Just bought a house this week that came with pools and owners gave us little to no direction! First time pool owners we were so confused took a water sample in and they ran it and were Super helpful!! Took the time to answer all my questions! Printed out directions for everything and got us the right chemicals to get us going! Left feeling way more confident about owning a pool. Definitely recommend!

I started off late winter, inquiring about pools with several companies. I came across Central Iowa Pool and Spa and was blown away. I asked to come in and go over everything in person so I could have a better understanding, I was blown away by that meeting. Mario is a phenomenal guy, and our family is so grateful for him and his knowledge! After getting the equipment, Mario was still there to have our backs when it came to questions and concerns. Fast forward to having the pool all set and water in it, a trip in to get chemicals tested and the gal was very knowledgeable and wrote exactly what I needed to do. I wouldnt look anywhere else for pools this is the place hands down!!

Called this morning looking for chlorine tablets for my pool i was told they had 7 pound containers so I told them I will be there to pick it up when I got there they only had 3.5 so I asked if I could buy 2 they told me thier policy was only 1 per customer so I asked to talk to the gentleman I did on the phone and I was told by the girls working at the counter very rude that the manager would say the same thing they just did so i told them Id like to speak with him anyway, the manager came out and apologized for the confusion he thought they had the 7 pound containers left so he said I would be able to buy two this one time and and older woman working argued with him and said if they do it for me they have to do it for everyone he said they would do it because I called and I wouldnt have came if they didnt have a larger size and took my things to the register as I walked over the older woman said that im just going to come back and do it everytime I do not think that was very professional at all I understand the policy and that it was a one time thing so that shouldnt have been said at all the manager was very understanding and apologized a few times for the inconvenience he was the only professional working that day it seems Im glad he was there or I would have continued to be treated like a liar I wont be returning.

We just love the spa we purchased from here! We visited several stores initially and then decided we really wanted to work with Mario and his team. They were so helpful and responsive as we had questions. The delivery down to our home in Pella went so smoothly and Mario even takes the time to train you on how to run the spa and maintain it for the long haul. Would highly recommend Mario and his team at Central Iowa Pool and Spa!

I purchased my Marin spa the month I retired in 2014. Not only have I told my friends and neighbors but I have also shared with Central Iowa pool and spa leader ship and employees that it was the best purchase I ever made. I use it 12 months out of the year. We built our deck around it and so and so it is easily accessible now and will be as I get older. My wife would echo every comment I’m making here. This visit was because of a flow issue and it was all my fault but the service was not only prompt it was impeccable. This company should be nominated for small business of the year. 2 years ago we bought a cheap pool online (from another company) and set it up ourselves. We have has so many issues with it and Central Iowa Pools has been awesome at helping us fix/replace almost everything. Their prices are a little higher but their knowledge is worth the cost. Everything we have gotten from them has lasted way longer than any replacements from online. When we go to replace the whole pool, will be calling these guys.

Not the most honest people (Mario) to get advice from. High prices for compared to shopping round. Was quoted $4500 to replace our pool liner. Could find pool liners for less than $1000. Mario has no interest in negotiating the price. Business must be good, to let customers just walk away. Be cautious when talking with them and never take what they say at face value!

Central Iowa Pool & Spa has excellent customer service. They will take the time to walk me through a problem with my hot tub on the phone, and if I cannot resolve it myself, will send a tech to my home 2 hours away in a very timely manner. We appreciate their service very much!!

I have always received top-notched service and response. We received great service from John when he owned the company and now with Mario. I think you all are awesome!

Better than average. Good supply of parts and chemicals. I think they should make some simple kits of chemicals that they could sell for a whole season that would save several trip s a year.

I called to ask about having my liner replaced and spoke with Mario. He quoted me $6000-$8000 to replace the liner with the thinnest liner you can get. I said I thought that sounded kind of high because I had shopped around and found thicker liners for $1300. I asked if they could just measure the pool and I get the liner somewhere else and he said that would be no problem they could do it for $300. I made an appointment 3 MONTHS in advance to have my pool measured for a new liner and they didnt show. I called them the day before the appointment to confirm and they said they would be there between 2-4. Got a call the day of and they (Mario) said it was going to be another 2 weeks. Its been a month and still havent heard from Mario. Called Valley pool and they will be out next week. If they are making so much money that they dont have time for small jobs thats understandable, just say so but its extremely poor customer service to say you are going to do something (3 MONTHS in advance) and then not keep your word.
