Love this place! Wait staff is always friendly and very attentive! The coffee is always nice and hot too! There is so much on the menu it’s hard to decide, but everything I have tried is really good. You can do call ahead seating which I recommend son the weekends. It tends to get really crowded, but worth the wait!
Its hard to put my finger on why we are never really happy with Seven Mile. Its partially the prices, which are higher than other local breakfast places. And partially because every time we have been there the food is subpar in some way.For example, on our last visit I had the crab cake eggs benedict. But the English Muffin was was over toasted, with slightly burnt edges, and a hard base (tough to cut through, so I didnt eat it), and I hate anything that tastes burnt. And for some reason one of the two cakes was way over cooked... it had turned to a hard uneatable shell (so I scooped out the insides, which I obviously shouldnt have to do, but the filling was tasty). Which they explained later, that they pulled one, then waited for one of the eggs to finish cooking, then pulled the second cake, but seemingly too late, the damage was done. But, this has been the case pretty much any time we have gone there. Overpriced for the quality and type of food served. Its a real shame, and we do go back every nine to twelve months to see if they have raised their game, but its never improved. For some people, Im sure its fine, but for us, they just dont seem to cut it. Close... But no cigar. They are about 75% of the way there. With more attention to detail they could be four star. I think we are just going to give up on them.Oh, one last note… The waitress who served us was great, and sympathetic to the food issues. But even after she reported that we couldn’t eat one of the crab cakes, no accommodation was offered.
Long overdue praise is in order. Duuuude, each and every visit is simply spot-on. This morning I sat solo at the bar in Highland Village - went with the Caramelized French Toast and a couple of scrambled eggs on the side + coffee. You would think French Toast is just French Toast; while syrup is obviously provided, you just dont need it as it stands on its own - TERRIFIC ! Eggs cooked perfectly and coffee is FULL of flavor. Other favorites include the oatmeal (yes, oatmeal - give it a spin one day) and a Seven Mile Latte. Staff is exceptional too; warm & welcoming. Almost forgot, plenty of great vegan options as well. Thats all I got - PEACE !
Let me just start off by saying we love this place, coffee and the food is great with the exception of the hash browns, they just do not know how to make them. You either get French fries or raw potato noodles... there is no in between. Being a breakfast/brunch restaurant you should really be able to make some hash browns. Our server even said that many people have complained about this. Please fix it, like I said we love this place. Everything else is great besides the hash browns.
We first had take out here last year and absolutely fell in love with the food. We haven’t had a chance to go back. We went to the one in Denton the first time, but discovered this one much closer to us. The restaurant is super clean, and the hosts were kind and friendly. They were constantly smiling was serving and overall the environment was warm, making you want to go back again and again. We ordered the Berry Dream Pancake for our kid. It was soft and pillowy, and wasn’t too sweet even with the cream cheese topping on it. It came with fresh strawberries and fresh blueberries. It was the size of a plate so it was enough for the kid. We ordered the Vigas and the Congress Street Benny for the adults. The Vigas is one of the best dishes I’ve ever eaten made out of tofu. I despise tofu with all my heart, but I will eat the Vigas here AGAIN AND AGAIN. The flour tortillas are nice and soft, but a little chewy. The salsas weren’t as spicy as I remember them, but were still delicious. I could make them into tacos and the tortilla held all of what I put in.The Congress Street Benny tasted a little bland, probably because of the proportion of avocado and tofu being uneven. There was more avocado then the tofu, the tofu came with some chilli powder sprinkled on it. The chipotle sauce tasted like chipotle Mayo but wasn’t as spicy as the chipotle Mayo. But my husband loved it all the same. The hash brown was nice and cooked as well. The restaurant is definitely VERY expensive even if the food is good. I would definitely come here again, maybe not in the next few weeks, but possibly once a year. If you are in the Dallas area, do not miss this place for brunch.
This review should be 5 stars and I want to edit it to make it that way. I wrote an extremely long review here but deleted it. I’ve tried to email you Josi and Kevin but I’m hoping it went to spam. I’m a huge fan of your restaurants and want to stay that way. Please let me know how to contact you about my experience. Thank you!
Great atmosphere, service and most importantly delicious food. We didn’t have any wait to be seated for Saturday breakfast. Our server was prompt and kept the refills coming. The kids loved the strawberry Nutella waffles. Really enjoyed the atmosphere as it was lively. The black coffee was better than most breakfast places.
A neighborhood cafe only open for breakfast and lunch that offers amazing yummies. We thoroughly enjoyed our brunch on loaded potatos (sausage and avocado)($13.50) and gravy train ($14.00). There is an option to get the hash browns crispy. Do it! You wont regret it. I also indulged in the cranberry mimosa ($9). I was superb. Our waitress Tiana was excellent. Thanks for a great meal. The total was around $40 for the two of us.
Id love to start this out with a special shout-out to Grace, who took care of our group of 20 on 7/20/21. She was on top of everything and made sure not even our water glasses went unfilled. We really appreciated her awesome service! The food was absolutely great, too. I ordered the avocado scramble but also enjoyed my husbands order of vigas. I dont post many reviews, but I highly recommend the food, service, and ambiance here!
THESE GUYS ARE THIEVES!!!!Food and location might be really good. But these guys steals from you. They charges extra money on top of the bill + tip paid. Never give them your credit card. Stand up and go to the counter to pay your bill. Coz once money gone you will be heard with the deaf ears.AGAIN!!! THESE GUYS STEALS.
Surprised grandma and great grandma by popping in to Lewisville for Christmas. They planned on having a zoom meeting with us in Wichita Kansas, instead we surprised them on Christmas day and told them wed take them to breakfast. They said theyve been wanting to try this cafe so we obliged. We ordered chicken & waffles. A petite French toast. Smoked gouda grits. A side or bacon. Cinnamon roll. And a capitola scramble.Everything awas tasty. Good size portions and reasonable prices. Clean dining room and restrooms. No complaints at all. Keep up the good work.
Fantastic food and some selections you cant get elsewhere. Tried the pumpkin spice pancake and it was very tasty. Our second visit was just as good as the first. Tried some different things this time. Loaded potato with sausage and avocado. Coffee and tea were $3.50 each. Seems a little high for drinks. I will just get water next time.
Food was good but cost can add up once you add on to the meal. Ie eggs hash browns etc. We were from out of town and wanted to try something new. The chicken and waffles are what we had and is worth getting again! The hash browns were a little soft for my taste. I ask to get them cooked a little longer. All in all a good choice for breakfast food for sure!
Good good and cute atmosphere. I would love to go back in a smaller group or just to sip coffee. Portion sizes aren’t obscene like a lot of breakfast places, but the pancakes are huge.
A bit of a hipsterish vibe. Food is really good. Theres a lot more food that comes out than youre expecting
Have been here 4 times now. Really just cant speak highly enough about the place. Food is great, I feel its a good value for the money spent to boot...but the staff is phenomenal. Ive got some food allergies, didnt realize that my dinner selection has one of my allergens in it sometimes, depending on the staff that made it. Head cook came out to talk with me, and proceeded to call the cook who made it that had just left as his shift ended, just to verify if it was safe or not. May not seem like a big deal to most, but someone with allergies will understand its huge. Even offered to remake my dish personally to alleviate any concerns about it, on the house (for something that was my mistake, I didnt think to ask about that item before ordering).
On of my all time favorite restaurants! I used to frequent Seven Mile Cafe when I lived in Denton & was incredibly excited when they opened this location since I now live in Lewisville.Their entire menu is delicious. Drinks are always on point. Service is out of this world wonderful - kind, patient, respectful, friendly, provide good array of suggestions & all with a smile even with masks during COVID times. Theyre COVID accomdations are executed well & made me feel safe.
Amazing food and service! The southern benny is phenomenal!!! Mike was very helpful with our large party
My first time going and everything was amazing. I had the chicken and waffles and it was delicious. I will be back 🤩☺
I ordered the biscuits and gravy for takeout, so I can’t speak to the service, but the food was excellent. The biscuits and gravy were fresh, the scrambled eggs were perfectly cooked, and the hashbrowns were extra crispy (as I had ordered them). I can’t really think of anything that was wrong with my meal. Hopefully, next time I’ll have time to actually go into the restaurant, sit down, and enjoy my food inside.I arrived exactly at my scheduled pick up time and didn’t have to wait on anything, but it was all fresh, so no complaints here. I would definitely recommend stopping here for breakfast, but I’m sure the lunch is just as tasty!
Food was delicious and service was excellent! I got the Migas and Seven Mile Latte… best sip of coffee I ever head! Definitely recommend a visit.
The vegan options here are great! Although our well done hashbrowns came out after we were almost done with our breakfast, they were actually delicious! 🤤 the portions here are generous and the cinnamon rolls was perfection! Also there is only one restroom for each gender - which is probably not enough for the size of this restaurant. I waited a solid 10 mins for the person inside to finish! :( perhaps they should add individual stalls in the bathroom. 🤷♀️
Popular place on a Sunday, had like an hour and 15 minute wait but I asked to sit outside and werel seated right away. prices a little high for the quality. food is pretty. good tostada pulled pork but tostada was kind of hard. Service was great and food came out quickly.
We love 7 mile cafes. The food is not in the IHOP category. Its great food, good ingredients and always fast service.
Seven Mile has been one of our favorite brunch spots since we moved to the area 5 years ago. Through COVID-19, Seven Mile has been exceptional with their cleanliness and support of preventing the spread. Despite the recent Governor’s policy to remove the mandate. Seven Mile has not drastically changed their approach like so many other restaurants around town. They still make me feel safe and without a doubt, still have amazing food.
Love the menu. Enjoyed family breakfast/lunch. Could accommodate vegans. Service a little show. Definitely return.
This is our new favorite restaurant. We have only ordered takeout so far. The food has been amazing and the gentleman that brings the food out to the car is awesome. Cant wait for this pandemic to end to eat inside.
Had a great breakfast for lunch there with my card playing Buddies. Excellent service terrific food large portions enough where everyone was full except Jimmy. Hes never fully never stop eating
This place is phenomenal with great prices. The grits are out of this world. The pancakes are crazy huge and you may need to take at least one home or feed it to children. The morning margarita needs either larger or smaller ice. They should make it a slushee or put it on the rocks. Come hungry and get yourself on the wait list early!
Mark was great! Food was tasty!! Loved it!
The food and coffee selections are great! Tables are well distanced and all staff wear masks and have great customer service. Guests did not wear masks in and out of restaurant even though there is a sign on the door.
I love Seven Mile Cafe. Im from out of state, but try to stop here whenever Im in town. The food and service are great, and I love the decor in the restaurant too.
This place has very good food. The service was great also, with very kind and attentive staff. Atmosphere was enjoyable. The only problem is that it is crazy expensive! Just know that going in.
Seven Mile Cafe is my favorite breakfast restaurant! Their coffee is excellent. Everything on their menu is delicious! I highly recommend the smoked gouda grits, Migas (ask for extra green salsa!), any of their egg benedicts, pancakes (they are huge!), french toast and cinnamon rolls. Amazing customer service! Arrive early, because this place does get busy. (And its totally worth the wait)
Been coming here for about 4 years now. Always great food and service. The wait can get up to an hour.
They have delicious brunch options and their servings are gigantic so make sure to come hungry! 😆
Some of the staff is rude. The paperless menu would be great if the staff actually told their guest how it works. Also half the menu was unavailable due to some machinery being broken. The mimosa was good though.
Wont bother to come back. Food was below standards. Service was good.
After seeing a bunch of reviews I decided to try Seven Mile for breakfast. There was no wait time which was nice. The decor inside is very cute and welcoming. I wanted to quickly love this place and make it my new go to breakfast spot. I asked for coffee my son asked for hot chocolate. Things began to quickly fall apart when my son who doesn’t like biscuits asked for the sandwich but to sub the biscuit for a piece of toast. They said they do not sub anything. I can even go to a fast food restaurant and have something added or taken away. I was quickly turned off by this. I wanted a scramble but they would not add tomatoes unless I do a completely customizable option which of course is a lot more money. As I sat staring at my menu disappointed that I even came here I asked the server once more if they could maybe add something on the side. My sons food came out so quickly that I think the food is all sitting pre made. When trying to eat low carb it’s been fairly easy. It doesn’t matter if I go to a fast food restaurant or an expensive steakhouse they are accommodating. I felt it was more of an obstacle here. For that reason I don’t think I will frequent this establishment. I ended up eating my sons salsa on my eggs. I didn’t even dare ask because they would probably want to charge me for every single ingredient that goes in he salsa and gave me a lame excuse about kitchen efficiency. They really don’t make breakfast all about you. Sign should be removed.
Just another fancy breakfast place with overly prized food.
If you are vegan or just like healthy breakfast options, this is the best place in DFW. Bar none! Yes, they do serve meaty breakfasts here—just with quality ingredients. Plus, vegan, gluten free, & low cal!
Great little breakfast place. Everything was delicious, plenty of options.
We wear a mask and they still want to take my temperature??? Those temperature gauges don’t work. I’m a doctor and I used to use them. They change each time you take your temperature. They aren’t reliable. Get a clue and stop using them. They screw up your pineal gland.
This place is amazing. The food is great. I have had multiple dishes from here and they were all amazing. The customer service is also great as well. it is a great brunch place. The atmosphere is a little bit on the loud side.
AMAZINGLY Good food. A bit pricey and long wait but great food!
Breakfast 2 people $50.00.Food ok. Waitress 5star.
Try this place for brunch this morning it was really good. We got there at about 1230 and had a 30 minute wait. We split a lot of items, we had the pancake tro, Southern Benny, Eggs, bacon, and hash browns with a side of a. Açaí bowl 🍲 needless to say we were stuffed! Place was a 5 star for me, service was good and place was unique
Loved it! First time visiting but we will be back. Greeted and they took out temperature, still getting used to the new normal. Everyone was friendly, it is very spacious and clean! Coffee was good. Scrambles were all great! You can tell they use fresh ingredients and care about each meal. My eggs were fluffy and juicy, veggies crisp, my hashbrowns were crispy on the outside but creamy in the middle. I forgot to take pics. My wife got a pancake and she said is was already sweet so skipped adding the syrup. I would have probably drenched it :-) had a great time and would recommend this place for sure!!!
3rd Review 4/2/29Easter Sunday, after church, 6 of us.We heard you can call ahead & schedule to be seated without standing in the long line.We did that today, and instead of a 1 hour wait, it was 5 minutes. The waiter Nick was very courteous, took our long detailed orders, and proceeded to give us excellent service at a very crowded time of 11:00-12:00. Refilled water glasses 3 times. Took back a cold pancake and brought a new heated one.All 6 said food was tasty and what we ordered. All happy.Highly Recommended now.Phil1st Review: We are new, & retired in Flower Mound, & we eat breakfast out, about 3 days a week. This Cafe was recommended by 2 different friends.First visit on a Sunday after Church, was too crowded, had to wait for a table, and too noisy for an older guy who does not hear well. Food was fine, lots of choices. Coffee was great but too expensive compared to other flower mound breakfast cafes.Phil2nd visit was on a 3:00pm weekday.Lots of choices to sit, numerous breakfast choices to order, stale coffee turned in for fresh coffee, non smiling waitress, matter offact, not bonding with customers. Coffee still overpriced, but very good. Food was delicious, & interesting choices. Bottom line, we feel this cafe is overrated, our bill higher than Starwood Cafe, Black Walnut, Le Peep for the similar fare, & SC & LP are more like CHEERS, where we are greeted like friends. Lots of potential foodwise, but falls short by comparison to our other choices.Probably wont be back to Seven Mile Cafe soon. Suggest a management change with a fresh attitude, & more competitive pricing.Well try again in a few months, hoping for the new attitude and pricing. Hope this long review is seen by an owner.Phil
Ive always loved Seven Mile. The staff is very friendly, and the food is great. I dont think Ive ever ordered anything that I havent thoroughly enjoyed!
The food is amazing! We will be returning for sure.
First time visiting for breakfast and it was a really nice place. Great environment and great food with a large menu and coffee bar. Cant believe we have never been here before, but we will be back for sure.
Always delicious. Very consistent. I love restaurants that offer vegan options. My go to is the congress street Bennie and my only complaint is the tomato could be bigger as they seem to use the tiniest sliver of tomato possible.
This is a darling breakfast spot with open garage door windows to the wrap around patio. Spacious seating. Super friendly staff. Good food. A little pricey but you can get mimosas. Excellent job following Covid protocols.
Amazing food! Never disappointed!
This is our favorite brunch place in the metroplex. Farmhouse style and chill vibes, great coffee, and amazing food. We cant recommend it enough!
It used to be better.
The food is TO DIE FOR! However it is REALLY expensive! We had 5 people and the bill was $90! So as long as you have a lot to spend, this is a perfect breakfast place! I recommend the acaí bowl (I had original), the Berry Dream french toast/waffles (this comes with so much you could easily share!!) And their Berry Dream pancakes (its the sweet cream cheese frosting thats amazing!) and their Denton Huevos is amazing (even if your a sweet breakfast fan!)
This place is for people who are on a bland diet. The food was tasteless. I wont go there again.
Delicious food! Be careful of the mimosas, they sneak up on you!
Wonderful atmosphere; food; and, Great Service!
Great food, Nick was an attentive, wonderful server 👍🏼
7 mile has been my favorite since they only had the Denton location. Innovative, delicious, great portions, excellent coffee, unbelievable staff. There is nothing I do not like. The location on 407 is just as great and closer. All I can say is, smoked guda grits!!!
Kitchen staff was too lazy when it came to changing a bread type for a dish.
This place is a must have for Highland Village. Very reasonably priced considering the high quality and healthiness of the food. Its my weekend go to. I always order through Ubereats, but Im sure they do a good job of keeping the place clean and being friendly considering the other great reviews Ive read.
If youre dining in the food is great. If your doing pick up orders dont wait the till your order time to pick up. Itll be cold by then. Ive had over easy eggs come out fully cooked in the box because it had been sitting so long before I arrived at my designated pick up time. 20$ for a cold entree and side is disappointing. But for all my gripes the food is good if you sit down, Id still say worth the money
One of the best places for an excellent breakfast in DFW area. I go almost every month
This place is THE best. Ive ate here several times and the food never disappoints.
This is the best place for hash browns!!! Service was excellent - we were waited on by Neeko. The food is wonderful. Best brunch place around!!
Great food. bit pricey but worth it. try the mimosa flavors!
Best chicken fried steak and sausage gravy Ive ever had. Mimosas are reasonably priced. Get the mimosa carafe which is basically four mimosas for the price of three. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Weekend brunch crowd is big but you can get on the list ahead of time via Yelp.
For the price you pay for 2 eggs bacon and a muffin you guys really could get more on the plate than what I received. And 3 bucks for a drink? The service was fabulous but thats about it.
Seven Miile is our favorite breakfast spot. Great food and service. Very good variety. On the weekends, go early. Its very popular.
