Exceeded our expectations! Michael provided the music at our daughters wedding. He played the guitar before the ceremony, the bagpipes during the ceremony, and DJd & directed the reception. He is a talented musician!Michael is very experienced and organized, he made the musical process smooth...not one hiccup! He listened to what the bride and groomed wanted and had wonderful suggestions. We are very impressed! Our wedding was held at Willow Ridge Manor, a gorgeous and in-demand venue. Michael did an amazing job at our wedding. He played guitar for the bridal partys processional and bagpipes for the brides processional. Later he used these really cool up-lights to turn the event space into a party. He has a great voice on the microphone and MCed all the introductions/first dances/games. We gave him a short list of do/do not play songs and with that he knew how to fill in for just the right vibe for each phase of the evening.

We have been working with Michael for over 20 years. First enjoying his live performances on Classical Guitar and the Bag Pipes for years. Then we found out that he also was providing DJ services through Colorado DJ. What talent and variety! I enjoy telling clients when they are asking about DJ recommendations about how on more than one occasion I have seen Michael play guitar for the Brides entrance, bag pipes for the Couples wedding recessional and then DJ through the evening for the reception!As one of the established Wedding Venues in the Denver Metro area, we have a very high opinion and level of confidence in Mike and the music services he provides. Michael Lancaster was a pleasure to work with from the start. He was always quick to respond over email and very easy to communicate with. He was extremely flexible to change plans and even dates with us, since we got married during Covid-19 and our wedding plans had lots of changes. We ended up only using his services for our ceremony, as the reception was cancelled due to restrictions in place. He had great suggestions for the ceremony flow and was willing to do whatever we wanted to make the day extra special. He played guitar for us and it was beautiful! We are so pleased with his services and we wouldn’t of wanted anyone else to provide music for our special day.

We requested a bagpiper last minute for my Mothers funeral and the funeral home reached out to him. He was there on time and played beautifully graveside. I highly recommend Michael.

Michael was our DJ and played classical guitar at our wedding. During our ceremony and during dinner Michael really set the tone by playing the guitar which was such a magical addition to our already perfect day, he was also a trooper because we were married outside with falling snow in about 20 degrees. We’ve gotten so many compliments from friends and family remarking about how talented he is playing the guitar. In addition to his live music skills he was the exact DJ we were looking for and did a great job MCing and helping keep everything on schedule! We wanted to have a DJ who would keep the dance floor full all night long and he did not disappoint. He did an amazing job of playing music for each generation that we had at our wedding. Michael was so responsive and put any worries about the wedding at ease. He provided AV equipment during the ceremony and lighting at the reception. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for live music and a stellar DJ.

Michael played guitar and sang at our May 2016 wedding in Breckenridge. He performed processional, recessional, and during cocktail hour. He did a WONDERFUL job. Guests were complimentary and really enjoyed listening to him. He was also extremely professional, flexible, and easy to work with. I would highly recommend him!

Michael is a consummate professional and his artistry contributed substantially to both the joy and sorrow we celebrated during the memorial for my Mom. Two other Bagpipe organizations in Colorado Springs let me down even with 3 weeks notice and one didnt even return my call, but when I called Michael he took time out of his day to learn about my mother and custom tailor his music to her life and wishes. He learned and performed a new song in her honor on short notice, he traveled far in poor weather and was precisely on time, and when we started the memorial late due to the weather he filled the gap (and masked the sound of the generator we had to bring in to run heaters to combat the unexpected snow) with his gorgeous renditions. He saved the day and more than exceeded all expectations. Its hard to imagine that you could make the Garden of the Gods any more beautiful, but it was that day with Michaels music echoing softly off the canyon walls.
