Easy and nearby trip. Merle Hay isnt a super location, but it has enough products to hold you over before you may need to get to an actual full grocer. Team members ease of assistance, very friendly and helpful. Has an attached Starbucks if you need a cup of coffee.

More expensive compared to other department stores does seem to be better quality stuff though. So if you have the few extra dollars per items to spend and want a most likely longer lasting better quality item then Target is your one stop shop! Enjoy and thank you for shopping at Target! 🎯

Absolutely love this target, they always have great bullseye prices and all I need is at target, staff Is so friendly, store is always so clean as well as all the lanes are clean.. great job everyone the manager Renata assisted me and she was so wonderful and friendly with my return then I had a great cashier named Daisy she was such a wonderful young lady made my checkout super fast, and it was just a great experience I will definitely be checking out with her each time she is a wonderful flower like her name.. thanks for such a great experience.

So went to the store and bought stuff and had some money left in the gift card. But then when we went to use this money it said it didnt work. The cashier tried to help us but it didnt work for him to. So he called the supervisor. The supervisor kept saying that we already spend it and we showed her the receipt that said there was no money left. But she didnt even care and kept saying you probably spent it already. The cashier told his supervisor that there was money in the card but she ignored and kept saying we used it already.+

My sisters and I love to shop at Target weekly. We also get flavored coffees at the Starbucks inside the Merle Hay, Des Moines Target. Great prices, selection and helpful staff at that store. We can always find a huge assortment of seasonal items.

Man. I thought the Target in STL was miserable. This was outstandingly bad. I had people reaching around me for stuff, no excuse mes or hey can I get past you? None of it. They just fit themselves around you and start reaching. The staff really arent much better, there seems to be no customer first rule (in any sense of it) and many times had i not been paying close attention I wouldve been run over with a stocking cart because they dont watch for people, they seem to just assume youll move. I had one guy move the stock cart in front of the freezer I was pulling from and then dragged his feet about moving somewhere else so I gave up on my items. I never thought I could miss the Lou, but I sure do. Finding somewhere else to do my shopping even if its Whole Foods with a few extra dollars on top.

I have only one complaint, and that is the condition of the packaging of a couple of the food items in my order. Its enough to make me not want to use this pick-up service again because I dont appreciate getting food in destroyed packaging. The package of organic flour tortillas was in really bad shape, looking like someone had played hockey with it on a warehouse floor. The package was also sticky on the outside and the tortillas were crumbled and torn. Id like to return this item to the store for a replacement. However, that defeats the purpose of placing a no contact pickup order, doesnt it.

I enjoy shopping at Target because I am usually able to find the items that I want to purchase from Target. However, on this trip, I was not able to find any Yankee Candles. I have purchased Yankee Candles at Target before and made this trip to Target specifically to purchase some Yankee Candles. But it appears that Target does not carry Yankee Candles anymore and that was upsetting.

My mother is in an handicap electric cart these employees not only make sure her groceries are in her cart they escort her out of the store to beyond the red balls help her get her groceries in the car and take the cart back for her I appreciate the help

I really like shopping here. It’s expensive but that’s most places honestly. However, I have a torn ligament and have to use crutches. I get tired walking and can’t grab anything I need because I can’t carry it. They have recently made it where there is only 2 driveable carts now instead of 4. Employees are not helpful at all.

While the Target at Merle Hay is fine for some routine shopping, you definitely want to AVOID the PHOTO KIOSK! I submitted photos online, got confirmation email that they should be ready in 2 hours, but never got a ready message. Called the next day and they said the kiosk was down, maybe for days. Then a half-day later I got an email saying the order was ready to print and gave instructions of what to do at the kiosk. I made a special trip there within less than a half-hour of the email. Kiosk has an out of order sign on it. Employee at guest services said honestly the kiosk is not very good - down much of the time. Couldnt explain why I got an email notice to come in to print the photos. Suggested I call corporate customer service -- as if that would do any good. Just going to make sure I never try to print photos at this Target again... and it soured me on the store overall.

I love Target, and I love the remodel, but where are the cashiers? The last 2 times I was there it was A weekend morning. That is time I like to shop when it is not busy. They only had the self checkouts open no human cashiers. When I go I buy about $200-$300 in stuff. Mostly it’s everyday household items and personal hygiene products. So self scanning that much stuff is a hassle. It took my Cartwheel discounts but it took forever to do so it would not scan my gift card, so I could not use it on this trip. I’m just asking for maybe one or two human cashiers to be available on weekend mornings. I can’t be the only one that likes to do a major Target shopping trip on weekend mornings.

I like this target because its convenient but I had shopped at the mall before I went into Target so I had a bag of purchases from another store and I went to try on some clothes in the fitting room and I was greeted with a HEY from the fitting room attendant to which I replied hello then she informed me that I needed to leave my bag my belongings with her. I replied Um NO Im not going to leave my possessions with you, No Thanks. I put the stuff back that I was going to try on and left the store. I think it would be wise to post that you cant take your possessions in the fitting room with you if that is the case. Ive never been in a store where the clerk asked to hold my belongings while I tried something on. Whats next, hold my purse?

A friend and I were doing some bike shopping today and found the perfect bike. Unfortunately, there was something wrong with that specific one and we were unable to purchase it. Sharlene and Renata helped us and they were fantastic. They apologized and even went above and beyond to help us get that bike. Never have any registers open. When they do the clerks cant seem to figure basic math. The kid who checked me out had typed in that I gave him 10.48 for my total of 7.48. I had given him 10.50. It took him a good two minutes to figure out I needed $3.02 since he typed it in wrong. He gave me the $.02 and shut his drawer. I had to ask about the $3.00. I think more training and more cashiers are definitely needed!

If I could give a 0 stars I would we walk in to target and they tell my daughter we are not going to be running around this time and I say she hasn’t been in here at all keep in mind the manger Chris is talking to us he says she was in here 5 minutes ago but we were actually at Rosses dress for less so we walk off and I tell my daughter not to listen to him must be mistaken you for someone Else he over herd me and told me to leave so I do and 4 kids run in there and he doesn’t do a thing🙄!

The worst costumer service in guest services. I tried to return an item from my gift registry, and was told I couldn’t return anything from it after 30 days. I wouldn’t recommend doing a baby registry with target if that’s the case! I was also told that I was lying about the fact that I hadn’t opened the product. I went to a different target location and they were so much more helpful.

Manager Grant, Mary A., and Ryan independently went out of their way to help with a difficult purchase due to a miscommunicafion from what I imagine was a newly hired associate. Grant obviously sets the tone for hard work and assistance through example, and his workers follow lead.

This is a nice Target. Just recently remodeled and easy to find the stuff you need and the stuff you didnt come for but buy it anyway. Lots of quality products and brands at a decent price. Staff were good the few times ive went to the lane but dont really need to talk to them with self checkout. Usually lines are pretty long.

I have not had very good experiences shopping at Target. I find them to be suspicious of returns even when done properly and within the correct time frame. Even if an employee wants to provide good customer service they are blocked by a corporate mentality that is not customer friendly. I only shop here as little as I can.

Went to find a top and a pair of dress pants for a meeting, and when i got to the womens department all i could hear was the associates (roughly 5/6 of them) talking loudly about celebrities and their lives and who was having the latest affair along with pointing out how ugly the clothes were that they were hanging. When i asked if they had any dress pants i was pointed in the direction of a rack that had black pants on them i proceeded to let them know that those were not dress pants but rather just black yoga type pants and i was told oh well then i guess we dont have any left. While they walked away and went back to what they were doing. Not very helpful at this store, think ill stick to valley west one

I love Target, but had a terrible experience with a very rude employee. My sister-in-law and I were putting our cart away after shopping and apparently put it in the wrong place (we had one of the bigger ones with the child seats attached, and put it off to the side lined up behind two others off to the side). The employee then loudly started to scold and yell at us for just leaving it there in front of my two young children (3 and 1). Ive never been treated so poorly by a Target employee, or any other employee for that fact. Im sure that this employees actions dont reflect those of all other employees in this particular store, but it will definitely cause me to utilize other Target stores in the area to avoid being treated that way again.

Visit this location if you like long lines and hassles! Whenever I visit this target, there is only one checkout lane open, as they only want people to use the self-checkout lanes. Except that these machines work slowly and poorly, so you have to wait for an employee to come around to fix things 2-4 times per checkout. Terrible experience every time.

This one has to be the second worst Target in the Des Moines area.The store is often disorganized and kind of dirty. Its always hard trying to make out what items are actually on sale because people are always leaving all kinds of stuff in the sale sections.It is not a coincidence that this store is this bad and attached to the mall, as the only Target that is worse is the Southridge one.The only reason it gets 3 stars is because it does have some good deals here, but youre usually better off going to a stand-alone store.

My fiancé and I will NOT be returning to this location. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. We tried to buy an item off the shelf from the home decorative department. A decorated frame with a quote to hang on the wall. Before we went up to the register we scanned the item at the self-price checking machine in the aisle. The machine read it just fine and told us the price. We arrived at checkout and the cashier said, We cant sell you this item because its no longer in the system and it was recalled. We asked for a manager and the female manager told us the same thing- confiscated the item - apologized ONCE - then responded with, ..theres nothing I can do about it. Then she walked away with the item. This was very upsetting because she didnt do anything to help the situation or give back some form of compensation. We then called the corporate number-explained the situation- and we got the same RESPONSE! 😤 the representative on the phone was apologetic but again - no compensation - NO RESOLUTION! 😲 she just ended the conversation with, We appreciate your feedback. SMH!! Like I said before we will not be returning to this store and will possibly discontinue shopping with the company all together. 😡

Called and spoke w/ the store Manager (Margret ) about a complaint and she was very disrespectful and rude about the whole thing. The first time I called she hung up on me in mid sentce and said sorry about that bye. So I went in here on May 20th of 2017 and I was going to pick up a movie that was on the website went to the store cuz it was at the store and talk to one of the people in the audio video Department and give me the number and told him what it was he looked it up they said it would be in back came back said that they discontinued that item. The guy who helped me he really did not know what he was talking about. Then I called the customer service talk to the manager I told them that was on the website it should be in the store. She got really really snotty with me saying Ive got customers to take care of and so on and so forth. So I just hung up the phone with her had a really really bad experience here and I definitely WILL NOT BE BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
