Went in today to trade in some miscellaneous gear that I was no longer using and got a very fair price for what I was trading in. The employees were genuinely nice. Lots of cool old vintage stuff in there as well. I will definitely be doing business there again.

Picked up a great used Thunderbird today. The two gentlemen working were super nice and helpful. They really do have amazing gear here, cant wait to stop by again!

Saw an ad on Craigslist that brought me to this place to check out a guitar. The owner of this place has a lot of personality; Im all for it. This is the kind of guy I like doing business with. I got a great price for my trades, and Im more than happy with what I walked away with. The guys also tuned it to my specs for no extra charge (darn tremolo bridges). Overall, a sweet deal. Owner is a pretentious d bag. They clean all their products with windex and WD-40. It’s literally just a pawn shop. They’re objective is to screw you and get your gear as cheap as possible and sell it for as close to retail as they can. They have 2 good employees that I seriously feel bad for.

I was shopping around for an amplifier. One of the guys came over and talked to me for a couple minutes, and asked a few questions. He showed me this amplifier and I bought it on the spot. It was exactly what I was looking.

Not bad new location

If they knew anything about what they were selling, you wouldn’t know it. A pawn shop with a carny vibe. They don’t do returns, guitar adjustments, etc. The amps and keyboards didn’t work and they wouldn’t let me plug and play. I wasn’t sure what I was getting into, but when I asked Nate about a guitar behind the counter, He didn’t know anything about it. Ok, I get it, so I looked up some reviews. I was charged the full new price for a used guitar. Sometimes you buy a guitar and it isn’t what you want so you’d expect to return it. Not the case here. They don’t stand by what they sell and that’s my fault because I didn’t realize they were a glorified pawn shop.

Picked up a guitar, gig bag, and capo. The store was so clean, I was expecting the typical pawn shop vibe but was pleasantly surprised. Guy I interacted with was more than helpful and friendly. My next instrument will come from here without a doubt.

Place seems to only be good for buying and selling gear. Dont call expecting to be able to speak with anyone who actually knows or is willing to discuss adjustments to gear or instruments because they wont be able to help. Think only sales men and no actual musicians or subject matter experts, or at least none that care to help.

Stopped at Gravity Music with a friend to buy some gear, got half way through the place, and were told they were closed. We both were going to buy guitars at that point, but they werent willing to discuss prices unless we were paying cash today to buy the instruments. Thought discussing price took place before making purchase decision, but not at Gravity Music, where gravity just brings you down.

I first visited this store 3-4 weeks ago looking to sell my Saxophone. The gentleman I dealt with was very kind and understanding, and he made me an offer. I was just starting to try and sell this instrument, and I thought I might be able to get more for it elsewhere. So, he encouraged me to do so, and said that the offer he made was standing. Great, off I went.Fast forward to today, and I returned, ready to take the amount that I was offered. The gentleman I dealt with previously wasn’t there, and I explained to the other employee the discussion that was had weeks prior. He told me “oh yeah, we keep a log of the offers we make” but then added “but things can change.” After he did his research, he came back to me and made me a new offer, 40% less than what I was offered only weeks before. I told him I don’t think they (as a business) should say that their offers are “standing” just to change their minds weeks later.Even more frustrating, after scrolling through other reviews of this shop, I see the owner once said “As for customers selling their gear, we always like to offer as fair as we can but ultimately it needs to work for everyone. That is why we hold our offers so customers can shop around their items and make sure they get the best possible price. No pressure at all.”In my experience, this is a total lie. My advice to anyone looking to sell their gear here is this: If they offer you a price that day, don’t expect it to remain. I have some other instruments that I’m likely going to try and move down the road, but I won’t be trying to do so at this location since they can’t even stand by their word.

Awesome store! Really great selection for being all used gear. I came in one day looking for a tube amp and they had this little blackstar that was perfect. It was like 2 minutes within closing and they still let me play it and buy it. Really friendly guys and they gave me way more for my amp than I thought I would get. Definitely will be doing business here again.

Everyone spoke to, both over the phone and in person, were very polite and helpful. I left their shop with exactly what I was looking for, for the price I was hoping for and with zero attitude that most music shop guys have. I buy a lot of gear, 2-3 guitars a year, amps, cabs etc, and will definitely take a peek at what they have in stock when Im ready to purchase again.

Main guy was very mean when I asked him for help. Don’t visit has terrible amps and they are not trustworthy and they are broken. Bad Store Low Quality Bad Worker. DO NOT VISIT YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT they used bad words at me when all I asked was do you know how to fix this not I want my money back or return just do you know how later that day we went to a professional electrical engineer who could fix the amp for us I just feel like he tried to make it seem like we were the bad guys, DONT GO HERE.

The absolute best place in Denver to sell your used music gear. Nate at Gravity Music helped me out, and he offered a great price for the gear I was selling. I had to stop myself from purchasing any new guitars during my visit, but they have excellent gear at reasonable prices. Five stars.

Was only there once. They were nice, had a decent selection. The used instrument (electric guitar) I picked up plays great and the price was fair.

I like supporting local but kind of fealt like I was taken advantage of. They knew I wanted to get rid of my gear and didnt want to pack it all up and shop around as they offered so I took a low ball offer.The guys seemed nice enough and Im sure I could have argued or haggled but it would be nice to not have to struggle to get what something is worth.

Nice place with good prices on used gear. Wouldve been 5 star if their trade-ins were a little more competitive price wise but still worth checking for deals.

I casually mentioned a guitar seen on Craigslist from Gravity to my out of state girlfriend. A few weeks later, at Christmas, a gentleman came to my door holding a guitar in a gig bag, and told me he had a present from my girlfriend! Nice guitar, and super delivery service from Chris at Gravity!

This is the best shop in town! You can always find a used treasure here, we have bought so much gear from these guys and we always get a killer deal on a great score. Used amps, vintage and unique guitars, outboard gear, keyboards, cases...they have it all! It changes every day and its worth checking in to see what they have. Also, they buy gear and pay good $$$ for it when you need cash to get something else, and they also take trades on gear which is huge!! 10/10, these guys are the BEST in Denver!!!!!

The store itself is a great store. As far as selling your gear to them goes- they’re kind of fair. That’s the best way I can put it. They claim to give the highest offer right off the bat. Sure, whatever. I’ve sold to them a lot. I appreciate doing business with them. Just know that they’re at least going to offer you 30% below retail value, and then mark it up at least 40% to make their money. All good and standard resale practices. What else can you expect I suppose. If you don’t know a lot about the items you’re bringing to them though- they’ll probably take advantage of that.Shopping here is awesome and the guys are knowledgeable, the prices for customers (rather than the sellers) are alright.

Its ok but not enough variety

This is the best music shop around. If you are looking for a great deal on consigned guitars, amps or accessories, this shop has great prices. I bought a guitar and amp here in august for killer deal, then several months later came back to buy a few cables. They cut $10 off the price and gave me a handful of fender picks for free. Support these guys and support local business!

This place is absolutely killer. They have great prices on used gear and are always willing to negotiate. Every time I have walked through the doors here, Ive left spending less than I expected with more/higher quality gear than I hoped for. Cool place with a decent selection of new and used gear for a smaller shop. Chris was very cool and made the shopping experience with my girlfriend a good time. The prices and trade rates are what you expect. Good local alternative to the chain and worth checking out.

Bad customer service, poor attitude and bad prices!

Went in to buy a guitar amp and the staff didnt offer any assistance or a greeting so this is why Im giving Gravity a one star. Mayne next time I trying shopping the staffs confidence will be higher and Ill be able to give a proper rating. I hope this review helps the owner of Gravity.

I had a great experience buying a guitar from Gravity. Helpful and friendly folks and a really laid back attitude. It probably helped that I did my research and knew what I wanted to pay for the guitar before I started. I felt completely at home with what seemed to be honest, straight up folks trying to cut a good deal for both of us.

Employees seemed very nice and reasonable. Good selection of used gear. They were honest and understood my position on a guitar I was thinking of selling, cant ask for much more.

Gravity Music Gear has always been extremely reliable. I acquired an amplifier from them the first time I visited the store have been satisfied with the quality of the amplifier and the level of service and professionalism. I have also conducted multiple purchases via the telephone where Gravity has given me honest advice again. Overall they are a good business and treat customers fairly. I don’t plan on going to another shop without checking with them first.

Intermittent reward keeps me wondering if Im missing out on a gem if I dont drop in. Small store, they still haggle appreciate having them in the community.

I love going into this shop just to see what unique stuff they have in that day. Ive sold a lot of gear to them over the years and they have consistently paid more than other places In town. I recommend Gravity if you want a quick buyer for your gear, or if youre like me, you can trade for something cool that comes in and end up with more gear than you have space for.

Theres a great selection of used gear. Ive sold and bought more than a few guitars here. Ill be back once the wife forgives me for the last guitar I brought home....

Good place, little pricey.

It has come a long way in the last 2 years. It was off and on pretty sparse in there and not much staff. But my latest visit with my brother who bought a beautiful beautiful instrument at a very good price., the place had changed quite a bit it was well stocked with guitars electric and acoustic guitars as well as several nice amps. There was plenty of knowledgeable staff on hand. I will return. Im happy I gave it another chance. One or two bad experiences is no reason not to give a business another go. Especially a local business.

Recently made them an offer for a hi-hat they had listed on an online auction site. Their admin laughed at my offer and told me next time I want something to not be so cheap! Do not do business with such rude people.

Avoid this music store (pawn shop) at all cost. The owner was not knowledgeable at all regarding high-end music equipment and then proceeded to low-ball an offer as he did not believe we knew the value of our equipment. We were then screamed at after requesting a fair price and insulted. We packed up our equipment to leave and then we were followed and insulted more as we were trying to leave. Then the owner threatened to call the police (not sure for what reason) as we were leaving and instructed us to stay put. The store is in a very sketchy area and I do not recommend visiting unless you want to be taken advantage of and accosted.

A kind of quirky little store specializing in used instruments mainly guitars a wide selection of price points and types of guitars. They also have some band instruments and other music equipment the staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. I saw their ad on Craigslist called and then they put the item on hold and I went in and paid for it and picked it up. It was a very easy process and I would do it again.

Guys are cool and always up for trades. They are willing to work with you to get the gear you want at a great trade or price. Never a bad experience.

I came in to buy a guitar for my boyfriend and had no idea what I was doing! I was super freaked out about buying the wrong thing but these guys couldnt have made it easier for me!! Chris was the best and he asked me a bunch of questions and showed me multiple options to make sure I bought the right one. He even talked me into buying the less expensive guitar b/c he felt it was the best for my boyfriend. If you need any instrument you need to see these guys...THEY ROCK!!!
