Excellent customer service. Had an issue, their team came together to get it resolved quickly. The bag itself is excellent, well made, and you get to know the name of the person who made it. Im a customer for life.

The one the only Duluth Pack. A fun store to visit. Lots of other merchandise to browse besides the packs.A few smaller gift items, lots of Duluth Pack t-shirts, hoodies etc. Full line of mens and womens clothing. Didnt see much in the way of youth or childrens clothing. A little of everything.

Employees were more than helpful! Very friendly and knowledge people who fielded every question I threw at them with style and ease, sometimes grace was needed and they were0 all of that and then some. While the prices are not for the faint of heart, theyre fair and reasonable considering the excellent quality of the merchandise, the construction of said and most of what I looked at and bought was Made In USA ! What they carry is the stuff legends are made of.

UPDATE: Customer Service was incredible. Reached out to me and corrected an issue, and the new pack is fantastic! Just old school cool. Leather straps, and buckles, and waxed canvas that feels like it could last a lifetime!

The rather important business of picking up my non-profit groups permit was put in jeopardy by a staff that was not aware that the name of the group leader can be changed at the time of pick up if one is going in as a non-profit(scouts). They almost ruined our trip before it started, and could only say, Im really sorry. We got it resolved elsewhere, but this was not okay. I get that its hard to find employees now, but issuing permits appears to be beyond their present capabilities.

Very quiet right now, but one of the only places that is open in the evenings in the canal area. There are great options for outdoor clothing and gear. There were many workers, but not many shoppers at the time I visited. Very warm environment.

A cool shop to visit while in the area and down the street from some other really cool shops.

Love the decor, the ambiance, the products.....but expensive stuff. (I didnt say over priced). Just expensive high quality. If youre doing well then this is your store.

It’s a really excellent selection of apparel, accessories, and outdoor supplies. It’s a store you could spend hours in checking out cool gadgets and gifts. I ended up buying a bunch of locally made candles and kept running into new products I wanted. Also, the apparel merchandising was really nice.

Canoe, they have the pack. Been using Duluth Packs for close to 50 years. Just was in BWCA last weekend with three of them. A Duluth Pack #4 holds everything, we always say you can get one more thing in a Duluth Pack. They have good supple of clothing and camping equipment. Full line of Makenzie Maps of BWCA. Stop by for all your outdoor toys, er needs!

Bought a Filson winter hat, pricey, but amazing workmanship, and grabbed a Filson ball cap for summer breezes. Duluth Pack screams quality.

I was in a bind. At the southern terminus of the SHT I packed my things, after a 22hr drive from Virginia something was missing… fuel. Drove to Walmart, nothing. I called Duluth Pack and a human assured me they had exactly the type of butane my stove required. Well it was a beauteous drive to a beauteous town and I was welcomed by an employee who was beyond friendly and had what I needed. Thanks! Great experience!

Very helpful. When an sales floor employee asked my if I needed help which was done 10 x at least they all did it in a way that didnt make me feel like there doing there best to get me to just spend money. I hate it when employees even ask me 1ns if I need help. Ill ask when I do need help. Even the 19th time I was asked I didnt feel pressured no sure how they did it. Duluth Pack must have reformat there brains and upload tactile skills. My wordy way of saying it enjoyable to just going there even when you not sure if you even want to buy anything. Plus 99% quality.99% because no one is perfect

High End Prices but VERY nice stuff. Like nice enough to justify the prices. More fashionable outdoor mens clothing than anywhere I have seen before. Tons of brands not found elsewhere. Bring buckets of money when you go but it will be worth the trip.

Love this store, but seriously guys you NEED to come down on your prices!!! People are living in hard times right now and your company has a ton of money. Outdoors people want good products like yours but in this day and age you NEED to understand that people want to have fun outdoors (after being stuck inside for so long) but cant afford to pay a fortune after losing their jobs or getting laid off!!! Excellent store to visit if you need anything outdoor related or if need a great pack for work or school. We picked up a pair of hiking socks before we left for a day of hiking. They carry dar tough socks, that are amazingly comfortable.

So it was a Saturday morning and UPS drops off a new Gransfors Outdoor Axe from Duluth Pack. Packing was superb. I open it, Im overjoyed with this hatchet in my paws, so I throw some shoes on and take it outside to test, and as to be expected it worked so well I thought dwarves might have forged it. I shoot a bit of spray paint on the bottom of the handle let it dry and then remove it so the grain looks different from other campers tools, yet still will maintain that wood handle feel. Ok so I have done all of this and never noticed the fitting of the head. I mean its so bad I think Duluth sold me a Gransfors second quality at full price. Its fully functional however at full price for a wedge that is the only material in a part of the handle fitting. Gransfors promises that second quality will perform just as good, and it did. But Duluth has a responsibility to inform that sq is what I was purchasing and the price reflected that of A REAL GRANSFORES!!!!! Because of such a blunder I will be verrrrrry hesitant to purchase from Duluth Pack ever again and feel as a GBA fan boy it is my responsibility to inform Gransfors of this blunder. I would like to think Duluth Pack is not buying Seconds axes and selling them as first rate GBA material but hey people do lowly things and some of those people own companies. Im sure GBA will know how to handle this. No pun intended.

I always wanted a DP until they got political. An outdoor company that supports the destruction of our great state.Then they started deleting and closing reviews on social media. No thank you. Plenty of other places to spread the wealth.

Products are not as rugged as they look. Ive had this Daypack now for five years its frayed significantly. One strap is almost half way worn down and theres a large hole developing in the canvas which is not covered by the warranty so dont be fooled.

Love shopping this store. They have many Northwoods related items... Clothing, paddling, and hiking items

The store has great quality winter accessories with plenty to choose from. Its kind of pricey though. I bought a winter hat and it was almost $40. Thats kinda steep, but it was very warm and good quality. Staff was very nice as well.

Was going to shop here until hearing about their PR stunt this summer. Protect the BWCA and will take my money elsewhere.

I was on the fence about buying a bison duffel bag so i finally drove up to Duluth to check it out. Its a very nice looking bag that Im sure would last a long time, unfortunately I couldnt justify the price for the functionality of the bag. Otherwise the Duluth pack store is plum full of quality outdoor gear. Be ready to spend some money though. Totally worth checking out.

Great store but the acrid stench of industrial waste fills the store. Maybe papa Trump can help them out more and just dump the waste in the Boundary Waters instead.

I love to come to this store to browse. I have also used their packs while a guide at camp. We have put those things through the wringer for decades and they hold up really well. If they do break we can bring them back for repairs and they will repair them. Highly recommend investing the money into one of their bags that will last a lifetime.

I dont understand how a canoe outfitting company can support the destruction of one of the best canoe areas in the world, especially when its in their own backyard. Shop elsewhere and support the Boundary Waters.

A store that is a must to go in when you are down in Canal. It is a little pricey, but its priced right for the top-notch quality you are getting. They have tons of knowledge on their products and the area. The atmospherics of the store make it very enjoyable to walk through.

The staff is highly qualified with knowledge on each product in the store. Every question I had, they had an answer for. All the employees use the products in the store for their own everyday lives as well which is a great attribute because they are able to provide me with personal recommendations. If youre heading up the shore for a weekend in the woods, stop by Duluth Pack and you will be able to find everything you may need.

Ill preface this mediocre review by saying Ive been a Duluth Pack devotee for a long time. Multiple packs and other pieces. On April 15th I ordered a hat and paid almost $13 in shipping which seemed like a lot for a lightweight hat. To compare, I paid $14 for the standard shipping of a Frost River pack in March...more on Frost River later.As of this morning, April 20th, it still hadnt even shipped yet. So I called the store. I will say that I completely understand local businesses are being hurt by the quarantine...but one would think they would be trying extra hard to get merchandise out the door to their loyal customers.Back to my call to the store. I simply asked when my order was going to be shipped and was met with a fairly rude response of we are shut down and only go to the warehouse 2-3 times per week to fulfill orders. I have a hard time believing they would keep a hat in the warehouse but that might be over assumptive. So I nicely thanked her and hung up.4 minutes later I received an email saying my order was shipped. What happened to a little bit of humility instead of the defensive attitude? I received my Frost River pack a day and a half after ordering it online. An actual pack...not a hat that has been sitting around on the shelf.This might be the last time I order from Duluth Pack.

This is a great store to browse around and they have a very helpful staff. It is a very unique store and experience that you can only find in Duluth. The products are all high quality and long lasting.

Most uncomfortable packs ever made. The way the straps lash to the bottom of the bag makes no sense. I’ve owned 4 Duluth packs, most recent is the wanderer. Never want to look at one again. There’s always some flaw with them. The construction is that of someone that just learned how to sew.Many bunched up areas of stitching and folds in the seams that aren’t supposed to be there. Get your construction methodology down or quit. I’m glad I don’t live in Duluth and have this company represent my city. Stay away.

One of my favorite camping bags is from this store and I’ve had it over 20 years! The store offers such a wide variety of products for men/women. Look forward to buying more stuff soon!

Duluth Pack makes some of the best handmade items Ive ever seen. Nearly everything is made with some combination of leather and canvas, and its incredibly high quality. Most of the stuff, such as the bags, are pretty expensive, but the quality justifies the prices. They also make great wallets! Besides the handmade Duluth Pack items, they sell loads of other gear as well. The store fits in with the general aesthetic of the typical northern Minnesota cabin. Its a great place to stop while shopping around in Canal Park.

Try on some higher quality clothing items instead of buying them online. Stop in next time you are in Duluth to find some clothing that is made for Minnesota weather.

This store is outstanding. The customer service is wonderful. I am a regular customer for a couple specific items but I often bring my dog in. She is greeted with pets and treats from the staff every time. That is what brings me back to Duluth Pack over any other store. #dogfriendly #dogmom

Over-priced gear for yuppies. The only thing made in America is some of the bags. The bags are made in a very rundown building, the heat is minimal and the a/c is even worse. The senior sewers get laid off once they make too much money per hour. Then they hire untrained new sewers at a lower rate to make more money sacrificing quality. Visit the factory for a free tour and see for yourself how bad that building really is, for a billion dollar company you would think they would at least have an employee break room.....

Bought a pair of shoes today. Not happy. One of the shoes was clearly a display one shoe clean one tried on multiple times ditry.

I have been using Duluth packs for over 50 years. I stuck with this brand a long time. I asked them to patch one of my packs. They refused because it wasnt the Duluth pack brand. I live a long ways from here and Ive been faithful but they also did a repair for me that failed before I could even get it out of the truck and leave on my trip. They fixed it for free and mailed it back to me but I had lost around $40 in a replacement pack rental. NOT the company that used to be.. I am seriously considering at this age of going with another brand.

High prices

My family has been using Duluth Pack gear for 3 generations and it is one of the few places left that we know we can still buy very functional items that will last a lifetime. In the disposable age this is a wonderful breath of fresh air and worth every penny!

I was excited to shop here until I researched they hosted the Trumps, a family trying to destroy our national parks not restore them. Think before you Trump!

My husband bought a backpack for me for our anniversary. He sent me a picture and I was very excited. He got a call a couple hours later saying that the last one had already sold and that due to slow system updates, it was no longer available. They did not offer to rectify the situation... explaining there was nothing they could do. Poor customer service. We will not be buying from them again.

I own a Duluth Pack and I had it brought into the store for warranty service. They were very helpful and offered to fix it free of charge. I received my pack back in the mail so I didnt need to make the trip out there again! I would highly recommend this store!

Its everything is made in Duluth, yes the quality and workmanship is beyond the best, yes itll make your outdoor experience that much better, but when the prices are what they are, we in the middle class can only gawk at all of the above. Like strolling through a Porsche dealership.

Phenomenal customer service!I was there yesterday on a small road trip and in the market to buy a hammock. I was greeted and was asking about the hammocks. The lady I asked was not familiar with hammocks, but was super nice and called a co worker who was familiar to help. He told me the pros and cons of each brand, which one he uses, and which one would fit me best. I had picked an Eno one and just needed the straps. He went to the back to see if there were any, but unfortunately were out of stock. He did however come back with another Eno hammock, but in a different fun bright color he thought I would like better! He went one step further and told me a competitor that would have them in stock and exactly how to get there. Could not have been more pleased and absolutely love the hammock! Thanks!!!
