The prices are high and you have to ware a mask. They open late they say 10 but dont open till 11. The service is alright but could be better especially from the manager.

Novelties are overpriced but what else would you expect at a highly rated university. The store is very clean and almost always have exactly what I am looking for. Staff which is mostly students always treat people with kindness even when they are about to close. The balloon sales are always worth going to because you never know how much youll get off and it makes buying more accessible to students

The store was great, not only books but food and other items too. The staff here are amazing and when you need help they are there to assist you! Absolutely loved this store and would definitely go their again if I had the chance.

Clean and friendly books of course are always on the high priced side. So are the items too. Would be better if they would match retail.

I have never had an issue with our bookstore until today. I needed to buy an online passcode for an econ textbook which is required to do the homework (first assignment is due in 4 days). They informed me that they were all out. When I contacted UMD stores they told me that they still had 13 codes available that were bundled with the paper copy of the textbook. They told me that I would need to buy the bundle in order to get the textbook. Its only 20 dollars more, but I will never need this book again, I hardly have enough money to afford textbooks in the first place and I see no reason why they cant sell me an access code on its own.If the class is going to require me to purchase materials through the school than they should have them in stock. I normally get my books online because of the upcharge the store applies to textbooks, but those codes make it impossible. If it is possible to buy the codes elsewhere the university gave me no assistance in doing so. Do yourself a favor and never shop here when you have the choice.

The upper store is open later than lower store, has simple groceries, snack foods, and on-the-go meal items, art supplies, simple amenities, gifts, souveniers, and clothing. Great selection of art supplies, clothing is expensive as it is collegiate wear. Lower store is office supplies, books, text books, and electronics.

Perfectly fine store, but often out of popular books and they really need to update their hours, the lower store is only open 3 hours a day

Prices are really high when shopping for anything but I will say they always have what Im looking for. Dont do all your shopping here but its good for emergencies.
