I shopped at this location today and was helped by HECTOR & just wanted to say that its been a long time I dont experience this great level of customer service. I wanted to buy balloons to welcome my neighbors newborn baby . Hector helped me put something together and I loved how it turned out! He also helped me to put the balloons in my car since I was shopping with my one year old and could really use the help. Because of him I will continue to shop at this location.Thank you Hector!

Clean and organized. You can find just about anything for a party here. I didnt give it 5 stars only because I have found similar items (not many) for cheaper in other stores. The quality is very good here, so I do understand the reason for their prices.

Im glad this Party City location in Downey does have helium to inflate balloons right away. But they are low in inventory on a variety of the prepackaged Birthday balloon bouquets they sell for $19.99. I had found the perfect birthday balloon bouquet at another Party City but they didnt have helium and they told me that if I bought it at that store then the location in Downey wouldnt be able to inflate the balloons! That due to the coronavirus you can take purchases from one location to another 😭

The attention is great but the quality of the balloons isn’t as good.

The process to pick out my sons costume was very easy. We picked it out, gave the number to the attendant and with in seconds we had our costume. Their was an empty dressing room and we tried it on very quickly. There was a long line to purchase but it went very fast. A happy child equals a very happy mom! Thank you party city!!!

Although my order wasnt ready when I arrived for curbside pick up, the gentleman who helped me was very courteous and brought my order to me fairly quickly.

I just picked up my online order. I waited 20 minutes without any acknowledgment that someone will help me. I saw two or three kids busy doing go backs, a girl and her coworker clocking out, and literally 3 people helping with the line. Nobody acknowledged and all. Of them saw me standing there for a very long time! I understand how it gets busy but no excuses in acknowledging customers. I had to come to this Party City because the item I bought was only at this location and was close to me. Otherwise, I do not plan to ever come to this location again. I hope that any online order pick up I have will be at the Long Beach Town Center Party City only. Wake up millennials and forth coming Generation Zs! Customer service is still alive today! Acknowledgment is key! I feel sorry for. The workers who were working tonight who all lack this!

Came in a few days ago was helped by two girls named Natalie & Vanessa THEY ARE THE BEST helped me find everything i needed for my kids birthday party and a TIP for other customers. DONT B MAD AT THE EMPLOYEES FOR THE LONG BALLOON WAIT, ITS NOT THEIR FAULT PEOPLE COME IN WITH 100 BALLOONS BEFORE YOU WANT TO GET YOURS FILLED . :)

Worst party city... there was 5 employees and not one approached me to help get a costume... and when I finally asked someone they said to go were it said costume pick but no one was there. I just left will find the costumes somewhere else.

Over all I think its a great place to buy partying supplies. The only thing that bothered me was the fact that they did not have helium for my balloons. 7/10.

Great place to get your party planning. They decorate seasonally and have everything for a party whenever. I went to get some Easter candy and ended up getting individual candies instead of a bag off 100 starburst.

Needed plastic trifle bowls to prepare two trifles for a gathering. Wish I had taken a picture they came out beautiful and delicious per guest.

I all had to do was call for this store to receive 1 star. All I did was call to ask if I can come in to have some balloons filled with helium. A guy answered, he said “no we don’t fill outside balloons” I had to drive all the way to another Party City to find out that these stores definitely fill outside balloons. Really? It’s a Saturday and you want to be so lazy to not work that you lie to people? Maybe it could be that it’s not a “corporate” store. Still, really ridiculous.

Nice place and mostly all we need for parties are there. Some articles are so high prices but we DONT have in Downey so many party. Suppliers stores. If they give us reasonable prices can be better for that store and More customers could be viciting the Party Supplies. Please check the prices there. Thank you.

Well-stocked big box has basics but neither as low-priced nor with the variety one expects. Always leave without everything I was hoping for and paying more for what I settled for. Staff not always available to help and right before big holidays it is a zoo.

I read all these comments on party city not having helium ! Just a FYI it’s NOT party city who’s not ordering it or what not . It’s a natural gas an a huge issue is the Climate One day if the world keeps going as it is we will have none !!! There’s a HUGE SHORTAGE ON IT !!! I HOPE THIS HELPS OUT SOME OF U WHO HAVE HARD FEELS THINKING ITS PARTY CITY AN THERE ORDERING BUT REAL TALK THEY HAVE NO CONTROL OVER HOW MANY TANKS THEY GET THEY ORDER A HUGE AMOUT AN WILL GET 1/4 of what they order !!! I was looking for candy scoops for a candy bar, I waited too long to get but they did have them here. However they should have plain scoops. The choices were bedazzled pink or blue, I got blue. When I walked in, I was directed to the center candy isles. There was only 1, and it was defective, crystals were coming off. I asked employee, he said only in candy isles. I told him theres only one, defective and not the color I want but thank you. I decided to look around and see if there was anything else that would work and the area with them decorations had more scoops, still just pink and blue but not defective and several were available. Lost 1 star for uninformed employee.

They dont answer their phone and if they do they avoid helping you, keeping youon hold.

Its entertaining coming in to see all the stuff they have. However, the stuff is only for tematic parties but one can get creative.

I was followed around the store like I was a criminal. Im 8 months pregnant and had fitted clothes on...i dont know what or how I was going to steal anything. This was my first time I ever been to party City and that was very disappointing. I was trying to buy gift wrapping paper for a church event and this happens. I had to leave the establishment because dont want spend money somewhere that hires people who act like that. Unfortunate because they had some pretty cool stuff I could have used for other events.
