Being from out of town and needing quick repair work before we could drive home, Rhodes went out of their way to get the parts and complete the job during a very busy time. Their pricing was very honest and fair at a time that we could have been taken advantage of. I would completely trust them for any service needs.

Was visiting Destin from Illinois and the day before we went home I saw fluids leaking under the car. Went to Rhodes at 7:30 in the morning and was told they were booked solid for the next week. The lady then asked me where we were from and what the problem was. She immediately said she didnt want us risking the ride home and had one of the technicians immediately bring the car in to check it. It turned out to be nothing to worry about and when I went to pay, the lady told me no charge! Although they did not need to make any repairs the technician still spent his time looking it over and yet they still refused to take any payment! Unbelievable in this day and age. A really honest, honorable business. She knew I was from Illinois and would probably never be back as a repeat customer but still, no charge! Stopped in with a huge bolt in my truck tire, from the moment I walked in and spoke to the awesome person at reception desk til I got my truck back, tired fixed, 15-20 minutes later, nothing but a great experience. Most dishonest shop in the area . Took the van there for a general inspection of the vehicle, told me that there is an “internal oil leak “ asked to show me what he’s talking about - caught the mechanic in the act of having no proof of a leak. I asked for a written report, the lady upfront told me that she’s very busy ( the write up of the inspection should be a normal print out from any mechanic) and she’ll email it to me by the end of the day . Called back that evening she hang up the phone, called in the morning, asked her for the report she hang up . I guess for people that have no knowledge of automotive this company it’s the perfect “rip off” heaven-

So we came to Destin for vacation. Check engine light came on and the vehicle started running very poorly. Was shaking and vibrating repeatedly, as we came to a stop. Helped us through a roadside challenge. While on vacation in Destin, the driver’s side windshield wiper stopped working during thunderstorms. The first place that we stopped didn’t seem to care how dangerous it was. He told us to stop back the next day.We searched on Google for a repair place close to where we were staying. We called first and explained our problem. Terri told us to come right in.It turns out that it was a recall situation in our particular car. They were able to get the part and fix it quickly for us. They were kind, friendly and very helpful.

We moved from Destin but still travel from Birmingham to have Ben and his guys care for our vehicles! Honest, dependable and wonderful in every single way! My Chevy Silverados AC went out on the way to Destin for a week long vacation. I walked in on Monday morning first thing and Terry was very willing to help. We were from out of town on vacation and had car trouble. Rhodes was recommended by the neighbor of the home we were renting. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the shop. I was given an estimate for the problem in less than 15 minutes and the repair was done in less than 4 hours. Very friendly staff. I highly recommend Rhodes. Old-school, long time shop tucked away in an older section of Destin. They helped me out quickly when I had a problem on vacation. Do yourself a favor, skip the national tire store repair centers in the area and go here for honest treatment and fair prices. Parents especially, if your childs vehicle breaks down over spring break, send them here. Take my word for it, Im a car guy from Detroit and Ive been around the block a few times.

We took our car to Rhodes for repair and were told they were too busy to look at the car. We are from Chicago and had some car trouble. I explained that they can have the car a few days and still didnt want the job. I was told they had 3 mechanics quit that week. Definitely not a friendly place. Then they told me the only place that can help me is in Fort Walton. What a joke. I took it around the corner and it was fixed the same day for $95 dollars. A sensor went out. Want some advice go to Dluxe in Destin!

Ive never had dealt with Rhodes auto reapair. But I hear they are very good at mechanic work.

My actual rating would be negative stars. My family was involved in an accident while in Destin on vacation 400 miles from home. The accident was unquestionably the other drivers fault. Rhodes came to tow our van. First of all, the truck driver acted very annoyed that it took us a few minutes to unload a weeks belongings, and he certainly offered no help. The van was towed and stored at their lot for 2 days until the insurance company moved it to their holding area. SIX DAYS after the accident we received a certified letter stating that they had placed a lein on our van (which is most likely totaled). The bill for towing and 2 days storage was $400. We never received a bill and were never given any opportunity to pay and be reimbursed by insurance. So now on top of everything else we have to deal with while having our van totaled on vacation, we have to deal with the completely WRONG, unethical treatment we have received from Rhodes. If you take your business to them, you can most likely expect more of the same. Do yourself a favor and do business with a company that treats their customers with a little bit of respect because you will not get that at Rhodes.

Car repair shops like this are a dying breed: honest, dependable, and fair. This is the only place my family trusts with our cars!

Police officer told us to tow it to this location because there were no fees. We get here and its $50 A DAY. Of course it is Friday and they close at NOON. Extremely unprofessional.Update: now they are charging us $200 to take OUR car out of their yard. They wont accept anything but cash. Unbelievable.
