Took my Jeep there and the guy tried to convince me the front end drive shaft needed rebuilding. Quoted me $90 for labor, got on the phone with the parts store and I hear him say his cost is $58.01. He says it will be $450 parts and labor and that the 5801 was a part number and the dealership wants $1,400 for this part!! I feel pressured because I was in a hurry to go a long way and needed 4WD. I said go ahead and then grabbed my phone while he got started. Thank God for Google!!! The part is $120-175 online!!! Which meant the $58.01 was HIS price as a mechanic.Ive had the vehicle inspected by 3 other mechanics and none of them find anything wrong with the drive shaft!!I dont know how these guys sleep at night the way they lie to women!!!Know what you need and verify the price before you let him work on your car.
