My remote opener fell apart, and I went into the store to see if they could fix it. My battery was almost dead, so I bought batteries and returned. It was then discovered that one of the pins was missing, so I needed a new device. I couldn’t afford the $50 for a universal opener, so it was suggested that I try to replace my device online. I was able to do that for under $12, and when it arrived, I took both of them in and had the pins set to match my original device. I dealt with both Joy and Chris, and both of them were absolutely wonderful and helped solve my problem at a minimal cost. I would definitely use this company in the future!

Phil arrived right on time and had the garage door springs replaced within the hour. What a lifesaver - we had two cars stuck in the garage before he arrived and he not only helped get the door open, but replaced the springs and lubricated the entire door. We were having issues with one of our openers so I decided to replace both of them as the other one was old too. Called a few companies and the quotes seemed high. I purchased the openers from Home Depot and paid them for the double install. EGDS ended up being the installer. Joy called to set up the appointment and on the appointment day Juan the installer called to say he was on his way during the 2 hr window. He originally told me he would be there by 9:30am but called back right at 9:30am to say traffic was terrible and he was running 15 minutes behind. Great communication and I appreciated the updates!Juan arrived and got right to work. Ran through first what he was going to do and then got right to it. After the install he went through the features with the openers and made sure we were all set. But then she put me on hold and did some checking. Joy found a technician who could assist me. An hour later, and my broken garage door was operating again. My garage door would randomly open after closing. I called EFGDS and the person on the phone was very courteous and helpful. The tech was scheduled, came out and diagnosed the issue. Chris was an excellent technician. He quickly diagnosed what the problems were with my garage door. He untwisted the belt, which had been done by another garage service company. Clearly sloppy workmanship when new spring was installed 8 months ago. Unfortunately, the garage door installed is a Wayne Dalton Door and EGD cannot replace that specific spring mechanism. Then he said if he installed new rollers it would solve the noisy operation sounds that were bothering me. Problems solved. Once again EGD has the best service and most competent techs.

We had used this company for years.Scheduled an appt. and one of their employees arrived, looked at the broken spring from the door, said he had to get parts at the office, and would return.Several hours later my husband called and was told that employee didnt know how to fix it and had been sent on another call.(I know...unbelievable)They were supposedly going to call to reschedule (when would that be?)Tomorrow? No...next week.My husband got the parts at Lowes and fixed it in literally 15 minutes.Dont know if ownership has changed or what has happened to this place.

I used Efficiency Garage Doors for a new door and opener at my old home, and they did a nice job. So, I called them when I wanted the system at my new home inspected. I recommend asking them if they recommend the brand of opener at your home. The technician basically criticized my three year old system right from the start and couldnt reset the keypad for me. When I brought my concerns to the company, I received a $10.00 credit. I would have appreciated more of an effort to work with the system that I have instead of telling me it is garbage. When I do need a replacement, I will look elsewhere.Another company reset the keypad, and the opener and door are working well.

One of the garage door springs broke in the afternoon. They were able to send a repairman (Darick) the next day. He arrived promptly, worked around a car that couldnt be moved because of a dead battery, replaced the springs and even replaced the missing release handle. When he was finished, he explained what he had done and let me know the warranty. Efficiency Garage Door Service was recommended to us by our Property manager on another home. We had an excellent experience with Antonio who serviced our garage doors. Antonio came within the time frame specified. He explained what he was going to do, was friendly and very knowledgeable. We had a broken spring, so we had EGDS replace both. The price included a general tune-up, replacement of a few piece-parts on the door, and lube of both the opener (ancient 30+ year old screw-drive type) and the door. Phil (technician) arrived on time, was courteous, and spent time recommending lubrication products, and service schedules. Got a detailed invoice emailed to me. Ive used EGDS at least three times before (over the past 30 years, twice for springs, once to install a new door). Theyve always been fair, and dont push products...just doing what is needed.

We hadnt used our garage for cars for a few years since family members had inundated us with stuff from their households. My dear husband got a spot cleared out for my small car and the techs from EGDS were great. They gave me options about how to get the door working and had a replacement opener with them in the truck. My garage door was fully functioning, albeit needed some help, before EGD performed the what they call a “service.” Since the technician performed the service, I cannot open my garage door without having to finagle with the thing for 5 minutes or just open it manually...TLDR: I paid $100 for EGD to cripple my garage door even more, all while offering to sell me a new garage door motor.2) I was not quoted a service fee while scheduling the tech to come out. I was then charged $100 for a tech to tell me my garage door motor was going bad and he said, he did what he could to make it better. The garage door itself was not oiled, greased, or serviced in any way. Yes, the tech installed a slide lock as part of the service which now catches on the rail of the garage door as it opens, causing it to stop the door from opening smoothly.3) When I called EGD to attempt and resolve the issue I was told that it would cost me another service fee to have a different tech come out, but the same tech could come back out and take another look for free... I asked to have the tech come back out because I had already paid to have a service done, and didn’t want to have to pay more when the issue was made worse from the initial work done. The tech called me after receiving my request to have him come back out, and told me that he cant do anything else to help because my garage door motor is too old and took it upon himself to take my appointment off the schedule without my consent.4) Once receiving the voicemail from the tech, I requested that the service manager, Phil give me a call to discuss my situation. Upon receiving a call from Phil, I was berated by him, a manager, for the entire length of the phone call. He immediately raised his voice at me while trying to explain the already very apparent situation to me like his petulant, unruly, five-year-old. During the call he told me that I would not find any other garage door service business in Colorado that will give me a quote for a service beforehand. A simple Google search can prove him incorrect. He was unapologetic and unwilling to remedy the situation, and his appreciation for me as a customer (or an adult for that matter) was lacking in every sense of the word. His conduct was less of a manager, and more similar to someone attempting to pick a fight at a dive bar. The complete lack of professionalism of Phil was staggering.Honestly, Efficiency Garage Door took $100 dollars from me faster than it could have thrown it out my window. Throwing the money out the window would be better than giving it to a criminal front like Efficiency Garage Door, because at least someone honest has a chance at finding the bill on the ground.Dont let their fake 5-star reviews fool you...*Months later after a call back from the owner, more of the same... It is as if not one person in this company cares for the customer. This whole situation could have been remedied with a simple service refund. Instead you get dismissal from the technicians, yelled at by the managers, and told by the owner that there is nothing else they can do.

Writing this 3 hours after I called the company with garage door sensor issue that prevented the garage door from opening/closing. Shay came out very professional (wearing a mask), addressed the issue right away and made a few other recommendations on the maintenance. Considering the response time, free estimate, I believe their pricing is quite fair especially when other companies promised to come out for a fee no sooner than in a week.

Ryan came out on time and completely replaced our garage door. It was done in one hour and he completely explained how the system worked. It included the 2 openers plus on additional universal opener for guests. They were all paired and synced. The outside code box was also programmed. Ryan also helped fix a problem with sun light hitting the door sensors by tapping a card board cover to shield the sensor. Works great. Job was finished by showing how to keep the door and spring mechanism lubricated. Great job and professional to work with.

Called for emergency service late in the afternoon. A technician came right out and arrived at my house @30 minutes after the call. He did not have the parts on his truck to repair at that time, however he immediately placed a call and said another technician, Russell, could be out early the next morning. We agreed at 8:00 AM. Russell arrived the next morning at 7:45 with a helper. Russell was knowledgeable, prepared and efficient. He took care of my broken bracket and bent track as well as adjusted, tightened and lubricated my garage door. He did this in @ 45 minutes, which was truly amazing! The price was very reasonable. I found Russell very pleasant and would definitely recommend use Efficiency again in the future for my garage door needs!

The service was great. I had to call them twice in a 2 week period for different issues. It would have been nice to get a suggestion of 2 or 3 things to check before he came out the 2nd time. I had already narrowed it down to a sensor. Turns out it was just misaligned. He gently pushed it into alignment by moving it 1/2 an inch to the right and I paid almost $100 for that, which bummed me. I thought the sensor might need replacing, but now I know better; the light being off is a good indication it just needs alignment with the other one. Rookie mistake on my part.***Update 1/23/2018***I received a call from the office the very same day I posted this review. I was pleased that the woman who called from the office at Efficiency saw the issue and credited me back for the second trip charge. As I mentioned previously, the work they did was great, it was just the charge and no offer of suggestions of common fixes to my issue while I waited a few days for them to come back out that wouldve made it a 5 star experience. Now I will change it to just that and I will use them again should I ever need help with my garage door.

Casey, Phil and Danielle did an awesome job with a garage door in my rental property. The door was seriously misaligned. I asked that for their quote that they perform a realignment of the door and replace some rollers. I didnt see the results of the work and my tenant informed me that the door occasionally wouldnt close all the way before kicking back. I asked my tenant to set up a service call to see if we needed a bit more adjustment. Of course my tenant failed to call and I ended up following up 5 months later....well outside the guaranteed service window. When I contacted Casey and explained that we had reached out within the time he offered to honor the work under warranty even though he clearly would have been in his right to refuse. He sent Phil out who I met at the house. Phil is a solid expert in the nuance of garage doors...they require more talent than one might think at first blush. From the moment the guy answered the call I knew they werent going to BS me or try to nickel and dime me.
