Place is a complete rip off, I brought in 2 sets of Taylor mad King cobras, to just do a trade. They had the same clubs on the shelf but a off brand name for 70 and 90. Do not buy here ill sell u my 2nd hand stuff for a heck of a lot cheaper and they are real!! Not knock off brands

Purchased a bicycle for my son, the destroyer of bikes, and found the experience very satisfying. Knowledgeable service and so very friendly! My son didnt like the seat so he put on a different one, adjusted the seat and handle bar height, NO CHARGE.

There are times you can come in here and get some pretty good deals on products, however when it comes to their video gaming merchandise, I tend to ask for hire prices. However, if youve done your homework and can go in there with a valid appraisal of an item perhaps well work with you on the price. Overall pretty decent Folk, I believe its a family-owned business. A good local 1 at that.

From what I could see, this place has lots of baseball, football, traditional & disk golf equipment. As for fitness, they mainly have treadmills and outdoor bikes. This store is unique as far as second hand sports stores go because they also have used DVDs, video games & consoles, hand held games etc. The employee we dealt with was very polite and honest regarding their stock. They prefer to take your merchandise for trade with something in their inventory but will also pay cash.

I am a regular at SHS and the employees are very helpful and flexible about prices and return policy. i have bought a few bikes from here and they do there best to make sure that i make the right choice. i also buy baseball and football equipment for my children and they always make a good deal, not to mention their huge variety to choose from

Weights: If you are looking for a barbell set check their inventory occasionally and you can find some pretty good deals (around 50cents/lb). They also have a mix of dumbbell pairs. Its dramatically cheaper than new weights and you can probably get most of your investment back if you decide to get rid of them on Craigslist.

There were quite a variety of sports equipment in this store. I found a set of left hand golf clubs which usually never happens. The owner was very patient and helped my daughter with her scooter.

They have a good selection of used video games. Prices seemed resonable. The sporting goods looked a little picked over but maybe they just didnt have what I was looking for.

Current owners and/or management has run the place down.. they now sell over priced broken junk. Its a disappointment, I understand its supposed to be used equipment but when most of your stuff look its broken or very very used how can you expect to sell it for same price you can buy it new else where. Last time I drop by.

Showed up at 5:30pm. Closing time was listed as 6pm. Not sure if the place has a different close time or something? I’ll gladly change this rating if I’m not correct, but was disappointed.

Used to have great buys, but the current management has increased cost of merchandise.

I bought a treadmill and 2 days later it stopped working and they didnt do anything about. The manager seemed like he could care less about a broken treadmill he sold me. All he cared about was when I paid for it nothing else. I dont recommend this place for anything electronic equipment.

NEVER SHOP HERE!The owner lies and sells broken used items... the hours are posted on the website as CLOSED SUNDAY so I didnt waste a trip there to return the broken item but when I arrived Monday he said my 24 hours was up and he would not give my money back. These are the people you should and avoid and this is my warning to shoppers.

Parking was awful, had to park down the street & around the corner. Then they were a little over priced on used baseball gloves.

This place is my first stop for all my fitness needs. They dont always have what I need, but when they do its loads cheaper than anywhere else.

This place will only give you pennies on the dollar and they always act like they dont need what youre bringing them. I bet not one time have they ever said oh man I sure am glad you bought that I needed that.

If the price of their used discs (frisbees) is any indication, then Im going to guess that everything in the store is way overpriced. I had literally just left Academy and I stopped here and they had the same discs, used, listed higher than what they were new at Academy.
