So I had my check up and was tolled that I need reading glasses. So I went for it. I pick out the frame and was tolled that it’s going to take 2 weeks. 2 weeks ago by I call to see if they ready was tolled that it’s going to be a couple more days. Three weeks later I call again because god for it they call me. Was tolled that they are ready. I went and got them and try ed them on but I was having trouble seeing cause of the mask and that they were getting foggy. So I come home and try them on I was having Difficult reading I had to keep what ever I was reading far way up close couldn’t see. So I’m saying to my self what’s the point of having this when I can’t see close. So called them and tolled them the situation and had to go back explained the situation and was tolled that they could change them to two different lens I sad ok. So now I’m waiting for someone one else. She comes and explains what is going to happens and that I had to pay an extra $ 97 I’m like what why do I have to pay again. Her explanation was that this ones were already done and can not be returned. I got very upset cause I already payed for something that don’t work me and now I have to pay again it doesn’t make sense it’s horrible. So I grabbed the glasses and stormed out extremely up set. So I Basically stuck with glasses that I can’t use. I will not Recommend this place to anyone even my kids will go there anymore.

I can understand why there are so many one-star reviews. Dr. Stein seems competent, but his eyeglasses are over-priced, and customer service is non-existent. They gave me a hard time about re-using my old frames, which the woman said were ready to fall apart, but were actually in very good condition, and I insisted they be re-used. Theyre still fine. My wife recently dropped her glasses, bought at Eyeworks, and they broke in half at the bridge. My wife called, and the woman said that there was nothing they could do; that the frames were discontinued, and that she would need to get new frames and lenses. This turned out to be false. The frames are readily available online, and I will replace the lenses myself, which is very easy after watching a YouTube video. Eyeworks has lost another customer.

I called to make an appt for a contact exam based off of my existing exam that I received from my health plan. My existing one is good for a year, but they said they refuse to work with it. That they need one thats less than 3 months old. Not sure why I called in the first place because they did a lousy job with my lenses and frames a couple years ago.

Very good customer service. Very good selection of frames and with insurance you can get a really good deal. Although, I went back to get fit for contacts and the doctor was very frustrated and had no patience for my situation (got fit with 3 different type of contacts because my eyes kept being uncomfortable) and he sort of gave up and told me contacts arent for me. Was very disappointing with that. Id go back there for glasses because my insurance gives me a good deal and they have new tech for eye exams (no air blowing machine, its some sort of laser instead) but not for contacts.

I found the doctor to be incredibly unprofessional. My apt ended up being way longer than necessary because he was too busy ranting about how little he gets paid by insurance, etc. to actually get the check up done. I felt incredibly uncomfortable, and rather annoyed about how much of my time was wasted. In addition, their policies and procedures regarding patient privacy are lax. They have at least one complaint reported for HIPAA violations.
