Very nice selection, but the customer service is terrible. It never use to be so bad. A couple crews have been great over the years, but this new crew has unacceptable customer service. I would give one star, but their selection does not reflect such a rating. I will try back in a year or two.

This place is amazing. They have beer from all around the world (microbreweries!) along with local MN, WI, IL, ND beer and even some crowlers. Great staff and unbeatable selection.

After traveling across Idaho, Montana, and South Dakota we were extremely excited by the variety and prices at this store. We bought 6 bottles of liquor to last us thru the next 2 weeks. No, we dont drink too much- just the right amount

There are liquor stores and then there’s Mount Royal Bottle Shoppe / Beer Cave. I just wasn’t expecting to love everything about this place. It’s an experience with an amazing selection of domestic and imported ciders, local craft brews, and awesome service. I found Aspall cider, Seattle Dry cider and dozens of other amazing dry ciders. Typically stores only offer a few skus of dry cider, if any, but this place had two end caps and multiple sections devoted to cider and I’m still reeling over how amazing the selection was.the experience got even better when they were offering samples of Wild State cider. Will definitely go back every time I’m in Duluth. This shoppe is the standard bearer of what of liquor store OUGHT TO BE!

My go to liquor store. All local brews, with so many good too choose from, why buy national brands. Great selection of wines also. The employees are always happy to answer your questions. Try them out, you will make it a regular stop. Heck I been using it for over 30 years.

Have been here many times and bought many fine wines and scotch, but this last there was no excuse for incompetency.After purchasing several bottles of vintage wine, they were boxed for me as usual per my past experience; however, one of the cheap boxes broke on me while I carried it despite one arm under the bottom and a hand through the hand slot. The bottle weight was too great for thin cardboard. Few of the bottles survived.I placed a call to the store and requested the manager to call me to discuss this unfortunate set of circumstances, but several days later still no phone call. So my business will be elsewhere. A courtesy call would have gone a long way to ameliorating this situation.

The Beer Cave!! This place has an outstanding selection of beers. Im a big fan of sours and they had dozens Ive never even heard of! They seemed to have a good selection of wine and spirits too, though I didnt really investigate. Definitely something for everyone here.

A good liquor store with great variety but I have 3 gripes:1. Their beer cave doesnt keep their beer cold.2. Its hard to see the prices. Either stuff is not priced at all or the product hangs over the shelf covering the price. I am not going to lay on the floor to see.3. No specials. I need a cheap beer for the deer shack, Im not going here.

Good selection. Staff has always been polite and helpful. Never had trouble with parking. Alternately, you can order delivery through the Drizly app and forget parking altogether.

One of the best places in Duluth for craft beer. Lots of variety to choose from whether you are looking for imports, local craft, domestics, or regional brands. They have a large section of craft beer in a walk in cooler so it is ready to drink. They also do lots of sampling and show generous support of the local faire.

Selection of beers is solid, including gluten free. Kosher wine used to be limited to Mogen David or Manishevitz but now carrying multiples from Israel. My wife finds a great inexpensive french wine here. Brandy an whisky selections are good. They do regular tastings, and sell local like Bent Paddle and Vikre.

I try to get up to Mount Royale when visiting the family in northern Wisconsin. These guys have some of the best selection ive seen in a bottle shop anywhere in the Northwoods. I usually dont walk out spending less than $50, but thats because craft beer isnt cheap.Keep up the good work, guys.
