behind the counter was so sweet and we spent a few minutes chatting. If you like homemade authentic treats and supporting locally owned small businesses please make a stop by Ciao!

Love this place! The owners are extremely nice and welcoming. The coffee is great (my favorite is the sweet mocha!), prices are good, and the seating area is very comfortable. I love sitting here for a few hours over the weekend to work on homework and sip great coffee.

I cannot say enough good things about our visit here. The warmth and friendliness of the owners is a breath of fresh air. This is small business done right. Plus, their gelato is incredibly tasty!We will be back.

First time visit with my granddaughter Ava, we loved the Mixed Berry Sorbet! Very clean, organized and inviting! We were welcomed as we came into the cafe we will be back as soon as we can!

Fantastic food and great service

My 1st visit to Ciao Cafe was fabulous! The gelato was so good! I learned you should eat it in combinations of 2 or 3 flavors. There are plenty to choose from & I was able to sample almost all the flavors before making my choice. The espresso was smooth & available in decaf so I should be able to sleep tonight. Thank you for the hospitality & thanks to my two friends for introducing me to the cafe!

Stopped in for the first time tonight with some friends, my wife and my daughter. Staff/owners are so friendly and helpful. Tasted a few different flavors and settled on fior di latte and coconut. Every bite was amazing. Reminded my wife and I of the time we spent in Italy. We will definitely go back and tell all our friends.

My husband and I come here a few times a month. The owners are super friendly to new customers and regulars. We havent tried a flavor of gelato we didnt like and the tiramisu is delicious as well!

The gentleman and lady running this place are very chill people. The Gelato is excellent. Hell let you try it first if you like.I picked this place for the dairy free options. Was not dissapointed. I recommend the peach or the mango. Price is acceptable, as are serving sizes.Dont sit next against the decorative stone wall... It is uncomfortable and fragile.

The gelato is incredible! Hand made and authentic. There is also the REALLY cool cashier named Emily there, everyone should go there and be sure to tip the staff!!!

First time visitor July 2019 for breakfast. Hard to believe a place of this quality is in Delaware. Phenomenal pastries, doughnuts, coffee & unbelievable gelato (owner let me try some)...all in a really cool, bright, colorful setting in downtown. Owner was very kind as well. I will definitely visit again...in the pm so I can justify buying gelato.

The service is friendly and they have yummy pastries! However, the coffee is not good and everything is served in paper cups and paper plates with plastic utensils which isnt very professional or eco-friendly.

Amazing service! They closed at 9, but let us in at 10 since they were still cleaning! Have been to Italy and this is hands down the best gelato weve had since. Way better than the other gelato shops in Columbus. Will be back to try pistachio and their coffee!!

Wonderful Owners and delicious Gilateria.I initially came here with my Italian class the owners are very patient if youre trying to order in Italian, and helped me through the words I wasnt 100% sure of. They have an amazing cookies and cream, and paired with the chocolato. They switch there flavors around my last visit they had a dairy free pineapple. Mixed Berry aka Frutti Di Bosco is really good, and pairs well with chocolate too. Its the closest thing to my favorite Raspberry aka Lampone. All the Gelato is made in house fresh as well as the pastries except for the donuts which I believe they get from a local amish bakery. Ive been there multiple times after The owners are a lovely couple and are occasionally out serving ice cream on busy weekends. Definitely say hi to them theyre wonderful people very genuine and helpful. Also! They do have super delicious panini sandwiches as well.

We were really impressed with our visit here today. The owners seemed very friendly and allowed us and others to sample various flavors of the gelato before making our choices (which you can split flavors for the same price.) They had said that there will be some staple flavors, but there will be flavors updated constantly, so if you follow them on Facebook you can stay up-to-date on the current flavors. I think that there were 4 different sizes of cups you could get, and for pricing just keep in mind that you are buying a premium kind of treat, as it is a bit more expensive than typical ice cream.There were also various coffees and bakery items that can be bought as well, that we did not try....yet.

I am very disappointed to say that although they made new improvements, it isnt enough to compensate for the judgemental attitude, and discrimination stemming from what I can only assume are false assumptions. After remaining a customer for years, never having issues, and never disrespecting the establishment, my digestive issues resulted in me staying in the bathroom a long time, 45 minutes is what I think she said, which was rife with pain. I drew PoC for a python script to try to direct my attention away from the feeling that my insides would blow up. I have a history of stomach pain. This is normal, I cannot help it. I was yelled at, and asked if i was okay. I didnt want to describe the ordeal, its vulgar and embarrassing, especially in public. I was shocked when I was told my friend would risk getting the police called. For what? I cant fathom, but I explain my profession here every time and no one acknowledges it as real. I divert my time into writing SEO articles and working on my dream business, a small digital marketing company. As if they werent obvious enough with their skeptical attitude, I guess they think I am some loser up to no good. I am not sure what I have done wrong, but I am very upset they have ignored my loyalty in favor of assumption. I work, i follow my dreams, and apparently the new owners of my favorite coffee shop want to show their opinion. Even though I nearly always tip. I have gone here since 2013, and I love how they run the place, but I am not ever returning. These people judged me, and I am greatly offended.

My familys favorite place in Delaware! We always feel super welcomed (even when my sons put their faces on the glass to look at all of the treats and gelato)! Today we ordered wraps, gelato, coffee, and a pumpkin handpie. Everything was delicious.

We love Ciao! They make you feel like family everytime you are there and the Gelato is amazing! So are the paninis and sweets!! Im not a coffee drinker, but my husband says its the best coffee in the area!! If you are in Delaware, you have to stop by. Or if you are craving authentic Italian Gelato, drive to Ciao! My wife and I were in Italy two weeks ago and heard about Delawares gelato. It tasted just like we were back on the square of the Duomo in Milan! The espresso was straight out of Italy too. This is a must visit cafe.

12 Years ago, Dan and I had our first date here. Its changed hands a couple times thru the years, but the coffee is still amazing, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming and its a totally great spot to people watch. PLUS!!! They have cannnoli and gelato!!! Sure a great place to revisit our anniversary!
