I havent been to this location in a few years. This Kroger has really improved. Great produce section. Sushi Bar was well stocked. Meat counter was in great shape too; well stocked. If I lived closer to this location I would definitely visit it every week for my groceries! Oh, and the Starbucks was great also!

This Krogers is really clean with move displays and is the bigger version of a Kroger. All the staff Ive came into contact with were very friendly! The only thing is the location makes it a very busy store, and even busier pharmacy.

Not the best Kroger but not the worst. Pickup is usually quick but sometimes gives substitutions that aren’t even close to the original item. Pharmacy takes a long time to fill prescriptions and the line is always long.

This kroger is wayyyy better than the one on University. The other one Im afraid of getting mugged after dark in the parking lot. This store feels safe.Sushi, deli bar, cheese heaven, fresh produce.... LOVE this Kroger. Theres a Starbucks too. Prices are FABULOUS. They also have online ordering.

In-store products, (pulled chicken and the like) are absurdly overpriced. The self checkout software is the worst Ive experienced in at least 10 years. It constantly runs into issues that halt progress. Ring up a beer and it halts scanning, not checking out, but scanning. The weights for items are keyed wrong, the scales are off, or the tolerances are too tight because it constantly halts progress even when scanning things like cans because the weight is off. This wouldnt be a problem except this location has aggressively installed self checkout lanes. And the congestion of checking is evidence as to ineffectiveness. I dont know, dont see a reason to pay Whole Foods like prices for wilted produce and two day old deli meat when they dont even want to hire staff to ring up the sales. Also why are the baskets never stacked? Every time Ive visited Ive had to go to back through the checkout lanes to grab a basket because they havent been stacked at either entrance. Target is closer to me for small stuff and ALDI is cheaper for big orders.

Came to picup my meds today and stood their gor a few minutes and then said hello because there was noone in line and the manager kelly Lamb said someone wluld vet with me in a minute like it was a problem so i said i said hello be cause noone acknowledged me and then she escalated the situation shes the rudest person ever and if thats what she teaches her staff to ne like that says alot. Thanks for the one clerk his ladt name is Marr he should be the manager he treated me like you shpuld yreat someo e and thete was a customer in line she also is contacting Kroger about this incident

I usually dont post reviews, but Im hoping those in charge will do something about the service at this pharmacy. Ive been a customer here for 20 years and not until the last few months has service been so horrible. I called in a refillable prescription and 3 days later it still isnt ready. This is not the first time. This has happened multiple times. Honestly they dont deserve the one star.Y

Do not buy vegetables from this store. I bought a bell pepper from this location and it was full little bugs. I get all natural but where do we draw the line?

I dont even know why i botter coming here. Always a line on check out its 1030pm and loooong line to checkout. Theyre just so cheap to hire at least one or two ppl, everybody must self checkout. Its a nightmare when u have cart full of groceries. Will never set foot in here again.

Kroger Pharmacy has depleted in their good service. I work for a doctors office where we repeatedly send in medications to this particular pharmacy on behalf of our patients. The pharmacist is extremely rude, disrespectful and uneducated. She has deactivated prescriptions multiple times with no cause or reason and when we call to rectify the situation, she tells our patients there is no record of us speaking or record of the medication even though it shows she has prescribed it/filled it on our end. She has caused countless patients to miss their prescriptions and dosage without reason, she is completely rude to our patients and lack knowledge as a pharmacist. Hire a new pharmacist!!

So far the number one, this is where I get my nutrition from. Clean, neat, spacious, organized, easy to get around and shop for groceries, they even have some of my favorite foods from other countries including Necafé Clásico coffee. Lets not forget about all the farmers who wake up early every day to work on their farms, so that we consumers in Denton Tx. can have all the basic products and produce necessary to live. All the available carts were outside or behind a locked door when I walked in around 6pm on a Monday, & I should have left. Half the self checkouts were closed and only 2 cashiers open. The store was packed with customers but very understaffed. Apparently this is a (very poor) management decision as someone mentioned that half the doors are locked & self checkouts closed after 5pm on weeknights (aka when most people have time to go shopping)

Tried to get discount State Fair tickets today, told the clerk there were 5 of us, aged 60, going on a Friday. Price should have been $12.00 each per person with Kroger discount (according to bigtex.com) or a total of $60.00. Got charged full price! Clerk just...shrugged... Not EVER going to Kroger (Krapper?) again!! Do not purchase your State Fair tickets (or anything else) from these f.....s again.

The last time I picked up my groceries, it took over an hour to get them brought out to my car. The associate apologized and said they were understaffed. I told them I understood and didnt blame the associate but blamed upper management.This time, I placed my order the night before, got a call at 7pm the day of pickup and the associate said my order would not be ready to pick up that day due to them being understaffed. When I spoke with her at 7pm, she said they were still pulling 1pm pick-up orders. She couldnt give me an answer as to when it would be ready to pick up and told me to call the next day (today). I called today and got no answer. I then got a voicemail saying that they can not fill my order and that they were going to cancel my order. That drew the line for me and Im never going to shop at Kroger on South Loop 288 in Denton again.

My boyfriend and I were checking out through self-checkout and for one item, it would not let us scan the item. We had to ask an older white woman with glasses and short blonde hair working self-checkout for assistance, and she was extremely disrespectful to us. However, when another white woman asked for her assistance, she was very polite and respectful. Guess Kroger does not care to check if their employees are discriminating against customers, seeing as my boyfriend and I are Asian and Latinx, respectively.

We have shopped at Kroger for years; several different locations. The condition of the store ( Denton ) was not good to put it mildly. There were two, yes two buggies available for the entire store on a Saturday at 4:00 p.m. there was one employee on duty in the deli and after 10 minutes, I simply walked away to the meat counter to find one employee and six shoppers waiting to be serviced in a counter that was less than 40% stocked. We left the store. Very sad.

Lamesha was SO KIND AND ACCOMMODATING TO ME!! she went above and beyond to help me out. I’ve never received this any where else. I’m so thankful for her she has no idea! Thank you

Do not place pickup orders here. Due to being understaffed, they cannot fulfill orders and they will not let you know ahead of time that the order is cancelled.I placed an order Monday night for Tuesday pickup at 6pm. At 5:30pm on pickup day, I got an email saying the order was cancelled. I called the store and they said all future pickup orders were cancelled due to lack of staff. Managment needs to get a handle on the situation or close the pickup option.

The people at the customer service desk need to learn a lesson or two on how to be able to solve issues, and to effectively help customers. They can get to be rude and unhelpful. Also, it isn’t worth spending a lot of money here in order to be able to get the discount at their gas station / fuel pump.

Too bad zero stars isnt an option. A pathetic lack of cashiers staffing the registers on a holiday weekend (3), but hey no worries, you can try paying for an entire cart of groceries using the self-check out system instead.Manager claims they cant find enough employees to work at the store, yet they turned down my 17-year-old stepdaughter for a position this week, so theyre obviously not that motivated to replace their staff.Perhaps you could consider increasing starting wage rates on a more regular basis, rather than simply waiting on a union to force your hand once every four years, maybe youd actually fill the positions. But why do that when you just cut your operating costs and replace your staff with machines instead.And their 1-800 customer complaint line, which is bizarrely listed as the Bellaire Gun Range under caller ID (great job!), decided theyd rather just hang up on me than listen to my complaints.I guess almost 20 years of me shopping there isnt a big concern. So get stuffed Krogers, Ill be shopping elsewhere from now on.

The online order and pickup process is completely broken. We sat in the parking lot for over an hour waiting on our pickup. When we received our order there were a large number of substitutions which we were not contacted about to approve. Previous pickups have been better but this latest experience will cause us to look at another grocery food source. We recommend others look elsewhere as well.

Disgusting store . rotten food in the bakery section. failing fuel pumps (which cancels your fuel points) you would never know this was a kroger . the staff acts like they have ZERO pride in anything they do.

I hate that this location tends to have very little human cashiers even at busy times. If I wanted to check and bag my own groceries I’d go to a discounted grocery store not a full price one. The location is the only reason I shop here now.

Today I placed an order for pickup at around 7am to pickup my groceries at 1 pm. I go to pick them up at 3pm, and keep in mind I live 20 mins away. When I arrive the guy tells me that my order isnt ready and wont be ready till tomorrow. They are short staffed. I get that youre short staffed but to not let the customer know this until they pull up in their cars is appalling. I am done with Kroger. Also 2 weeks ago I pick up my order and half of it is not there. I had to drive back up there to get it

Coupons, there is always an issues if you want to save. They will not allow you to use any coupons on the buy 5 save $1, that’s what I was told today by a cashier and the self checkout short rude guy. He has always been so rude to many people. I was also told that if they accepted the coupons there where loosing money, really? No.Youll be happy to know that your store doesnt lose a dime when you use coupons. In fact, they make more money when you use coupons to save. ... Not only does the store get back the coupons entire worth, it also will receive from the product manufacturer a payment of 8 cents per coupon redeemed.I’ve always respected the coupon policy, but sometimes people read it wrong and can’t understand, they mix one thing with another.Manager was amazing ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ this morning May 5, 2021

I was in Kroger today, 2/16/2021. Due to the winter storm, shelves were mostly bare. I saw one of very few meats left and I reached in to pick it up. As I reached for the meat I heard someone say, we could probably raise the prices to two or three times as much and they would still pay for it. I looked up to see two employees laughing. They were laughing at the misfortune of their customers. Its not bad enough that people are without power, heat, and water? We gotta pick through scraps of whats left in the store to try to provide for our children because our driveway was too icy to beat the crowds to the store.. Then we have to feel humiliated because the store employees find our sad situation entertaining? Really Kroger..you dont have to hire people with a 4 year college degree... But at least hire some people with compassion, or at least hire people that know how to read the room.

Honestly, Kroger has gone downhill. Hard. Whats weird too is that they all have the same issues. Dirty, inflated prices, and indifferent employees. It will work in a pinch, and its better than Walmart, but its not ideal. I wish they would turn it around. Anyways, this location is average and at least I got some fuel points.

People in the deli never want to work and never take pride in their work either. Tonight I bought a pound of boars head pepperoni from the deli then took it home and had a piece and it was completely soured. I called to let them know so they don’t sell it to I don’t know, someone who will feed these straight to their kids, but I have a feeling nothing will be done about it. I just hope nobody gets sick from them.

I came late at night on Thursday on 1/7 and Justin was the only person who helped me. He offered me a cart while he was reorganizing them, he even helped me check out at the self check out since I had two cases of water. I hope he gets this review and his managers sees it, he was very helpful and a kind person.

Love this Kroger! Great prices, friendly staff, large selection. The parking lot gets crowded but if you go early (like before 11am) it is less busy.

The grocery pick up manager is wildly condescending and rude. Ive had the unfortunate experience of having to talk to her twice.... once while she brought me my groceries and the next when I had been charged for 2 items and not given the buy one get one free. If you are going to have someone as management, and a face to your customers, why pick someone who makes it SO excruciating to deal with. I dont need to be talked to like an idiot when I pick up, I will be going to the kroger off university from now on and sharing this review on every platform I can.

Good store, wide selection of products. Not always the best price but convenient. Bought a candy bouquet for our granddaughter. These are great gifts for certain events, like recitals.

I love everything about this Kroger. It is my favorite place to go grocery shopping. They have very high quality products here at great prices. I love the staff and I love how quickly I can get through the lines compared to other grocery stores.

Krogers is a nicer, cleaner supermarket than other places like Walmart or Aldis, with a good selection of fresh food and polite employees. I especially love the fresh cheese options, and I can always find good fruit, veggies, and meat for great prices.

This location is my neighborhood Kroger, I had gone in on the Fourth of July to get a cake for my husbands birthday. I was looking through the cakes available and wanted a white cake with buttercream, I wasn’t having any luck, but Daisy from the bakery went out of her way to help me look and even went to the back freezer and pulled one out for me. The Cake she had pulled out was plain and not decorated and she stopped what she was doing to decorate it how I wanted and wrote out happy birthday on it. She was so friendly. Thank you Daisy, you really made my day!

We call this the Nice Kroger in Denton. I could walk to Rat Kroger, but if Im doing some serious grocery shopping, Ill drive to the Nice Kroger.

Kroger is disappointing. Not only are their prices inflated, but you are charged a COIN SHORTAGE FEE if you dont have the correct change when paying in cash. Also, Kroger recently made the decision to not return customers change due to a coin shortage, instead offering them the option to donate that money to charity or have it applied to their loyalty cards. Totally unacceptable. Im taking my business elsewhere. VERY BAD FORM Kroger!

Found mildew on food. Report it to the management immediately. She looked like she knew already! Bought some fish it was spoiled smelled bad. Kroger quality has ready went down since the pandemic. Make sure to check ✔ youre dates on some products trust me it will be expired. Or Shelf life will be short

I’ve been going here for a couple of years now and really liked the place but as time went by I noticed some things and now that we are in the middle of pandemic and seeing how the store operates very disappointing. I walk in and a Kroger worker just standing there coughing his lungs out in a corner onto chips and other things they have in the front. This man was obviously very sick and someone in management should already have noticed. I go to get my money orders from here as well and every time I come I see 3 people there and one person working as others just converse and joke around while big lines of people are waiting. Not only this the last time I went same thing except one of the ladies working there is having full on conversation with the register full of cash in here hands open for unwanted thieves. (Did I mention she wasn’t even working) And they both go back to break room leaving one worker to work and sort everything out. In the produce aisle where the fruits are you can see nasty hand smear marks over all the glass I don’t think Kroger Sanitizes anything or wipes anything down except the floor from time to time. I will def not be coming back anymore for anything from here not to mention I accidentally bought expired products from here from time to time.

While curbside service is a nice thought, multiple times our order has been wrong. Today, missed about $90 worth of groceries my wife placed online, but charged us for. No accountability

Employees at the service desk are dismissive and rude. Careless management. Apparently endless phone conversations take precedence over assisting a long line in front of you. If you are pressed for time, I strongly advise you to go elsewhere.

Loved this place since I moved here 2 years ago, they refuse to enforce masks and have no places to sanitize hands. I watched a woman cough all over produce and no one said anything, i asked an employee why is it ok she isnt wearing a mask and their response was i just work here. I put back all my food and left for target. Im sad that this is how relax a major publicly traded company acts and takes this crisis as a joke. I am concerned for my health and that of my loved ones.. i will not come back to this place for mt health only... sad its a great place. Wish they took this crisis seriously.

I used the Kroger app to place a delivery order today. After waiting about two hours after the text notifying me the order was completed, I called Kroger. Apparently, they use Instacart as the third party provider. Not only did the shopper fill my order, but the total was approximately $30 more than my original total. The Kroger representative said they would be issuing me a credit. I just wanted to share this experience, had used this service many times before, but will not be anymore.

This has to be one of the cleanest and most well-maintained stores I’ve visited though.

I could go on forever about how horrible this store is, but my biggest complaint is that they shut down ALL human staffed registers at 8 pm, forcing customers to use self checkout. Unacceptable.

Staff here have always seemed uninterested in their work, which is whatever because its retail and Id imagine its rather repetitive and boring after youve been working it for a while. Whats decided my mind for me of whether or not its worth the 15 minutes extra to go to sprouts instead is this wonderful new employee smoking/lounge area theyve added in between the front door and redbox. Looks like some hillbillies front porch with all the cigarette butts and sunflower seeds everywhere. Youve fallen a long way kroger, but now youve decided to use walmart as your standard and thats hilarious.

Every week for the LAST FOUR WEEKS there have been multiple items missing from our pickup. EVERY WEEK. Not one or two, this week was SEVEN. What did the manager say when we complained? Nothing, said leave a review. Well, here is your review

This is a great Kroger. They have outstanding quality groceries. Its much better than the location on University. This one is much better stat. This place is clean and I love the fact that they have a Kroger gas station where you can redeem your Kroger points for cheaper fuel.

This is where we went to buy most of our groceries because the quality of the products was very good.

The store seemed clean and neat enough, but their shelf tags are a mess. After the first couple items with no price tag, I was fine, but there were MULTIPLE items that either had no tag, the wrong tag, or the price was covered up with an out of stock sticker (even though the product was stocked). I dont know if this is a scan dept issue, or the grocery/dairy stockers facing over items. I ended up not getting at least half of the items that I couldnt find prices for because I didnt want to be surprised when I got to the register. I kept my eye out for a manager on the sales floor as I was shopping so I could let them know, but found none. I finally gave up and went to check out, only to find that only one register was open besides the self check out (and there was a decent size line piling up). The cashier and courtesy clerk were very friendly, though. I tried calling so that I could let the manager on duty know about the missing/wrong shelf tags throughout the store (I know store managers have a lot to do and cannot always walk the sales floor checking every detail such as correct shelf tags), but the phone kept ringing and kept ringing. Now Im just annoyed.

They usually have what youre looking to buy. Some things can seem kind of pricey some things are just right.

Great Grocery store. I am struck by the quality of the produce at this location and the variety. Over all cleanliness was very good and there were many Associates on the floor to help with question that were friendly and very helpful. Checkout was a breeze and the Cashier was very helpful and cheery. I will definitely drive to this location, which is a little out of my way, for groceries next time.

They have pharmacy employee problems.Not all but Some with an unbelievably smug attitude. Manager must be related to the “soup nazi” I had to transfer to another Kroger pharmacy.

This is a very nice store. it has been for years. It is close to Lots of Shopping and other Stores, Best Buy, Michaels, Pier One, LA Fitness, etc. And it is now ever Larger with more Varieties. It is also easier to access with the road construction completed. Always parking available and easy access to store. Mush less crowded than other Kroger on University/380.

This palace has always been a great experience and the staff is always friendly. Last night I lost my phone here, and I was freaking out because it had run out of battery as well so I couldn’t call it. I came in this morning and they knew exactly where it was, and to top it off, one of the staff had charged my phone for me. They really made my day. Great customer service!

The pharmacy doesnt even deserve one star Ive had nothing but trouble since I tranfered my prescription. The first script had pills that were not what I take there was five that wrong pills. They did correct it after almost two weeks

Most everyone who works there is friendly and says good morning. I go early in the morning since it gets incredibly busy here and sometimes they are out of certain products or havent restocked bakery items yet. There usually isnt enough registers open and I hate self checkout, but i never am in line more than 5 minutes. Its really nice since they expanded a few years ago. Also has a gas station which is a plus.

Their employees and management are wonderful! They are always kind and friendly willing to help you to find anything in the store you might need. Their produce, meat, bakery, and seafood dept is exceptional. They also give out reward points for card holders to save on gas and groceries. Last but not least they send you coupons in the mail to help you save more money on your groceries!!! My family and friends love Kroger.

Newly remodeled store, amazing sales, need a friendlier self check out staffer.Try the tortillas made on site, IF they have any. Normally sold out. Much better experience than Wally World across the street.

The store is great and friendly. However the pharmacy seems to be always understaffed! The drive through lane takes forever and if you think you are going to save time by going in you are sadly mistaken!!It’s every time I go in and it is truly ridiculous!!

Kelli Rico in the bakery department is amazing!!! She made a beautiful custom wedding cake for me on 10/14/18 and it was nothing less than perfect. Not only was it beautiful, it was delicious! She listened to what I wanted, asked questions and then made our dream wedding cake. Thank you, Kelli! I will be going to her and her only from now on!

Kroger is very convenient and at times quick to get in and check out. Parking can be a hectic as some people dont know how to park. They have great deals and I usually like to get shopping done before the weekend rush. Make sure to check what gets scanned and that it takes sales off. Some of them are digital so you have to add it to your card so when you scan items the price is reduced. They also have limits and certain amounts of item that you have to buy in order to get it at the price advertised. If you forget after you complete your purchases you have to go over to customer service counter and show them. I take pictures of Discontinued items that dont always get put in right and you will get charged regular price. Make sure you check or receipt that items are getting sales price but make sure you get the right amounts or required digital coupons.

1 cashier lane open at 730 pm? Apparently they fired all the cashiers and hired you all for free. Nice job.

Clean, efficiently run store. All employees are very helpful when you inquire about things. The stockerd are not clogging aisles during peak shopping hours. The employees in the deli and the bakery are the most cheerful people in the store; they treat you courageously and have the most positive attitude. I really enjoyed enjoy shopping at this store.

Its the best Kroger in the area. The produce section is really good and everything Ive tried tastes great. Makes me wonder if this location is allowed to buy from local farms? Worth the small expense to have fruit that tastes in season. Otherwise its pretty normal grocery.

We were so excited to move closer to a Kroger again but the customer service here is just lost; there is an occasional friendly face but most employees seem to hate their jobs.

Ive been shopping at this location for years and Ive always had fantastic service. Every time Im there, Im greeted by multiple people, from stock boys to the GM, with a smile and always asked if I can be helped. They could do a little better with inventory, as every time I shop theres almost always something out of stock on my list. But I work in customer service and I know everyone is quick to write bad reviews and rarely ever good ones. Im consistently impressed with the service and this review is long overdue.

Super happy with how my sons shark birthday cake turned out. They were able to come up with the design on their own and in very short notice and it looked better than I could have imagined, for a great price too.

The employees here have always been friendly a d helpful. The pick up servace is awesome. The store is always well cleaned an well stocked. Thank you for such an amazing job you all do.

This is hands down the best Kroger in Denton. I love the people that work there. It almost feels like home. Everyone says hello and is always willing and available to help when I need something. They have known my family by name for over 3 years now and have seen my kids grow up. Its nice to shop somewhere that the employees take an interest in your life and shopping experience.

Very helpful in resolving last nights mistake that the checker made the night before. Refunded the amount over charged and give me the coupons for free eggs and cheese..Thank you for you kindness Kroger..i did tell my husband not to worry Krogers will make it right.

This Kroger is the best one in Denton with the Kroger on Teasley coming in second (only b.c of where I live). Always have fresh food. Its also a clean location.

I often use the Click program to shop and pick up items. Ive never had any issue and the staff are always helpful. The store itself is also roomy and well stocked. Staff kindly ask if they can help if they see me looking confused.

I know these are busy and changing times for grocery stores, but I’m OVER pickup. Twice, I have been charged for items I did not get. The second time it was for items I didn’t even order in the first place. On top of that, I was given a bag of rotten apples.

This Denton location is the worst for Kroger Click List App orders. They either miss count the items; like you ask for 8 tomato’s and they send you 4 or they don’t send them at all. They also substitute nearly half of your overall order. Such an inconvenience for a service that you pay for to make your life easier. For the record I’ve done a handful of orders here (more than 12) to know it’s a recurring issue. I’ve done the app reviews and I’m promised a $5credit on my next order which never gets applied.

Top Notch Pharmacy & Staff. As close to home town service as youll get. Dont be fooled by age of a building or smallness of staff as quaint or home town feel and service. Sometimes theyre just small and working from an old building.

Used CoinStar tonight and was told by this elderly woman that she was the only person aka manager there who could cash me out but she was not able to get more then $10 out of the register this late. Kroger should either close it off so it cannot be used or needs to pay out the amount. It was only $30 but now I have the hassle of driving back to Denton tomorrow to get my cash redeemed. Truth be told she didn’t want to have to recount the register. Very unhappy and will continue to let it be known.

I have been a long time Kroger customer and even though they are not always the most affordable Ive always chosen to shop there. However the customer service that is provided is downright terrible. I bought groceries at this location yesterday and my cashiers name was Angelica Morales. She was so busy having a conversation with the cashier in front of her that she couldnt even give me the courtesy of a greeting. She scanned my groceries and at the end decided to stop waiting on me and start trying to look up codes for the other cashier who was clearly new. The other cashier should have called for a manager to help her but instead kept turning around asking my cashier for assistance. After sitting there for several minutes I finally asked Angelica Morales to please finish out my transactions so that I could leave. This apparently upset her because once she totaled out my groceries I gave her cash money and she proceeded to throw my change at me. I looked at her and said okay and thats when she proceeded to start laughing so she found it funny to throw my dollar and loose change at me. With that kind of behavior I will not be returning to this store.

Flower department would rather talk to each other or management than be interrupted. Have refused to take single flowers out of the back and charge $4 to wrap two selections together. Never had these problems in Flower Mound. Ill take my money there.

Clean and well stocked store. Check them out for amazing deals!

The loop 288 store is huge and has a tremendous selection of food stuff. Very nice store.

I love this Kroger store. Just for starters its always clean, which is a big thing with me. There have been a few times Ive had no idea where something might be and have always been able to find someone who knows exactly where it is. Since I have a bit of a problem with my shoulder from time to time they are always wonderful about helping me load my car.
