Just got a shipment but had a very minor delay on it. There was a handwritten note from the person who packed the product into an envelope that says sorry this was so delayed!. That to me is outstanding customer service. I wasnt even concerned with the delay at this point but Im really glad that RAYGUN is cognizant of these things. If I needed another reason to love them more... to add to the thousand other reasons that I already have, this is one for sure.

This place was a ton of fun. The store is clean, well organized and had a large variety of sizes to pick from.Bonus: they had a huge clearance rack with $7 t shirts.

This is a really cute store. Its got a lot of funny and relatable products. Im not sure it lives up to the the greatest store in the universe hype, but its definitely got some hallarious items. Its great for looking for funny gifts or statement shirts. I like the feel of the place.

They make some excellent prints. I usually go for enamel pins and stickers for my water bottle. If youve never been, worth checking them out from time to time!

Funny t-shirts and other things focused on the midwest.

This used to be a fun place to shop but not anymore. On my last visit I noticed they have become too political and biased on certain topics. It seems that their new target market is liberal/democrat. As an independent I respect the opinions of both sides sadly Raygun does not.

I went to Raygun once…. I used real American money to purchase several items I will treasure during all the rest of my years walking this planet. If I could live inside of Raygun… that would be best. Because I’d never be too far from the awesome selection of items that will be sure to make your friends jealous and all people swoon. Raygun provides for you… please take advantage of their treasures. Do it today!

Definitely the greatest store in the universe! I have an extensive collection of T-shirts from the past 12 years. You can always find a gift for anyone and I love to browse the shop and laugh. Their online ordering and pick up option has been awesome during Covid. I love everything they do and I’m wearing one of my favorite shirts from them as I type this.

Every time I visit this place the staff are super friendly and they have new fresh products available. My only problem with them is that they make me spend a lot of money!

A really fun store full of midwest goodies in the East Village. Had a great time walking around and checking out the merch. Staff was very friendly. They have a cool kids play space and are dog friendly! Definitely worth a visit.

So many fun options in store to shop around. Ive always has the best experience and customer service when ordering from here. I recently had a custom order completed as a gift before a trip. Went to pick up and item wasnt printed correctly. They re-did it in 15 minutes...cant beat that turnaround. Will definitely keep coming back for future purchases.

Used to be kind of a fun place to shop. Some of the messages on their tee shirts are great, but a few have become downright offensive...especially when marketed for children.

I cant believe the famous online t-shirt shop has their headquarters in Des Moines. How lucky am I to be a resident of Iowa. If youre looking for awesome shirts printed on quality t-shirts, look no further. A very liberal leaning group of artists sometimes making some very politically charged t-shirts that are both funny and poignant of the Iowa/Midwest political climate. I swung by the store recently to pick up the now famous The People of Gilead Welcome You t-shirt commemorating the passing of the fetal heartbeat bill in Iowa legislature. I hope the greatest store in the universe will continue to thrive and make more awesome t-shirts.

I live in TX but Im from Iowa and am always happy to order from small companies like Raygun! I ordered 3 shirts and had to exchange them for different sizes. The customer service was excellent and shipping was quick! I will be ordering from them a lot more in the future! Highly recommend!

We LOVED Raygun. My new in-laws recommended this as a fun place to get some merchandise that pokes a little fun/has a sense of humor about Iowa, Des Moines, and other Midwestern fly-over States (as Raygun lovingly calls them). I got some GREAT souvenirs and there were a ton of other cool things I wanted to take home. Their t-shirts seem to be their main attraction. They had some more tame sayings (I bought one that said Iowa Until I Die-Owa) to funny ones about rivalries between Midwestern states, to ones that poke fun of classic Midwest things (like marshmallows in salad). They have a bunch of magnets, journals, stickers, keychains, etc at other price points as well. I usually have a hard time finding souvenirs but it was pretty quick for me to find something for everyone (and myself). This was SUCH a fun place and they even had a pretty decent little coffee shop attached for some refreshment. I liked it so much I might look for gifts on their online site in the future. If you like to grab trinkets or shirts on your travles, dont leave Des Moines without visiting!

This store is a Des Moines staple and is simply wonderful. Ive been happy to see the expansion of their stores - including Chicago. The designs of the shirts are simple but always are clever, thoughtful, or hilarious... worth every dollar. Be sure to check them out when you have time to browse since there will always be something on the shelves you didnt realize you needed.

Awful customer service and very bad selection

A great place to take out-of-towners for some authentic Des Moines/Iowa/Midwest themed souvenirs. The East Village neighborhood has a lot to offer in Des Moines but this is easily my most visited shop down there. It’s so much more than a small, local t-shirt shop: RAYGUN has exploded all over the midwest. I loved visiting the location in the KC Crossroads when I lived there.

Very unique shop filled with Iowa love & humor. Cute items for kids too.

I really havent gone to the store. I ordered online. A couple of t-shirts I got just to wear to doctor appointments. At least in this time of Covid I think theyre ironically funny.

I always find at least 3 fun, quirky shirts I MUST have when I visit Raygun. They take care of the Midwest’s odd personalities with sayings & mantras that only a person from that geographic location would understand through tongue & cheek sayings printed on colorful tees & apparel. ❤️ Raygun!

Super Chill spot for some fun and quirky shirts. Lots to choose from and have plenty of reserve in the back. Parking is very easy. Plenty of street parking and cute little shops near by.

Spent much more time in this place than I thought I would. Very entertaining, and the marketing genius is all over the place. There’s even a book at the checkout about the random things said by people browsing. Self-deprecating, heartwarming, and some just plain funny stuff.

Always a great experience. From clothing choices with pictures and quotes that make you laugh, to clothing that is so unique you cant live without. Book choices are well thought. Accessories endless from buttons to totes. Customized for all tastes. Cant resist their postcards. Kids section has unique clothes and accessories also. Checkout staff are very accommodating. If you havent tried the coffeeshop you are really missing out an excellently executed blend from coffee to hot chocolate, perfection in a cup.

Visiting from out of state. Stumbled upon this place by accident, but was drawn in by its big, bold statement outside. Found many kitsch items. The only interaction I had was when I made my purchase at the register. Went to the coffee shop next door, and it was there that I was told about the uniqueness of the shop, and how things are printed right there on location. Had I known I may have purchased more. Oh well. Coffee was great!

The people working at this store exude Midwest nice. Now, that doesnt mean theyre going to walk up to you, shake your hand, and start asking you questions about your life. Rather, theyll stock the shelves, stand behind the counter, make eye contact with you without saying anything, perhaps ask you if they can help you find anything, but when you start up a conversation with them, theyll be able to politely, amiably, and kindly hold that conversation. Whether youre asking questions to figure out what one of the clever shirts means, talking about a memory you have that relates to this cool magnet you found, or just asking where the bathroom is, their Iowa nice will show through.Also, the gear they sell is pretty neat.

Im always surprised by how quickly they have new, perfectly snarky merch after something ridiculous happens in the news. Even better, I love that they work with local groups to raise money for worthy causes.

I felt like the whole time I was in the store I was saying oh my gosh - look! Its obvious that the people who work here are very creative and love what they do. You have to have a good sense of humor to fully appreciate this place. So many different things to choose from (shirts, magenta, art, lip gloss, sunglasses, socks, postvards,... A definite stop and f you are in Des Moines!

First time here since they moved locations. Love the selection of unique shirts and home goods. I also love the political stuff. We liked going here to look around while we waited for our table at Zombie Burger. Definitely worth checking out.

Very cool shop! Im not a liberal by any stretch but still enjoyed the humour on offer. Very wide range of stuff, and when they were out of stock on something I wanted they offered me free international shipping for when they got stock in.Unfortunately the sizes run very small, I dont live solely off soy chai green lattes and small strips of celery so the tee shirts I got are a bit tight around my accumulated mass. Consider buying a size up if youre larger than a small twig.

The slogans and sayings on the apparel is great but my favorite part is the material its made with, so very comfortable.The store has a politically liberal bent so if you know an alt-righter, bring them here and watch their head explode. Youll be doing society a favor by causing an alt-right meltdown.

I walked in with high hopes knowing some of the funny shirts that they have printed. My husband and I walked in, saw a display promoting abortion, and walked right back out. I am very disappointed that this company takes the stand for the murder of innocent babies.

This store is so fun! The designers for raygun have a great sense of humor, from local jokes and puns to political satire, they dont take themselves too seriously. They have a variety of products aside from the typical screen printed t-shirts, and their baby and kids section is amazing!

This is a seriously cool spot. Its very chic and low-key without being low-brow. It tries just hard enough because it knows it needs your attention but not so hard its obnoxious. The staff is very warm and inviting and the friendliness goes a long way. I had a very positive impression of this place after my visit there. Keep up the good work!

Quirky shirts with great liberal sayings, Iowa inside jokes, and Iowa sports. Fabulous gift ideas, the staff and other patrons are delightful, and there is a adjacent coffee shop. They don’t have what you want in your size? No big deal. They will make it for you. Great place to spend your money.

Absolutely love this store! The people that work there are wonderful and helpful. The merchandise is so cool and unique. It is also reasonably priced. I have had one of my Raygun (it was actually Smash when I bought it!) shirts for 7 years and it still looks like the day I bought it!

Product was good. However, we parked in front of store on a Saturday morning with multiple parking spots open. Put money in parking meter and after making a purchase, we came to our car with a $15.00 parking ticket. Feel scammed, won’t be patronizing Raygun or East Village any longer. Your parking scam is a deterrent and why DM citizens stay away from downtown.
