Great coffee from a great roaster. Location is convenient enough. I feel like the condition of the shop could be improved on. Doesnt mean that the baristas and drinks arent great though.
I came here because of the selection of vegan pastries and highly rated coffee reviews. The Strawberry Popster from the Sugar Bakeshop was perfect in every way. It was flakey, full of flavor and paired great with my iced latte. I got my iced latte made with their house blend coffee, called EspressoNovo, which tasted great. The only criticism I have is that their website was not up to date with a menu for their location. I ended up having to call in to see if they had any pastries available and if they were vegan or not. An updated website would make it easier for travelers like myself get a full idea of what is offered.
Best coffee in Denver! I live in another state and buy the beans online between visits to a family member who lives near the shop. Not only is the coffee superior to all other shops I have tried in the Metro area, the staff is professional, efficient, and delightful. I drink my Java straight up and dont cover up the quality with cream, sugar, or any other additives.
I was heading into downtown and saw this location. Looked cozy so we stopped to have a cup of coffee. Although it tasted good. Have to say $7 for a small latte that tasted no better than any other coffee shop was a little much. We just expected more at that price point.
Had a turkey sandwich and baileys (I believe) latte and it was fantastic. Nice ambiance inside restaurant
The coffee here is absolutly amazing. One might even say artisan with their house made syrups flavoring an already smooth and delicious latte. The real secret though is to not forget breakfast! While its easy to see how good their coffee products are. Their burritos and donuts also pack a surprising amount of flavor, and texture, into your morning. 5☆Order: Vanilla bean latte, bacon burrito, and a chocolate donut.
Lavender syrup was so good in our latte. The nitro cold brew was very good. Nice place for a quick coffee stop.
Love the ply wood. I asked for an iced latte. With coffee being so diverse and over refined these days I wasn’t too sure what I was about to get. But 21 hours of transit made me just go for to. The coffee was larger than I would usually, and it was spot on. Cool, refreshing and a good balance of milk.
Nice employees. Expensive! And, unfortunately, far from the best.
Outrageously expensive for what you get (I just paid $7 for a 12oz coffee) and the barista was extremely unfriendly. The coffee was excellent but the experience was very poor. I will not return.
I love their Salted Caramel latte (not too sweet - just perfect) and my friend liked the Vanilla Bean latte today. The only thing i dont like is that they dont offer larger than a 12 oz - would be nice to be sipping for longer but I still prefer them over Starbucks any day. They have free wifi and its a nice cozy place - I love how its not too bright inside.
The cold brew we ordered was really smooth, but our mocha tasted like the espresso was burnt. ):
Another great yelp find within walking distance of downtown convention center. Apparently homemade syrups including maple-bourbon give a wonderfully smooth latte experience. The suite is probably too small but the coffee and staff make up for it.
Cozy space right off of 16th St. Mall. Tried their seasonal Orange Zest Mocha, really good balance of flavors and not sweet at all, can still taste the coffee through the zest and cocoa. Bacon Breakfast Burrito didnt give me much bacon but its good quality, I can definitely tell what ingredients Im eating. Good find in the area.
Novo serves up a great batch brew for a good value. For those who care, all products seem to be environmentally focused which is always a plus. The staff was very friendly and engaging. As someone not from the Denver area looking to sample as much as possible, my barista was quick to offer a variety of great things to try in the area. The highlight was the paleo muffin. Soft and moist with the right amount of pecans mixed in. With great coffee and baked goods I see nothing but a WIN here.
Sweet staff. Good coffee. Quick service.
Novo Coffee is the best of tasting coffee in Denver. A solid staple of downtown Denver. The staff is down-to-earth and they treat you like a good friend. The coffee always tastes perfectly roasted and the perfect flavor. After trying this coffee, you may think other coffee starts to taste burnt. Also, the breakfast burritos are bomb so dont go skipping those.
Coffee was phenomenal; I ordered a salted caramel latte with oat milk and my partner ordered an americano. It was smooth, subtle, and had no acidic tones. Highly recommend!I was looking forward to the veggie burrito, but was disappointed in it as it tasted very fried.Love the cafe space and the staff though.
I live in a building close to this shop, and this my go to coffee shop. The coffee is excellent and the staff is always friendly. During this time of change, their great cups of coffee are a welcome comfort. If you are downtown and need a good cup visit this shop for the great caffeine and a friendly conversation from the staff.
I like this little place. Right across from the Denver pavilion, great window seating and theres coffee cocktails. The reason it doesnt get 5 stars from me is because of my experience with the server. My first time there, I was obviously still looking at the menu and she asked twice are you gonna order something? Please bear in mind the was no line behind me so I felt oddly pressured. Ordered my coffee, it got made and she set it on that counter, saying what it was but not very loudly. After I hesitated she looked at me and said Thats yours. Ok cool. Once I was done I brought my distress to her and said everything was really good. I didnt remember the exact response but it wasnt thank you, or really along those lines. She didnt smile once and was pretty blunt. Unfortunately she ruined my first time experience a little. Ill definitely go back when Im in the area... I only hope I get at least a smile this time!
Very good stuff. Highly recommend and I have Novo in my Denver Best Coffee Top 10.
Cant go wrong no matter what you pick off the menu
Delicious coffee!
Certainly one of the better coffee shops in Denver. Make sure to get here early though as it gets pretty crowded between 8-10am. Their coffee is great and they have wonderful baked items that seem to change daily. The only thing that could possibly improve is the speed of service but overall it’s a great spot!
Energetic coffee spot with beer, wine, and kombucha on tap as well. I tried the cortado and it was beautifully presented. The space is a bit loud, but there is outdoor seating if youd like a quiet place to talk. Novo has great roasts and the baristas are fast! A recommended place for caffeine enthusiasts and those looking to have a local beer.
Great espresso and friendly baristas. Their snacks are also delish.
I was always a big fan of NOVO in the past. I was extremely disappointed with our latest experience. The woman working was extremely rude (on a power trip). During a client meeting, she interrupted our conversation to kick us out after 30 minutes . There was one other person in the coffee shop and no one waiting (these rules make sense if people are waiting for a table but this was just unprofessional). We will relocate to another coffee shop in the future if she is working.
Love the coffee, usually love the people. Today I decided to pay cash because the girl was asking which tip card payers wanted her to select. Very Awkward for each customer before myself.
Great coffee!
Really delicious coffee. I tried the almond milk maple bourbon almond milk latte and it was delicious. A place I would get coffee on occasion as it was a bit more than I usually spend for a cup of coffee but the environment was nice and quiet and the staff was friendly.
Awful experience. I live in the building directly above. Walked by the store at 6am with my dog and the store was completely empty (per usual)Got back with my dog to my apartment, called and asked if they would start a latte for me as I was on my way my down *in the elevator. I live in the same building. Literally above the coffee shop*They said they will not do any sort of call ahead, although I was already on my way. This was at 6:15 am while the entire store was dead empty. Will never go back. Thnx
The staff were friendly and the coffee tasted great. Didnt really know what to get and ended up with a cappuccino. Asked for a small because I was used to other coffee shop sizes and what I got was a tiny cup, but it tasted great!I am sure if I went enough times I could find something that I love.My friend ended up getting an alcoholic Irish coffee and he loved his.
I think I might become a regular. Prices are appropriate for the quality.
Had high hopes- visiting from out of town, read the positive reviews. Cappuccino was very acidic and bitter - was able to drink it. The Iced Americanos my friend and I got were mostly water, maybe one shot in each 16oz cup - we threw them away - too bitter. Not naive, love strong espresso, this was just bad.
Love the vibe! Great coffee too
Great shop. Amazing coffee. Personable staff. Friendly atmosphere. One of the only shops open in downtown past 5pm, which is great. So glad I found this spot during my 2 days in Denver.Only downside is the music/atmosphere is a little loud, so bring headphones if you intend to study or read.
Coffee was pretty delicious. Atmosphere was professional yet cozy. Was here on a weekday relaxing and all the businessmen and women made me feel like I shouldve started a conference call while yelling at the top of my lungs about Karens poor choices for the office.
Consistently tied for the best coffee Ive had in the city. Friendly staff, comfortable atmosphere, and always great music.
Great downtown spot to grab a cup on the go or stay a while and work or read. Everything is hand poured and theyve got all the classic drinks and can do any twist or modification you like. Its popular so its busy during the rush hours but they pour a great cup of joe.
Great coffee, they tend to make it strong here & they have nice variety. The space is small but there are some good places to sit, they really take advantage of the nooks & crannies
Walked in 30 minutes before close. The barista was friendly and helped my friend and I with the menu. We loved our iced lattes! Very good tasting and good price .
This place serves coffee that you can only find at the finest coffee shops ever, I tried the latte because I was not in mood for flavors. The taste of the drink was so amazing that I kept coming back to get more coffee every day during the week I was staying in Denver. I would recommend this shop for the coffee lovers and addicts, be careful you might not enjoy other shops after trying this one and amazing shop.
Only good coffee I could find in the down town. But this place needs to learn how to offer an extra shot. You cant get a single extra shot it needs to be another double... never heard of this before.
Excellent coffee and brewing. Glad we discovered this place. Tried one of their featured cups in a pour over and then bought a bag of the same coffee! Excellent service, nice area to sit and hangout. Free wi-fi and clean bathrooms too.
Wont let you order over the phone. All i wanted to do was save 6min waiting for a pour over to get to my job on time. Not sure why this is different from ordering inthe store. Ill take my business somewhere else
Above average for coffee and barista quality. Would be an easy five stars if they opened earlier. Customers typically want their coffee before work so any shop open before working hours wins; for me.
One of the absolute best places to go while in Denver for coffee. Latte is an obvious choice, but they have a full selection of great tasting coffee going on. The staff is very friendly, and the atmosphere is very fun!
Stopped in because my phone was dead. The folks at Novo were unbelievably helpful, even more so if compared against the office buildings and 7-eleven from whom I had previously solicited assistance. Awesome people.
Design vibe manages to be both industrial & cozy. People were hanging out at the bar on one end while others were reading, working, and/or talking in the cafe seating on the other side. Has our thanks for being the only cafe in the neighborhood that stayed open past 5 on the Fri when we visited.
Quality drinks, and superb customer service. I enjoyed every sip to the last drop!!!
Beer and coffee, how can you go wrong?!? Was very impressed with the cold brew coffee here. A bit far from my work, but I’ll take the trip every once in awhile as I thought the coffee was excellent. Also had a tasty sour beer on tap!
This is a true third wave coffee shop, with sourcing, roasting, grinding, and brewing all cared for in equal measure. The coffee tastes wonderful, and the varieties are noticeably diverse. The atmosphere is pleasantly busy but rarely overcrowded, at least on weekdays when I visit. It hosts a perfect introverts happy hour, with just a couple of carefully selected brews on draft.
An island of salvation for anyone who seeks proper espresso coffee. Friendly and efficient staff, good range of beverages and, most importantly, coffee that would hold its own in the best corners of Australias coffee capital, Melbourne. Recommended...
Really good coffee and pastries. They also have kombucha (and beer!) on tap. Highly recommend the chocolate espresso doughnut paired with one of their seasonal latte flavors!
I love all of the Novo Coffees that Ive been to, and this one is no exception. I thought that being downtown it was going to be difficult to hold the one-on-one discussion that I had planned, but turned out that it was still a great venue business chat. Excellent latte and cold brew as always.
I love this coffee shop! Cute atmosphere, amazing oat milk iced lattes - especially with the seasonal syrup (honey orange was great) and friendly staff :) I enjoy coming here to read or catch up on emails when Im in the downtown area - plus its right off of 16th street mall.
Where do I start... excellent lattes, service was really on point and they make exceptions for customers. We had to get a few hours of work done and it was a great spot. If you appreciate good coffee, good service and cool decor then this is your spot!
Our experience here was sub par. It was incredibly warm and the employees acted as if they were annoyed we were there. They didn’t acknowledge our presence for several minutes while we waited by the register. It then took a while for our drinks to come out. It was just loud, warm and an overall uncomfortable experience.
Only one size for latte... no fun dairy alternatives like oat milk, the lack of variety makes it really no better than Starbucks. The coffee shop at union station is the best coffee in Denver in my opinion
Great tasting coffee, friendly baristas. Obviously not the most cost effective joint in the area. Interesting atmosphere and customers. I enjoyed that the coffee was served in a mug, but it does tend to get cold quickly- if you are having an hour meeting, you may need a refill to heat it back up. Will go back.
