Ive been going here 7 years now on a recommendation from a friend and it has been such a relief to find them. Theyre honest, they dont over charge, they wont tell you that you need work that you dont, and theyre willing to work with you if its something you cant afford all at once. If they make a diagnosis and get it wrong then they try again and dont charge you or have refunded back money (Ive had two friends with hard to diagnose cars that this happened to - the one that recommended them to me because theyre so honest and a friend that I recommended them to after I started going).They have a table in the store where you can wait while you get your work done if you need to, and enjoy the company of the regulars.Honestly its the best and you wont be second guessing yourself for choosing them. ❤

First time using this garage. I can see why they have such great reviews. Very honest and straight forward. Price was incredibly reasonable. They towed my car back to their place and got me back in my car by the end of the day.

Get our vehicles inspected and repaired here. They also have a lovely tow service. Plenty of snacks and drinks.

I have been doing business with Dover Paint& Varnish since 1996. They do outstanding work and prices are fair.

My sons lost its brakes (no accident, just scary). Had it towed to Dover Paint and Varnish. After looking at it, they said all of the brake lines were shot and needed to be replaced. Not a hard job, just tedious and costing a decent amount of money. I told them to get started and we would deal with the price after they were done.Fast forward to today. Get a call from our guy. Turns out he checked on recalls and voila, there was one for this exact issue on this car. He called a Subaru place, they said that they could deal with the repairs, we just needed to authorize and pay for the tow.He just saved me over $500 in repairs. He didnt have to, but it was the right thing to do for the customer. This is why I have been going there for almost 20 years, and why I recommend them to anyone who needs an honest mechanic. Happy late Christmas to us!

I have never used this place for paint or varnish. Its a quick in and out for beverages on my way home. No waiting, cashiers are always nice. Plus, if you like Stewarts soda, they have it! Four flavors, in fact! Also have pre-made Moes subs and a big selection of coffee in self pumping carafes.

Always upfront with the pricing and follow up with any additional concern. Reasonable price and the diagnose always spot on. Done various jobs with them, axle, bearing, coolant, even timing belt over 5 years. Reasonable price and always a pleasant.Minor cons, few times, completion delayed for a day or two, due to high volume.

I recently had an issue with my car battery and Dover Paint and Varnish sent a repair man to my house to help me install the new car battery I had bought (my car was stuck in my driveway so I couldnt bring it to an Advanced Auto Parts or a place like that). The person they sent was very nice and professional and the installation price was reasonable. Will definitely look into giving them more business in the future!

This is the place you must go if you want fair honest work done on your vehicle. The place is a family business with integrity and hard work at its core. They will treat you right and do the job you need done on your vehicle. If it doesnt need it, they wont do it, if it will need it, theyll let you know when, and if it MUST have it, they will do it at a reasonable price. Been going here for 20 years, and wouldnt want to have to find another place.

Brought my sons car here yesterday after Sullivan Tire estimated $1400 worth of work needed after it wouldnt pass inspection. Dover Paint quoted me $1000 to do the same work. I left the car for the day and when I picked up the car, the total bill??? $460!! Most of the work that Sullivan Tire said needed to be done, didnt need to be done. Love this place! They now have a new customer for life. Sorry, Sullivan Tire is Dover, you just lost another customer. And to top it off, Dover Paint went ahead and put a sticker on the car for me and didnt charge me the inspection cost. Talk about incredible customer service!!

Today I used this towing service for the first time, after calling local towing companies / garages and comparing prices and availability. I was surprised at how much lower their quote was (it was a long tow), and somewhat fearful that the guy that showed up wouldnt be terribly professional or that the truck would look like Mater. Wow, was I wrong. The gentleman that showed up was friendly, professional, and respectful, and he had my car safely anchored in to the flatbed tow truck in no time. He showed up when they said he would (they gave a range, and he was exactly on the earlier side), and the dealership confirmed that he got there right when they expected him. I would absolutely use this company in the future - if today is any indication, theres no need to look any further. Thanks, guys!

I locked my keys in my car and they showed up within 15minutes, unlocked my car in under 5min and charged me only $20. I would consider myself a regular in the store because these are down to earth, honest, hard working people. Thank you Dover Paint and Varnish!!
