A solid grocery store in an area needing one. The prices are competitive, and fantastic if youre a member. At that point youll consistently get rewards points and discounts on groceries! The bakery section is extensive and the store never feel very crowded. Its a nice shopping experience which is something you wont find at huge big box stores.

This store is a sham. The store has unstocked shelves with boxes of items strewed about on the floor. Lately, there is rarely more than one cashier on Thursdays and she is in the less than 15 item aisle. I dont know what is going on with this store. Second, Safeway always sends me free coupons for items that are never at this store and the items that are on sale are never on the shelves. See the photo for milk, advertised at $.99. Had to buy Darigold at $3.69 instead. Is this a ploy? Lastly, I have seen homeless people living in the parking lot, people drinking boxed wine on the sidewalk on my way into the store, have had my bags stolen and been overcharged multiple times because the Just 4 U items do not ring up correctly. This is ridiculous. I only go here because its a mile from my house.

Just. Look at those cakes!!!!!!!, Dont you want to eat one right now,and the food in the deli,that chicken is slap your mama good( Dont really, but you know what I mean!!) The staff here is off the chain,a real community store,they take great care of the elders here,they know its a safe shopping experience,prices are good! Love that clearance in the back,in house starbucks,meat dept is great produce,thumbs up,lots of vegan,plant based options all thru the store,floral is picking up, wheelchair accessible, bathrooms too,all and all,a good shop,go early, quantities can run short.

There is a special yogurt drink that I love and can be found only at Safeway.

This used to be hands down one of the better stores here locally. I was charged via my debit card but was assured the transaction was cancelled needless to say that was far from the truth. When addressing management instead of looking at the facts ( my bank account info including the transaction in dispute/question) he opted to review it on tape and state from what I can see it was not debited... I just need to know if from his point of view,he was able to verify this with my financial institution by way of watching a tape of me walking away from a transaction thatcqaa cancelled?. The store has become lazy,rude,inefficient in more ways than one,lacking progression...I could go on but I will follow up with their union and corporate office.

Safeway is a good store. The Safeway app and the Safeway Club Card combine to save me up to 30% off of the shelf prices. I like the deli chicken special on Mondays. You can get 8 pieces of dark meat chicken for $4.99 and choose between deep fried or baked chicken. The careful shopper will find great deals here, if willing to do a little planning and comparing. The store brand products are of good quality, too! This is my primary store for weekly shopping.

Excellent value for money. The number of options is just right. There are a lot of organic foods.

When we travel we can depend on finding made-ready salads and other fresh foods for lunches. The fresh baked goods (donuts), hard to pass up.

I do like the Safeway but the reason I was there today was to do my banking. I really like US Bank, and that particular branch is the best! My husband opened our accounts there years ago and he was the one who usually did the banking. He got to know the tellers and they in turn got to know him. Well last year (in fact on the 23rd of June) he passed away unexpectedly. We were together for 43 years and Im still trying to come to terms with his passing. And the people at that bank have really been there for me. Not only by helping me navigate through all the banking my husband always took care of but by talking about him and listening to me talk about him. My husband was really a special person and it helps me to hear how he touched the lives of others. If you want to bank in a place where youre treated like an important client and where the tellers make time to listen than this US Bank branch is the one for you!

This place is a bit more expensive then other Safeway stores Ive been to. I went in to buy a birthday cake for my grandson and had to holler for someone to acknowledge I was there but then when I got to the register to pay the darn cake rang up $324.99! I just about killed over. When the girl came over to help me I told her I want the cake but not at that price! We laughed so hard she had to have a manager come help me fix it.

Terrible! Most dirtiest Safeway I’ve bee to! Will not shop there I walked back out! Garbage over full! Bathroom was Nasty Nasty Nasty! Walked out! Wanted to throw up😖😷If I could give it a zero I would! There were many workers in there but why was this store so dirty! From the parking lot to the aisles inside! Nope walked out 😡Health hazard if you ask me!

They have the greatest quality and freshest meat Ive ever seen.

Pharmacy had two clerks helping which was great because there was also a line waiting for vaccines. Best time to shop is early mid week. Food Shelves were stocked but I found cat canned food variety lacking. Many brands Im used to buying were missing. Everyone practiced safe protocols.

Safeway.Great selection of foods! I love how they have some options/flavors of snacks that I cant find at my local stores. (Pizza princles, Mega stuffed oreos, Special flavors of chips ahoy. Etc.)

Every day, this is the place to go for wonderful meals at a reasonable price.

Had to go down and get some fresh donuts and bread. And wound up getting a 5 layer chocolate cake. OH the bakery is awesome at Safeway. just like Grandma,and mom, made. Hehehe

Lines are usually long. The other day when I was there and had waited in line for more than 10 minutes to check out, I overheard three managers who where standing around and gossiping about an employee being late - step up and open more check stands when there are obviously frustrated customers. Please do your job and lead by example.

Very dirty. I felt like i was in a real old building that no one keeps clean. Bathroom is eun down in filthy. Staff- very nice.

Okay grocery store to buy from but they tend to be more expensive then most other places. If you shop at Safeway on a regular basis keep an eye out for sales and promotions to save as much as possible.

If you dont mind scanning and bagging your own groceries, its a snap, as there are several SAFEWAY atendants to help, less you have a question.

Takes too long to check out, every time I come here they only have 2 registers open, even on Saturdays, they are inconsiderate of peoples time.As you can see the check stands are vacant, only 2 stands are open.It would be quicker to go somewhere else, even a trip to Costco will be cheaper and a better shopping experience.Update: visited this store yesterday at two different times of the day, and once today, for everyones disappointment they had one register open at all times.

The pharmacy is excellent. The store staff are helpful. But this store is in a high crime area with mentally ill people, beggars, etc.I received a police alert that these two children were threating bodily harm to customers at the Safeway on 216th in Des Moines and to a young child 12 or 13 yrs old. They ordered hot food and ran out. Authorities were notified as well as Safeway management.

Terrible customer service. Theyre ALWAYS closing earlier than the right time that theyre supposed to close. Which is unfortunate for folks like me who get off at. 12 and rush to get to store only for it to be closed early. If you dont like your job then dont work there

While walking into store had one of the employees hit on me and make swxual advances towards me and make way out of pocket remarks in the way of saying he would offer ke money to come home with him and visit him in his next day off. Was very uncomfortable . And disgusted.

I really dont care much for shopping at Safeway its so big and everything is so spread out. Its also expensive if its not on sale. Last week I bought shrimp which was on sale I made a wonderful dinner. I also purchased some of their flowers which sometimes are reasonable but most of the time too expensive. Guess what Im saying is unless its on sale I probably wouldnt go to Safeway to shop unless you needed something specific and that usually have everything

Safeway is spendy. but if you watch the ad. you can save money. their products are excellent. I love to get the fresh veggies.and their deli meat and cheese. and make a great sandwich. n the bakery products theyre like Mom and Grandma made.

Only one entrance in and out the store, which is a little annoying.

Serviceable safeway. Not huge comparatively speaking. Staff were not pleasant, not rude, but not great. No greeting at any point and obvious this was the night crew as they just lacked the level of professionalism you would expect during the day. If there are other grocers check them out first.

This store is not as big as some, but theyve got the usual supplies. Good gas station on the lot. A bit scary after dark.

After paying at the deli for a large order, im walking out and the cart freezes. One of the staff runs out and accuses me of stealing. Terribly embarassing. Will never go there again. In this climate they should be more careful. I am of color, i cant help but think it had something to do with it. Do NOT patronize this place.

Ok not the best but workers are helpful

This used to be an amazing Safeway, but in recent years, its gone extremely downhill.1. Every time I shop here, theres always some person whos trying to shoplift. The police are almost always there.2. They are terrible at restocking items; especially after a surge (winter storm, COVID, etc). I look for certain items and it takes them weeks to get them back compared to other stores.3. I went to get donuts one time, and the middle rack had LIVE ANTS crawling all over the donuts.4. Their produce section is not the best. Ive found moldy/expired items on multiple occasions.Theres a bunch of other problems with this location, but to say the least, Im disappointed with this store.

Above average Safeway. Product section is all right. Prices are well normal for Safeway Albertsons. AKA, Fred Meyer, Walmart, SARRS are all cheaper than them. Good thing is theyre open late.

I had a good experience, I came in with my bike and they were friendly and still helped me place my order at the deli. I ordered the 12.99 Chinese food meal. It came with two sides two egg rolls, chowmain and rice with egg. I also got a big Dr. Pepper.I had a great experience. This store is bike friendly and they were very accommodating. I recommend shopping at this store for sure.

They’ve put many essentials—like over-the-counter medicine and toiletries—in a separate section you have to check out from before you can finish shopping and check out with the rest of your items. It’s a huge pain!

Had a whole chicken and 1/2 gallon of whole milk in my list left without both. Employees seem nice though.

Always a good place to get groceries real quick. Fresh produce and good deli. They have fast checkers here and a wonderful Starbucks.🥰

Fried chicken is always delicious at Safeway.When I am doing my grocery shopping I have to stop and grab a couple of chicken legs and a handful of heinz taco sauce packets. Coat my chicken in sauce and devour.

Since when does Safeway sell expired items. I just bought 4 bags of Bamba snacks for my baby its a kosher item like corn puffs basically. Expired since February 21 2021 . Still on regular price not even a discount..

Safeway had some incredible deals. I wasnt expecting to buy much but a alot of pork steaks were on sale and they are amazing! The lines were a little long and busy but cashiers were fast and friendly. Its my go to place thats in my neighborhood:)

I really want to give them 5 stars, it is my safeway but when I get off of a 10 hour graveyard shift to get some donuts so that my kids might let me sleep a few hours ; ) they are not ready so very often..

Clean store, friendly staff. Butcher was extremely helpful. Plenty of parking, Starbucks conveniently located inside and they also have a gas station with reasonable prices. Bathrooms are not locked which is really convenient when you have to go Like Right Now ☺️.

Bought snickers cake, and when I was eating, there was hair inside, I wanted to throw up!There is hair in their bakery ! I cant trust there bakery anymore.Not only the cake I bought, there was also cake pieces on the shelf with some hair in it! Gross.

The only problem is there shopping carts they need a tune up everyone ive used so far a some problem with how it rolls other then that the people that work there seem friendly and helpful prices are good theres also a deli and meat dept theres security in parking lot to watch over your vehical also a gas station yes safeway sells gas

We shop at this store usually a few times a week and I have for about 20 years! We meal plan and try and get all the ingredients that we need for the week in one trip! I also go during the day usually never in the evenings. The staff is real nice! The cashier Carl always tells us jokes! The only issue I have had at this store was as I was leaving once someone was begging for money by the doors. I walked past them, as did other customers, but was car was parked near the doors and even though I usually pay attention to my surroundings, the person begging followed me to my car and I didn’t realize it! They almost got a swinging back fist to the face! I’m ok with people asking for money but it’s my choice to give or not give....don’t follow me to my car and Safeway needs to kick these people off the property imo so I feel safe as a customer!

Everyone at this store is so helpful! No matter these hard times were going through, everyone is still right there seeing if theres anything they can help you find or to get you out faster! Yes the store is smaller.. but that is something that cant be changed, so no need to take it out on the hard workers putting their health at risk everyday!

This is by far the Worst Safeway store in our area. Trash and Garbage throughout the parking areas not just today but it seems all of the time.Some very good and helpful employees. On check out as always only one checker no box help. Shameful to say the least.
