Not much to offer anymore. Dont even think it should be considered a mall. It used to be a mall now its a couple stores and a lot of vacant buildings and parking lots

Went during tax free weekend but it seemed the stores were not prepared for the traffic. 2nd time I’ve visited this mall and very busy area. Did get some good deals at Marshall’s & Ross. Wish they had more restaurant selections in this area.

Went to Target to shop. The store was well taken care of. I worked in a clothing store uts hard to keep things nice. But it was amazing to see everything in place .

I think there could be more opportunities for the chance of getting to be able to making it more simpler every day going? By building more openly thoughts and opynions about what they think of the resources to get a chance to see if our community organizations could build more stores there. But its always been a good place to go shopping on the weekend and spend time with your family members and friends.

Rude to my friend who has tramatic brain injury. They think he is drunk because he stumbles and gets confused, sometimes falls. Sometimes he has to rest outside the store before attempting to walk home, so they think he is loitering. They say they have banned him from their store. Some employees kick him out, some dont. He needs their helpful smile in every aisle!!!

Alright stores and not too busy. Love the Marshalls there, I could spend hours in it. Good place to go look around for good priced stuff.

It Will Not Allow Me To Delete It; Just Edit It.I only go a few places here when someone drives me and loads my walker in their vehicle. I try to walk without my walker and use a grocery cart when I can. The reason I only gave 4 stars is because it becomes more difficult at some stores here to find anyone to help find some of their inventory and they dont seem to keep their stock out on the display shelves like they should. I have even been told there is more inventory in the back that hasnt been put out. Its very convenient for me here and close by because most of my shopping for this trip each month can be done in this area. Its disappointing while spending my fixed income how difficult it is to find a restroom available or offered to the customers but I did find one at Fareway.If I lived in this area I would shop here more often.

We end up going to pro shop.We found everything we needed their. They have all sizes of clothes for everyone. The store attending was very polite and I enjoy shopping at pro shop.

Sad and depressing to see what has happened to this mall.Ive got a feeling that taxpayers are going to have to pay to eventually tear it down.

I believe I only went to the China buffet it was nice I just didnt like the burrbon chicken it was to soft however the honey chicken was great since it was a lot stiffer also my rating will be low since the grill wasnt open and I wasnt able to try everything

From being a mall to a strip mall now, instead of going inside youll have to visit each store individualluly outside. All in all, for what it is it still pretty nice to come to.

We ate at the New China buffet. There cant be abetter China buffet anywhere in the Des Moines area!

Kid goes to school here. Sealing inside the mall entrance leaks so theres a whole bunch of totes right inside the entrance. There was a bird that was in there a week or so ago. Super empty kinda creepy.

About half the building in the picture are no longer there. The parking lot is crumbling. Its on the downhill.

Went to Target looking for different things because we are redecorating our house. Found a lot of nice new things.

They did a beautiful job on my dog. People love her painted nails

South ridge was the best mall when I was in high school. Went to Maurice and just how the mall looks, the roads are bad, no lines defined on the pavement for traffic, its a sad place. They need to bring in some new business and bring it to life.

I used to work at Southridge Mall many years ago and it saddens me to see how it is being underutilized! There is so much space that could be used especially on the back side of the mall. I hope to see it bring new venues and community improvement as we start a new year. Maybe a family community center and possibly an art venue. Just my personal thoughts, I guess would be give our youth positive things to do in the community so they grow up and want to raise their families here also.

Really gone down hill over the years. The parking lot is a testament to needing the area overhauled

Went to foot locker... was a waste of time as usual. Never have any shoes for my husbands size and the employees were more worried about there phones then trying to make a sale

Theres only a few good places at Southridge Mall they used to be a better mom but now this pathetic going good thing there is JC and hobby and Target and maybe Yonkers

Was around when first built and still around today but thanks to online shopping sad to see people rely on their phones to shop and not do what they should be doing supporting local business partners.good old days are gone to this place

I miss the old mall. The many hours relaxing in the food court with friends. The late 90s early 2000s were the best years there.

Really working hard to grow back and be fantastic. Hoping some new shops come to the mall to give it that next step

Grew up with this place being a pretty decent and popular mall. Now its all a strip mall. Its not bad though, good store options.

I hope this area bounces back. Used to be a great mall back in the day. Parking needs attention and some better food choices, otherwise not bad for an outdoor collection of average stores.

I went to Pet Smart. They had what I needed great experience.

I still love Southridge! Sure MISS it the way it used to be when I was growing up! It used to be a booming place!

I like this place but the should put more stores there and more of a variety but overall I do enjoy the scenery and the stores they have there now I really miss the old Southridge mall though.

South Ridge Mall is a nice place on the south side of Des Moines Iowa. By Auto is an easy in and out with bus service to and from same location. With a Target store, and an Hy Vee food store, shoe stores, and finally even a Movie theater ( forgive that spelling,) a pleasure to be at, attend, and buy most anything the average consumer needs on an on going bases.Lastly parking is no problem even on busy days. The management and give credit to the staff, nothing would be possible without them, are wonderful, kind and diligent.Thanks for your time and consideration for my review, be kind to one another and stay safe, thanks Don.

Five stars Southridge Mall has really done an upgrade really like the outdoor Store service would definitely recommend

Best thing about it is the multiple bus stops. Everything that was good closed their doors.

Always have good food and good staff. They had to change some things after covid-19 but its almost the way it was before.

Love the New China buffet. Southridge needs to fix the parking lot.

If youre looking to go shopping for a wide variety of options...Id probably choose another shopping mall.

Good for walking since there are not many stores open.

The mall itself is not great. It doesnt look well managed or clean. I bought some of the dots icecream once and it was stale and old. However, the stores around the mall center I find myself visiting at times. Foot Locker and Shoe Carnival both have decent shoes. Ross has some interesting clothes. Target is also close by. Overall, there isnt much need to enter the mall itself, you can enter the places you need externally.

Dont shop here often but they have a good variety of shops. I miss the mall from when I was a teenager and the carousel.

Needs some work and more stores. But a very convenient location.

Want to visit target and they were clean with great selection of every thing.

There used to be so many shops and department stores to visit. Its kind of like visiting a ghost town. There are a few stores left along with a Hy-Vee.

The only reason I visit this area anymore is for T-mobile and Target. It used to be such a populated and colorful place but now its just a plaza with failing businesses and empty space. On a side note, its also a very great place to teach kids to drive.

DMACC has college classes available at the Southridge Mall. Very friendly and laidback atmosphere, great learning experience.

Looks out of touch with time, like an abandoned temple almost. First thing you see is the empty theater and its decaying parking lot followed by a lack of activity as most vehicles are there for Hy-Vee or target. Other than that it can be a nice place to shop if you wanna get away from crowds at the bigger malls

Its got a couple places I like. Just wish they would bring back the mall.completely instead of a little strip mall.

Several food and treats to choose from. I like a Variety selection of toys to choose from, and Petco is the best Ive seen. Staff was very helpful. The medications are pretty much all natural. Its not just for our furry purry loving friends,,,,, I bought myself a face mask with a kitty face. Definitely worth the trip.🤓
