Visited Detroit and stopped by Marrow for dinner. Was a pre-fixed menu at a reasonable $65/person. Food tasted as good as it looked. Each item was a work of art and not just for show. It all tasted amazing. Our favorite was the lamb tartar and steak, but i would order everything again. The cocktails were also fun and whimsical. Our waiter was amazing. Friendly and very knowledgable about the local area. He gave us great suggestions on where to go next and throughout our trip. Overall, this was the best dining experoence we had in Detroit.
I have not tried the restaurant portion, but the butchery is amazing. I tried some bacon from them on a whim while at Eastern Market, and it was a hit in my house. You can definitely taste the quality. I went to the actual store front to get more bacon, but I had also reserved a custom piece of pork shoulder roast with skin left on for a Porchetta I wanted to make for a smaller group. I wasnt originally planning to get it from Marrow but after calling around, they seemed like the best choice. The cut was a perfect size and the marbling was gorgeous. I have never had pork shoulder that tasted so good. The pricing to me is fair for the quality and I feel better having it sourced locally.
I LOVE MARROW!!! I have been here several times, and every visit has been absolutely amazing. The service is great, the food is always so beautiful and the flavors are equally amazing. I wish I was there right now, to be honest.
Is it possible that after all of my times at Marrow, I have never reviewed it? I would consider myself a Marrow ambassador. If someone comes to visit, we go there. A birthday? Marrow. Just because? We go to Marrow. It’s the most special little place and feels very special without being precious or intimidating.
Ive been here twice, once for brunch, once for the tasting menu. Both were excellent experiences. Every dish Ive had here is expertly made, with creative combinations of flavors, high quality in season ingredients and exquisite presentation. My favorite dish I had was the mini bao buns with barbeque beef and bacon, so delicious. I highly recommend the chefs tasting menu. The service here is impeccable, they were very friendly, helpful and attentive. The bartender also served me up some great cocktails. Their butcher shop is also worth checking out, everything I have brought home has been delicious. I especially like their sausage. Check this place out, you will not be disappointed.
Superb! Their customer service is outstanding. My dining experience here was perfect. I made a mistake with the menu and they were gracious enough to fix it. I went out on a limb (no pun intended) and ordered the roasted bone marrow. I had no idea what I was going to get, but it was delicious. I recommend it!
I don’t get this place!Tiny portions, high prices and disappointing meat selections. Pretty much only thing I liked, was the meat balls I bought out of butcher case,My friend recently went & gave me an almost identical review.
The service is excellent. If youre interested in experimenting with some new flavors and textures definitely check it out. Food was fresh and seasoned perfectly. The menu is somewhat limited, but they have mastered it. Would have gotten five stars except for the price. $60.00 for 6 course meal is too much, 1 is a small salad, and one is a 3 bite dessert. $15.00 for a half glass of wine. Please should be 2/3 full. It was excellent just needed more. Check them out see what you think.
Amazing. First time at Marrow yesterday, and I want to go back today. The tasting menu insures you dont over eat any of the FIVE courses. Great wine selection featuring local vineyards with naturally produced wines.
My date and I had a wonderful experience at Marrow! The customer service was fantastic and was equally matched with amazing food. I went forward with their Prix Fixe menu for our outdoor, yet covered and very well heated, patio dinner. Prior to arriving I had asked if it would be possible to have some meat charcuterie options that werent pork. I was okay if that wasnt possible but to my pleasant surprise, they were able to put together 3 fantastic beef charcuterie options. I really appreciated that!Thank you for the attention to detail, the wonderful food and awesome customer service. We cant wait to come back =)
Outstanding culinary experience combined with a pleasant and attentive staff. Worth every penny. The menu is updated every two weeks, so you frequently have something new to taste.
Enjoyed the dinner and our server was excellent but for a $260 dinner for two sitting on recycled church pews so close to other diners ruined the experience for us.
Wow and wow. First time and I wasBlown away. Food is excellent. We were recommended here for aSmall friends dinner meet location. Something g different to try out, did not disappoint. This will be aComeBack for sure. We all liked it, not aSingle complaints out of 6 of us. Very good.
Amazing food, great atmosphere and outstanding service! Our server (Stephanie) was super attentive and kind. Well definitely come back soon!
I went to Marrow to celebrate getting in to Grad school after seeing a picture of their fried fish on Instagram. Even though it was at half capacity due to covid-19, this restaurant gave it their all. The food was beyond amazing. I even had the amazing recommendation to try Rhubarb for the first time in the dessert. It was worth it.Even when you first walk in, you are greeted with a welcoming smile and an extremely clean atmosphere. I made a reservation on Resy the night before and I walked right in. The whole place is very calming and chill, not like other restaurants that make you feel like your a hassle. I had the 6 course chef menu, which is what they are offering right now due to covid-19. Everything was prepared like it was on top chef on the cooking channel, but somewhere you can actually afford. Everything was amazing. Even got some bubbly to celebrate.Drinks, meal, tax, gratuity plus an extra tip because the wait staff was lovely came to about $97. But it was well worth the price!
Expect to drop at least $180 the second you walk through the door(w/o drinks!). 2 people with an automatic $60 per person plus $20 up charge if you want the only meat item on the menu tax and automatic 20% gratuity even if food or service is sub par! All courses were very very small but tasty with the exception of the main meat course which had the up charge. Only muscled through half of my chewy NY strip and the waitress didn’t even ask how it was. With drinks and all for 2 it was easily over $200. Over all pleasant experience but wouldn’t go back
Absolutely wonderful dishes, the bone marrow is a must try . Great service that takes allergies very seriously. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys food. Only downside is there are only two single restrooms so you may need to wait a short while.
Seriously one of the best meals of my life. The flavors and textures are perfectly balanced in every bite, and the service is nothing short of impeccable. I cannot recommend this place enough, it is worth every penny.
What an amazing culinary experience. One of the best ever! Such fantastic interaction with the chefs and other staff taking the time to show us how the kitchen works. The flavours are incredible and attention to detail is second to none. I wish I could have eaten the entire menu. Cocktails were also superb. Can’t wait to go back.
The food, presentation, and service cannot be beat. I was worried about it being a tasting menu as I can be picky, but it was all made so well that I didn’t have a problem. Everything was so tasty and cooked perfectly. Bravo to the chef team and FOH service.
This was my first experience at Marrow and it was a relatively pleasant experience. Booking on Resy was easy and convenient. When we showed up about 5 minutes prior to our reservation our spots at the bar were already cleaned and ready for us. Our waiter/bartender was excellent. However, my third course (Pea Soup) was heavily salted and my fourth and main course was incredibly over salted (Scallops). It was disappointing to have a meal that I was looking forward to and had such great reviews leave me with a sense of disappointment. However, our server overheard my conversation about the two courses being over salted and was gracious enough to comp a round of our drinks because of the seasoning problem. My three other courses were delicious with the flavors and seasoning spot on. I will probably be back to Marrow at some point in the future but trying other restaurants in the area will be a higher priority than making a return visit to Marrow, at least in the near future.Update: The Executive Chef, Sarah, reached out to me personally. We had a conversation via E-Mail and I plan to visit Marrow again in the near future. The customer service of this restaurant is unmatched--they really care about the diner and their experience with their food. If you can take away one thing from my review and conversation with Sarah, its that Marrow seasons aggressively. So if you have any concerns about their aggressive seasoning, please make your server aware while placing your order.
Weve been here four times, and its been excellent every time. Its well worth the expense. The atmosphere is excellent. Patrick is the man! Its been great to see him every time weve been in. Quinn is a great server as well.
Ordered the Mother’s Day Brunch for 4 (*2) and the Mimosa Kit in advance -for pick-up. Four courses with directions. My daughters served and we enjoyed a wonderful brunch meal. Gourmet and very tasty... kudos to Marrow for making my Mothers Day a treat. Even better a portion of proceeds was donated to Dynami Foundation, supporting breast cancer research.
We made reservations ahead of time so that we could get a table. That was spot on because the place was PACKED out with tons of hungry people. We were greeted with fresh meat everywhere and knew we were in the right spot for a hearty, meaty meal. Our waitress explained the whole menu as it was our first time here. She thoroughly went over almost every single item on the menu.We got three of the Michigan beef cuts. They were cooked perfectly. The Bao was yummy with plenty of great sides. The desserts were so well made. The chocolate cake with ice cream was WHOA. I really wanted three more.I would highly recommend this delicious spot!!!!!!
Marrow has the highest quality meat that I have found in the metro detroit area! Not only does the quality never disappoint, after trying Marrows meat selection it makes me wonder what they are selling as organic at the local corporate supermarkets, and how they get away with calling it grass-fed/organic. From Pork Chops, To New York Strips, Cold Cut ready-to-eat Deli items, to all natural dog treats the butcher shop never disappoints! Upon my last two visits I have been greeted by a new employee; Aaron. He has been super helpful and very friendly; sparking up great conversation and doing everything possible to make sure I am leaving with EXACTLY what I want. Aaron also politely enforced the policy of one person in the shop at a time when a customer came in behind me and made me somewhat uncomfortable with how close they were to me. 5 stars all the way around. Great Staff. Great Environment. Very Clean. Very Friendly.
Marrow is as expensive as Mabel Gray, and its not NEARLY as good. All told, I spent $213 on two tasting menus and a couple of cocktails. The cocktail with dill tasted like seawater, the corn chowder had a strange hard/bitter component to it. The main course was pretty good, but the final dessert (bacon ice cream) was bad. The bacon was overpowering and the mix with the fruits was nearly inedible. I gathered from the staff that I wasnt the only guest to feel this way.If this dinner had cost $80, then I would have given this five stars, but it was a very high price point for a very mediocre dinner. I will not be coming back, and I will certainly not be recommending it to anybody else.
So the majority of my reviews are 4 or 5 stars, mainly because I only review the places I feel people really should go to. Marrow is no exception. From the second you enter until you leave you are treated with absolute care and professionalism. On suggestion we did the tasting, so were able to sample chef suggested dishes that were perfectly time to allow us to casually finish every dish (split between 2) with enough time to discuss the different intricacies involved in it before the next dish was brought out. Our server did a superb job suggesting wines to compliment each dish within our individual flavor palettes. Looking forward to when we can return and taste some of the missed menu items.
My husband and I had a fantastic anniversary dinner at Marrow at our first venture out since coronavirus started. We just relocated back from New York and were nervous about how much we would miss the food scene but Marrow stood up to many NYC spots. The patio was perfectly spaced out and everything was well thought out to ensure safety for both employees and customers.Food wise everything had a special touch and surprise ingredient that added a unique flavor. The tartare, gazpacho (unreal), bone marrow and tart were must haves. They even made me an off the menu espresso martini when I requested - very much appreciated!
Only one thing is that they don’t have the signature bone marrow that day. But might means they care about quality rather than just present whatever they can find.Beef tartare was pretty good. I like the flavor, tasted a bit Asian fusion. The soup had a bit thai kick which I really like too.Scallop was cooked perfectly. The texture and flavor are right one.The dessert with almond cookie (or something almondy) and ginger ice cream was amazing.Overall, my combo came out as the standard choices. $60 buck was well spend. We also had wine, but I don’t know the price.
Pop up was great. Look forward to having dinner there
Delicious. Expensive but you know what youre getting into, worth every dollar and not overpriced when you consider what all you get and the quality. I also love that they get their product locally. Worth it!
Fantastic meal. Every dish was excellent. The combinations and details exquisite. One of the 3 best meals I ha e ever eaten.
Fantastic service, a wonderful patio, and great quality food. Been a loyal customer for years. Marrow rocks my world!
How this place gets less than 4/5 stars is mind boggling. Anyway, our experience was amazing. It started with our server Kita. She was very knowledgeable and patient as she helped us navigate the menu answering all of our questions. We ordered a small cheese plate to start. Next we ordered the melt in your mouth bone marrow accompanied with made to order buns. Lastly we chose each of the butchers picks. The pachetta and strip steak plates. They were well thought out and absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back!
Not really a butcher shop. There is a token case of meat but it’s just popular, expensive cuts. No custom cuts and any questions have to get relayed downstairs/to the back. Better off going to Gratiot Central Market and getting a real butcher.
Absolutely delicious! Loved the chefs choice idea, just relax and enjoy.. excellent cocktails quality liquor. Limited server interaction as promised. we brought blankets to keep bum and legs warm and it was perfect. Not a meal but a dining experience, cant wait until next time!!
Amazing food, drinks, and service. Couldnt have asked for anything to be better. Highly recommend!
THE best culinary experience of my life.
Great service and atmosphere. Set menu that changes weekly. Out of five plates, three were outstanding. We will definitely come back.
My daughter made reservations at Marrow for our Mothers Day celebration and I truly enjoyed the experience. The service was wonderful, the food was delicious and I loved the space. I definitely will go back.
Decided to try this restaurant on a whim. I wish I had not. 5 courses and each were pretty underwhelming. They did have potential to be great, however a medium steak shouldn’t come out well. The other dishes either lacked flavor or were over salted. The charcuterie course/plate was by far the best and I think that’s a bit ridiculous since they pride themselves on plating and overall having good quality food that taste great. The “Chef” needs help and or to sharpen their skills. Raise the standard here!
Absolutely wonderful. Every dish was expertly crafted and presented beautifully. Each dish felt intentional, that is to say, as the flavors of each dish melded together, nothing felt overpowering or out of place. Every flavor was delicious individually and came together to create something greater than the sum of its parts.Additionally, the atmosphere was very pleasant. Well enough lit to see each other and read the menus, but also dim enough to encourage a relaxed and intimate dining experience. The waitstaff were attentive, knowledgeable, and kind.No complaints whatsoever. For anyone living, or visiting, the Detroit area, I would highly recommend dining here. I know I will certainly be back.
Unbelievablely good. Get the tasting menu. Eat everything.
Absolutely fantastic meal! Everything that we had was delicious and our server Scott was excellent
I highly recommend the butcher shop here. I called more than 10 butcher shops around metro Detroit to ask about the source and quality of their meat, inquire about the farmers they work with, and how they handle the meat deliveries etc... I also asked whether they offer special cuts and orders. Marrow was the only place that had precise answers for all my questions, where staff was patient to give me the answers they did not have readily, and who satisfied my environmently conscious requirements. When I got meat from there, I knew I could never go back to regular grocery store butchers. The taste, color, texture, and smells remind me of my childhood getting fresh meat in my dads village/ tribe in Morocco. It is expensive ($15 for a whole chicken for example) but it is so worth it my husband and I just have vegetarian meals and fish so that when eat the meat, we get Marrows. Plus it is great for our health and we love it. Seriously, I do not feel guilty, unhealthy, or bloated when I eat from Marrows butcher shop.
This was one of 2 must-visit places that our daughter had identified for our first trip to see her in Detroit (just FYI, the other was Selden Standard). She chose very well indeed. There were three of us, and we shared 5 menu items among us, making for a very satisfying dinner. We had the bao, the yakitori (which happened to be an amazing lamb based deconstructed gyro on this night), the tongue, shrimp with gnocchi, and a cauliflower dish whose details escape me. For me, the bao and the yakitori were the stars of the evening.Service was just right - attentive without hovering, making for a very pleasant dining experience.Be sure to wander past the butcher cases in the shop while youre coming or going - they are sure to either inspire, or make you hungry.
I didnt try too much here, I really only got one plate and a dessert, but the one plate was fantastically impressive. I got corned tongue, and as someone who doesnt really eat tongue, nor is typically fond of corned meat, this stuff was fantastic. It wasnt too tough like you might expect tongue to be, and the flavor was nice and balanced. The additional food put around this place (carrot mochi, and some fried carrots, if Im remembering correctly) were great complements to the meat. I then got this simple pot of chocolate dessert. It was good, thats about all I can say about that, and how can you really go wrong with a dish like that?Aside from the food, I enjoyed the ambiance. The place looked very upscale, yet they had a sort of butcher shop in back. Sitting at the bar I managed to see most things from the menu as others ordered them, and everything had an enticing presentation. It took a lot of willpower not to order the roasted marrow so as to save my wallet from going down a rough trip of food sampling, that stuff looked amazing and from what others said, it was really something to go for.Additionally, the owner, Pei I think she said her name was, was walking around, and she seemed happy to talk with the patrons and explain the inspiration for this restaurant. Essentially taking less considered meat cuts and foods, and also avoiding waste of any kind. It seems like theyre keeping to their mission because their menu had a variety of flavors and many ingredients I dont typically see served, which is refreshing. I can appreciate the work and risk running a restaurant like that must present, especially because you have to convince people this stuff is going to taste as good if not better than what theyre used to eating, and this place definitely achieves that kind of presentation and demonstration. Its the kind of cooking Id like to see more of.Just another note, their menu lists a chefs selection option, which seems to be at a much more affordable price than the typical ones I see elsewhere, and Ill likely be coming back to try that out, so Ill be updating this review with details whenever I get around to that.I cannot recommend this place highly enough.
We had high expectations going to Marrow, but we were very disappointed. For the price you pay, the food was decent. Mabel Gray, Selden Standard, and Oak & Reel are much better restaurants. The worst part of our meal was the service. Waitress was off putting and seemed to have little patience. I guess thats what happens when you automatically charge a 20% service charge for a table of 2 people. We live in the city and we really see no need to visit Marrow again.
Fantastic tasting menu, every single bite was delicious
Enjoyed lots of less than traditional brunch entrees, including a Korean vegetable pancake with an egg on top that knocked my socks off (shared multiple entrees with friends). Staff is enthusiastic and informed, great service. I’d been for dinner once and loved it. Highly recommend.
Superb. Deserves all the hype. Every touch was deliberate and I felt completely taken care of. We took some seats at the kitchen counter with same day dinner reservations. We could only have them for two hours but or server kept us right on schedule without rushing anything. Knowable and friendly service, immaculate menu and execution.
I am a semi regular customer at the Marrow butcher counter. I appreciate the unique cuts of meat available. The customer service is first rate, and the counter workers offer expert advice about their products. I regularly buy the maple tarragon sausage, and I have shared it with friends, who rave about its deliciousness.
This place is da-bomb! Its one of the best restaurants Ive been to. The service is AMAZING! Couldnt ask for better treatment and care, she explained everything, gave the best recommendations, and made sure we are satisfied with a big smile! (My bad I forgot her name). The food is super tasty! All the dishes we tried were excellent, we tried multiple dishes and shared them and they all were super tasty. The drinks are great, had couple and both were good, one of them was extra good;). I highly recommend this place, go and get multiple dishes and try them out, its so worth it!
I really appreciate the precautions they used to stay safe during covid. Despite the limitations they put on an excellent meal/service for us. The food was exceptional on every level. It was a really fun experience.
So good. Seriously. We were finally able to secure a reservation spot and opted for outdoor seating. It was a completely covered patio with plenty of heat( no need for extra warmth ). Our server was prompt and so kind. We are so much food but totally worth it. I wish I had taken pics because everything was beautiful. For dessert we had flan and chocolate tarte.. now I do not like flan but my husband does. Let me tell you it was absolutely delicious... More cheesecake like and a salted caramel. Absolute fire.A Detroit Prize for sure.
I wanted to love Marrow so much. Lets start off with the positives: The service was VERY good. Food was delivered on time, with a smile, and drinks were always full. Also, they make a GREAT moscow mule - highly recommend! The negatives: the food was just not good. My fiance ordered the steak and eggs and the steak came out cold and the asparagus was raw. We expected some sort of fried egg on top, but it was almost like an egg salad that had no flavor. I had a penne pasta and the pasta was salty and the asparagus was also undercooked. The charcuterie board was TINY for what is called a butcher shop. There was two types of meat, two types of cheeses, and two breads for two people. For almost $300 for two people for meals, drinks, and tip, I expected to be highly satisfied with every portion of the meal and I just wasnt. As their menu rotates every week, I would still suggest giving them a try, but there are definitely better restaurants nearby.
I have a $50 marrow gift card that I wasn’t able to use because of the $65 per person set up. I personally think the place is overpriced.
Absolutely amazing. Quality trickles through every aspect of the experience here. The detailed menu playfully forced me to order something outside of my comfort zone. We consider ourselves to be quiet adventurous tasters, Marrow showed our taste buds a delightful time! Ordering ahead proved to make our social distance dining experience even more enjoyable without the pressures of making a knee jerk selection.Grabbing a few to-go items after the meal was the right move, we highly enjoyed the take and make goodies that were offered. Specifically the bao scotch egg, two of our favorites wrapped up on one delectable package! Our server, Patrick helped make our experience fantastic. Thank you!!!
Repeat customer of their Meal Club. Its outstanding! I sincerely hope it has a long run. On Sundays I drive from Plymouth to Detroit and back to pick up the prepared food. Its that good.
Great tasting menu, good atmosphere, friendly service.
Valentines Day preset menu was very well thought out and executed flawlessly. Keep up the great work! Cheers!
Best Detroit based restaurant I’ve been to in awhile! Be sure to check it out!
Great food and experience! Can have mixed crowd, carnivores and vegetarians with tremendous options.
Marrows Butcher Shop is one of the premiere establishments in Detroit. With its amazing prices, selection, and dedication to sustainable practices, Marrow cant be beat.
Really cool inside- took advantage of there take out meals. .super g eat deal & food.Inside is really a stand out....just the right amount of delight!
Sat at the bar and received great service. The bartender was just as passionate about the food as he was the drinks. Would go back for the bao buns 100 times over.
I have been fortunate to have experienced most restaurants in Detroit and Marrow is simply another level above the rest. The flavor profiles and attention to details is second to none. One of, if not the, best dining experience I’ve had
We enjoyed patio dining not long after it reopened. First, and most importantly: Marrow very clearly takes the well-being of its guests, staff, and community seriously. Every conceivable precaution was being followed including distancing, masks, single-use items, outdoor seating, etc. When a restaurant is this meticulous about your safety, you tend to feel a lot better about the mysteries of how folks are treating your food when you cant see them. At Marrow, you feel as confident as you can that youre in good, competent hands. The prix-fixe menu was outstanding. One of my favorite things about a place like Marrow is, when youre kind of boxed into something you wouldnt ordinarily order and it turns out to be a blessing in disuguise. A solid 50% of the generous items we ordered werent things I would order on purpose in normal times. Every single bite of every single plate was delicious, thoughtful, and stunning. Id gladly order any one of those items again. More importantly, it leaves you feeling like there probably isnt *anything* here that isnt just outstanding.Nice job, Marrow- we really wish you the best
Awesome with a touch of an old fashioned butcher shop. Detroit is starting to thrive again.
One of my favorites. Solid provisions. Joined the monthly meat club and love it! Always something special in the box. If you stop in make sure you grab their meatballs and bacon.
Best resturant I have been to in a long time! We had the beef tartar, the bone marrow, and the lamb.
I havent been to the restaurant, this is a review of the butcher shop only.Ive been subscribed to the meat club for 3 months now, and each month Ive gotten some really delicious meats and other items which have really upgraded my cooking. Each month I get a cooking fat (typically beef tallow), stock (not this month due to some mishap at the store, but to make up for this I got a $10 voucher which is nice), a cut of beef, usually some kind of steak, house-made sausages (with really creative flavors, always super delicious), bacon (they have the best bacon), and usually 1 or 2 other ready to cook items, which usually have some ingredients sourced from other local detroit restaurants like Shewolf or Sister Pie, which is such a great idea.Ive also gotten some non-meat club options, which have also all been great. I got a duck for Thanksgiving here and it was great, you can usually get some duck breasts or legs in the shop, but the selection varies by day. Every meat Ive gotten has tasted fresh and delicious. Customer service is also top-notch, and I love all the covid precautions theyre taking. I would move in with them if I could.
Great social distancing on a nice looking patio. Fantastic food and great service. Really top notch. We will definitely be back.
Excellent food and service. Covid safe environment and dining experience. Would highly recommended.
Food is great with an ever changing menu. Great fresh-cut meat selection.
Cant wait to go back to this really cool atmosphere when restaurants open back up.. celebrating a leap year birthday we headed over from Windsor to Detroit and stopped at Destination 1905 for cocktails before heading over to Marrow for our reservation. Cute area of town we hadnt previously explored.
Fabulous hospitality and the food was delicious. One of the best in Detroit!
Was disrespected on so many levels. Humiliated in front of a business partner, embarrassed!!I have been waiting to try Marrow for awhile and due to Covid, I kept putting it off until recently. The service was the worst ever to say the least. We were rushed in an unbelievable way, felt unwelcomed, no communication for 1st timers, misinformation given on the phone vs the experience, rudeness, completely ignored on multiple occasions . Discriminated against? Perhaps! While I understand the stress the whole world is facing, we do go to restaurants to distress and while i understand the policy of the restaurant to not have servers spend too much time by the tables, the rolling of the eyes was not necessary. I left my table to speak to the manager (Amanda THE GM) and that was where things got worst. Felt really humiliated by her. Smirking at me, rolling her eyes and literally dismissing me back to my table.I was very clear with Amanda The GM that I have been embarrassed enough in front of my client and would deal with this issue later. She recited the email address of the owner assuming I can just memorize it. I requested it on paper. Amanda rolled her eyes again and ordered me to the table, even though I made it clear to her that I do not wish to be further embarrassed.10 minutes later, another server comes to the table and asks that I step inside the restaurant. ARE YOU SERIOUS!!! After several mentions of how I just want to finish this horrible experience quietly out of courtesy for my guest, how dare you interrupt my dinner to ask me if I want to leave and get a full refund???!!!? And there was never a mention of any refund in any of my prior conversations!! I am not looking for money, Im looking for respect and courtesy.Unbelievable treatment. At one point, Amanda made sure to mention who the part owner of this place is.This is prepaid service and yes it does include a 20% gratuity. Hard to believe.Real shame how such an establishment (owned by Ping whose other establishments i frequent regularly) was successful at destroying a dinner and an important meeting. And this was caused by an overzealous GM Amanda who made sure to mention to me about 5 times that she is the GM (even wrote it on a piece of paper).Ping, Sarah .. I hope you read this and hope you address how your customers are treated. Please train them to show some compassion and courtesy especially during these unprecedented times the world is going through.
One of my favorite and highest quality experience in Detroit. Food was delicious. Staff was friendly. The entire experience was Excellent. Honestly, perfect place.
A top tier restaurant in the Detroit metro. Their precautions for the ongoing pandemic were easy and intuitive. The food is absolutely the main attraction.
Wow. Great meat. They have a subscription service where you get high quality and interesting meat every month. Cannot recommend enough.
