All the staff joins together to help which makes it very confusing. I was told by 4 staffers that I could pick up a 4x4 later. It didn’t have a price on it, they searched and I remember standing at the desk to pay for it. Everyone agreed that I could come back and get it. When I returned I was in a hurry borrowing a truck and a fifth member of the staff not present at purchase asked if I paid and I said yes. I assumed it was in their records because Home Depot keeps all my receipts. I was asked to provide my phone number and the manager commanded me to stay in the store until further notice. I felt this was a breech of business etiquette to say the least. I had a client to meet and left. THE MANAGER CONTACTED THE POLICE!! I had the police return the 4x4.I have spent over 100k in Home Depot and Lowe’s working on houses and not about to begin taking things like giant posts costing 2x what they cost elsewhere. I shopped there thinking they were my friendly neighbors. Now I have a court date over a $34 stick. As Jill said in another review, the gossip is rife there because of the manager. The staff tries to help but when you have 4 people talking to you at once things get confusing!!! A simple miscommunication turns into a court case? What a world we live in.

This place is closing. Staff wasn’t very friendly or helpful at all. They were rude to my girlfriend. Big sales though.

Always try to use small local businesses. They are very aware of Covid and dont let a lot of people inside. I view this as a plus. Very helpful w making keys ans picking out spray paints. Definitely will use this business in the future.

Its a small neighborhood ACE but staff is always friendly and willing to help when asked. Usually have what you need without having to visit one of the big box warehouse stores. Try to come here to help out neighborhood store.

Took a couple of screens in to be replaced and was taken care of by the owner Pam. I mentioned that I had 5 others to be redone but couldnt fit them in my vehicle because of their size. Pam offered if I could wait till Saturday that her son had a truck and could pick them up for me and then drop off the new ones. Worked out great. Thanks Pam

I Ordered a Weber gas grill for my new home in West Delray over the phone with Pam. She give me a better price than the website and Home Depot. Assembled and delivered ! Ordered Wednesday it was on my patio Saturday. She called me a couple of times to give me updates on the arrival. I noticed it was leaking gas at the hose connected to the tank. I called Pam and she sent someone right out with a new tank. Turns out it was a cracked seal on my tank, never seen that before. They said no problem keep the new tank. Thank you Pam, I have been dealing with a lot of people with my new house and you should teach a class on customer service. Thanks again.

One of the worst Ace Hardware stores I have ever been to. One of the women that works there is super rude and and wouldn’t accept my return of a defective product that I brought back with receipt less than two weeks after purchase. She all but accused me of trying to scam them. Products at this store are all extremely overpriced, and although I shop there often out of convenient, I will never return.

A great, old time, hardware store. Plenty of knowledgeable and extremely pleasant sales representatives. A wonderful alternative the Home Depot or Lowes. they have 90% of what a homeowner needs, and you can get in and get out of there in 5 minutes.

While this neighborhood hardware store didnt have the big box selection, I actually found a lady who knew what she was doing, helped me get the right fasteners, without the crowd. I forgotten what good customer service was, thank you for the refresher course

Good hardware store in a difficult location. Too congested with impossible parking. If you are already in the area, fine. But I would not return.Theres an Ace in West Delray on Atlantic Ave, thats much easier to get to.

Would have been 5 star had they offered a veterans discount. I use Lanttana Ace where they do offer a vet discount.

Super friendly staff

Ive always enjoyed going to Ace Hardware. But this store is not as friendly as the East Boynton or West Delray stores. Also they dont honor the sale items in the Flyers that we receive. But its good to get a quick items that you need for Hardware of her quick repairs at home.

Do not... I repeat, do not go here for your hurricane supplies. They have raised the prices on their batteries, flashlights, etc. They have almost doubled the price on their water. They are not allowing you to return anything in regards to hurricane prep. Home Depot and Lowes both allow returns if not used. I understand the law of supply and demand, but this borders on unethical.

I came in here looking for hardware and tools to hang some clothes racks and shelves in my closet. They happily helped me with everything and even wrote down a list to help remind me exactly what to do. Loved the whole experience I had at this store. It is so much better than big box retailers like Home Depot and it is a shame that anyone would give this store a bad review.

None of the staff stopped to ask if I needed assistance when it was obvious I couldnt find the bolts and hardware for my project. The check out at the register was slow and they asked me what the prices for each of the hardware I selected. Ill know to go else where next.

Really bad One young kid was kind of helpful but the lady behind the counter couldnt hold a friendly conversation with MR. Rodgers. Anyone under the age of 70 is eyed like a thief the moment they walk in. The owned looks like hes never done a minute of physical work in his life and and cant even say hello or thanks for business. you go to these small hardware stores for the friendly atmosphere. but this place lacks that 100% .

The guys there spent 20 minutes showing me how to combine plumbing parts to solve my problem. There is no way that I could have figured it out on my own. People should keep this in mind before mindlessly heading for the big box stores. If we dont use places like this for our regular purchases, they wont be around when we need them for our big problems.The cashier is a charm too.

Google said open until 5:30. Drove 10 miles. Closed at 5:00 . NOT HAPPY. Lady was nice enough to answer phone. Explained they couldnt get Google to change info for summer hours.

Purchased a part to repair my toilet tank and was helped by the rep who pointed me to the wrong part. Tried to exchange the part for the right one and was told if I didnt have a receipt that I couldnt do that. After buying from this business for 20 years, I will never again. I couldnt treat my customers like this

My 86 year old father needed to use the bathroom. They refused. I could not believe it. I was a paying customer. Do these people have any Grandparents? Is this how they would like their Grandparent to be treated? I understand if we walked off the street, but I bought something that cost over $80.00.

Be careful about this store and their policies. I bought over $80 worth of supplies in preparation for bad weather. I tried to return some of the unused and unopened items I bought, and they informed me that they would not accept any return because they deemed them hurricane supplies. They also told me to read the super fine print on the bottom of the receipt. Its really sad that when someone tried to support local business, instead of just running to Target, we have to pay the price. The people in the store seem to have a I dont care attitude, horrible customer service and I will never be shopping here again. How are they not out of business already? Thanks for taking advantage of the community in a time of need! Horrible little store.

Service is usually very good, but I tried to return an item with a receipt and the credit card I used and I was told I needed additional paperwork.

Go somewhere else. Nobody knows much here, and dont give the older lady at the register a coupon, and bring the item back because it wasnt right. They dont have a clue. If your a guy, they wont even ask if you need help finding something.

This place is OK sometimes, and I want to help a local store - but it just doesnt cut it on customer service - I arrived at 5:05 and the door said closes at 5:30 but they would not let me in to get one small item (an O ring) - I wont come back if there is an alternative

Every time we go to Ace the staff goes above and beyond to help us. The owner is very friendly and approachable.

Dont call here and expect to get any level of service other than rude. When I phoned on a Saturday morning at 9 a.m., I got what sounded like a middle-aged man. He was curt, acted as if my call was a HUGE imposition, and sounded as if hed rather pull out his eye teeth than assist me. I knew exactly what I needed, had the model number, and he acted as if hed never heard of the Stihl brand. IF you really want help at an ACE, call the Deerfield Beach store and speak with CHRIS. Hes fantastic. I called and spoke with him after dealing with the HORRIBLE DELRAY ACE store, and what a difference!!! DONT USE THE DELRAY STORE. CALL DEERFIELD BEACH INSTEAD AND SPEAK WITH CHRIS.

They suck.. They have almost everything you need but service floor guys or gals. Only one guy working in the whole store. And the lady up front could care less about what you want or need. Ill go to Home Depot and Lowes or order online from another company and save myself a headache.
