Nice department store, I can honestly say Im sad to see places like this slowing down. Online just isnt as nice as getting to go out with friends and look around.Very well lit, awesome selection. Had exactly what we were looking for and the cashier was super friendly.

Pretty decent visit, I dont know what I was expecting. I am grateful I found what clothing I needed for a wedding Im attending.

We accidentally came in 10 minutes before closing. My wife was looking for a swim suit & some pants. The floor manager lady helped us find, try on and check out within 15 minutes. Amazing. Then Baraj let us out. Thanks for a very quick & friendly visit. Maybe well see you tomorrow with more time to shop.

I had my haircut at the JC Pennys Salon. She did a excellent job cutting my hair from a picture I brought in and she cut it perfectly!!!

Lack of customer service reps for check outs. Wandered around the store looking for assistance. Found someone in jewelry that could assist.

I was in the store briefly this evening looking for a spring coat for my 3 yr old daughter, I couldnt find nothing. So I ask the most helpful cashier ever(Shelby). She went out of her way to help me look for one, getting on the radio asking if anything was out. I was unsuccessful at finding a coat, but found a cute sweater. Thank you Shelby 😊

There were such great sale prices on the clothes I wanted. Unfortunately there wasnt a single dressing room to try the clothes on so I ended up leaving without anything.

If you count the number of items and their users, you might find that this store has everything for everyone. But when it comes to variety, it has very less, specially for men. If you are looking for clothing for women and kids, you might find some good options

I didn’t need to do a ton of shopping, just a pair of shoes. So I was quick to be in and out. But the lady who was our cashier, her name was Cindy. She was very funny and had a great attitude. She made the sale transaction fun and made us laugh even after leaving the store.

Was here about 40 min to closing time. Had a hard time finding clothes that fit me size wise and style wise . spent 120 bucks and got two puma shirts, a pair of female swim trunks, and a tankini swim top. then after buying these items i walked back to the doors and was locked in even though they werent closed yet. so walked to the main doors also locked. had to have them unlock. clothing has gone greatly down hill in recent years. nobody wants ti wear really wide mid drift shirts!! at least i dont.

Terrible staff. The store itself is just okay.. The clothing and other items sold here are okay, basic, nothing too special... (Nothing too exciting is sold here.)But the staff is very unaccommodating, not helpful what so ever, they harass you more than help you.. If they wiped out pretty much all their staff with better employees and higher standards in stocking, cleanliness, etc. Turn up the Customer Service/ Customer appreciation/satisfaction a few million times more then it might be a decent place for the average shopper to go to and enjoy shopping at... But until then... Its the WORST JcPenny store I have EVER visited! Have had more bad/poor shopping experiences here than any where else in this mall. Its the only big department store in the Duluth mall.. Its a very sad excuse for a dying company... Which is why its a dying company and Im sure will not last much longer and will in-turn cause us local Duluth shoppers to have ZERO big name department stores available for us to physically shop at. Hope the company sees this review and learn from it from a local shoppers point-of-view, see it and PLEASE just get it together!! 👏 👏 👏Turn it around so people actually want to go shop there... Bc at the current time, I will NEVER spend money at this JCP location... Until this place is turned up side down and inside out for the better! Its a sorry excuse for a store. Has to be on my top 5 worst stores list ever in Duluth, MN..actually top 5 list of Worst stores Ever visited anywhere!! Mainly bc of the staff.. Needs major help. If there is a Television show or something like Bar Rescue or something along those lines that help completely turn things around, update and upgrade everything etc., At the bar/company, then this Duluth JCP needs it ASAP!!

It was great easy to find items, and fast and polite check out with Cindy.

I had to take some things back that were ordered on line and since I could only find two of the items in store, the clerk was very helpful in finding more items in line and gave us a discount and made sure that the items would arrive on my doorstep.

The store is seriously run down. The escalator sounds like it might collapse or swallow a child. Badly needs repair, you can hear it shuddering and clunking all throughout the store. Cracks in the floors, sloppy cement patching, really dingy, dated chipped up bathrooms. I found what I needed but the employees looked as tired and worn down as the deteriorating store.

Bought dress clothes for family.

Store was pretty well organized. Had a good variety of clothing brands and types of clothing items to choose from. Prices are pretty reasonable. Kind of hard to find helpful staff. Cashier wasnt very professional and seemed disinterested in assisting me.

A lady helped me do a return today, such a very kind, respectful and patient lady. She was in the middle of the return and another worker rudely interrupted her to have her move to another computer. Despite that action and my return became complicated, still was very kind and patient.

If youre a big & tall guy like me it seems this is one of the only places to find clothes that fit. Nice store with a pretty good collection of items to pick from and they usually have a sale going. Check it out.

Uae to be one of my favorite stores. I missed a payment and they took my credit card limit from 1000.00 to 100.00. I only owed 20.00.

Up stairs looking at pillows, no one around. My wife lowered her mask to talk and then cashiers seen it. Started yelling at us to put on our mask. She was atleadt 20 feet away. She was rude and we dont need to deal with this. If I have a hard time breathing, my mask is coming down when no one else is around me.

If youre a plus size...dont look for anything here...if you can find where ots seemingly hidden on the top floor. No thanks.

Generally Pennys can be expensive, but it is the king of good sales. I went to buy a grey sport jacket for $80 on sale... and ended up spending about a hundred on two. A nice linked casual sport jack caught my eye ... was on close out for $20! There are certainly deals to be had there. A covid drawback is no fitting rooms.

I dont know where to begin. There are huge signs that customers should enter through the mall entrance yet people were going in all the other doors. I expected to see someone monitoring the mall entrance but there was no one. As usual, the store was understaffed so any attempt to make a purchase was met with a long wait. They could increase their sales so much by just improving their floor and register coverage.

The bathrooms were run down and filthy, slim selections and high priced

They are one of the only stores that sell big and tall clothes for adults that actually have big and tall sizes. A good deal of the stores that make the claim to have big and tall clothes dont have any selection and the sizes are very limited as well. Not JCPENNEYS! They are doing better than any other department store that I have visited in the Duluth, Superior area. Thanks for dressing the big and tall people of the area in more than a few styles. I for one appreciate it.

Their store overall is good....however...if you buy expensive jewelry always make sure to get the warranty....Ive been married 10 years and my ring constantly has to go back at least 5-6 times a year for diamonds falling out and the band breaking...same thing as my wifes ring....

I brought in a shirt to exchange and the customer service lady refused to do it. I only wanted a different size of the SAME shirt. I did not have a receipt, as it was a gift. When I got home, I found this on their website:Without a receipt:Items purchased at JCPenney are eligible for exchange or refund at the item’s lowest selling price within the last 45 days issued in the form of a merchandise return voucher.*Notice the eligible for an exchange, although the lady only gave me the lowest price option. Not happy!

I found a very soft throw for my granddaughters bed while looking for the flannel Sunbeam sheets that will be available at s later date.

Dont open until 11:00 on Monday before Thanksgiving. No wonder the business is sinking faster than the Titanic. I wont miss this place at all..

I like this JCPenny, and others that Ive frequented. This one is clean, well managed, and mist importantly, signed for their sales and other prices well. The staff is always helpful without being overbearing. The racks appear to be well stocked, and their selection and prices are very competitive with other companies. I definitely recommend.

JCP Salon. My experience was excellent. My stylist listened to what I wanted and the gave me advice on how we could work toward that goal. I am very happy with my cut and style.

I wanted to replace a ring with another one I got for Christmas because it’s cheap and badly made. Two weeks it took for it to fade completely. They refused to return or exchange it. I definitely won’t be buying from this place again.

TERRIBLE LP AND RETURN STAFF. They credited my account on a simple exchange so that they could get $20 out of me they didnt actually need! Ridiculous! Never doing any returns or exchanging at this store again! At least other staff have been nice and helpful

Dont go there before or around 11am Monday through Saturday or you wont get in if youre coming from Door 8 and walking through the mall (11:30am would be better) and also remember to not go there before 12pm or around that time on Sundays because you will have to either wait or go around to the outside door (s).

Disappointed that I could not find a bra size to fit. The girl was really trying to be helpful but didnt really know what was going on as well as she should have. I still give her the credit for being helpful however.

I have always liked Penneys. They have nice merchandise at reasonable prices. And they have good sales. One of the things I appreciate most is the discount I receive when I use my Penneys card. I did run into an issue when I wanted to pay on my account however. The cashier asked me how much I had on my account. He did have been able to seer that on the computer after I swiped my card. He may have been new and inexperienced. A different cashier came to help.

We enjoy shopping at JCPENNEY but the aisles are to packed with merchandise. I would think that the fire marshal would do something about that. But no they will wait till a tragedy happens then someone will do something. Kohls is the same way.

Most staff in the store are very friendly and helpful like the jewelry and womens clothing. The cosmetic Department well thats a different story the women are like Hawks following people around and staring rather then offering help or allowing people to shop comfortably.The clothing is usually out dated an older woman style stuff.Prices are pretty good they usually have a lot of clearances though.

Came in to look for a lamp for my bedroom. It was pretty sparse, no lamps that I saw. Couldnt find a bathroom, looked upstairs and downstairs. It wasnt a bad experience, just sort of meh.

Just was looking around! Their prices has gone higher now. Too much for me to afford now. For my budget fitting. Good store to look around though, and look at what they got for clothes, and other items.

They didnt have one pair of jeans in my size. I looked at 5 different styles/brands.

I had a great experience with Riley - one of the shoe sales associates. I was stuck having to take the display pair of shoes, so he offered 10% off, and then without me even asking he used a 15% off coupon that JCP apparently had but I didnt know about it. It was really sweet to see someone actually care about the customer as opposed to making a corporate giant a few more dollars.

A lot of things were disorganized, and others were poorly stocked. At least in womens and juniors. Our cashier was really nice though, and i love their baby clothes. And we got really good deals on everything.

I really love JCPenney and what makes it better is that the people at this store work really hard to make sure you find what you want! The store is constantly trying to improve so that it has a wider selection of items for a wider selection of people. I know that department stores are becoming old fashion, but this is one tradition I won’t let go!

They have a lot of stuff I like but I would like to see them increase their staff.

To expensive. They offer buy 1 get 1 free. They double the price of their clothing items making customers think their getting a deal. Then they always want you to sign up for their credit card. Big disappointment.

I pray that JC Penny hangs on. We need real stores not just virtual ones.
