Seriously loved this place. Im a huge fan of mom and pop spots like Dutch girls (EXTREME DUTCHGIRL FAN) so trying anything otherthan had to be just as awesome!! First timer and it was more the GOOD ! FLUFFY AND FRESH!!! At work waiting for 5am so I can get another.☺️😅

Went there to get a cup of coffee and was I floored by their apple fritter. It was crispy but inside doughy tenderness. With plenty of apple flavor all about and not an overpowering taste of cinnamon....just perfection 😋 By the way coffee was very good too. Im from Dallas but next trip Ill be stopping by 😊

These are the best doughnuts Ive had - i was about to specify in Detroit but i think theyre actually my favorite ever, anywhere. The French cruller in particular was outstanding! The regular doughnuts are light and fluffy yet have enough body to them that you dont feel like youre eating pure sugar. Its a magical balance theyve achieved.

I had them catered for an morning event I hosted, by recommendation from a friend. The service was amazing; they helped me carry my order to my car, and my order was ready and hot upon arrival. The variety was really good and donuts were very well priced! We ordered coffee too and it was really good. Im definitely coming back here to cater for future events

1st timer and they had Great cream filled donuts, very fresh for such a late hour, that I appreciate in a small business go here its worth it.

The ambience is amazing !!! The donuts are sooo delicious and the workers are so kind. Their donuts make me love flavors I don’t even like regularly. I love sitting inside here because of the old style setup. The other customers are even so fun there is a real atmosphere here. It feels like a “home” not a business.

The sweets hes slingin keep the customers coming back for more, and the women working the counter make a mean, mean cup of coffee. This place has it all. Bomb fritters? You got it. Perfect sugared raised donut? Check. Local ownership? Bingo. No hipsters? No problem. Old-fashioned counter top sliced right outta history? Boom. Im have the pleasure of trying most of the donuts offered at this southwest Detroit spot, and I can say with confidence the place doesnt make a bad donut. Low prices, too. Its a great neighborhood joint with a legacy of giving people the caffeine and sugar they need to get through their day. And make sure you swing by for paczki day, too.

This plac charged me for spending 11.00 on my card thiefs there wasnt even a sign posted that I would be charged for spending my money there.Me being a doordash driver has nothing to do with the rating I gave you, you must be a new owner because donut villa has been open for many years and has never had a credit card machine the fees your credit card machine company charges you your costumers shouldnt be responsible to help you with the fees stop using small business as a excuse to charge your costumers to spend money at your establishment low prices? No I can go to la rosa bakery get a dozen at 6.75 and the donuts are way bigger

Must know: Only accepts cash!Could have been 5 stars for me but I hate when businesses have a cash only policy. That will effect how often I go. For one its 2017 & I dont always carry cash because its not needed most places if I do carry it, its prepurposed. So, when Im buying $20 worth of donuts Id rather use my card.I came here to pick up some donuts for my office. Ive had the apple fritter before and was telling everyone to try them. So I figured Id just pick some up. Their fritter is amazing and gigantic, reminds of fair food, but so do the cinnamon rolls! Anyhow, i didnt realize Id be making myself late to work because I had to hand over my parking cash and make yet a second trip to the ATM. If that hadnt been part of my experience Id give them a 5.

Ive been going for years and never had a problem until today. The chocolate donut she sold me was so hard if I hit someone in the head it would give them a concusion.Then the powerded/sugar jelly donut smelled Awful and yes I did take a bite to see if it would taste Ok, and it definitely was NOT Ok. It tasted just like it smelled as if chemicals were in there. Dont know if something fell into that batch and they didnt want to throw it out, but DEFINITELY something was wrong. I called to speak to the owner and she said theres no way she could give me a definite time to speak with the owner because he always in and out, REALLY?!? That is EXTREMLY unproffesional!!

I took a chance and bought 2 dozens of doughnuts on election day for the crew and it paid off. They were delicious and we enjoyed them all.
